Charles smiled at the boy when he introduced himself as Alec Mason, " nice to meet you Alec," Charles then heard the boy's response about rebelling and he chuckled a bit before saying " you rebel to? I thought I was the only one, maybe I should paint my nails to? I know I will get a reaction from my parents," Charles thought about painting his nails and how his father and grandfather would have a fit over it but then he thought if he could even pull it off like Alec? Maybe he shouldn't but maybe he should... the thought made him think of Cassie and her honesty, now he really wished that he went with her.
Charles almost missed the question about where he's from and Charles spoke " I'm attend Dumstrang but I'm from Durham, England," Charles offered the boy a smile but the chatting was cut short by a booming voice and ghost cat that went running from the room. A riddle? What was the riddle for and why was it there?
He didn't have much time to think not that he wanted to anyway when he heard Alec speak before pulling him after the ghost cat and voice, Charles never been a physical person and he definitely never enjoyed contact with people but for some reason as Alec was pulling him out Charles enjoyed it, kind of like when he enjoyed dancing with Cassie. Charles just spoke while jogging a bit to keep up, " sure, I'm in. I don't think there's anything better to do here anyway."

BroochHenry lowered his wand a bit as he got distracted from his spell when a loud mysterious voice broke out above the ball, Henry looked around quickly as he tried to find the source but his eyes only fell to the ghost cat that was walking out of the wall. The voice was referring to the cat, wasn't it? Henry then looked and saw his slytherin dueling captain reveal the team brooch he had on before running out, after it.
A few others joined him and Henry also hesitantly knew what to do as he felt himself panic, Henry ran back to Miranda, Heather, and her date. Henry pushed his dress robe out of the way to reveal a shiny brooch on his suit just like the other Slytherin dueling team. Henry then smiled at Heather and her date as he spoke " nice seeing and meeting you but I have to go, slytherin dueling team stuff but I'll be back don't worry," he then turned to Miranda and grabbed her hand as he squeezed it he spoke into her ear " I'm sorry Mira but I'll make it up to you promise," Henry then kissed her cheek before smiling at her and the others one last time. Hopefully I return and this doesn't end to badly....
Henry then held his wand at his front and ran off after his dueling captain, brooch shining on his suit and wand in hand at the ready. He was ready to conquer anything or at least try, he was ready to protect his friends through.

More small talk was made. Scarlett wasn't particularly interested in any of these subjects - the Beauxbatons entrance, the swapping of names and the never-fail favourite season question. The French boy, now known as Andre, had introduced himself with an incredibly French-sounding name, true to the stereotypes of his nation.
"I wouldn't say charmed," said Scarlett wryly, but she didn't really mean it. She gave a little sigh and continued. "Yeah, there are quite a few students here with ridiculously long names. What happened to the simple first name, last name structure?"
Anastasia Blair Marie Katherine Alexandra Sophia Isabella Ann Beckett, thought Scarlett immediately afterwards, with a mental eye roll of disbelief.
At that moment, a crack of thunder could be heard, perhaps signalling a storm. She should've known the ball wouldn't be all fun and games. True, it was only weather, but weather would foreshadow what was to come. It was her first Hogwarts ball, and it certainly wasn't going to be an ordinary one.
Then - the window burst inwards with a brilliant crash as a gust of wind swept through the hot room, flickering the candles. Scarlett didn't scream, but grabbed her wand from her dress pocket. The pocket wasn't visible, but was definitely useful. She cast a glance at Lucia, instinctively stepping towards her as a ghostly rider galloped into the room. Scarlett's eyes went wide. She hadn't seen this particular ghost around before, and Hogwarts was crowded full of them.
"Thank Merlin," nodded Scarlett in wary agreement. "You shouldn't be thanking Merlin just yet though! Look."
The rider did a circle round the ballroom and announced terrors to come in a booming, sonorous voice. Scarlett made sure she wasn't paralysed in shock as she listened to the apparition. He said;
“Time is running out!
Something terrible is creeping about this castle, and if no one stops it, tragedy cannot be avoided.
If no one steps up to face this challenge, we are all doomed.
Follow the graceful apparition to find the riddle’s first piece - and if you need my help, call my full name.”
It wasn't a joke, wasn't simplistic fun and games, wasn't smoke and mirrors. The look on the ghost's eyes were very much real, almost desperately pleading for help as he turned his horse round and went cantering out of the window. A dream-like cat padded softly out of the door, another ghost. She looked at the students before exiting into the corridors.
Scarlett turned to face Lucia, who was looking a bit nervous as she recited the ghost's words. "Lucia, we don't know his name, but we don't need it necessarily. Only if we need help, remember? I'm sure we can fight by ourselves. You're a duellist as well! Come on, we have to follow the cat."
"We'll go together and follow everyone else, as well as the cat," she told Lucia, her face seemingly unnerved. Scarlett was born for this sort of stuff - she lived for adventure, revelled in glory and loved nothing more than excitement and peril. "Lily, Andre, you coming? Because we're going to go right now-"
Lucia was already leaving as she adjusted her bag and walked hurriedly towards the door. Scarlett followed swiftly, gripping her blackthorn wand tight. "Rather fun, isn't it?" she asked her friend with a bright expression.────── ☆ ───────Action Leave for The Hunt with Lucia

The Fall Ball (Masquerade)
Just when Wyatt was done hurling insults at Autumn, there was a loud crash of thunder just when the sound of broken glass echoed throughout the ballroom, and a strong voice boomed over the sounds of a bunch of twelve year olds trying to flirt. Wyatt flinched and jerked his head toward the voice immediately. The voice belonged to a ghost sat on a horse, and as the horse galloped through the masquerade, the ghost warned the students of some threat.
“Time is running out!
Something terrible is creeping about this castle, and if no one stops it, tragedy cannot be avoided.
If no one steps up to face this challenge, we are all doomed.
Follow the graceful apparition to find the riddle’s first piece - and if you need my help, call my full name.”
Of course something had to go wrong before Wyatt was able to say a single word to Lindsey, but Wyatt had a feeling that shouldn’t have been his main concern. Time is running out? How much time did the kids have left? And if Wyatt remembered correctly, the ghost had said they were doomed? That if they weren’t able to stop this random thing tragedy cannot be avoided? What the hell was that supposed to mean!
Wyatt wanted to talk to Lindsey again, but he wasn’t going to stand by and do nothing while there was a dangerous evil loose in the castle. Other students seemed to have a similar mindset, Wyatt noted as he watched multiple students follow a ghostly cat into the corridor. Among them, Wyatt spotted one Alec J. Mason sporting painted black nails that suited him quite well… Wyatt assumed it was like a “mom’s not here” thing… but that wasn’t the point.
Turning back to Autumn, Wyatt said, “It’s been lovely talking to you,” and left with a herd of other students. Wyatt didn’t like the feeling that he was completely alone amongst all these random kids, so he tried to catch up with Alec on the way. They were… friends, though… sort of. Right? It seemed to be what Alec wanted, and Wyatt wasn’t really complaining, but they didn’t really hang out in their spare time like friends were supposed to.
On his way out, Wyatt removed his mask, tried to catch the attention of Lindsey Springhall and mouthed "sorry," worried if she'd be able to see him. He set his mask down on one of the nearby tables as he left and held his wand tighly in his right hand, thankful he didn't leave it in his dorm.

If he had to describe the feelings going through his chest as he stared into the hall, he might have concluded that he should really just abscond the situation and return to his comfortable, squashy room. He would have concluded that he should take off the ridiculous outfit, and go to bed, and wake up tomorrow without a single scar, scratch, or blemish on him or his heart.
If he had the ability to self-reflect without the feelings of odd disatisfied guild running through his mind, he would have never come.
And yet, the weight on his shoulders and the shallow breaths made his thinking nearly foggy already; despite still standing at the entrance of the ball. He wasn't even inside the massive crowd of covered faces, and yet.
And yet.
Before he could come to any resulting factor, a direction to walk in (either forwards or backwards) there was an odd happenstance which unfolded before him. He was perceptive, when he wanted to be- certainly so when at a ball and trying to distract his thoughts. Two figures had passed him, wearing, as he noted upon their first visual cue, similarly coloured outfits. He didn't pay them any mind, if anything, there was a silent comment in his head, battling with his anxiety, saying "oh, they used the same fabric in their outfits!". This wouldn't have been cause to describe an "odd happenstance", not until that same pair returned quite hurriedly from the dead center of the crowd- back to the entrance.
It was as if something had draw the shorter of the two away from the party, a notion which scared him- up until the girl's visuals focused on him, and they found their positions just across from him.
were the first words he heard amonst the chatter- the first words directed at him, besides "this way to the ball!" He opened his mouth to respond, but the pair were much faster than him in conversation."What is that on your face?"Was her next verbal attack, as she dropped the arm of the boy next to her. She removed her mask- and Charlie could only vaguely recognise her to be a Gryffindor. Fourth year, he presumed, as she was not from his class- but too old to be a second year."It looks familiar... who are you?"She then added. He could only barely put a name to an identity, staying rather eeriely quiet and he looked to the "Blondie" next to her, who had been staring at his mask with a rather... we he could discern an exact "look.""I'm Ami, and blondie over there's Scott."
Was the rather loquatious response he recieved from the other, whom he only could assume had been dragged along, given the stamp of his foot and far less interested demeanour."I- yes."He gestured to his outfit, which made Charlie flush in embarassment."-Alexander. -And I sincerely hope you realise that my friend's.... avid attention is something to be received as a compliment. Even though it might not always feel like it. She doesn't spend too much time with things she doesn't find impressive, and I hope we can both agree that this,"He stayed quiet for a moment, before shaking his head. "I know... of you. Both of you I mean." He began, his thick Texan accent muffled under the large mask. "Scott Alexander and... Ami Pro...ccopio I believe. 4th years." He took Scott's extended hand in a firm, and elegant shake. "Surely, we've passed eachother in the halls, but I don't believe I've ever had the pleasure of meeting either of you." As quickly as they had appeared, he put on his usual mask- not the one weighing on his shoulders and head, nor his heart, but the mask of southern charm he was so used to applying."-most certainly is. ...Would I be out and about in saying I recognise you? These masks do make it difficult but I should swear I do."
He released his grip on Scott's hand, and allowed his own gloved hands to reach to the sides of his mask, slowly removing it to reveal his curly blonde hair, and his quizzical, but aimiable green eyes. Not to mention the large scar across his face, which started at the back of his jaw and made its way across the bridge of his nose, cutting through his left eyebrow. He had tried to cover it with a light layer of foundation his mother bought for him upon seeing the scar, but he gave up after realising it was a masquerade.
"My name is Charles Atticus Woodward, a pleasure, Miss Proccopio, Sir Alexander." He said smoothly. He hardly introduced himself as Charles, but as he was getting older.. the name seemed to fit more and more. "I suppose your interest was in my mask." He raised it in his hands, looking down at it. "It is Hallow's Season, although I apologise if it was a bit... much." He chuckled slightly, light and amused from his stained lips. "It's a mask I made myself... rather reminiscient of a Wendigo. I'm from America, you see, so I thought it might be more interesting to... go with something more appropriate to my personal soil." He placed the mask between his arm and his side. "My apologies if she dragged you back simply on the whim in insterest." He looked to Scott. "Truthfully, I fear I might have... interrupted you both. I came here alone, and I doubt I'll be staying long." He had assumed, simply by the fact that the two rather visually appealing members of the school were there on a date, due to their arms being linked, their familiarity, the matching of their outfits. "Did you perhaps think I was someone else?"
I bid you adieu, until we meet again of course!

Action: Leaving the Ball to join The HuntMelissa instantly regretted saying what she had said when Marshal started to worry. Dang it- I knew I shouldn't have asked him... "I- Yeah I'm fine it's just that..." she stopped as she realized that there were people everywhere around them. She followed Marshal as he gently held her arm and maneuvered around the crowds of people. She heard a few shouts from somewhere in the ballroom, which was definitely not a good sign. Wonder what that's about... she questioned.
When they stopped at a corner where no one was, anxiety started rising inside of her. She waited for him to finish talking and then she started to explain. "So um, nothing's wrong, of course. It um... Oh yeah, just to make this clear, it has absolutely nothing to do with you." For some reason, she just couldn't find the right words. Who knew it would be this hard? "You know what, I'll just straight up say it...I don't rea-" The loud and sudden sound of breaking glass made her jump a little. Everything went dark and then lit up again. "What the-" she began. Then, Mel saw a transparent white figure on a horse. Behind it, the window it had come through wasn't broken anymore. What? How?... Wait a second, of course! It's a ghost which means that the window didn't actually break! She quickly ran to where the ghost was to have a better view of what was happening. In a booming voice, it said,
“Time is running out!
Something terrible is creeping about this castle, and if no one stops it, tragedy cannot be avoided.
If no one steps up to face this challenge, we are all doomed.
Follow the graceful apparition to find the riddle’s first piece - and if you need my help, call my full name.”
The ginger's face slightly went pale as she listened. Hogwarts was supposed to be safe, not have terrible things lurk in every corner... She ran back to where Marshal was, and then said, "So um...I'm gonna go find out what's happening and follow the ghost-" Melissa spun around as she heard a boy yelling at Marshal asking if he wanted to join him. "See you later I guess..." she told Marshal as she headed towards the transparent cat which the ghost had told them to follow. There were other students following as well, which made her feel safer since she wouldn't be alone.Stats: Stamina: 5 | Evasion: 6 | Strength: 6 | Wisdom: 6 | Arcane Power: 5 | Accuracy: 7

Mentioning @Autumn IvyEverything was fun…well, yeah, mostly.
When Mars asked if one of them over there was her date, Lindsey grinned. “Good eye,” she remarked. “You got it right!” She was a bit amazed that someone could guess her date within such quick moments, but maybe that’s due to her gaze towards the two — she believed Mars was one of the duellists, if she hadn’t mistaken?
Though she soon found herself in the mass wave of being presented to Wyatt by the lovely Mars and Cash. That would be nice, though…she didn’t particularly want the Autumn Ivy to know who her date was. She was not a friend, really, and a re-meeting would be embarrassing — especially when she was asked by Leonard, and she refused. Too — too bad. She had already started panicking.
“Maybe — maybe I’d just get to him later…” she muttered. Don’t be an idiot, Springhall. she told herself. But she couldn’t say yes. Being sent to her date meant that she would have to face Ivy. Such a pleasure.
She wasn’t sure whether her two companions had heard. But even if they didn’t hear what she had said, they must had presumed something from her expressions. “Thanks for your kindness, guys —” again she started, this time louder. But — but no! Someone else was talking, much louder than herself — or than everyone.
“Time is running out!
Something terrible is creeping about this castle, and if no one stops it, tragedy cannot be avoided.
If no one steps up to face this challenge, we are all doomed.
Follow the graceful apparition to find the riddle’s first piece - and if you need my help, call my full name.”
What — what’s that? She couldn’t help looking at Mars and Cash. “What do you think that is? Or — rather, who’s that? Why’s he doing it?” she felt dumb asking so many dumb questions. Really, if they knew the answers, they wouldn’t be standing here now — and they would tell her about it.
Though there must be something about “time’s running out”. Who’s time’s running out? The students’? The ghosts’? And they would be doomed if no one’s up for it. Horrible. She couldn’t help glaring her companions. And she had to do something. It was a challenge — or even, a threat, maybe? She noticed a silver cat had slipped out the ballroom along with the ghost. Who’s cat was that? It seemed like a patronus somehow — but she just couldn’t remember which professor’s patronus was a cat.
Then she saw him. Wyatt Starkey, trying to leave the ball and follow the mystery. She saw him taking his mask off, and mouthing something to her — it seemed like the word “sorry”. Why should he say sorry? Because they hadn’t even danced and he had left to solve a riddle? That was nothing to her really, since she was a terrible dancer and didn’t particularly like dancing. But solving a riddle and threw herself into mysteries were always fun. She was meant to be a heroine, not just a useless pretty doll. And she had to be with him. To check, if he was safe and fight with him together if combating was needed.
“Are you — you going after it?” she asked Cash and Mars in a rather low voice. She secretly hoped at least one of them could say yes, though if neither of them decided to chase after the ghost and the cat, it would be fine as well. “I think — I think I’d be going. I want to find out what it really is. Though I know someone must be looking after here…but I just couldn’t resist myself from going there. It’s such a pleasure talking with you two.” She offered a small, apologetic smile. “So…see you later?”
Her hand reached her wand deep in her pocket. Taking it out, she took a deep breath. Still, she didn’t take her mask off, for she fancied that it would protect her somehow — at least it might protect her. Offering one last apologetic smile to Cash and Mars, she made her way out of the ballroom.
She ran forward, trying to catch up with Wyatt — and with other students that had already headed to investigate too. She soon caught her date in the corridors, and officially greeted the boy. “Wyatt! I…I’m coming as well.” with a nervous smile, her eyes looked down to the ground. But soon she looked up to him. “Evening.” she whispered, then ventured further to where the ghosts had disappeared.Action: exiting the ballroom to the hunt

♢♦ Costume ♦♢ Things were happening. Emanating from various parts of the ballroom were shouts of anger, indignation and alarm. It was truly an action-packed event, more than any of its kind that Marshal had attended before, especially considering that it was the first. And yet, none of that seemed to matter at the moment. In fact, he hardly even registered any of the happenings around them; his focus was on Melissa, and nothing else. Right then, she was his concern. Other things could wait.
Evidently, his attempt to brighten her mood was an utter failure, as no relief could be seen within her brown eyes. She assured him that everything was fine, yet he could sense otherwise. What was stopping her from telling him? What had gone so wrong?
The words "it has nothing to do with you" threw him a bit. Eyes narrowing in concern, he cocked his head slightly, listening desperately as she failed to finish the sentence. What was it about those words that made him entirely certain that it did, indeed, have everything to do with him?
Melissa fumbled with the wording of what she intended to tell him, though he felt he already knew what it was. A large part of him wanted to stop her, and save them both a bit of pain. But something made him hesitate; a small hope holding out within him, that perhaps it was something simple, like an issue with her wardrobe, one that could be easily fixed by a quick trip to the restroom.
After a few moments, Melissa appeared to steel herself, Marshal clinging to every word she said. But he was not to discover the true reason behind her discomfort, for she was interrupted by the splitting sound of shattered glass. It was enough to finally make him tear his gaze from Melissa, his hazel eyes searching for the source of the deafening sound.
There, towering above cowering students, was a man on a horse. No, not an ordinary man; the figure was a ghost, though not one that the Gryffindor recognized.
A warning was shouted, easily heard throughout the room. The urgency behind the words cast an ominous wave across the silenced crowd, and for a moment, it seemed they were all at a loss of what to do.
Something terrible creeping about the castle? Tragedy? What could it be? Thinking back to what Leonard had told him about the last school dance, Marshal wondered whether this sort of thing was a regular occurrence around here. To be honest, he wasn't quite sure if he should be surprised. After everything that had happened in his very recent history, there wasn't a lot that came as a large shock to him at this point.
A sudden, possibly irresponsible thought passed through his mind. Maybe this could be his opportunity to see some sort of magical creature. Now that he thought about it, this could be a dream come true! Save for the part about tragedy, of course; that was rarely part of his plentiful daydreams. But with all the magically-inclined folks in the area, he felt confident that they could sniff out this horrible creature, take a picture with it, then get rid of it safely, no harm done. A flawless plan, in Marshal's book.
The ghost had disappeared, leaving a particularly unshattered window in his wake, and the noise of the crowd had redoubled, though in a noticeably more anxious fashion. A single voice made itself known above all else, however, shouting his name. He immediately knew who was addressing him, as he would recognize that panic-stricken voice anywhere.
He turned to see Leo sprinting toward him, moving faster than Marshal had ever expected to see, barring an actual dragon encounter.
Coming to a stop, Leo sputtered through a great many words, his sheer haste giving Marshal no chance to reply, which was quite a rarity. The Gryffindor could sense his friend's fear, which upset him more effectively than the ghost's news.
"I-" Marshal started, but was cut off by Leo, who seemingly had no plans to stop complimenting him on how much of a genius he was. The Slytherin's words brought his attention back to Melissa, however, and he realized that she was speaking to him as well. Apparently she wanted to join in on the search for this terrible creature as well.
"Are you-" he began, then stopped when he caught Leo's departing words. Turning his head once more, he was greeted by the sight of Leonard's back. "Leo, wait a minute!" he called incredulously, but to no avail. Then, before he knew it, Melissa hurried away with nothing more than a lackluster goodbye. "Melissa, I just-" and she was gone.
Standing in the corner, officially left alone before he even knew what had happened, Marshal raised both hands to the air in disbelief. That entire time, his efforts to finish a single intelligible sentence had been brutally thwarted. This must be how his mother felt when his father decided to tell a particularly wordy joke.
Leonard had mentioned the fact that this could be an adventure. Under normal circumstances, the first-year would be more excited than he had any right to be when faced with looming disaster, but not now. In that moment, all he could think of was Melissa, his mind fruitlessly sorting through possibilities of what had gone wrong, why he hadn't been good enough.
He merely stood there for a few minutes, as if paralyzed, hazel eyes hollowed out in confusion, gazing at the same spot but not truly seeing anything.
Unfortunately, he would find no answers that way, and he knew it. So he squeezed one hand into a fist, his gaze drifting down to settle upon it. He squeezed harder, his resolve growing until he came to a decision. He would do everything he could to help rid the castle of whatever lurked within. If he had anything to say about it, nobody was going to lose a friend, a sibling, or a child. Besides, Leo was clearly in no condition to stay calm on his own. He needed a friend, and Marshal was nothing if not that. Besides, maybe he could see a cool monster along the way after all, and that prospect appealed to him greatly.
With all of that in mind, he unclenched his fist and ran for the door.

The Fall Ball (Masquerade)
Starlee had spent quite a lot of time now contemplating and debating her thoughts whilst her head was down on the table. Today had certainly not gone how she had hoped it would. She wanted to be out on the dance floor, spinning around with Tina; laughing and giggling and gossiping about how they could get back at Elizabeth. But Liz had the upper hand, as per usual. Both of them were separated, and of course, it was the masquerade Starlee had chosen to head to first. Right into Elizabeth’s hands. On the bright side, there was that stunning boy, but… who was he? Why would he hang around Elizabeth, of all people? She shook her head back and forth as she tried to sort out all her feelings.
This wasn’t the only thing on her mind either…. She had made the Dueling Team, even though she was really only a stand-in, and their Captain had warned them about past years' balls. She felt that this had to be fake, just some Halloween prank. I mean, what kind of school would allow for all that insanity during a school-sanctioned event? Starlee had noticed the various teachers walking around the ballroom and this put her at more ease. Plus… she only knew what… four spells? How helpful could she really be if a fight were to break out? She could certainly set everything on fire... but that probably wasn't the best course of action. However, it was her adventurous side and curiosity that led her to continue to remain at the ball, even with knowing the risk, hoping to see just what the heck would happen this time. Starlee was also just determined to have a good time.
Starlee’s thoughts were interrupted when she felt someone poke her shoulder. 'Ugh... just leave me alone..." she mumbled, but the pokes continued, so she figured whoever it was probably hadn’t have heard her. While she hadn’t been crying, per se, she was certainly undergoing a state of turmoil and confusion, and it could clearly be seen on her face as she lifted it. However, she was a bit shocked when she saw Tina standing in front of her, not Liz, who she was expecting.
Her shock turned into a smidge of a smile, hoping Tina was there to apologize to her. Then they could go back to enjoying themselves, maybe even going back to the costume party to carve some pumpkins or eat some strange candies. However, upon seeing Tina’s face with that same determination she had seen in the Potato Sack race, Starlee realized that was certainly not what Tina was here for. "Hi Starlee. How'd your night going?” Before Starlee could get a chance to respond, Tina rushed on. "I got bored of the Costume Party and decided to check out the mask-thingie instead. Pretty nice isn't it? Anyway, this is my date! We decided to go together just before the ball. His name is..." Starlee peered over Tina’s shoulder to see a boy clad in the most costume-like outfit she had seen yet. She couldn’t help but admire the dedication and work it must have taken to put all it together, as well as the amount of time it would have taken to apply that scale effect to his face.
She thought back to her own makeup; raggedy, uneven, and basic, that's what it was. She wondered if there was some spell to make makeup application quicker… that had to be what this boy had done, surely. Even in her sparkly little dress, she was beginning to feel underwhelming compared to everyone else there.
However, it was now that something clicked. Starlee was beginning to catch on to this little charade, especially after the bit of a pause as Tina desperately looked back to the boy for help. Starlee wasn’t going to let Tina ruin her night even more than she had already. No siree.
Before the other boy could interject, Starlee decided to stand her ground. "Nice to meet you… fish-man…" she said very coolly. "I have also been having a great night, you see," Starlee began, choosing to ignore the fact that Tina had pressed on before Starlee had a chance to answer. Plus, this new information gave her the upper hand. "I also met a boy… he’s off chatting with some of his friends." she said coyly, hoping not to give away too much information as well… like the fact she literally knew nothing about the cute boy, like… uh… his name (the exact same situation Tina was in)… or really who he even was aside from being someone who kinda hung out around Elizabeth? Well, that certainly wasn’t something she would say to Tina. This was just a tactic to annoy her the best she could.
As Tina had done, she continued pressing on, hoping to change the subject a little to avoid further questioning. "It is quite the party though, right? I mean, everyone’s masquerade outfits here are stunning! Well… some aren’t quite as good…" she said, looking the two up and down. Another feeling of instant regret from saying that came from Starlee. She really wasn’t this cold or mean, why was she doing this? Really, this was the only situation she felt she had control over, and she wasn't going to let it go.
It was at that moment that a ghostly horse crashed through the room, and Starlee covered her head, wondering what in the world was going on. It yelled out a little riddle, part of which caught Starlee's attention. "Something terrible is creeping about this castle..." Maybe their Dueling Captain was right.... She then realized the glass was fake and watched as a crowd of people left the ballroom, joining the rider. Starlee had different priorities right now, and they involved Martyna. She tried to compose herself the best she could, and looked back at the other girl and her date.

This night was beginning just how Florian had hoped. Rosa looked stunning and he felt like a Pirate Prince with her on his arm. Verena had followed them both in rather graciously, leaving Florian and Rosa space to make their grand entrance. He was certainly appreciative, and though he would have liked to have them both on his arms, he was sure Rosa would never have agreed to such a thing, so there was no reason to bring it up at all.
His royal-like attitude changed a bit when he locked eyes with Emilie, who appeared to be gawking at Rosa. ’Hmpf. That little boy needs to learn his place, gawking at another lady like that. Disgraceful.’ His eyes narrowed in annoyance and Emile quickly turned away. That boy would definitely get what was coming to him later.
While Florian had been the one to offer Rosa a drink, she suggested they have Verena or Emile fetch it. After that little stunt Emile pulled, he wanted nothing to do with him… yet. However, he didn’t want Verena to leave, but she dutifully did as she was told to by Rosa, asking if they wanted anything else. "No, just a drink will be fine for me Verena. Wouldn't want to dance on a full stomach." He watched as she walked away, knowing full well there wouldn't be any Champagne here. England was not like France, that was clear.
He sat next to Rosa, observing the dancing crowd. A certain someone caught his eye, a lovely blonde girl in a rosy flowery pink dress, dancing with another boy. He felt like he recognized her, so she was probably another Beauxbaton. 'How lovely... I must seek her out later.' he thought to himself. He also took the time to observe the decorations as well, noting how hand-made everything seemed. The music had also become a little too macabre for Florian's taste, and he wondered why they would play something so... strange to dance to. ”Hmm… I would have figured the ballroom would have been decorated more lavishly, no? And what is this music? Oui, it's Halloween, but so dark? How can we dance to this... this nonsense?” he said, making some small talk with Rosa as they waited for Verena to return, watching the ghostly cat bat around some of the decorations that had fallen to the floor. However, it was taking a bit longer than he would have expected… was she attempting to make the drinks herself? Or conjure them or something? He had to admit, she showed some real dedication to the pair and this was why they kept her around, aside from Florian secretly thinking she was quite lovely as well.
He stood up after a few more moments had passed and said, "I think I shall see if Verena is having trouble with the drinks. I'll be right back."
It was at this moment that the ghost came crashing through the window, and what appeared to be shards of glass flying everywhere. He covered his head and quickly realized it was nothing but ghostly glass, as a ghost on horseback yelled throughout the ballroom. 'What kind of ball is this!?!' he thought, and continued on to try to find Verena, pushing through the crowd of people leaving the ballroom for this so-called hunt.

It seems the Raven had some quite an observant eye. While the Serpent miss a minuscule about the surrounding, Mars look at a boy and a girl seems like talking in a distance. And one of them is Lindsey's date. Then the Hufflepuff indeed correct it that one of them is her date. Cash took one last glance at the entrance.
At this point Cash knew the term of being 'stood up' means from one of their muggle friend. They sighed and really this is why they prefer be around adults then their own peers. At least the adults acknowledge them and let them do whatever Cash want. With how loud from people chattering here and there, Cash could barely heard what Lindsey said.
But they sure do hear Lindsey say something. Lindsey then said her gratitude about the previous action that Cash and Mars wanted to do for the blonde Badger. Then a sound of window crashed and shattered can be heard from all over the corner of the Ballroom.
“Time is running out!
Something terrible is creeping about this castle, and if no one stops it,
tragedy cannot be avoided. If no one steps up to face this challenge, we are all doomed.
Follow the graceful apparition to find the riddle’s first piece - and if you need my help, call my full name.”
Cash know at this point something bound to happened. This is Hogwarts. Being safe while there a Ball going on (whether it is official or not) or any other event is a rare occurrence in the its school book. Then Lindsey asked to both of the green eyes and Mars. “What do you think that is? Or — rather, who’s that? Why’s he doing it?”.
The purple hair looked at the Ghost that galloping around with his horse around the Ballroom. "No tengo ni idea"Cash said in their mother language. Then they remember none of their companions know any Spanish. "I have no clue"The beater answered Lindsey questions. At the word of 'terrible' and 'doomed' Cash know a tragedy about to strike.
The green eyes still observing the Knight ghost as they dubbed it until Lindsey voice enter their ears. “Are you — you going after it?”The blonde inquired both the Serpent and the raven. "I think I am"Cash stated. "I mean there's nothing excited here,"The beater did not know there's a brawl going on at the moment.
"Might as well see what the fussed it all about"They added. "You coming with us, Mars?"The second year asked their friend. Whether Mars will join the green eyes or not, Cash definitely will follow where Lindsey went. "Yeah, see you later"Cash replied back. When they about to walked out from the Ballroom, their eyes caught the sight of Starlee.
And it seems she was ganged up by a girl wearing Moon costume and the other one wearing some sort of fish costume. "-Well… some aren’t quite as good…"When Cash approached Starlee, the beater only hear the end of what Starlee said to the 'bullies'. "Everything alright, Star?"Cash said it with cold, hard tone.
Their voice saying 'do not try to mess with me or her'. Cash looking the two up and down. The moon girl and the fish dude. The Serpent let out a demeaning laugh with how absurd the two wearing whatever costume the others wore. "Look,"Cash focused their green eyes at Starlee. "Whatever going on with you and the girl that wearing green dress"Cash paused briefly.
From the color of the dress, Cash know the student belong to their house. "Do not let whatever she said or them (Cash point the Moon girl and the fish dude with a jerk of their head) to you, bring you down. You are a Slytherin, Star. Carpe Diem. Seize the day or you know the boy"Cash smirked teasingly to Starlee.
"If you ever get bored in here, look for me out there. I want to know what that's all about"Cash then smile at Starlee and shoot a glare at Starlee's peculiar companions. "See you around"The green eyes told Starlee. They reached out their hand into the inside pocket of their green tux and pulled out their Phoenix feather core wand.
"Now, let's the fun begin"The purple hair tighten their grip on their wand and walked out towards the other location.

The Fall Ball (Masquerade)
first section, lana | second section, fyodor______________________________________interacting with Enzo Delcroix @Akari Kato .
Lana rolled her eyes at the comment of her dancing skills, choosing not to elborate on the topic. She tried reading his face, though the mask that was in place certainly made it difficult. She knew there was something.. weird about him. Intimidating, maybe? Now she was just being ridiculous. Scared of 12 year old, how stupid.
"That isn't fair to me, now is it?" She said teasingly, eyes drifting to the side of the ballroom. Now where has Jay wandered off to? She figured it didn't matter, they were probably enjoying themselves. At the moment, Lana seemed to be getting better at keeping up with her partner, making it easier to strike a conversation. She thought back to their first encounter, figuring she could have certainly been a bit nicer. At the time she was angry, and you know how angry teenage girls can be. Or perhaps you don't.. Regardless.
At the question of the feeling being reciprocal, she contemplated her answer. "I suppose it is. Though first impressions can always change, can't they?"

An idiot, really. He didn't even know the girl, god forbid calling a stranger a hot. He shook his head, visibally annoyed.
He turned back to the Hogwarts student on his right, her words not meaning much to him. Ah, yes, just go up and ask for a dance- as his charm would certainly let him do such a thing. Actually- now that he thought about it, he was pretty charming. Fyodor glanced back to Logan, his eyes softening a bit as he thanked her. He'd probably see her again tonight, but for the moment he had a girl to catch.
As he neared the French girl, he tapped her on the shoulder and gave a smile that appeared to be genuine. You look amazing, miss."
