Fall Games Quidditch: Gryffindor v Slytherin

Erin would somehow survive yet another round. This had never happened before. She was not entirely certain that this scenario was actually real. It did not feel real, not once that revelation came to light. Perhaps this was a dream or intended to be a fleeting nightmare and she had already hit the ground hard. Hit the ground so hard that she forgot that she had fallen. Maybe she was dying.

Kyle would come for her and miss once again, defying the probability she had in her mind. The belief that she was not anything impressive, at best perhaps a bit lucky. Dream or sweet death, it mattered not. She would fight here as well. The bludger would find the heart of her bat and with a mighty swing and a hard crack the dangerous projectile would be launched at the enemy Seeker. Some girl, if dead she remembered the face of the girl she could hardly name. Not that she trusted her memory, her ability to identify friend or foe.

The bludger would hit the girl hard. The girl was rocked but she would not lose her grip on the shaft of her broom. "Damn, Erin complained. She was more durable than Erin has credited her for. She would have to--

MerlinCalvinKleinwas barrelingstraightforher!

Erin would veer hard to the left, close enough to still feel the breeze rush past her as the enemy Gryffindor missed what could have been an ending blow. Was she still alive? Was that the lie. She was not certain. Everything seemed normal, even his scent. It left her stomach unsettled. "Who now Dan!" Erin bellowed. Live the life you have, even if it is a delusion. Even if it is but a dream.

Her heart was hammering in her chest and the drumming of the rain was serving as its harmony. Her mind was all over the place. A lot had happened.

She hugged her knees on the bench, it wasn’t looking good for Gryffindor. A Slytherin chaser took advantage of the empty goal hoops, scoring not once, but three times. Not to mention that Evelynn and Scarlett’s attempt to catch the snitch with an alley-oop had failed, but alas the Slytherin seeker hadn’t even seen the snitch so maybe not all hope was lost.

Then, Evelynn was hit. Once by a bludger, the other time by none other than Alexx, Auri’s headliner boss. Her anger was swelling, how come they got away with it when-
her thoughts were cut off and her anger was quick to be replaced with fear.

Evelynn was falling and once again Aurelia couldn’t do anything about it.

She wasn’t ready, not at her first game on the bench. Someone had to catch her, someone...

The following moments passed in a blur. She jumped out of her seat, letting the pouring rain drip down the curves of her face. Her hands tightly clasped around the school broom. A lone pearl of sweat which was racing down her forehead got lost amidst the rain.

Then she saw that Pierre was going in to catch Evelynn and relief flooded her. She felt bad for the girl, she must be exhausted. Nevertheless she plopped back into her seat without uttering a word and watched them safely ascend into the grey sky.

Percival bit at his lip as he watched the two teams battle for dominance in the sky. Currently, the Slytherin's were in the lead by three goals. Though they could still lose if the other team's Seeker found the snitch before Dan was able to. If that happened it wouldn't matter how many goals they had been able to score. They would lose automatically. It was utterly impossible to score more the 150 points in just goals. Their only hope of winning was to catch the snitch and end the game. Inwardly he worried, but outwardly the boy continued to cheer. Hoping that his teammates could pull through for them. So that they would get a win against those blasted Gryffindors.

Evidently, it wasn't very difficult to flip the game on its head. Sitting on her hands under the premise of keeping them warm, but more from attempting to avoid biting her fingernails, Thora continued to gaze upwards, ignoring the throbbing pain at the base of her neck and raindrops trickling down her cheeks. It would be an awful shame to miss the action, after all. Although she had to lift a just slightly-warm hand to violently rub her eyes, thanks to a drop that had flew at it on target, she didn't miss it. A goal for Slytherin.

And then came another, and then a third one. Lips curled into a smile as the Quaffle sailed smoothly through Gryffindor's hoops thrice, raising the score from a tie to 50-20. It was far from a gap large enough to celebrate, for the winner of the match would most likely still be determined by a catch of the snitch, but it was a far cry from the previous tied struggle they'd just seen. Further, of course, the Gryffindor keeper hadn't even been guarding the hoops, but what did that matter? Keepers existed for a reason, and neglecting their duty to fill someone else's shoes meant an advantage for the opposing team. It was as simple as that.

When a bludger flew screaming into Evelynn, though, Thora couldn't help but cringe, biting down on her lower lip. She was the opposition, but Thora thought rather highly of her as they'd been trading Potter-trial-related information as of late; besides, any hit by Erin had to be painful. A blatch from Alexx immediately followed, and Thora automatically glanced at the referee, anticipating the call for a penalty lap for the blonde chaser. So, when none was announced, but rather only a penalty for Gryffindor's captain, she blinked twice, confused. But they weren't complaining about that, of course.

Things were beginning to look up for the Slytherins again, but she desperately hoped Dan would find - and catch - the Snitch soon. It would be necessary for them to pull off a win, after all.

Fall Games Quidditch: Gryffindor v Slytherin

Somehow Erin has managed to still stay in the game. From last season, the young Captain realized the older girl had a massive target on her and the relentless attacks from the other teams often cracked away her defenses until she fell. As she watched the rest of the team playing, their plans being executed quite well with a few minor failures, she let a sliver of hope grip her soul. She couldn't keep failing. Her first game last season as co-captain was a loss. The plans for the secret ball failed. Lost in the darkness that surrounded her failure, she entered a mind not of her own stealing a kiss from a fellow student who she feared and respected. Since she had avoided him out of shame. He was like her god Loki, and though she might want to emanate the power of her gods, she knew that she was not worthy, driving her guilt further when she glimpsed the boy around.

Losing again was not an option she was prepared to face. Things used to fall into her lap. It was easy for her to get her way. She was not used to these failures. Had her gods forsaken her? The darkness began to surround her. The saving grace snapping her out of the blanket of black enveloping her was the announcer stating that Evelynn had been knocked from her broom. She bolted upright from her seated position, looking for the flash of red falling to the ground, but right as she spotted the girl, another red blur saved her. The gods must hate me.

In some rapid turn of events, any lingering disappointment fading from Persephone's eyes, Slytherin scored several times thanks to a certain girl, who owned the air as though it was where she was meant to be. This was admirable, more than that, it was everything the young blonde aspired to crawl to. But that would be difficult, climbing a mountain that was always ascending closer to the bleeding sun or sobbing sky. Rain still fell, after all, but the changing score was shedding light.

Sometime though, perhaps in the midst of the cheering crowd or the screaming players, something struck Persephone. Her eyes widened, a sense of dread coming over her, or maybe it was some veiled emotion that she'd never felt before. Eyes falling upon her own flesh, formed of cold blood, the white had gone whiter. Save duty wasn't that important, was it? These snakes were experts on their brooms, these brooms were their homes, origins, and funerals, previous save be damned.

For whatever reason, a reason no one would know or ever understand, she ran.

Blinking water out of her eyes, Koko cheered for her team. There wasn't much she could do when Nico kept getting the Quaffle - and that was a good thing, she told herself - so she played around absentmindedly on her broom, making sure to applaud when the Quaffle went through the hoops.

Now, Koko wouldn't consider herself a particularly bloodthirsty person - but she did smirk when Evelynn was hit. It was gratifying, in a sense, this turn of events, and while Koko knew she'd feel regret for her thoughts later, she currently didn't care.

The Keeper narrowed her eyes at Pierre, who now had Evelynn on his broom. She'd particularly liked the opposing Keeper, but as he'd left his goalposts, she honestly had to worry if he had his wits about him.

Nevertheless, she sighed. It wasn't as if Pierre's half-wittedness really mattered. What mattered was that Slytherin won. Koko squinted, staring past the rain - even though she loved rain, it was beginning to become annoying - and she allowed herself a tight smile. She could do this. They would win this.

So far, this game was going pretty good. For the first time in a very long time, Alexx felt confident. She felt like she could do anything, be anything, try anything. Alexx felt invincible. Rules be damned, she was going to go in hard and give this her all. Smirking as she comprehended what she had done thus far, she thought to herself how she might not make a bad future professional player if she put her mind to it. She wasn't a first string for nothing, anyway.

"Seriamente?! (seriously?!)"The green eyes let out their frustration to no one in particular. Cash had aimed the bludger directly to the crimson and red keeper two time and both attempts were a futile one. It did not help that the wind picked up. The harsh cold air and rain give no mercy to those who up in the air.

Groaning under their breath they really need this game to be over with. Dan better find the snitch so all the Serpents can get back to their respective dorms and under all of them warm blankets. Cash really hate rain. Soaking their body from up to their toe. Not to mention their uniform stick to their body like a second skin.

From where they situated, they can see that the goal post of Gryffindor left unguarded and one of their team mate score not only one but three time. Cash raised their left hand that clutching their bat up to the air. "Hell yeah"They shouted in under the rain.

Image posted by the member

Then they saw a blob of red free falling to the ground. Cash smirked at that. The Gryffindors definitely had the same predicament like they were just some moment ago. Someone fell from their broom and just in time someone else saved that falling person. It definitely like watching a deja vù right in front of their eyes.

"Come on, guys!"They cheered hoping someone could hear their shout with how loud the down pour of the rain from the sky. "We need to win this thing"Cash added. They peered again at the score board. 50 - 20. The Slytherins already had 1 / 3 score of the snitch. Not bad for the first game of the season. Now they really need to find the snitch to win the game.

Dammit, he’d missed again?

Jesus fucking Christ, this was beginning to grow annoying. Brown eyes narrowing at the indication that he’d failed and nostrils flaring in contempt as his foot only narrowly missed the blonde beauty he was chasing, a sharp exhale would whistle past his lips, carrying with it all the aggravation and disgust he was beginning to carry regarding his playing performance. One failure was irritating, but two? The Captain was pissed now, and it was more than evident on his face, the area around his nose flaring into an aggravated red color as his body hunched itself forward, hands tightening around his broomstick with knuckles white. This was too much. He hadn’t come here to play dodgeball with a beater, for Chrissakes – why was blatching so damned hard, anyways? The pretty blonde had managed to evade him once again, and with it, his hopes for a glorious blatching opportunity had escaped, resigning the poor Gryffindor to another lap of shame. It was flat-out embarrassing at this point, and for a short moment, the Captain had to squander the need to throw a tantrum, he really fucking did. It would be unbefitting of a young Gryffindor man such as himself to wear his heart on his sleeve as such.

Turning his broom in a well-practiced movement, Rafael’s lap of failure would commence, and he would do well to take his punishment in high esteem – his head held high and eyes watchful, he would force his inflamed temper back into a simmer, taking care to readjust his mask of indifference and pay attention to his surroundings. It would be then, that he would grow aware of the happenings of the field – it would seem as if the snitch was still in play, evident by the trained eyes of Evelynn as she continued her hunt for victory. Was she on Pierre’s broom? God, what exactly had he missed? This simply wouldn’t do – leaning forward, he’d allow his weight to be pushed forward on the broom handle, causing the trajectory to even out as his eyes traced the path of his lap. Better give the broom racers a run for their money, then.

Hopefully, if he flew fast enough, he’d be in play before opportunity slipped out of reach.

Interception | When a Quaffle is being passed, users with this ability automatically get a chance to Intercept the quaffle. This does not replace their normal action for the round. This puts the quaffle in your and by extension your teams' possession.

Also, if the Quaffle is dropped for any reason, you would automatically (without it taking up an action) attempt another Quafflegrab. At present there would be no mid-round way to drop a quaffle due to the order of operations, however there will be certain effects in future patches that can cause this effect. [Bodyblow?
