The clock continued to tick and with each passing moment the participants would have less time to find treats. Bridget hoped this wasn't stressing them, though; this hunt was supposed to be fun, and even if they had no luck whatsoever in finding treats, they were probably in luck if the candy distributed at the end of the last scavenger hunt was any indication. The only notable change would be the fact Aurelia Roberts had to leave, perhaps having some other commitment she needed to get to. Maybe she'd forgotten her homework or something, or maybe she was just getting bored. Regardless, there were only four participants left.
Sector A2:
The last time Miranda had searched the bookshelves, she'd had the luck to come across candy. The Ravenclaw decided to check the bookshelves again; there were still plenty of places for things to be hidden, so perhaps she'd hit the jackpot once more. The girl would indeed find something, although nothing so immediately fortuitous as another treat. Instead, she would discover a slip of paper wedged between the books. Upon pulling it out and unfolding it, it would read "check the gourds". Was it a trick? No one had had any luck so far in the pumpkin pile. Only time would tell if she'd found a useful clue or if following it would be a waste of her time.
Sector B3:
Despite tripping over the rug, Robert didn't give up. In fact, his vantage point from the floor might have even helped him. The Ravenclaw's lack of luck in finding treats would finally change and he would spot a piece of candy hidden in the rug's tassel.
Sector C2:
Henry's light was still shining, but it wouldn't last forever. The Slytherin would take advantage of his spell once more and further prove his disposition for magical solutions. It was only logical; the trunk was locked, so he needed to unlock it, and his first year had taught him a spell that did just that. However, as he went to cast, something would be... off. The Slytherin boy would have an epiphany, a sudden realization about himself. While his spell didn't even make it out of his wand, perhaps he had unlocked something more important. [Note: You can make the epiphany whatever you want it to be, significant or trivial. Lumos effects end in 2 rounds.]
Sector C4:
Heather was having a mixed bag of luck. She'd found one piece of candy so far, but it didn't look like finding things was really her strong suit. While the girl decided to check out the ghosts, she wouldn't notice anything; no tricks, no treats, no clues. Perhaps she was just looking in the wrong place.
Conclusion:
Bridget was a little surprised to see nothing come out of Henry's wand. The boy looked quite distracted, actually. He still hadn't found any candy, possibly because he'd paused to cast spells, though there was still time. Robert, recovering from his accidental fall, would finally locate his first treat, while Miranda and Heather, both of whom were doing decently so far, wouldn't find anything new.
Candy Count:
Miranda: 3
Henry: 0
Heather: 1
Robert: 1

Henry nodded to Robert as be spoke, when he finished Henry then spoke " maybe it's all three or-" Henry thought of one other thing but doubted it as he then laughed with the rest if his team " I pretty sure you two are more useful than me here but we'll see I guess," Henry then turned his attention to the trunk and held his wand up as he got ready to the cast unlocking spell, something stopped him. Something no more like a feeling or a someone, Henry started at his wand with the light shining from it as he looked back to trunk and begun to whisper " what if-"

Henry stood up and look around, is there something were missing or a bigger picture, a note that said help me? Maybe this is a part of a biggest or like a story or book waiting to be told? Opened? Maybe this isn't about candy or winning? Henry would look at his team, his friends; Robert and Heather, maybe this is about coming together or helping one another, maybe... maybe... ugh too many maybe what if I chose the wrong one or what if I miss a path? One situation can have so many outcomes, possibles how do I know I'm making the right one?

Henry looked around his wand was still lit, should he investigate a dark corner or open the chest? Henry looked for the chest to long table, his mind bubbling with pros and cons as he felt his anxiety rise. Keeping it hidden however he would ask his partners " did you guys find anything yet?"

Henry didn't felt like he was doing anything, he didn't feel like he was contributing or helping his team members. He felt like he was useless, as is he was holding them down or something. He looked and saw the the fellow dueler looking at them, watching them. Still he felt like he could leave, disappear almost and no one would notice. No one would mind or be affected, maybe he should?

Henry kept this to himself and hidden as he was struggling with what to do, maybe the chest or the long table. Which would be a better solution, Henry looked at the table and figured there could be a treat sitting on it and waiting for him it maybe even under it. Then he turned toward the chest and thought there could be something inside; trick or treat wasn't it worth a try?

Henry was ready to leave, it wasn't like he was much help to his team anyway. It wasn't like they were going to he affected by his disappearance but something, almost a voice or invisible force acted on him to stay and he stayed.

Henry wandered back to the chest as he took a deep breath and held his sand tightly in his hand he pointed it at the chest as he spoke " Alohomora," Henry awaited patiently yet focus on opening the chest and reveling what mysterious it held.

Miranda eyed the bookshelf up and down, trying to decide where else a treat could be hidden. There were quite a few places, which made the task frustrating especially since she was trying to hurry.

She started to pull down books in an attempt to catch sight of something. And she almost didn't spot it. At first Miranda thought the flash of white was a candy, but realized it wasn't as soon as she touched it. Someone who liked to read as much as she did would recognize paper no problem, and that was what the white scrap was.

Three words were scrawled onto its surface, and formed a simple sentence. Check the gourds. Miranda glanced over at the patch she'd already checked, apprehension obvious on her face. Was this note a trick, or a clue. She glanced at it again, then turned towards the pumpkin patch with a resigned expression. Hopefully things would work out.

Miranda moved closer, glancing around the room as she did. A flicker of surprise crossed her face as she noticed that they were missing one person..though she couldn't figure out who it had been. Henry and Heather were still here, and the other Ravenclaw boy. But she couldn't quite figure out who the missing person was. Well, it didn't matter too much. Surely whoever it was had their reasons.

Instead, Miranda turned her focus to the patch, determined to see if the note held any value.

Robert smiled in triumph as his searching finally paid off. Apparently, his earlier clumsiness had actually helped him, giving him a new vantage point and allowing the Ravenclaw to notice his first elusive piece of candy hidden in one of the rug's tassels. "Yeah, I just found a piece!" he responded to Henry's question, proudly displaying sweet treat in his hand. "How about you guys?"

However, Robert now ran into a problem. Since the start of the hunt, he'd been able to decide where to search next through logic, even if that logic was sometimes a bit stretched. Having found nothing even remotely resembling a clue, he was lost on where to go next. Looking around the room, he reassessed the clues he already had. A note saying "Help me", a bunch of book titles pointing towards the rug, and a weird face carved into a table leg.

He'd already searched the rug, and it was sort of hard to find another meaning to that clue, so he mentally discarded it. The "Help me" quote had already been discussed with Henry and Heather, and together they'd already gone through all the possible meanings for it, leaving the creepy face. He remembered his earliest thoughts about the face, and how it might be pointing to the wooden objects. However, he had immediately ruled out the long table and chest back then because they were still in the dark. Since this wasn't the case anymore, he decided to give them a try. Trusting Henry to find whatever could be found in the chest, Robert walked over to the long table next to it and began searching for more candy.

To her surprise, the ghosts had proved themselves to be quite... uninteresting. No secret messages, no hidden meanings. They were pretty much just some pieces of material, hanging from the ceiling. Shaking her head in disappointment, the blonde Ravenclaw turned around, looking over to Henry. He seemed... strangely not himself. Maybe it was only in her mind, but she knew the Slytherin boy quite well not to notice a slight difference in his aura.

"Uh, sadly no," she replied to his following question, looking down at her feet. She wanted to ask Henry about what he'd found this round, but maybe the hunt itself was the reason he felt so anxious. Suddenly, the boy's previous words played in her mind once more; Heather had brushed them off as a joke at first, but maybe they reflected what was he truly feeling?

"You know," The Ravenclaw whispered towards him, "I'm glad we teamed up- I'm having way more fun in this team, which we wouldn't even have had if it weren't for you, so you are pretty much the most important piece of our puzzle, Slytherin," the girl said the last part grinning, patting his shoulder before turning around to Robert. "Great job!" Heather laughed, resuming her joyful attitude and raising a hand to high-five her housemate. "Sadly I wasn't as lucky as you this round, but I hope it'll be better next time."

Letting the two boys return to their own business, Heather glanced at Miranda. She felt a bit guilty, since her friend was the only one not teamed up with anyone. Maybe she should ask her if she wanted to collaborate? In that case, it wouldn't be an individual hunt anymore, but the final prize didn't matter that much anyway. Though, she had to talk to Henry and Robert about this first- when they had a moment to spare, obviously.

Moving towards the small table next to the ghosts, the Ravenclaw assumed that, since she had luck there once, it could work in her favor again. Hopefully, Robert was right about the note referring to the trunk where Henry was currently searching- and she wasn't letting an important clue fly away.

The four remaining participants continued to work together, more or less. They seemed to be enjoying themselves, which was a good thing; the hunt was starting to near its end and Bridget hoped they all could look back on this day positively. Hopefully they would all manage to find a few treats in the meantime, too.
Sector A3:
With nothing else to go off of, Miranda deemed following the note worthwhile. The pumpkins so far had been completely useless for finding treats or even clues for that matter, but maybe that would change with another try. Or not. Perhaps Miranda just wasn't looking closely enough or perhaps there just wasn't anything to find because the Ravenclaw would come up empty-handed.
Sector C1:
Coming off of finding his first treat, Robert decided to use the light of Henry's Lumos while he still could and investigate the long table pushed up against the wall. It looked like maybe he was having a streak of good luck, because the boy would notice a piece of candy stashed between the table and the very corner of the room, bringing his candy count up to two.
Sector C2:
Henry, shaking off a moment of panic, decided to try again, or try at all, really. This time he wouldn't be interrupted by some sudden revelation and his spell went off without a hitch. Unfortunately for him, it looked like the locks had been enchanted and didn't do anything. He wasn't completely out of luck, though, as a shallow compartment in the top of the top would spring open, revealing his first piece of candy. [Note: Lumos effects end at the end of next round]
Sector C3:
Deciding the ghosts were a waste of time, Heather headed for the small table where she'd found her first piece of candy earlier. Instead of using her height advantage this time, though, she'd find something down below in the form of a ribbon tied around the table leg Robert hadn't investigated. When she untied the ribbon, she would see it had the words "check under the trunk" on it. The clues hadn't been consistently helpful throughout the hunt, so would she choose to trust this one?
Conclusion:
Finally, every participant had found a piece of candy. Bridget glanced at her clock, noting the fact time was starting to wind down. The participants could probably use a heads-up so they knew to use the rest of their time carefully. "Ten minutes left, everyone!"

Permission given by Heather Blair Moretti to godmode Heather telling Henry about the clue she found

Henry heard Robert say he found a piece and smile toward him as he spoke " that's brilliant Robert, that brings our candy count up to three now," he smiled at Heather and Robert before turning back to the chest and facing away from his two friends. As panic filled his face, luckily no one could see but he was really panicking now that they both found a piece or two and Henry still haven't. He had nothing, he found nothing, he wasn't contributing to his team, he was useless.

Henry gave a small gulp as he cast the unlocking charm on the chest and while it didn't open, a small compartment did and in it was a piece of candy. Henry did it! He found a piece of candy! Henry took the piece as he smiled widely at it, he couldn't believe his luck and well skill he actually found a piece. Henry felt a bit better now as he was now contributing to his team, Henry then decided to tell the others as he turned and smile at Robert as be spoke " even though you have two, I found a piece," he showed Robert his piece before walking over to Heather and wrapping his arm around her, dramatically showing the height difference between the two, before removing his arm and showing her the candy as he spoke " I found a piece, did you find any more Heather?"

However his friend's words wasn't about candy and actually about teaming up, was she saying that because she felt bad when she heard my words or does she generally mean that? Thoughts were floating through his head as Heather told him about the clue she found involving the paper saying to check under the chest. Henry looked at it and nodded as he spoke " yeah got it, I'll check under there just in case it's actually a trick," he gave his friend a smile but before retreating to the chest Henry walked over to Miranda as he spoke " hey, you know there are only four of here? And three of us are a team so what do say," Henry held his hand out to her before continuing " do you want to join our team?"

After inviting Miranda to their team, Henry would make his way back toward the chest as he pointed his wand at it and made the swish and flick movement while he spoke "Wingardium Leviosa."
