Henry was naturally shy, actually he was more anxious than shy except many would get the two confused and presumed he was shy when in actuality he was just anxious and really anxious at that. In every situation in matter where he was his anxiety was present and constantly pressing down on his life which is why he was good at hiding his emotions and feelings as he sat in that compartment with Alina Rosier and Alexa Mackenzie. Although he didn't feel to awkward or anxious around them which was odd but welcoming to the boy, maybe I am was getting better? Maybe I am working on my anxiety?

Henry heard Alexa's question and smiled up at her as he to spoke quietly " uh fine, what about you two? How have you guys been?" Henry reflexively traced the seat cushion as he listened to Alina speak.

Second year, will definitely be different but how different? Will Hogwarts become my escape or second home or I'm I destined to continue living as a outsider? I made friends through last year then why do I still have the feeling that I don't belong, that I if I disappear than no one would notice? That I am and will always be a outsider.... no shut up Henry, stop thinking but what if? No stop it.... but...

Henry then pulled his mind away from his thoughts as he heard Alina speak about professors this time in which he responded with a tiny laugh and quiet voice " I can help you with that Alina if you can help me to not get annoyed with the charms professor this year," Henry loved charms he did but he was ahead in that class and knew almost all the charms in his year and even third year since his older brother taught him before Hogwarts and he may have memorized the textbooks when he was younger since he was bored alone at home with his twin.

With Alina's next comment, it started to make Henry think maybe he should have goals and maybe he should try to follow and do them? Henry then looked toward the two girls and smile a bit before saying " I'm friends with loads of Ravenclaw's, if you want I could introduce you to them? Also do you dislike flying or quidditch? I'm not a huge quidditch fan but I find flying relaxing kind of, maybe I could help you with flying to?" Henry only found flying relaxing since his mother was on the ravenclaw quidditch team and was amazing at flying so that almost was inherited to Henry and his siblings even through he knew that his twin loved quidditch a lot more than him.

After Henry had settled himself in their compartment, Alina continued talking about the things she would try to change this year. She mentioned trying to get have better feelings about Ravenclaw, and maybe making some friends there. Alexa blushed a little. Right now the only two friends she had at Hogwarts were these two, sitting with her. Sure, she knew some others a little bit, but she didn’t think enough to call them friends. She should work on getting new friends, getting more friends. It’d be good practice for her shyness, anyway.

“Those all sound like good aspirations, Alina. Though I tend to agree with you about flying. My lowest grades are in that class!” She frowned slightly. She had passed the class, but only with an “A” for “Acceptable.” Brooms weren’t really her thing.

Henry offered to help Alina with her professor troubles, if she helped him with his. Alexa laughed. The only professor she wasn’t a fan of was the flying professor, and that was only because he had given her the low grade. She brought that up o Henry. “Maybe you could help me with flying as well, Henry,” she said, blushing shyly. She was so embarrassed that she had to look away. Why could she never stop blushing!? She got control of herself and turned back to him. “It’s my worst subject by far,” she added, smiling at him. Then she blushed again and looked away. She had never really noticed how cute Henry was…

"Knowing how hopeless I was last year, I will need help with everything." Transfiguration and Astronomy were probably her worst subjects and Flying was definitely one that she dreaded more than others.

"I'm a fan of quidditch but never had the inclination of wanting to actually play it. My father always had us going to games." And he acquired Puddlemere United over the Summer. Bought a quidditch team. That was pretty cool but she was among non-quidditch fans so it seemed silly bringing it up.

"So what other things do you like, Henry? Hobbies? Interests?" She was curious. She knew Alexa liked her animals and was very good with them but she knew little of Henry other than he had a twin sister and an older brother - if memory served her correctly.

It was a little difficult for her. Alina was the type of person that just wanted to be one hundred percent open and honest with someone and wanted the same from them. She liked to know her friends through and through and them to know her. Maybe Henry could get to this point. She looked over to Alexa to see her looking out the window. She knew she was shy around new people but she hoped the conversation wasn't boring her.

Henry listened to Alexa when she spoke that flying was her lowest her class also before asking if Henry could help her also, that was unexpected and increased Henry's anxiety a but as he flustered or more like stuttered out, " uh yeah, s..sure I could help you with f..flying as well," Henry stopped talking and took a breath to calm himself before continuing " sure I can help you Alexa just send a owl when you want meet, of course we have to use school brooms unless you have your own? But we also meet have flying together this year to, I know first year my friend whose a hufflepuff and I has flying together so it may be the same for second year."

Again he stopped talking at the moment he finished the sentence, he thought he said to much as he again went back to tracing the seat cushion absent mindedly. However he heard when Alina speak about being awful at all her classes and he couldn't help but a smile toward her " I'm sure that's not true, when we first met didn't you say you were good at herbolgoy? " He smiled toward her before going back to his thoughts and tracing the cushion, he never had friends who he could chat with before well he has friends just before Hogwarts he only really had one or two so he was still getting use to opening himself up and revealing who he is to others.

Henry heard Alina speak again this time about liking quidditch just not as a fan as he nodded toward her, he wasn't shy or anything just anxious mostly. Well it was his anxiety really that got in the way of most things not just social interactions as he smiled toward Alina when she spoke again, unsure how to answer he question. Maybe he shouldn't? Or he should? Henry was debating in his head how he should answer the question letting his hair fall over his eyes to hide his view from the others as he thought.

When he finally got a answer, Henry pushed his hair back before smiling at the two and saying " hobbies? Uh I like creatures or animals, reading about them and interacting with them," at that the sentence the carrier seated next to him let out a loud meow, Henry smiled at the two as he spoke " sorry that was just Loki, he's only 5 months but well he doesn't trust many and uh would you two mind if I take him out?" Henry than figured he should continued " he doesn't like most and doesn't really show affectionate, just thought you should know," Henry then opened the door and Loki stepped onto the seat cushion as Henry placed his carrier on the tack above before retaking his seat as the orange cat stretched on the seat next to him and laid down watching Alexa and Alina with observing eyes.

Henry kept a eye on the cat as he turn back to them and smiled before continuing " sorry, uh I also like reading and being outside if that counts, and photography. I also guess I like playing violin, I don't think there's much else," He did however leave the part off about how he liked classes and learning as he spoke again " what about you guys? What hobbies do you guys have?"

She smiled as she watched the cat be let out and roam around the cabin. "I want a cat. I'm thinking about getting one this year but I haven't the slightest idea on what I would name him or her." That was her hold up. She even thought she knew what kind of cat she would get but no clue on a name.

"I don't know if you'd call what I waste my time with hobbies," she said with a soft laugh. "I journal a lot, write down my thoughts...almost like poetry but not. I sketch and I like to paint. I've been working on that. I like crocheting. I like identifying the plants around my home or at Hogwarts. I like being outside and climbing trees. I like reading. I like swimming and I can play the piano. I like music and back home I volunteer at a wildlife rescue. Not magical creatures, just regular critters."

Any other hobbies? Eh. "I like exploring. Map making. I like planning and organizing. I like to try new things, travel, go new places. I like doing projects. I like going to professional quidditch games and music events and I like dancing. In school I like Herbology and Potions best. I want to eventually be a healer or a nurse."

Okay, so maybe she did have more than just a few hobbies.

Alexa smiled at Henry when he agreed to potentially help her fly. That was really nice of him, she thought, even though it made him a little bit nervous. That seems like something to look forward to this year.

Alexa was fascinated by Loki. As an animal lover, she couldn’t help but stretch out and offer her knuckles for the cat to sniff. Henry had said he wasn’t terribly friendly, but she automatically had to try just because Loki was there!

“He’s beautiful Henry! And that’s neat that you play the violin. I can’t play any instruments, but I can sing,” she added, slightly embarrassed. That wasn’t something she usually told people, because she was usually too shy to show them.

She turned to Alina as she spoke of her hobbies. “Wow, Alina that’s a ton of stuff; that’s great! And I think you would make an excellent healer.” Alexa smiled at the other girl. She had known some of it from her visit this summer, but certainly not all of it. Alina was a very talented individual, Alexa thought. She felt lucky to be her friend.

“Me? Well, like I said, I like singing, I like reading, I absolutely love animals. I want to get a pet to take with me to Hogwarts, but I don’t know what yet. I like exploring and adventuring, and I like climbing trees too, Alina.” She grinned at the other girl. “It’s a nice place to be alone sometimes, honestly. I like being outside. Oh, and I love chocolate. That’s not really a hobby, though, is it?” She laughed.

Henry watched as Loki yawn at almost the same time he was listening to Alina say how she wanted cat just didn't know the name for them yet. Henry then listened to her talk about her hobbies and even say what she wanted to do as career, wow that was a lot and she already knows what she wants to do after hogwarts, is it really that bad that I still don't?

Henry smiled when she finished as he then spoke " those sound like brilliant hobbies Alina, are you good at painting? Poetry and writing also sounds really cool," Henry then turned his attention to Alexa whom again commented on his cat and hobbies before reaching her hand out to him making Henry flinch and hope that he didn't starch her. Henry watched as Loki sniffed the girls hand and cocked his head sideways as he jumped from the seat cushion and walked over to Alexa before jumping on the seat next to her and sniffing her again. Henry watched his cat as he spoke " do you have animals Alexa? Because that's probably what he smells if you do," as he watch his cat give the approval meow which meant Alexa could touch him.

Henry then watched Loki jumped from the seats across from him and walk back to him, as Henry picked him off from the ground and placed the cat next to him again. Henry listened to Alexa talk about her hobbies and herself as Loki laid back down on the seat cushion, staring at then ever so motionless.

Henry smiled as he listened to Alexa and when she finished, he then spoke " your hobbies sound amazing to Alexa and I hope you get that pet soon, what pet do you want anyway Alexa?" Henry paused so she can answer before continuing " I like climbing trees as well, are you good at singing Alexa?" Henry didn't say the part where he could sing as well as he listened for her answer.

"Still just a beginner," she said of her painting skills. It had been something she just started at the beginning of her first year back when she didn't have any friends. She had her outburst about being selected Hufflepuff and none of the Hufflepuffs at first wanted anything to do with her and then her sister became more distanced. Painting was something she could take up almost anywhere and do by herself in seclusion.

Henry's questions then turned to Alexa and she didn't mind. She liked to learn more about her friend. She had been to her home that past Summer so she knew of the farm. Sadly, no alpaca - but the other animals were brilliant! Especially the dogs.

Alina listened to her two friends talk but her attention turned out the window at the landscape passing by. Sometimes they'd reach a little town with house after house and other times more wide open spaces of farmland. She wondered if at any point did they pass along where Clifton and his family were? Where her dad was? Maybe they were much further out though. She was losing hope of seeing Clifton again but she hoped that her father would be in contact quite soon.

Alexa smiled at Henry, as Loki meowed contentedly and walked back toward Henry. Alexa reached across the gap and gently began rubbing behind Loki’s ears, and then stroking his head and neck. He was a very nice cat!

Her mind returned to Henry’s question about her having animals. She laughed slightly. "we have quite a few animals. Some dogs, a horse, a cow etc. we have a small family farm in Scotland." The we referred to her parents and herself. It brought her up short for a moment, thinking of them. She knew they were struggling in their marriage, and didn’t know what to do about it.

But Henry kept her mind off of this with questions about a pet. “Honestly I was thinking about getting a rat,” she smiled a little nervously, knowing that rats were not everyone’s favorite. “That way he or she could come with me in my pocket wherever I went. That seemed like a nice idea, to have them around all the time.” She could use the constant company.

Alexa blushed when he asked if she was good at singing. “Well, I don’t know… I just enjoy it,” she said, lamely. She was actually quite a good singer, with a high clear voice, but she was not confident in her singing voice. She didn’t share it very often with others.

Alexa noticed Alina seemed to be drifting away from the conversation. “You okay?” She murmured to her friend, guessing what was on her mind.

Henry smiled with a nod toward Alina's reply as he watched Alexa starch behind the ears of Loki who looked like he was enjoy the attention but didn't purr as he jumped from the seat next to Henry before jumping on the seat next to Alexa and with a small meow.

Henry smiled at his cat as he listened to Alexa talk about her pets and farm at her home, their conversation was reminding Henry of his best friend who also lived on well sort of a farm since they only had horses. " That's wicked that you have so many animals Alexa," Henry replied to the girl with a smile before continuing " I always wanted animals as a child but my family couldn't for reasons.... uh besides from my brother's owl though," Henry changed the topic a bit at he noticed he was about to say his family was poor which was something he never enjoyed talking about and technically not many at Hogwarts knew which the thought again reminded him of his best friend as he looked out the window.

Henry looked back at Alexa as he heard her speak and almost accidentally glanced into her bright green eyes as he smiled toward her before speaking " rats are adorable to not to mention smart also, my twin actually wants a rat also or did that is," technically Henry wasn't sure if Annabeth care about owing a per or the wizarding world anymore since she hardly talks of it or to him now.

Henry nodded toward Alexa's comment about singing as he spoke " I'm sure your brilliant Alexa," he smiled at her before hearing her comment toward Alina and glanced at her to. Henry thought the girl seemed to lost in thought maybe or was stressing about something as he spoke to her " if you want me to leave Alina so you could talk privately with Alexa I can?"
