Bittersweet Finished

Aldor would listen in silence, there was really nothing to do, she knew about Iphiane and there was nothing he could do to make this change.

She mentioned that she considered Iphiane helpful, curiously enough, Aldor felt like this as well, he always remembers those long nights when he stayed up late watching movies with her, and never being able to remain awake, only to wake up the next morning with Iphiane quietly snoring by his side.

Before he could day anything, she offered her hand to the Irish boy, hid brain said take it, but his body couldn't handle the pressure, so he simply stood up and brushed his hair away from his face once again, he seemed to be blushing, it was really light, but obvious.

"I'd rather not- Take your hand, I'm so sorry- I just simply can't- I do not usually let anyone do physical contact with me- "

The boy would break eye contact again, quite embarrassed because of his horrible inability to be close it other people. But soon enough his fear faded and it became in confusion, why would she ask about his favorite season out of the nowhere?

"It- prefer winter, the cold rings back good memories- staying home, reading a good book- with Iphiane, baking stuff or just staying on her couch and watching movies, things like that."

She watched the boy confused by his refusal but respected his boundaries. She smiled softly and nodded. She thought back to the late night she had reading the books with her mother. She would always ask her mom to read to her until she was six years old. She decided she wanted to read on her own on her sixth birthday.

"It's quiet alright. I understand."

She smiled and looked around in thought. She waited for him to steady himself and adjust his outfit. She looked back when he started to speak again. She listened to him closely and tried to picture those moments. Her smile changed a bit to a sweeter smile as she continued picturing them. She only snapped out of it when a loud crack of thunder rolled over the library and lighting struck right outside. She shook her head to focus and looked at him.

"We should head back before it gets too bad. I don't think anyone would be happy if we came in drenched."

She let out a small laugh at the thought of the other Hufflepuffs following behind them getting their robes wet. She thought for a moment before a window blew open. She hurried out of the library and headed to the Hufflepuff common room.
