”Yes I agree! You two look absolutely wonderful.” Akari chimed in with Drew’s compliment to the pair.
”Pleasure to meet you Gregori” She piped up immediately after Drew gave them an official introduction.
She then returned a sweet smile to Elisabeth and took in how pretty she looked in her white and rose coloured outfit with an expression of delight. Akari thought that the colours really suited her perfectly. Then she turned her head slightly up to Drew and spoke up, adding on to what Elisabeth had said. ”Yes indeed, we do happen to know each other from before.”
Then right after she looked back in the direction of the Hufflepuff and said "It's really nice to see you again and I must say, your dress is beautiful”
”Hmm, I was thinking to stay here for a little while longer and then head over to see what’s happening at the masquerade ball.” Akari answered, her face lighting up at the mention of the fancy party that was going on next door after Elisabeth had asked what everyone wanted to do.
She wasn't sure what Jess was planning for the rest of the evening, but she and Drew had already decided that they were going to spend time at both of the events, and Akari was obviously very excited for the rest of the night.
At some point her attention was caught by some people who seemed to be having a series of somewhat worrying things happen to them all at once, but she didn’t get a chance to question the occurrences further as her gaze came upon the table that was filled with some mouth watering treats and drinks.
She looked back towards the group and then said “I think I fancy one of those butterbeers... would someone like to accompany me?".

The Fall Ball (Costume Party)
Reducio

Just as Valentin was running to assist Yefim, from Valentin's head silvery-white hair gushed out like a mystical waterfall. Niffler had not expected an epic mane of waist-length hair to suddenly grow out in front of his eyes, so his vision became immediately obscured. Were it not for this dramatic glamour curtain, probably the boy would have hit his intended target with the splash of butterbeer. Probably. Unfortunately things had gone terribly awry and instead Yefim ended up being the victim of Niffler’s butterbeer attack.
However well Yefim dealt with the cold sticky torrent, Valentin was mortified. Absolutely aghast with having miffed it yet again in front of Yefim, Valentin grew angry with himself and his golden snitch mask only partially concealed his look of enraged horror. Trying to find words for an apology and finding that they all fell far too short, Valentin’s mouth dropped open as if that would make better words come out.
Not only had he made a fool of himself in the hospital while trying to defend poor Yefim, Niffler had also critically let down Yefim during the quidditch match against Hufflepuff. The truth was, Valentin blamed himself for both Yefim and Mik quitting quidditch. If only Valentin had been better, the whole team would not have dissolved. If Valentin had just… practiced smarter they would have won. If only he had been more observant. Anything. Something… then he wouldn’t be losing his friends to other sports like this. For this reason, Valentin had been looking for any and every opportunity to try to win back some of Yefim’s and Mik’s esteem (as he saw it, anyway). Yet, it seemed that whenever Valentin tried to do something to try to impress his friends and win back some pride, he failed. This party was no different. All Valentin wanted was to rush to Yefim’s aid against the pumpkin gut harpies, but he just… spiralled out of control and made everything worse. This was not how it was supposed to go. Valentin wanted Yefim to like him. It wasn’t supposed to be like this.
[”Do me a favor and never become a Chaser, okkaaaayyy?”] said Yefim awfully sweetly. Yet, the Durmstrang boy’s words came like a shot to the heart and were it not for Valentin’s mask everyone would have seen his cheeks blushing a brilliant red from embarrassment. However, before the pale boy could dwell any further on his failure Yefim was already brightening up the room by launching a tickle siege that would send Niffler rolling on the (butterbeer- and gut-splashed floor) in tears. Valentin was dreadfully ticklish and this kind of attention was an embodiment of what he most craved. Somewhere in the fray, Valentin's mask came off and rolled under a table.
Despite his enthrallment with the moment, however, Valentin had trained rigorously for years to be observant even under the most distracting of circumstances. Hovering around them at the edge like a shadow was a masked man… hm, one of a particular build and… characteristically drumming his fingers like there was a piano on the side of his leg. Whenever he had seen this tell in the past, Valentin always wondered what it would be like if Mik played the piano. Furthermore, the rhythmic sound of the phantom’s feet over the floorboards… This was Mik alright, mask or no.
“M-Mik...” said Valentin guiltily. He knew right away. Valentin’s mind had already gone there: he had made yet another mistake. Shoving his hand into his pocket, Valentin found that he had rolled right on top of the pocketed 3 chocoballs during the tickle siege. Pulling his hand out, it was covered in chocolate goo [and tricky substances if the moderator wishes]. However, feeling his other pocket from the outside, it seemed the pumpkin pasty had been spared a gruesome fate.
[”MIK! MIK! YOU CAME!”] Yefim gasped, bouncing up and down next to their friend. Valentin stood up.
"Ой, он улетит ..." ("Oh, he's going to fly away…") said Valentin wistfully. Instinctively, Niffler jumped onto Yefim's back. "Давай летать!" ("Let's fly!") said Niffler, trying to stay upbeat for the sakes of both Mik and Yefim. Niffler was a featherlight by design and Yefim would have found very little obstacle in continuing to jump up and down with the other boy on his back.
Glad that Mik had managed to come despite his distaste for social gatherings, Niffler gave him a meek smile but could not find words for a good enough greeting. Perhaps this meant that Mik really cared for them. Then, with a smirk, Valentin thought of course he cared for them. He had come in spite of it all.
And yet, this party was bumping (in large part thanks to Yefim, according to Niffler) and events were already moving forward. This was yet another reason Niffler liked Yefim. They were both fast-paced energetic boys full of energy, and the other boy was already ready for his next act of mischief. [”Let’s tear this place apart,”] said Yefim, gathering a handful of pumpkin guts. It seemed that delivering the pumpkin pasty to Mik would have to wait. Niffler had found another opportunity to impress Yefim now, and with Mik here the stakes were double.
Scooping some pumpkin seeds into isolation from their surrounding orange goop, Valentin began scanning for a target for some high-accuracy trick shots. Immediately Niffler's gaze locked onto what may have been the shiniest, sparkliest object in the room. Who was this guy with the awesome shiny? Valentin grinned as he threw back an armful of flowing silver locks and made eye contact with Andrew Vance.
How epic is Valentin's hair? This epic.ReducioInteracting: @Andrew Vance @Flash Holmwood @Percival Rainwood

The Fall Ball (Costume Party)
That wholesome kind of chaos was bubbling up now. There were several more Wizard Crackers popping around the room, enveloping their lucky wixes with brief blue clouds of smoke. Norina Evans was now holding a little bat ring, with wings ready to wrap around her finger, its beady black eyes twinkling. This was the first of a few surprises. After all, the pumpkin pasty she had eaten was baked with Hair-Raising Potion, while the pumpkin juice used to wash it down contained a few drops of Pompion Potion. At first, her hair would gradually rise to stand on end. Yet soon that hair became a cluster of vines, protruding like leafy tendrils, and her head swelled with orange glory. Margo White, who had sipped a sample of Butterbeer, faced no such fate. It seemed her cup was safe. Jack Burnett's Cracker contained a hat, but not just any hat. It was an absurdly tall top hat, nearly two feet high, black with a soft felt band. Even Solomon Lear got in on the whimsy, cracking a Cracker and receiving a winged pumpkin ring. After fumbling the thing with all the innocent idleness all cute old people possess, he handed it off to a passing Durmstrang student, Valentin Schnell. Mere moments after, Valentin was up to trouble, climbing on the back of his schoolmate Yefim Rumyantsev, who was trying to rally the room into a food fight. He lobbed a wet handful of pumpkin guts at Bridget Collins, though the girl narrowly evaded it (ACC 14<26 EVA). Since the treats needed to be eaten for the effects to activate, the smashed sweets in Valentin's pocket were mushy, yet harmless. All the while there were still thirty chocolate frogs on the loose and hopping harmlessly around the room.Moderation Post
@Flash Holmwood (Yefim) | @Aida Mòrsgor-Ama Ellwood (Valentin) | @Bridget Collins | @Norina Evans | @Jack Burnett | @Margo White-This is a moderated event, please do not roll for yourself!
-Your character can pick up the Chocolate Frogs which Remi and Sylvain set loose![]()
-If your character tries a tricky treat, please note it as an action. I will be rolling to let you know how it effects them next mod post. The same goes for wizard crackers, which give gifts (one time- opening additional crackers will yield only candy).
-Tricky Treats contain small amounts of potion and will last for 3 moderation rounds (except Manegro) unless removed. You can move to the masquerade with these effects if you're into that sort of thing, or feel free to say "Pericles' third-year helper" (NPC) cast Reparifors on them (just tag me).
-The Ballroom Masquerade and the Rehearsal Room Costume Party (you are here) are on the fourth floor of Hogwarts, so going between the two doesn't take much time, but if leaving/arriving mention it as an action.
-The next post will take place on the 1st. Too fast? Owl me feedback!

'At the time I just thought it sounded like a good, neutral name....'@Quinn Smith | @Robert Toukmond | @Ruka Burnett-Tân | @Jo Morgan | @Jack Burnett
@Aida Mòrsgor-Ama Ellwood (Valentin) | @Flash Holmwood (Yefim) @Percival Rainwood (Mikhael)
There's a flash, another of those Ah-ha!s alighting odd eyes. It clicked that this was a chosen name, a neutral identity, and Pericles is saved the awkward trouble of navigating pronouns in the future. That glow dwindles once the topic turns towards the beardo by the snacks. It was a relief to see Solomon Lear wasn't irritated by the alteration, though he looked to be troubled in other ways. An amalgamation of common courtesy and sense prevented Pericles from approaching and peppering the Headmaster with questions or concerns, though there were many bubbling in his mind. No- he had promised to try and make this room as safe as possible for all participants, to create a haven from Hogwarts' reputation for chaos, and that included not distressing the old man during a public appearance. Quinn had posed the admirable idear of checking in on the elder, though Pericles decided it was better off if he and his churning thoughts tackled other troubles. "I think I'm needed elsewhere," he mused lightly, "but someone ought to. You would be doing me a favor by checking in on one of my 'guests'." The grin which follows is twofold: while clearly fluffing up the formality and importance of the event, there's a gleam of genuine gratitude. The conversation had been kind, and Robert's uncontrollable gigglefit was so excessive, it coaxed a quiet laugh from Peri, who tried to hide it behind the beak of his mask. He would have been glad to talk of dinosaurs while witnessing banana puns for the remainder of the ball. Instead, he would tuck the resulting warmth away, using this happy moment to bolster him for the rest of the night.
The compliment towards Ruka earned him a nudge from Jack. Focus formerly split between good company and new arrivals, the touch had him blinking in soft surprise, though his smile soon returned. Regrettably, the Tinker reference was lost on him. Peri enjoyed many takes on the tale of Peter Pan, but he had never seen the modern Pixie cartoons, nor had he read the related books. Still, he regarded this new information with the same passive, ever-present desire to understand the unfamiliar, a good-natured chuckle lining his voice as he admitted "I'm afraid not." Then Jack managed to turn off any innate desire for information which Pericles had started to extend his way. When asked if he had a date, the boy began to casually shake his head, only to halt upon realizing this was rhetoric. The greasy smirker said something about the Blossom Ball and claimed that witches were troublesome, pointing out Jo Morgan as his example. By now Pericles was listening with an impassable expression and fixed gaze. Poor Jo's lapse into laughter, followed by the near brush with catastrophe when she dared a drink immediately after, had been far funnier than Peri would have confessed out loud. That didn't mean she was troublesome by any stretch, nor were the other witches in his life. There were more troubling behaviors than that.
Pericles had only encountered Jack briefly, during an errand in January. He didn't know Jack was eavesdropping on him at the mother's day errand, nor that he had sent letters pretending to be Breana and himself. He hadn't known Jack was evidently eyeing him at the Blossom Ball, or Model UN errand, or who knew where else. Although Burnett had convinced himself that he "respected" Pericles, and entertained the idea that the Ravenclaw would be "out for his blood", the truth was that he only narrowly recalled the Slytherin's name. It had been so long since they actually (to his knowledge) interacted. While Burnett had made it his business to monitor Pericles' life, the duelist hardly knew who he was, let alone why he was so keen on nettling him like a thistle weed. What he did know was that he had insinuated the bird go find his own date. Perhaps Ruka was Jack's date, and he had offended him by complimenting the pixie? For someone he hadn't encountered more than once, that was the only reasonable explanation to be drawn. Unawares that he was speaking to something of a stalker, Pericles gradually donned his gentlest of smiles, saying soothingly, "I apologize if I made you feel threatened. I wanted to pay the costume a compliment, and my intentions were pure. Please enjoy the remainder of the Ball." With a contrite bob of his head, he departed, off to confront a pressing problem.
With blatant disregard for the stainability of his fine white costume, Pericles proceeded towards the food fight in the pumpkin patch. The boy was doing his very best to maintain a mature front, though with chocolate frogs underfoot, various persons cackling and babbling, and his carefully concealed giddiness over the event, it was a challenge. The Ravenclaw continued to hide a small smile beneath his beak, but the dam broke once he watched Valentin's attempted butterbeer attack interrupted when he was blinded by hair, soaking his Durmstrang friend. He had to press his lips into a hard line, breathing deeply and trying to summon up his best Prefect Presence. Was negotiation going to do any good at this stage? The chances were slim, and he knew it. Peri's peaceful intervention was unlikely to be perceived as anything besides a challenge, politeness misconstrued as an easy target for practice. Still, at least this way he could say he had tried, that his initial attempt at mediation had been peaceful. Hope for diplomacy, but bank on conflict.
A frog plopped against his white vest. Pericles paused with a low "Oh" hummed, then carefully scooped the animated chocolate from his chest, setting it tenderly on a table. Edible frogs were the kind of chaos he could get behind. Throwing projectiles at his peers was not. "Pluvia Velo." Intending to at least attempt saving himself from the same sticky fate Yefim faced, Pericles pulled his wand from its holster and summoned a translucent umbrella (WIS 25). He approached the Durmstrang trio with wand pointed upwards and opposite hand raised, a mute signal for parley. "I would hate to spoil your fun," he called clearly, silvery eyes moving between Yefim, Valentin, and their newly-arrived friend Mikhael, "but you would be better off not making a mess of our party. The house-elves of Hogwarts don't deserve the excess inconvenience. If you make one, you'll have to leave the Fall Ball function, though you'll be brought back later to clean in their place." The words were a warning, while the tone was a try at helpfulness; he was doing them a favor by aiming to talk them out of it. If there was to be a detention for Durmstrang, would he have to host it? Did Durmstrang have prefects...? Peri suspected he would find out before the night was over.

"Muchas gracias, I like yours as well," Elisabeth returned Akari's compliment on the dress both girls were wearing tonight. "It looks like Cinderella's gown for me - ah, sorry, I mean a fictional protagonist in a Muggle fairy tale." She did not really know Akari's background, so she was not sure if the Gryffindor had ever heard of Cinderella. Thus, the Hufflepuff decided to give a brief description of who that character was, minus her personal remark that Cinderella was a weak person of course. ("I mean, come on, you don't even try to give yourself a better future and just daydreams about being rescued by a crown prince!")
After that, Akari mentioned that she was going to hang around the Rehearsal Room a bit longer before switching to the Ballroom for tonight's masquerade. Elisabeth was slightly disappointed to be honest, for she did not really like things here. Sure it was meant to be a fun evening for everybody, but this room was too noisy for her. Music that was too metal-rock for her taste was bad enough, and there was chaos from the students who had been trying the Tricky Treats. Not to mention the Chocolate Frogs all around the floor, coming from goodness knows where.
She just wanted to dance at the masquerade; that was the sole reason she came to this event.
However, when Akari said that she fancied trying some butterbeers, Elisabeth offered to accompany her fellow first-year. "I don't drink, but I don't mind going with you to fetch some of them," she told the Gryffindor. And then, turning to Jess and the boys, "Would you three like some as well? Akari and I can get some for you if you'd like."

Dan's carving was impressive. Morrigan was absolutely terrifying! Though Andrew's celebratory awe was cut short by Jack Warren's appearance.
Perhaps if Dan's laughter hadn't stopped him first, the two might've made it out of the Rehearsal room before Andrew's second Tricky Treat could take effect. Despite Andrew's tugs and pulls, he couldn't drag Dan's weight anywhere, not with Dan doubled over in laughter; nor talk any sense out of him, since Dan began speaking gibberish as well. Then Andrew's final transformation happened, and now both boys were stuck - Andrew slightly disoriented with his new Pumpkin Head, while Dan couldn't even stand, having fallen over in a giggle fit and was rolling around on the ground, Andrew unable to do anything but laugh at Dan's misfortune watch helplessly from the sidelines.
"Whaaat?" Andrew asked Dan, raising his voice as if he were hard of hearing… and then realizing what Dan was being affected with.
Well, at least he didn't have to worry about his hair falling into his face anymore, thanks to [Jo Morgan] stepping in and clipping Andrew's new mane with her silver barrette. Despite [Jo's] generosity in letting him keep the barrette permanently (not like he planned on using it again - unless if he gave it to his sister?), Andrew had made a mental reminder to return the barrette to its owner (surely his Remembrall would poke him about it in the morning), before continuing on his way and trying to mingle in "normally" with the party (and continuing to laugh at with Dan's babbling). And hey - at least he wasn't the only Pumpkin Head in the room.
Heading over to the refreshments table for another cup of Butterbeer, distracted by his own giddiness and laughter (and a little off-balance under the weight of his Pumpkin Head) and jostled by the crowd in a room full of partygoers, Andrew's feet would slip out from under him - a projectile wad of wet pumpkin guts (courtesy of Yefim's rallying "food fight") clinging to one shoe as Andrew fell to the floor with a yelp, landing on his back. Fortunately no pumpkin shell was cracked, Andrew's right arm instinctively catching most of the fall as he turned on one side to save his tailbone. Still, there was a bonk as his larger-than-normal head bounced off the floor. Miraculously conscious (perhaps the "guts" inside his Pumpkin Head cushioned the blow?), Andrew would moan a little as he sat upright, feeling his hands around his head in preventative measure to check if he was "bleeding". As far as he could tell, his head was still whole.
His hands would then wipe themselves on his pants as Andrew carefully rose to his feet again, scraping his shoe and brushing off any debris that his cape might've collected… and then freezing up in a panic, staring at a brown smear across one of his palms. Inwardly freaking out that he might've sharted himself or something, a quick sniff and a taste test would prove otherwise, releasing a sigh of relief.
Unbeknownst to Andrew, he had just murdered a Chocolate Frog in the fall, his black Batman cape bearing the smudge of the creature's hip-hoppity existence before being crushed under Andrew's backside.

@Akari Kato, @Elisabeth Erner, @Jess Malters, @Rose Moon (as Andrew Lycan)
Gregorí said a short thank you to his best friend as Drew complimented that he looked sharp. He shook hands with Akari and Jess, the two students Drew was talking with when he and Elisabeth found them. "Well, it's nice meeting you two as well," he told them, trying to sound as friendly as possible. He hoped he did not look angry or scary tonight - well, it was not that he felt angry all the time of course, but some people had complained that it was how he looked like. ("Why are you so angry every time I see you?" complained a classmate from his Muggle primary school. And, "I think people do want to speak with you, but when they look at your face, they become scared and so they change their minds!" said a fellow Horned Serpent.)
Drew asked the three Hogwarts girls if they happened to know each other, and they began to explain things a little. Jess was good friends with Akari, but she and Elisabeth had never really interacted before. Meanwhile, Akari had met Elisabeth on their first day at the Scottish wizarding school.
During this introduction process, Elisabeth took off her mask so that everybody else could see her face clearly, and Gregorí decided to do the same. It did seem more polite to do so.
After that, she asked the other four about what they actually planned to do for the rest of the event. Gregorí just shrugged. To be honest, he just came because Drew had urged him to do so, as well as promised that he would not leave Greg alone with people he did not know. (Well, that's what friends are for, right?) "No plans yet," the Mexican admitted.
Gregorí turned his head to scan the room and unconsciously, he frowned disapprovingly. The Tricky Treats had made some students laughing uncontrollably. He did not really mind that, or the blue smokes from the Wizard Crackers, but he could not help consider the kids who tried to food-fight terribly childish (and ungrateful that they had food to eat). He also felt annoyed with the stupid kids who had let loose Chocolate Frogs on purpose. He really did not want to step on any of those, or having some on his clothes.
"I think I fancy one of those butterbeers." Akari's voice snapped Gregorí's attention back to the four students in front of him. When she asked if someone would mind accompanying her, Elisabeth volunteered to do so. ("I don't drink, though," she added.) The Belizean girl also offered to bring some for Jess, Drew, and himself if they would like a glass each; and at that moment, Gregorí somehow just knew that she was a very kind person.
"Why don't I help you carrying those drinks for Drew and Jess?" he offered his help in Spanish, although perhaps unfairly because it was more directed to Elisabeth than Akari despite both girls were going to do so (he assumed so, at least). "Besides, I don't drink either."
The Horned Serpent walked with the two Hogwarts students to the snack bar, carefully trying to avoid the Chocolate Frogs on the floors. Just then, he remembered that Elisabeth had once told him that she liked dancing. She must enjoy it if he asked her for a dance. "Hey," he called her in Spanish, "would you like to go to the ballroom to dance after we give the others their drinks? I'll ask Drew if he wants to come along; but if he prefers to stay here, we can just go and meet him again later."
It was the first time he considered doing something without being depended on his closest friend's company. The Mexican boy felt slightly nervous, but he liked Elisabeth and thus wanted her to enjoy the evening. He was very sure she would enjoy a dance at the ballroom much more than this chaotic rehearsal room filled with rock music... and Chocolate Frogs. He could see clearly that she did not feel comfortable here - and, just like him, trying to avoid the Frogs at all costs.

The Fall Ball (Costume Party)
Fully expecting an affirmative answer, Jess frowned slightly at Drew's statement that he and Akari, were, in fact, just friends. Akari seemed a bit put off by it, too, and the Hufflepuff made a mental note to ask her friend about it later. She knew she had been prepared just moments ago to threaten Drew, but she hadn't really been expecting for him to hurt Akari this early on. At his next words, though, she forced the thought out of her mind and put on a smile. "Yeah, I'm meant to be an angel. And thanks, you look nice too."Interacting with: @Akari Kato, Andrew Lycan (@Rose Moon), @Elisabeth Erner, and Gregorí Erkens (@Ginevra Tsuchiya)

For a moment, Jess wondered if Akari would mistake that as flirting rather than just the politeness it was meant to be, but that thought was pushed out of her mind as Akari waved at another couple standing near the doors. Looking at them closely, Jess realized that she knew the girl from the ball prep event hosted by Katrina earlier that day and smiled at her. Wait- wasn't that the girl who had fallen into the lake during the boat ride to Hogwarts on the first day? Jess was pretty sure that it was, though she couldn't remember exactly what the girl's name was. She didn't recognize the boy at all, either.
She smiled at the two of them as they came near, mentally exclaiming as Drew introduced them. So the girl's name was Elisabeth, then... too caught up in trying to remember whether she had heard that name before or not, Jess neglected to catch the name of the girl's date for the evening. Oops. She went back to listening as Drew asked them if they knew each other, though, and waited until Elisabeth had responded to say, "Yeah, I've seen you around... sorry for not talking to you before, though. It's nice to finally meet you. And you, too," she said, turning to Elisabeth's date. She watched the girl take her mask off and was glad to be able to talk to a real face, but in the back of her head she wondered to herself why she herself hadn't brought a mask. Well, she knew it was to discourage her from going to the masquerade, but still. She might want to pop in eventually, and then what would she do?
This worry was only amplified when Akari announced her plans to go to the masquerade ball soon, but that thought was quickly driven out of mind when quite suddenly, she saw some of the kids standing around the room suddenly sprout glamorous locks or begin laughing uncontrollably. And... was that a pumpkin head? Positively gaping with astonishment, Jess completely forgot about masks or really any of the conversation that was continuing between her little group and simply stood staring at the transformations instead. The fact that some students seemed to have started a pumpkin-based food fight didn't exactly help her concentration, either. Akari's question brought her back to the present though, and Jess grinned.
She had been thinking about grabbing something to eat before anyways, so now she could go ahead and do that without having to be the one to ask or awkwardly leave the group to go get food alone. The sudden thought that all the weird stuff that was happening to the kids around her could be caused by the food gave her pause, but she grinned again as she realized she actually kind of hoped it was. It was a Halloween, party, after all, and everyone knew that Halloween was meant to come with both tricks and treats. It stood to reason that trading the safety of her currently non-spell affected body would be a fair tradeoff for what she was sure would be some of the best snacks she had ever had, and she wasn't exactly opposed to the idea of getting affected by a potion like this, either. Plus, she could see a girl demanding that the spell be taken off her and watched as her request was met, meaning that the tricks didn't have to last if she didn't want them to. And- had Akari said butterbeer?
"Yeah, I'll come along!" she said cheerily. "I've been meaning to try Butterbeer for a while now and those chocolate things look good. So... you don't need to get me anything Elisabeth, I've got it!"
She was slightly annoyed that Elisabeth and her date had decided to tag along as well, though she didn't show it. She had meant to talk to Akari alone during this short trip, but now... actually, Elisabeth and her date seemed pretty busy anyways, talking to each other in Spanish, so she doubted they would hear her even if she did talk to Akari in front of them. "So," she whispered, leaning in close to her friend. "Are you and Drew really just friends? What was that about?"
As she waited for Akari's reply, Jess reached over to the table and took a bite out of a chocoball. It had an interesting flavor, she reckoned, both better than but also slightly different from what she had been expecting. She picked up a glass of butterbeer, too, stared at it suspiciously but with excitement in her eyes, and took a sip.

The Fall Ball (Costume Party)
10.16.20 → ic date♡ interacting with amadea [@Amadea Campbell]♡
♡ mentioning delilah [@Delilah Stewart] & annie [@Annie Morgan] ♡frosty's outfit/costume!ReducioAfter being a student at Hogwarts for a while, Frost had learned that the events held, especially ones of such a massive size, did not end well. Though the girl had planned to attend for a bit of fun and lighthearted-ness, she had known better. Frost had known to come prepared for virtually anything, especially prepared for not very nice things to happen.
To be honest, the main reason, second to having fun, she was attending was so that she could help anyone and make sure they weren't harmed should something unfortunate happen. But now she was running quite a bit late. Unusual for her, unless the cause was that she was helping someone with something, which happened more often than one would think. Her fellow prefect, Annie Morgan, would now have an elegant hairstyle for the ball though. Frost's tiny hands and nimble fingers were good for something after all. An excited Frost dressed as some sort of fairy walked into the Rehearsal room a few moments after Amadea.
Tapping on her shoulder in a gentle manner, Frost would give Amadea a warm smile. "Sorry, were you waiting for long? I offered to do Annie's hair, but ended up running late." The other girl was someone with who she had been meaning to spend more time. Though they were in the same house and year, the two weren't as close as Frost had wanted them to be. It was a sad fact, as Frost thought Amadea was an amazing girl and it was easy for anyone to see how bright she was. Even for Frost, who was not particularly bright and had only interacted with Amadea a handful amount of times. After taking a good look at Amadea's costume, the girl gasped in awe. "Oh, wow! You look so good, I love your costume." It looked as though it took lots of effort as well as being a creative idea.
"Is Delilah here yet?" Ah, another girl in her same year that she hadn't really bonded with. Del had been someone she had seen around multiple times, but not really interacted with, sadly. Something about Delilah made her feel as though she could relate with her a lot. From only being a passerby, Del seemed as though she was genuine and a down to earth type of girl. It was her interest in starting a friendship between them that moved Frost to ask if she wanted to go to the Halloween party with herself and Amadea. The fourth years, or what was left of them, had to stay together, after all.✿

The Fall Ball (Costume Party)
Jo looked at Riley. She saw her looking a bit nervous and remembered how nervous she (Jo) Truly was. The last time she was at a ball it ended badly, not only because she could have said that she didn't meet up with her friend, but she doesn't remember 4 months of her life which is pretty damming to anyone who has a schedule for themselves.
Jo started shaking a bit, the only reason she wasn't full on shaking was how tense she was."There's a lot to do, how about you pick?"Jo asked Riley trying to comfort Her, she seemed more nervous than before. It wasn't most likely a good idea to put more pressure on her.
The feeling of Halloween was rising as more and more people arrived, diversifying of what Jo could see were large Blobs of colours moving and talking. She loved Halloween for its colour and main culture, the culture of being somebody else for a few hours and being with friends and getting candy. Jo never went trick or treating mainly because her family couldn't afford a costume and because they didn't very much celebrate Halloween because of Her mom and her own traditions that all the family cherished.
She gave a shaken smile to Riley, Jo liked 3 main things about the world. That being Colours, Books, and good friends such as Riley. She liked hanging out with Riley.
Jo Silently left the costume part, disappearing into the crowd and out of the doors.
Action: leaving Costume party to join the hunt.Interactions : @Riley Arcite
