The ballroom was a long way from the library, just then realizing how much she'd have to climb- the price paid from having gone to two locations on the ground floor. That being said, the ballroom was pretty easy to find once close as one got near enough to see the spooky hallway decorations, the fog and candle glow helping with the ominous feel of such a place. A small shiver would go through the girl, but a small smile would find itself as Lea noticed that she fit rather well with this hallway. It made sense to have both bats and spiders in a spooky Halloween area, after all.

The girl was quick to walk through the corridor, preferring to not stay too long in such a place. Perhaps she could use the excuse of it being a hallway for why the hufflepuff was quick to enter. Rather than a cave- the idea she was sort of expecting- Lea would find a forest. It seemed rather dark, smoke curling up her ankles as she walked before dissipating to create new peaks and curls of fog. The first year would glance between the offered gift bags, the choice becoming significantly easier once she saw the bat goodie bag. Lea would take the bat one, quickly bowing her head. "Thanks."

It was only as she walked further into the room that the girl would notice the projector light. The girl would watch it for a moment, taking a few moments to realize that there wasn't any sounds to go with these moving pictures. Well, Lea could return to this in a bit, there was still more to see in this ballroom. It was easy to find more treats, caution tape only ignored during Halloween celebrations. On any other day, her thoughts would focus and worry on the unknown safety of said treats. Lea would take some of the treats to put in her bag for later, taking a cupcake to nibble on during the event.

The bat girl would return back to watching the movie, this time curling up on the cushions and pillows, snatching one of the nearby blankets to cocoon herself in a bubble of warmth. Her bag of candy would end up besides her, occasionally snaking one arm out of her blanket to grab onto more sugar and sweets. There were only a few times where she had to adjust the blanket a bit, wings getting tangled within, but otherwise it had been a pretty relaxed night. One she most certainly had enjoyed.

Cash had enough excitement for one day. Though they want to visited all the locations for trick and treating that scattered all over the castle, doing so required another extra effort that Cash too lazy to do. From climbing the highest tower the castle had, to go to the last stop is a long trek down.

The green eyes initially after they done their trick and treating they feel all their energy had been used up and thus the purple hair uncharacteristically feel tired decided they want to go straight where Slytherin house located but when they passed the ballroom, their interest piqued in.

"Hey, want to check what is going on there?"Cash asked to the second year companion. Cash waited for Starlee to answer for a minute. When Starlee answered it whether the other girl want to go with the beater or not, Cash decided to walk further down the room.

When they step into the ballroom, Cash smile with how the staff really do pull all their best effort for this event. Starting from the dimly lit tunnel that covered in spiderwebs. At the sight of spiderwebs, Cash let out unseen chills. The green eyes remembered how some months ago the attacked of the black spider in their Common Room.

"Why spiders?"Cash mumbled under their breath. The green eyes rarely feel scared but with the said incident, it bring back some unpleasant memory. Cash walked slowly to the end of the tunnel with how heavy the smoke in effect.

Cash smiled knowing the smoke screen spell definitely give an excellent spooky ambience. Once Cash reached the end of the tunnel, they met with Professor Karr downing a pirate costume. "Nice costume, Prof"Cash then look at the five bag of selection that the Professor hold.

"I take the mummy one, Prof. Thank you"Cash then grab the said goodie bag and stepped into the Ballroom. Bag in hand, Cash put the mummy one inside the pirate bag that they bring all night long then they straight away went to the table.

Cash then took one of the black cup and filled up with lemonade. "This is nice"Cash said after they quenching their thirst. Once the cup is empty, the green eyes look at the skeleton on the table. "Wicked!"Cash stated as they poke their hand at the skeleton.

"This is look so real, don't you think?"The green eyes avert their attention to Starlee. Cash then grab some cupcakes. Cash looked at the other selection of sweets. The green eyes had enough candy for the evening and they did not that fond of pretzels.

The purple hair then turned around. They just realize there is a movie played on the wall. A black and white one with no sound. It looks like a vintage pictures from the look of it. Cash did not know what the movie is all about but it did not mean they did not enjoy it. Cash then spot an empty space.

"Let's go that way"Cash told Starlee. Another cup of lemonade and some cupcakes, Cash (hopefully Starlee follow them) seat down on the blanket. They put down their selection of beverage and the cupcakes near where they seat. They grabbed a pillow and stacked a cushion or two.

Cash then laid down on the said pillow while watching the movie that by know Cash know it is a movie about Dracula. "Hey, Star"Cash acknowledge the First Year. "Have you watch the movie before? If you do, what is it about?"Cash inquired the blonde girl. Cash let out a yawn. Today activities definitely drain their energy.

Rose felt like the most important and amazing person in the world when Aldor confided in her that he trusted her and felt comfortable around her. That she made him feel safe. She wasn't sure if that was a common thing in Aldor's life, but from what she could tell, it wasn't. And Rose felt honored to be one of the people he trusted. She knew how much he looked up to his aunt for caring about him when his own family really didn't. Maybe there was just something about Rose that made Aldor trust her.

"Thank you That means a lot." And Aldor could probably tell, too. She was smiling very big with an underlying fondness in her eye.

So they made their way over to the movie. As they were walking through the tunnel, Rose said, "Spooky..." It was dark in there, the light provided by candles on the floor and the ceiling filled with spiderwebs. She heard a voice warn the students- "I'll be starting the movie in just a few moments. Please make your way over to the... movie area if you wish to watch." Rose jumped. She hadn't realized they were late. "Come on!" She said lightheartedly, quickening her pace. "Woah..." she said in awe as they entered the ballroom. It had an entire makeover from when Rose had last seen it. They were a little bit later than others. "Ooh, let's get some food." Rose made her way over to the tables with food and drinks, checking frequently to make sure Aldor was following her and that he was okay.

Rose helped herself to lemonade and treats, waiting patiently for Aldor to take his pick of the options before walking with him to an empty spot for viewing the movie. She put her food and her lemonade on the ground, going to the side of the room to get a couple blankets for them to sit on. They spread out the blankets, making themselves comfortable as the movie was shown on the projector. "Thanks for coming with me. This is so fun," Rose smiled, very glad she had asked Aldor along. Sometimes you just needed a little bit quieter of company, especially when the world was screaming at you with different opinions of what to do. Especially when Rose's entire world felt chaotic. Rose needed to be grounded from time to time, to be shown that it was all going to be okay. Because it was. And sometimes it took a shy, sweet guy like Aldor.

Rose spread out her legs in front of her, adjusting her dress, and then crossed her legs.

Frankly, she had been called names that were far worse than 'numpty'. Freak, seemed to be a fan favorite of many- even for those of blood relations. If anything numpty was a welcome jab, when compared to the harsher names people liked to throw her way. Thus her reaction towards this horrible, horrible word, was a fairly tame one. "Apology accepted." She would gladly take being called a numpty, over freak. But, she had to admit she did find it odd, that he had not called her, by his usual choice of names. He claimed that he was 'out of sorts'. Yeah. No kidding. "Oh really? I haven't noticed." She answered with dry sarcasm, and an eyeroll. Actually, no, it wasn't odd- it was rather worrying, when considering his nature. Was the trick the real problem? Or was there something else? Thankfully she was able to coax a small smile out of him. Which to her, meant that he wasn't completely broken.

That little smile didn't last very long though. Her own mouth would in turn, quirk to one side; as she noted his strange submissiveness. Her brow furrowed. She could tell, by the way he had phrased his defense -if you will- that he was looking for more than just a yes, no, or an 'I understand'. Her head cocked to one side, as she glared at him through narrowed eyes. It had caught her slightly off guard. One of her odd hair stands, would slightly pull away, from the Sleekeazy's that was holding it in place. The lively tress would flick, in an seemingly agitated manner; almost as if it was trying to brush the boys question away. "Hm. Indeed." Was all she would say to that. A vague answer for a vague question. She usually preferred to keep details on her home life ambiguous- well, as ambiguous as a child could keep them. It was another thing she did out of habit. But Pericles was a smart lad, chances were, he could probably decipher that 'indeed', was truly an affirmative that applied, to all those unasked questions. The Gryffindor wasn't used to having people pry into any subjects deemed personal. Xailah would tuck the quill that had been gifted to her, behind her ear. She found some relief in his question- as it would seem that both oddities, had an interest in each others home lives.

But if Pericles wanted better answers concerning the topic of home, he was going to have to start asking better questions. Not-so-subtle (yet still very subtle) inquires, were only going to get him subtle answers, and offhanded remarks. Offhanded remarks, like the one that would be spoken, in response to the explanation of his troubles. "Ssself-awareness isn't silly. Unless of course you are referring to the way you were expressing that self-awareness- which in that case yes, you were being silly." She blinked slowly- she was unsure if she was trying to lighten his mood, or if she was trying to give him a hard time. Perhaps it was a healthy helping of both? She shrugged to herself, as she watched Pericles accept the Earth she had offered, and pop it into his mouth. He would wave off her dragon comment. Was it really polite for him to ignore her kleptomania problem? Maybe. Yes. It was. She preferred, for her friends to ignore her little habit- even if doing so would only worsen it. At least she wouldn't have to explain herself to them.

Though, after seeing the look of, what might have been surprise(?) on the Ravenclaws face, she couldn't help but feel just a little embarrassed. Especially after remembering that she had originally tried to take the whole orrery, from the Astronomy area. And then came his snickers! Her being a poor influence made him laugh! "Tell me sssomething I don't know." She took on a sheepish tone, that would quickly flee once the bird cautiously asked about the movie. He got to go see movies? Lucky. Nosferatu would be Xailah's first movie. She didn't... she didn't get out much. Obviously. Despite the horror film being the first that she would witness, she was actually familiar with the title. "Mmm. Vaguely." It was a German film, she knew that much. She had heard the older members of her family talk about it, once or twice. "The film is adapted from the horror classic: Dracula, by Bram Stoker." She said in a distant, and almost mechanical way; as she recalled snippets of an old conversation that she had overheard years ago, about the movie. She sent the boy a dazed blink, before admitting: "I've never seen a movie before." She then prodded. "What all have you seen?" Did he have a projector, like the one the Librarian was currently working? Or did his parents like to take him places? He was awfully lucky, if both were the case. This was only the start of what would soon (in the very near future) become a barrage of nonsensical film questions.

Having further noticed, that his caution had not yet left; Xailah would try to hand Schrödinger off to Pericles, after the cat received his compensatory head pats. Holding Schrödinger always made her feel a little secure- she didn't see why it couldn't do the same for the boy. "Sssplendid. I- he, has already selected a perfect ssspot for the construction to take place." She informed the young wizard, with a bob of her head. "Its a ssshame your Athena lost interest. She doesn't know what she's missing out on. Maybe you ssshould start providing her incentive to be patient." It was a shame that Athena had not come. Xailah had been hoping to see the cat. Schrödinger desperately needed a playmate of his species. Not, desperately- but he could certainly benefit from one. "Cats are no different from you and I- they want a reason to do things. Anyways-" She shrugged, and then cleared her throat. "This way please." A spindly finger would wag, and beckon the falcons way; in an attempt to get him to follow. And should he do so, he would be guided through the graveyard of abandoned pillows, and blankets; until both he, and his guide reached a bare spot, near the front of the room. "Here." His guide would declare, and gesture to the small space, in a Vanna White sort of fashion. "As you can see, this ssspot will allow him to have a clear view of the projected pictures- and be out of the way of ssstudents who are here to spectate." She would glance around at the other faces in the ballroom. It would seem that several of tonights guest, were either asleep, or trying to get hexes removed. "Which by the looks of it, are not many."

Excitement looked to be sparse in these parts. It made Xailah wonder if she was overacting. Was a movie, not something to excited about? Whatever. It wasn't like the lack of enthusiasm in the room, would ruin the night for the lion and eagle. She bent, to pick up a fairly large pillow, that had been laying nearby. "The pillows will be the foundation for the ssstructure. Schrödinger had informed me, that he wanted his fort to be big enough to fit at least ten cats inside- or two humans, and one cat." The pillow would be returned to the floor, with a soft thump. "I hope you have some experience with building things, because I would hate for all of our hard work to crumble-" The metamorph droned quietly. "-If this fort does collapse I will be blaming you, Pericles." She added as an afterthought.

All that Aldor had been doing this night was following his friend Rose, but for once, walking around people did not seem like an awful thing, just being there and knowing that who invited you was enjoying your company, was more than enough for the young Hufflepuff wizard. He had a lot of fun, more than he probably ever had in Hogwarts, this was a strange feeling for him, he would usually be isolated at the library, or sitting by the lake in complete sillence.

Aldor heard his friend thank him, he could not help but smile back, as a very light blush started showing on his face. And so, Aldor kept following Rose through the tunnel looking at the ceiling every once in a while, kind of fascinated by every single detail that was left around the tunnels, soon after, he heard the same voice that Rose did, and began walking faster, but mostly skipping, he was quite short, and that dragon costume was not helping either as he was almost tripping over, but managed to stay close to Rose.

As soon as they entered the Ballroom, his eyes lightened up, everything seemed so wonderful and (no pun intended) charming, even though they were a bit late, he was thankful that he did not have to stumble into anyone, he was terrified of the idea of someone aproaching him and starting conversation with him. Soon after, his friend indicated him to get some treats with her, and so he did, slowly picking what he wanted, but also quick enough to not make Rose wait.

He kept following her, doing his best to help her on what he could, while all of this was happening in the outside, an even larger amount of things was happening inside his head, maybe it was not the perfect time to feel insecure about things, but the awkward sensation of not knowing whether he was being a good companion or not, maybe Rose was just being polite and she was actually inviting him because she felt bad for the miserable Irish boy. This thought tortured him for a few minutes, as he sat on the blanket, slowly removing his helmet and putting it by him, he got lost in the multi-colored eyes of his dragon costume.

His smile would fade for a few seconds, until he snapped out of it, as he heard Rose thanking him for coming with her, Aldor's smile returned, as he felt his face go red, with a few words, she made him feel confident again, this was one of the reasons why he always tried to be around Rose, because for Aldor, there's nothing better than being there for someone.

''R-ose, do you have- any other friends? If you do err- Do you think they'd like me?-''

While Starlee was certainly dreading the walk back down from the Astronomy tower, she was ready to follow Cash wherever they led her. Her feet ached with every step down the winding staircase, and she batted cobwebs out of the way. They finally made it to the bottom, to where Starlee realized they had a lot more of the castle to trek through to get to the ballroom where the movie was supposed to be.

Cash looked inside inquisitively, and asked Starlee "Hey, want to check what is going on there?" Starlee was obviously intrigued, some strange tunnel laid in the doorway. "It's... a little spooky... but... uh... yeah! Let's go!" Starlee said, letting her adventurous attitude shine through. They walked through the tunnel, dodging spiderwebs. Suddenly, Cash seemed to have a wave of... something, come over them, fear maybe? Cash would never be afraid of anything...' Starlee thought, holding the beater in high esteem. She thought she heard Cash say something, but it was too loud around them to hear. The smoke was heavy in the tunnel, and they pressed on forward till they were finally out.

Professor Karr was there to meet them, dressed up in a fanciful pirate costume. Cash complimented the professor's costume, and Starlee nodded in agreement. After Cash asked for the Mummy goodie bag, Starlee smiled, cocked her head to the side, and said "I'll take the bat one pleaseeee!" She drew out the please rather long, trying to be the cute little star she wanted to be.

Cash headed over to the tables filled with even more sweets and various drinks. She picked herself up an orange cup and filled it with Pumpkin Juice, it felt very fitting for the season, and a handful of chocolate pretzels. She couldn't help herself when it came to chocolate! Meanwhile, Cash was observing the skeleton, commenting on how real it looked. Huh, it did look really real. She hoped it was fake though... kinda gross to have a real human skeleton on a table just filled with desserts and candy!

Starlee turned as Cash turned to see the movie on the wall. Well, they were certainly late to this shindig, no thanks to mostly herself. She was just happy she was getting to spend some time with Cash... but also all the candy they were getting!

She quickly followed after Cash to look for an empty seat to watch the movie and to eat all the candy they had retrieved that night. She popped a pretzel in her mouth as they sat down on a pile of blankets and pillows, immediately taking her little glittery heels off as fast as she could. She was DONE with those heels. Cash laid down, while Starlee remained sitting upright, continuing to snack on her food.

"Hey, Star. Have you watch the movie before? If you do, what is it about?" Starlee nodded her head side to side, indicating a no. "No, mum never did let us watch that much TV... she said it would rot my brains out!" She chuckled a bit, thinking about how silly that phrase was. "Not literally of course," she said, wondering if the Pureblood would get the joke. "More like... there is always a lot of... shall we say, dumb stuff, on TV that isn't worth watching. She was worried I would watch too much and would try to do something stupid." Which... Starlee would have to admit she probably would try to do that dumb stuff... but hey, no one needed to know that!

After she finished snacking, she laid down next to Cash to continue enjoying the movie together. "Thanks for letting me come with you!" She smiled at Cash. Boy, this day sure had been a good one.

Although she had been practically dragged to the ballroom by her new found companion, Papa MacarooOni, Adlai still somehow managed to keep the lollipop in her mouth from shattering her teeth. Entering the ballroom, which was currently full of memories of awkwardly standing to the side and watching things be set of fire, she marveled at the decorations. If she had to be honest Hogwarts really did some of the best decorated scenes she had ever seen in her opinion. Everything seemed quite realistic, and unknowingly to her everything possibly could be. Though she did hope that the cobwebs weren't real, the idea of spiders made the hair on the back of her neck stick up. Why would a creature need some many legs and so many eyes? It was just plain unreasonable. And her sisters and mother agreed. Her father on the other hand found their fear of the eight legged beasts to be rather hilarious which only annoyed them.

Nonetheless, she turned her attention else where. For some reason Mac seemed very fidgety. He had seemed that way the whole night in all honesty. Except for a few rare moments when she was some how able to let his guard down. Mac seemed to be like many of the other children here at Hogwarts who were forced to grow up a bit to quickly, who missed the chance of making true, strong friendships. If she could, Adlai would turn back time for them and let them start again in hopes of them being able to be children and not just talented young wizards and witches. However, the only thing she could do was be there for them. “Mac, are you ok?” She asked him.
He truly was a jumpy little thing. In a odd way he reminded her of her sister, Dorothy. Although her parents didn’t require her or her sisters to grow up quickly, Dorothy was very mature but was also very anxious. You could drop a pen and the girl would leap from her seat, like a gazelle leaping from the jaws of a lion on the hunt. Though their mother wasn’t any better either. You could make as much noise as you possibly could coming down the hall way and then in the blink of an idea she’d gasp and say, “You scared me!”. Adlai was sure Dorothy that trait from their mother.

Percival glared at Dealla as she spoke the boy truly disliked the girl with every fiber in his being. Any interaction between them was soured by a never-ending list of reasons to dislike the other. Yes so scary. I truly do wonder what strings the Headmaster had to pull to let a hag attend Hogwarts." he snarked his tone matching hers.

The boy could not help the small huff of laughter that escaped watching the blue candy hit Dealla. It felt like great retribution for calling him stupid. Percival smirked to himself as Ileen seemingly defended being a Pureblood. "See even Ileen can agree Purebloods are vastly superior."[/b] he snapped. Though he was quickly quieted at the piercing glare Ileen gave him.

Percival picked up a couple more pieces of candy corn. Inwardly surprised at actually liking the candy. Even if it was a muggle invention. The boy would glance up from the candy bowl as the two began their climb to the ballroom. After grabbing a few more pieces for the go, Percival would walk to the left of Ileen. The further away Dealla was the better.

The white bedsheet would turn its head slightly as Ileen said the word 'us'. Percival wished he could show Ileen and Dealla exactly how much he appreciated Dealla's presence. A scowl was on his face, and his eyes were narrowed at the thought of wanting Dealla around. If he had his way, Dealla would have stayed in whatever hole she had scurried out of. That way he could hang out with Ileen by themselves. Sadly, Ileen was like a light attracting all the little Dealla moths to her. It always seemed like the two were together, and in a way it reminded him of him and Hana.

Percival frowned slightly as Ileen aked where he had retrieved the bedsheet from. "Just from some bed in my dorm." he said with a small shrug. Percival blatantly left out the fact that he had stolen the sheet from his own bed. Not wanting to hear Dealla or Ileen laugh at his foolhardiness. Percival hadn't been too concerned about the consequences of ruining a bedsheet for a last-minute costume. Though, the boy was not too worried about the damage he had done to the bedsheet. He was certain the house-elves would be able to fix it before anyone noticed one missing bedsheet.

Alan indeed would find them in the ballroom after he had finished his tour and would look around curiously as he made his way into the ballroom. It looked different than what he was used to seeing in here which made it interesting to take in every angle of the huge room to see what the staff had come up with. He would often have to narrow his eyes to make out details though as smoke that he was familiar with wafted through the room. An excellent way to utilize the fumos spell if he dared to say. He would find a place to sit but not until after he saw the cool food tray with the skeleton. He would take a few treats he would find there, such as some of the biscuits as well as some other chocolatey candies and gummies. Alan was more or less in paradise and could not help but fall in love with the event. Sadly enough he did not find anything for Tiger here. Tiger was with him even though he was currently nearly fully obscured as he was curled up in a pumpkin that the Gryffindor was carrying around with him. People who passed him or dared to look into the pumpkin would be able to see the feline within as the Gryffindor sat down on one of the spots. He had enough to eat and was quite curious about that movie. He was wondering what kind of movie because he had learned that muggles made a whole lot of them and basically made them since forever.

Very quickly when the movie started the fourth year had to recognize that this movie was no fun at all and he would rather just do some other stuff than watch the weird movie. There were no singing animals, no, there was no sound at all and it really messed with Alan's attention span as he began to play with Tiger instead. He wouldn't want to be rude as to leave early but for now he would just focus on eating candy and teasing Tiger until the movie was over. If by the end of the movie the professor would be still available to speak the gryffindor would head towards the librarian, carrying his cat in the pumpkin and ask her whether she had made the cupcakes herself. If she would answer him, he would let her know that he had liked the taste of them a lot and that he wished he could eat more of them, preferably for three meals per day; a mischievous grin ever present on his face as he was speaking to the woman.

Opeila had a good time. Happily holding her planet popsicle and chocolate broom, she made her way back to the ballroom with Flash.
Every other minute she would look down herself to see that the brooch was still there, like she had done all evening. This was the ultimate sign of her being a duellist now, right? She couldn't lose it.

She got used to the spooky lighting by now. While it still made her be more wary of everything that was happening around her, she didn't fear the shadows caused by the dim candlelights anymore. Flash's presence probably did it's part as well, just like last year she felt just safer around him. One thing that didn't change over the holidays.

"When I waited for you at the ballroom earlier, I saw they changed the entrance into some sort of tunnel. I didn't enter, but I'm really curious! The decoration in the candy locations was great, so the ballroom must be amazing!", she told her best friend while walking up the last staircase.

But when they entered the tunnel leading to the ballroom, it was not at all what she expected. Thinking about it now, she was unsure what she expected, but it was just... not this. The tunnel was covered in cobwebs.
Did something move in the corner? Something black...? Opeila swallowed and walked faster. The smile was gone, she almost ran through the tunnel. The decoration put images in her head. Sounds of screaming students, pain in her legs like they were set on fire... She had to get out and save herself. Reaching the end of the tunnel was relieving. The Astronomy cobwebs had been fine, they had been at the ceiling only with parts hanging down, but being surrounded by them, by the home of creatures she learned to see as enemies... It made her tense.

At the end of it, the Astronomy Professor waited to hand out gift bags. Spiders were one option. The Slytherin had enough for a lifetime of those. She chose a Jack-o-Lantern one.

The movie had already started, but Opeila didn't mind. She had a fun time, collecting candy, that was worth missing thr beginning of the movie.

"Where do you want to go?", she asked her best friend, when he made it through the tunnel and chose his bag. Her gaze wandered over the pillows and blankets to the tables and stools. "Should we get drinks?"
