INTERACTING WITH: @Piérre Marchonné
MENTIONING: the game in general
Bugling wind sounded the height of the chase as it whipped and twisted Evelynn's sodden uniform. Trailing after that hopeful glimmer of gold and silver, it wasn't long before she stopped cursing the rain. Perhaps she ought to be thanking it, even. If not for it, it could very well have been the case that a vermillion-clad and frigid-footed boy may have been contesting her for the lead at this very moment. As it happened, however, it was just her. Her and the snitch that inched closer with every dip and sharp turn. She was gaining on it. But not quickly enough.
"Aden!" The shout ripped itself from her lips, nearly to be drowned in the rain that assaulted its arrival. "ADEN!" She needed a little extra. Something to give her just a little bit of an edge to help close the distance, and after the impromptu stunt that she had performed last year with the help of one MacAllister and her cowboy saviour, she'd practiced just such a technique. "GIVE ME YOUR HAND!"
She needed but veer only slightly towards Gryffindor's novice beater, hand already outstretched ready to grasp hold tightly. With the weather as it was, and her gloves slick with rainwater, Evelynn honestly wasn't exactly sure if the girl would have been up for the task especially as practice with her, specifically, would have been minimal at best. Nonetheless, the redhead soon found herself alley-ooped as requested.
But it wasn't quite enough. Although it was even nearer now than it had been, the snitch was still too far ahead. Still out of reach. The pang in Evelynn's core grew to match the pounding of her heart as it drummed a rhythm to match the symphony of the elements. The rest of the game blurred with her desire, her focus training in on that one little ball that could clinch them the win. But that was her mistake. As her full attention honed in on the one hundred and fifty point flight, it pulled away from the very real dangers that had grown interested in her progress.
What came first, she hadn't the faintest idea. One moment, Evelynn was speeding after the devilish little metal orb, and the next, she'd forgotten how to breathe as a splitting pain exploded across one side of her body and through her opposite shoulder. A shriek of surprise and agony tore from her lips as ground and sky danced in a dizzying display until it choked off with the settling of her stomach in her throat. Her uniform whipping and tangling in her spiralling descent and the very real fear of a hard ground rushing up to meet her erased any thoughts she might have had in analyzing the reverse trajectory of an iron ball or the identity of the blonde that had collided with her.
Just like last time, however, it wouldn't be the ground that caught her, nor the cushioning effect of spell. Instead, nearly as quickly as she had been unseated in the first place, Evelynn would find herself safely pulled to the back of a broom. Only this time, it was Pierre instead of Woodward.
"T-thanks," Evelynn muttered quietly, one hand wrapping around Pierre's middle while the other braced against her side in a vain attempt to stave off the pain. In a way, the tempered agony served to clear her thoughts, to remind her of the cost she paid to play her position and the reason attached to it. "THERE!" She insisted, lifting her hand just enough to point out the hint of the snitch that had gained a decent lead in the midst of her strife. "GO!"

Nico was the only chaser on her team that had decided to go for the quaffle this time, but she was lucky- none of the opponent's chasers tried at all. It was an easy first grab- or maybe it wasnt? Something had gotten to her, a moment of panic possibly. Either way, it was distracting enough to get her to miss the quaffle despite her being unopposed. That must have been embarrassing. The next two times she attempted the move she succeeded, however, possibly redeeming herself in the eyes of the crowd.

Unfortunately, despite it being beautifully executed, the dive didn't get them anything other than frustration.

As Evelynn and Pierre were recovering from their spiral dive, they were hit out of nowhere by a blatch committed by Alexx. Not only that, but she once again managed to evade detection by the announcer. Luckily for them, two players decided to help out a bit- Anastasia caught Evelynn and Alan caught Pierre. Despite having her eyes on kyle, Cassandra didn't seem to hit the bludger hard enough, allowing her target to escape at the very last moment. In response, both Kyle and Scarlett attempted a hit at Dan, though the sneaky seeker managed to slide out of the way. Finally, Erin may have thought that removing Gryffindors keeper out of the game for good was a good idea, as she sent a bludger hurtling towards him and his savior. Not only did they easily dodge, but they were also lucky enough to have kyle ready to hit the ball right back at the opposition- once again targeting Dan. Their luck had run out there, unfortunately, as the seeker once again dodged.

It was a good thing that Ana was already watching Decipio. If she hadn't there was no way she would have caught the redhead in time. That same Slytherin from before struck again, knocking both Piérre and Evelynn off the broom. Somehow, Professor Jemari missed it again! Ana was more than a little irritated, seeing as she and Rafa had both been given penalty laps for merely attempting to blatch, and here this girl was repeatedly doing it successfully without any reprecussions. If Ana had more time to contemplate it, she would have probably rather admired the Slytherin's skill, but her focus was already on her falling teammates.
She felt mildly guilty for going straight for Evelynn, but a quick glance told her that Alan had managed to save Pierre from plummeting to the ground.
In what she, in her not so humble opinion, considered a quite impressive bit of flying, she shot across the pitch, diving to catch the other girl within moments of her falling off the broom. In normal weather, that would have been at least a little awe-inspiring, but in the rain, Ana considered it near god-tier.
There were many witty comments that flashed through her mind, but none that she opted to share with the seeker. They had a job to do, and Ana would save her hilarious remarks for later. "Where is it?" she called, shooting a quick glance at Evelynn. She didn't imagine being tossed about and caught as though she were a Quaffle rather than a player was helping the Seeker get the Snitch, but hopefully, she wasn't too shaken.
Long story short, I survived

Erin had been tasked with eliminating the Keeper, the Seeker's apparent savior. He did not appear to be particularly durable, a bludger to the back of the neck would send him crashing to the ground. Quick, sudden and momentarily painful, but after the jarring impact the curtains would fall and then there would be sweet nothing. He would not even know that he hit the ground, realize the pain of his body breaking on the muddy earth. Already on the mend when he roused, he could dream unlike Erin. enviable really, the abyss had form and sound. It had life, rather than a void with only one constant - time.
However, the Keeper was blatched by Alexx. A reckless decision that might cost them the game, but the referee did not see the assault. The two of them, Seeker and Keeper would plummet towards the ground. Erin was given no alternative, simply attack Pierre. The bludger would make a thunderous crack as it hit the bat and she would launch the metal sphere at the falling lion.
Alan, not that she knew the name of the frustrating fourth year would zip in and save Pierre not only from a fall but from the devastation of Erin's physical might. The ball would rip past the two of them as Alan grabbed hold of his teammate in a display of Gryffindor bravery stupidity, the durable youth could have potentially shared Pierre's fate. Erin would scowl at the duo as they recovered, Alan did not look the part but the fourth year was a damn tank. An awkward, gangly nerdy tank. A huff of air escaped her nostrils, aim for the wall again? "Damn missed him, same one?"

Nico wasn't sure what was happening in her opponents team as they had started to use an entirely different strategy than she was used to seeing in an enemy team. Litteraly no one from their side was chasing the Quaffle. For a moment Nico felt hesitant, as if maybe this was some sort of sick trap. It stopped her from catching the ball the first time. Were they trying to lure her out? Making her think she was safe from any blatching, but... no. Both the Chasers and Keeper were gone.
Glancing over her shoulder, having caught the Quaffle a second time, Nico finally took some time to notice what had been going on, in more depth. One of their Chasers had caught some of their teammates as Slytherin was attack more agressively. The redhead felt abit sorry for Gryffindor. Almost guilty. Her sympathy with her own team hadn't been high up for a while now.
But that wasn't important now... Turning her focus back in the game, she knew she was a key element for her team now. This wasn't just about her House anymore. It was about her. As there hadn't been any whistles yet or announcements about the red Seeker finding the Snitch, there was still time...
Even though it was so easy.. Even though there was no one there to stop her. The dhampir would make her goals spectacular. Her icecold gaze almost seemed to glow as she used her full might to toss the quaffle in the ring as if her life depended on it. It went in with such grace, the crowd went wild. Her cheeks flushed red as she wooped out in excitement. Zooming back to fetch the next Quaffle, Nico zigzagged with utter precision by anyone who would even think of crossing her path. 'HYAH!'
As if going she was back on the training field, practicing her swing, Nico growled, letting the Quaffle woosh in the next points hard.
Even though the rest of her teammates were having a rough time, atleast her points could keep their hopes up high. Things weren't over yet.Action : Doing as Strategized

Lovely Creature
Effect: You are very distracting to look at. This increases the Control DC of spells in duels and adventures by +2 as well as the DC for finding things in adventures or the DC for finding the snitch in a game of Quidditch. This ability does not stack.
Unsetteling Aura
A Dhampir's Unsettling Aura becomes noticeable. This is created by their presence. It is that uncanny feeling one gets where the small hairs on the back of their neck stand on end and the flesh on their arms turn to gooseflesh. It is as if the room itself was turned down by several degrees and one's heart was filled with a foreboding sense.
Effect: This represented as a 10% auto-fail rate for anyone besides the Dhampir (or other Dhampirs) to perform an action or cast a spell. Unfortunately, this prevents a dhampir from being hidden (entering stealth) when in use. As such any attempts to be hidden in a topic while this is on would automatically fail. However, a dhampir can turn off their aura at the cost of an action (unlike those that have the ability terrible presence) and as an action turn back on their aura. This ability does not stack in intensity when multiple Dhampirs have it activated.Broom : Tinderblast
In the role of Chaser, as a free action if the user of this broom is successful in the quafflegrab they can as a free action pass the Quaffle to another user in an attempt to score. There is a chance of the quaffle being intercepted, however due to the fact that the user is "so fast" with the quaffle this would be considered "surprising" and the attempt to score would be done at +3 accuracy by the player it was passed to in an attempt to score.
Note: The attempt to score would be an automatic attempt by the user that catches the passed quaffle.
You're gonna need a bigger boat

Dan scowled. Why wouldn't that wretched Gryffindor Seeker just FALL ALREADY?! How hard was it to get rid of a SINGLE PLAYER?!
Gryffindor seemed to be out for his blood. Pity that they couldn't land a single attack.
But where was that DAMN SNITCH?! This was really becoming annoying. All that training to find the wretched thing, and he still had no sign of it. This was unbelievable. He needed to find that thing quick, or they were going in be in a tight spot.

@Evelynn Decipio, @Kyle DeRook, & @Alan VanesFlyflyflyflyflyflyfly... That was all that the Britalian could think about. Fly Luciana, save Eevee, and then catch that elusive Snitch! Catch it, and the game would be won! Catch it and Piérre could finally retreat into the comfort of his team's warm embrace, check up on Gris, apologize desperately with every fiber of his being, and hopefully get a good night's sleep.
Well, that was the ideal plan. Alas, life never goes as planned, and Piérre knew this fact firsthand, dipping and dodging rain and anything that could become a threat to his and his precious cargo. Gaining height and nodding at Eevee's instructions, smiling a bit at her thank you, Piérre finally engaged in a steep plummet, aiming directly for the Snitch....
And then whizzing by it without a touch. Piérre wasn't entirely sure how or why they had missed the ball. Perhaps it had just barely zig-zagged out of reach... or maybe it was because his own hand had raised in an attempt to catch it instead of Eevee. Going against what he had been taught as a Keeper. Perhaps that had been the reason why they had missed. Still, even with his huge mistake in mind, Piérre couldn't help but huff at the unfairness. Weren't two hands better than one?
Unfortunately, Piérre didn't have time to reminisce on the failure, and just as he was about to apologize to Eevee for everything, WHAM!
Suddenly he was in freefall.
Many people, Piérre knew, felt fear when they were hit hard in the side or head on with a bludger... for the Britalian, all he felt was giddiness. He was falling! It was almost like flying, were it not for the stinging pain in his side, and despite himself, the boy was grinning like a village idiot, closing his eyes and imagining that he was soaring above the clouds. Man, wouldn't it be pretty up there? Eevee was caught, and that was fine. They wouldn't miss the Keeper too much. He had done nothing but useless things thus far.
He was caught. Opening his eyes, Piérre gasped at Alan, the new Gryffindor Chaser! "Hi Alan!" He chirped, hugging him for both emotional sake and for grip's sake. "Thank you!"
There wasn't long for celebration quite yet, though, for the largest Slytherin beater was upon Piérre and his savior, aiming an iron ball their way. "ALAN! THERE!" Piérre pointed, shouting at the top of his lungs. With a movement of his own to guide Alan, he halfway dropped himself from the broom, attempting to guide the Chaser away. It wasn't often that Chasers were targeted...
Unless Piérre himself was the target.
Now that was an interesting thought. That the Keeper merited more worth to knock out of the game than the Seeker...
"THERE YOU GO KYLE! SIC 'EM!" Piérre watched as Kyle hit the bludger... and missed Dan. Darn. Well, next round was about to unfold. "Let's go get them, Alan! Alanérre! What a combro!" Piérre was laughing the whole time as they performed their next action.

Evelynn had been knocked again.
The wind whipping past his tiny second-year figure and the sun shining antagonizingly in his eyes, Rafael couldn’t help the swear words that escaped from his lips in that moment, his pupils narrowed as he haphazardly wiped the sweat beading at his forehead with his free arm. In the midst of the harrowing events of the game, the young Captain would find relief in the sudden appearance of his best friend – Anastasia’s decision to rescue Evelynn, though he predicted would most definitely prove a threat to her health, would surely benefit the team in the long run. “She is a damned good flyer,” he would note aloud, a small grin creeping onto his face. She hadn’t been lying at all about that much. Could probably fly laps around him, though he’d never admit it to her face – that aside, the Captain was beginning to grow sick and tired of spectating the events of the game. Having finally escaped the confines of his penalty lap, his gaze would flit about the field, chocolate pupils scanning for availability or a break in the other team’s defense, any opportunity to help his team. After all, he was the free agent at the moment – his eyes catching an impending turn of events, he would focus his sights once more, his grip on his broom tightening evermore as he leaned forward in control determination. It was time for action – no more thought, no more assessing, just action.
And maybe a little luck.

Also, if the Quaffle is dropped for any reason, you would automatically (without it taking up an action) attempt another Quafflegrab. Koko was nearly a spectator now. She was leaning forward on her hands, putting her weight on the front of her broom, and she watched Nico with a grin as the redhead scored. "Nicooooooo!" she cheered, "That's right!"
It was obvious what her teammates were trying to do, and Koko raised a single eyebrow. As the Keeper, she didn't feel quite useful, especially now that everyone else was getting in on the action. Koko barely held back from crossing her arms over her chest as rain splashed in her eyes, and she blinked it out of her eyelashes hurriedly.
Well, she'd have to see to be useful at all, wouldn't she?
