The fire making spell had been uttered from the green eyes lips. Their intended target for the said spell is the curly hair boy known as Eyre Reeves but when Alan swooped in like the true Gryffindor he is, the fourth year put himself in the line of fire. Literally.

"It is not for you, Alan"The purple hair half yelled from their rickety school issue broom towards the other Gryffindor. Cash strategize for this game is eliminated one by of the people that in the same year as them then moved up to the older students.

When the leader of this club yelled at them and command the purple hair to get off from the field, Cash fuming internally. "It is definitely not my fault,"Cash defended themselves. "You are the one that did not told us which spells allowed or banned"They continued.

Cash is new to this game for Merlin's sake and therefore they did not know which spells are allow and which one are not allowed to use during the game. Cash scanned their eyes toward the field. Searching for the next target for them to aimed at.

At this point they avoid Ana Beckett. They did not want to feel the end of her wrath like Scarlett did. And there is the other choice by targeting the older year students. Cash consider Alan as their acquaintance.

The purple hair then locked in their eyes to their next target and hoping the spell that they are about to spew out work to distracted the said person.

He did not just hit Serena with the spell but had hit himself as well, but they wouldn't descend but instead were launched skyward bringing them into an especially vulnerable position. However it would also give them a clear view from a bird's perspective making it easier for them to stay on the broom.

As she hastily steadied herself she could only watch as her spell would launch towards a target she had not intended to hit, but luckily for the two of them or rather for Pericles, the boy had no issue to jump out of the spells way before he could be hit with it.

He didn't miss this time, he did not even cast the spell. Something or rather someone must have distracted him. Possibly because his thoughts were still with the Gryffindor he had been trying to team up with, seeing as he was hit by flames a spell he knew to not be allowed in these games. But while he cast the spell with bravo the metamorph dodged out of its way with what seemed like cat-like reflexes. Not only had to deal with Xailah's possible wrath later on but he just barely dodged out of a Flipendo's way that could have hit him if he had been acting one second later.

He happened to grab it at the same time as Scarlett but must have been faster as the wand was now in his possession. However he had to realize almost instantaneously that this was not his own wand but hers so he would return it to her. He would have to hurry before he lost sight of his own wand again. However she had not seen coming that Xailah would nimbly dodge out of the way of this spell as well. This was not looking good so far. As she was casting the spell however she would feel as she rocketed into the air all of the sudden. This did not just affect her but also a sheepish looking Alan. From up here she would be a lot more vulnerable to spells but also had a nice few on everyone else without being affected by the ruthless winds.

The stupid redhead seemed to just refuse to be flung from her broom. Ana huffed and took stock. On the one hand, she had targeted the girl the entire game and was leaving herself exposed for whatever other attacks and opponents were coming her way. On the other hand, she had commited to this and Scarlett looked maybe one or two more hits away from passing out.

Willow and Flash seemed to be doing alright, so Ana didn't feel particularly guilty about being useless. There wasn't anyone else that she particularly had picked out as a threat or that had earned as much of her ire as Scarlett.

Should she go for someone who was actually a threat to her own victory? Or should she continue using this free pass to hex Scarlett? Definitely the latter. Shooting the redhead a murderous glare, Ana opted for the same incanation that had helped her thus far. "Flipendo! " she said, her eyes never leaving her target. She was almost there. On the verge of getting to watch Scarlett go crashing to the ground. She swallowed and channeled all of her dislike of the girl into her attack.

A wand was an intimate, sacred tool to any wix. The moment he held the wrong wand in his hand, Pericles knew he had made a mistake. There were many pros and cons to properness. The lad could have seized the chance to hex a witch with her own wand, which would have been a very clever and very dastardly thing to do. Although it may have been less entertaining to any onlookers, he instead uttered a low "Oh" of surprise, then turned to Scarlett and called "Here!" He sat strong in the stirrups, pinching his grip on the Silver Arrow and leaning far. It was then that he saw Anastasia taking aim, glowering daggers, wand raised.

Pericles did not know Scarlett, nor Anastasia especially well, but he knew that look. It had taken him a year at Hogwarts to understand what it meant; now it was instantly recognized. Girl beef. Well, he certainly didn't want to be in the middle of whatever that was all about. Pericles thrust the wand as far as his arm could reach, hastening to restore it to its rightful owner, that he may swoop away from the spat and resume focus on his own problem: reclaiming his aspen-wood phoenix-core. Instead of barreling towards the thing, he tried to get as close to the earth as he could without being disqualified, unwilling miss his own wand in his haste once again.

Flash watched Xailah dodge his spell like she had seen hundreds like it before-- a seasoned pro. She wasn’t that much older than him, how much better could she possibly be? Flash grimaced, but he was far from giving up. Practice was exactly what he was hoping to get, and Xailah was his moving target. Naturally, a perfect round would have seen her getting flung off her broom before Pericles had a chance to come back and help her, but things couldn’t always be perfect. He imagined the Gryffindor was a more difficult target than others, but that was the whole idea. When the major threats were gone, the rest would stand no chance.

It wasn’t as though Pericles was the only one he needed to look out for. Ruby seemed to pick up on Flash’s plan right away and move to defend Xailah. He could have guessed as much, though the immediacy of their pact was still somewhat frightening. Flash wasn’t exactly fond of having the odds stacked against him, but it wasn’t like he had the same sway as a group of prefects. They worked together already, so teamwork was natural.

Flash glanced back at Willow, neither of them were having much luck. He was already nearby, so he flew up beside her to relay a simple plan. If they both managed to hit, they would make sure Xailah was taken out, but if not, well, they tried. Of course, Willow had attempted to attack Flash in the first round, but he had assumed that was the spirit of competition overwhelming her. At this point, it was very clear that the prefects were working together, and that one of them would win if they weren’t stopped. At least he hoped it was clear.

Willow often did as she liked regardless of Flash’s advice, which was probably for the best, what with how controlling he tended to become without even realizing it. It was part of what made their relationship actually work, he needed people who didn’t listen to him sometimes. Otherwise he would take control of their lives as casually as if it had been laying out in a free candy jar. Still, even Willow would have trouble arguing against his logic once push came to shove.

With that, he raised his wand again, wondering how long the game was likely to last at that point. It seemed the tumultuous weather of the season had kicked up some swift winds, but nothing too bad for the moment. His other hand gripped the broom tightly, knowing his luck wouldn’t last forever.

The nose of her broom tipped down; allowing both the vessel, and its rider to evade two spells cast in their direction. Xailah caught a glimpse of light whizz by one, of her two aggravators- which would distract her from witnessing Pericles, fumbling around for his wand below. Lucky lad. Ruby must have been trying to cover for the Gryffindor. Unfortunately the spell missed, but really it was the thought that counted. Xailah would make sure to return the favor. Thanks Ruby. Wait, was the little hatchling really trying to help the cub? They were something of a team, so it only made sense. Maybe she only attacked Flash because he was a bigger threat than May? Well, whatever the reason, Xailah preferred to assume the former. There were times- this being one of them- when the Gryffindor sometimes didn't know what to make of the actions of her peers. She had to question everything; even when the answer was obvious, or established long ago. It was simply her nature, to question.

Flash didn't seem like the type to give up on a pursuit. If he wanted something taken care of, then he would take care of it. That was the energy he gave off anyways. So it was no surprise to the lioness, when she saw him raise his wand a second time. She immediately directed her broom upwards this time. The Gryffindor wasn't going to let herself be an easy target for Flash- or anyone really. As she flew, she failed to take notice of the winds that seemed to have picked up- it was hard for her to register the weather from such a height- everything just seemed windy and cold.

Flash was always the one with a plan of action. No matter what, he had his head on straight and was there to help her through anything. During the ball, he risked himself to protect her from a physical assailant she didn’t know and then swarming mosps. He protected her from her own worries, calming her to sleep with a story in the hospital wing after. Then now, he was attempting to lead both of them to some type of victory even though they were technically against each other.

Xailah was one she knew was a threat from Tarantallegra tag, and Flash suggesting they attempt to take her out didn’t surprise her. It was quite smart to tag team someone especially with their own struggles. Willow having previously been blinded and Flash slowed. As much as she didn’t want to send someone else into darkness she also wanted to win. She would follow Flash into any battle, including this one. So she just had to do her best. Her hand slightly slipped from her broom as she started to fly but she quickly resettled, her heart jumping a bit at the thought of plummeting. It had always been one of her greatest fears. For now, she lifted her wand in the direction of Xailah and hoped for the best.

She was still alive, she was still alive, she was still alive.

That was good enough. Her short term goal would be to keep her status as a living human being. Her in-between term goal was to eliminate Beckett and her long term goal was to win the game. Scarlett turned around and simply shot a glare at said Beckett after being shot with another Flipendo. A few more and she could be out. For now though, Beckett would just have to do with knocking the wind out of her victim. Scarlett reached to grab her wand, ready to start firing spells again before someone else reached it before her.

It was the Ravenclaw prefect she had seen at the pet-grooming event. She had no time to do anything other than put a face to the name because he had already thrust her wand towards her and went barrelling out of the scene as soon as he saw Beckett take aim. "Well thanks," muttered Scarlett, mostly to herself.

She caught a glimpse of Beckett ready to hex her. Scarlett gritted her teeth. Not today, Anastasia. Not today. Scarlett swerved closer, readied her wand which had finally been returned and shouted the incantation. "Flipendo!"

Ruby's spell missed Flash—she didn't seem to be having the greatest luck today. River was down and Pericles seemed to still be searching for his wand. By the looks of it, May seemed to be regaining some control. Was it worth going for her again? A glance at Xailah and a brief examination of their opponents made Ruby sigh. If she was going for a target that she personally had a quarrel with, it would probably be May. However, there were others that she disliked, and she had also promised to help the other prefects. She could go for the same person that Ana was attacking and possibly gain some favour in the Gryffindor's books or at least show that she stood with her, or she could choose a different route.

There was not much time to decide. A wary look around to check the state of things helped her decide that she was needed more with Xailah. Of course, Xailah was incredibly capable of handling herself, but they were a team. And what did teammates do? They tried to help one another. It seemed the Gryffindor still had multiple people targeting her—had she somehow wronged them or did they just recognise how amazing her potential was? Regardless, Ruby would have to choose her action from here. Should she aim for the alleged stalker, or for another girl who seemed to be going for Xailah—a girl Ruby had crossed paths with before? A calculated stare lingered on the pair, and she raised her wand.

Alan had quite a good view from up there and would give Serena a sheepish smile. "Sorry, it was supposed to bring you to the ground!", he shouted towards her, the wind making it a little difficult to converse over the distance between the two of them. "But I guess we have a nice view now...," he muttered a little bit more quiet, his voice probably barely audible at this point. But did that matter? He quite hoped that Serena wouldn't be bothered by this failed spell.

As Alan was watching what was happening below them the boy would notice someone going after a familiar form, Willow! He couldn't let that happen or could he? Technically he and Willow weren't exactly allies in the game but seeing someone go after his friend still made him react almost instantly as he took his wand and began to cast the incantation of the very same spell he saw the other girl use. He hoped that he would not end up hurting her too badly however, halfway hoping that he would actually miss the girl below. Well, he hoped that the two of them missed because he did not want Willow to get hurt either? He shook his head furiously, he would have to stay focused!
