The Fall Ball (Costume Party)

Guts, streaming down his face. The girls hadn’t said anything, or started crying like he had hoped, but instead he was getting a cold glare and a face full of goopy seeds. The wet twack resounded in his ears better than any incomprehensible insult or complaint could have, and he frankly loved the instant retaliation. He returned her glower with unblinking wide eyes and a misplaced grin. Not looking happy, but something else. Unhinged, unpredictable. Before he could bend down to grab for the leftovers in the bowl, the guts war clearly on the horizon, Yefim felt a cold drenching wetness down his entire back, making him jump from the shock of bubbling moisture soaking through his clothes and running down his collar.
Not that he couldn’t have easily recognized the ‘HA!’, he swiftly turned to his companion. With the expression on his face, he could only assume that his backside was not the initial target. Niffy was frankly a lot better at nabbing things than he was throwing things, he was proving it time and time again. Still, the spirit was commendable, and Yefim wasn’t about to begrudge being covered in guts and beer. It only added to his immense intimidation factor! Somehow!
[”Do me a favor and never become a Chaser, okkaaaayyy?”] Instead of wasting a second on looking angry, Yefim wore a more genuine, less terrifying smile, drawing out his words playfully. As punishment, he poked at Niffler’s stomach and armpits in a brief, deadly tickle assault that would only scratch the surface of his incredible tickling prowess.
Yefim’s attention would be drawn yet again to a great unleashing. Some kids were letting out a metric butt ton of chocolate frogs, and they instantly started hopping around everywhere. They were getting into everything, jumping over everyone, and leaving little chocolate footmarks everywhere. Yefim was getting excited, this party was actually great!!!
His attention was only returned when Niffs spoke up again, saying something about Mik. Returning his hard-to-capture attention to his close quarters, he saw someone dressed up in a black cloak, concealed head to toe in a suit and creepy mask. Who the hell… the standing still, the spooky clothes… not fitting in… looking down at his fingers tapping nervously in silence, it was clear that Niffler had been right. Even though he said he didn’t want to come, he did! That silly bugger even got all freaky deaky, a perfect addition to the completely mismatched trio. Yefim’s excitement COULD NOT be contained. With the energy of the room only escalating as more things that Yefim loved kept happening, he nearly screamed when he recognized his friend. No, wait, he did scream.
[”MIK! MIK! YOU CAME!”] Yefim gasped, bounding to his best friend’s side. Since he was covered in disgustingness, he gave grace to the only person who really deserved it and didn’t pull him into a sloppy bear hug. He would spare him the smell and slop, instead feverishly jumping up and down around him in a circle, like a hyperactive mime trying to overcome an invisible wall. [”YES! THIS IS PERFECT!”]
He didn’t ever really consider why Mik’s feelings and comfort mattered more to him than anyone else’s. Most of the time, he didn’t care about anyone at all except himself, which made sense, since he was an immortal soul destined to bring about endless dark chaos, but Mik was an exception. After all, Mik was there when Yefim was confused. When his father was suddenly not in his life anymore, and he was told that everything he had been learning about himself was a lie.
Most of the kids avoided him, calling him creepy. No one talked to him, or those who did quickly left after he made them uncomfortable. Nothing but side eyes and confusion. A void of human interaction. Not Mik, though, for some reason. He never asked, but Mik talked to him like nothing was wrong. Like he wasn’t a complete freak. He stayed by him even when he said something a bit too messed up. Who knew why he did it, but Yefim wasn’t about to mistreat his most loyal worshipper.
[”Let’s tear this place apart.”] Ever-so-slightly calming down, Yefim gave an eeeeeeevil smile to his minions, going back to the aforementioned guts bowl and picking up a big ol’ handful. ”EAT IT!”
FOOD FIGHT!

The Fall Ball (Costume Party)
Interacting with: @Ruka Burnett-Tân, @Jo Morgan, @Pericles Dralt, & @Jake Morrison, but open to more~
Mentioning: @Persephone Barret
Action(s):
- Floating a few inches off the ground while eating Fizzing Whizzbees
- Opening a wizard cracker
- Attempting to feed Jo a Fizzing Whizzbee
While the effects of the trick drinks and food delighted Jack into fits of laughter, they were not forced upon him as Jo's were and therefore were not enough to deafen him to other things. The single word spoken in his head, for example.
<Menace.>
Amused though he was, the Slytherin chose not to respond. He guessed the speaker would soon be in his midst anyway. In the meantime, he snuck over to the third table of treats and curiously selected a wizard cracker from among those on offer in order to discover what was inside.
"What an inventive fairy," someone said, causing him to look up from opening the cracker immediately.
It was one of the Ravenclaws that Jack admired most; that prefect, Pericles, and the host of the costume party as well. Hazel eyes followed the costumed falcon's gaze to a small blonde figure sweeping the air above them and twinkled.
"Well of course she is," he remarked, playfully nudging the bird boy with an elbow and speaking as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. "She's a tinker; always tinkering with things. Didn't you know?" His grin reflected in every feature of his face, lighting up his whole countenance as if from within. "That's why they call her Tinker Bell."
Then he sneered at Pericles. "What about you, huh? Don't you have your own date?" He inclined his head in a knowing smirk, leaning close to lower his voice. "I recall hearing you being quite popular last ball. But girls really are a great deal of trouble, aren't they?" As if for emphasis, he jabbed a thumb over his shoulder at the uncontrollably-laughing Gryffindor, Jo. "Likely more than they're worth."
As if on cue, the half-scowling pixie that Pericles had been admiring spoke up just then to address Jack.
"Spreading Happy Thoughts already, Peter?"
'Peter' beamed, spreading his arms wide in welcome, though one hand still clutched the contents of the wizard cracker he had opened.
"Tink! You made it!" came his joyous cry in return. He watched 'Tink' nod to the blue-masked girl before turning back to speak to him once more, positively radient. Jack had to admit that, for someone who had been pranked, Ruka had taken up the challenge posed to him remarkably well; better than he'd thought possible.
"Forgot that others also need pixie dust to fly, did you?"
Before he could answer, Ruka retrieved a fist of the dust-fine glitter from the small pouch around his neck and held it out before him to blow in Jack's face. The red-headed Slytherin's face crinkled up at the foreign sparkles tickling his skin, willing himself not to breathe it in lest he sneeze. It was close, but he just barely managed it. Instead, he snorted an amused puff of air before chuckling softly and shaking his head.
"It's not happy thoughts that's gotten a hold of this one, though, Tink," he insisted, waving away the fine glitter that continued to linger in the air as he nodded toward Jo. "I'll bet it's the madness that Alice seems to bring with her wherever she goes." Jack sneered at Persephone in her Wonderland-themed outfit.
"Stay...away...from me..." the black-clad young lady was able to get out between the compulsions of giggles that siezed her. She probably would have done better to remain silent. But as she had not, Jack turned his wickedly mischevious look upon her.
"They say that at the heart of all comedy is tragedy," he mused, raising his brows at her before reaching out to tap her on the nose with an index finger. "Probably has to do with why tickling can be considered a form of torture. I'm sure laughing your guts out isn't much more fun, either. Much less in front of a group of your...favorite people."
Pulling a silly face, he stuck out his tongue gleefully as he removed a Fizzing Whizzbee from the pouch at his belt and attempted to pop it into Jo's mouth when it was open with her laughter. "Here~ Maybe this'll take the edge off!" Jack quickly made to step out of her reach then, eager to avoid whatever murderous actions might have resulted from Jo's wrath. It seemed like he was right to do so, too, for she was already doing her best to head toward Pericles and Jack wasn't so sure the prefect wouldn't be out for his blood soon himself for more personal reasons. He was an intelligent young man, after all; it was why Jack respected him.
Though he didn't know all that many Japanese words, he knew enough to recognize when Jo was spouting profanities. The Welsh boy hurriedly glanced back toward Ruka, wondering how close he was at hand with his...powers of flight.
<Maybe it's time we get out of here. What do you think? Or did you want to stick around to see what else happens?
We can fly around for a bit and see if there's anything interesting going on.>
It was then that Jack noticed a boy in green from head to toe; even more so than him or Ruka. He looked to be costumed as a frog. The Slytherin laughed again and slid over to Jake on his floating feet.
"Hello, there!" he greeted. "You're dressed just like one of my Lost Boys, did you know?"
As if there wasn't enough chaos going on, some kids Jack didn't recognize were shouting and throwing pumpkin guts while others seemed to have unleashed a plague of chocolate frogs. The red-headed burst into more laughter. It was chaos, yes...but still nothing like the chaos from the last ball.

He was a little bit confused when his wizard cracker yielded the feathered tricorn in his hands, stumped of what to do with it. Should he put it on? But…no, that would clash with his Batman costume, and he was already wearing a mask, which would interfere with the tricorn to fit snugly on his head. Andrew would hold the hat in his hands for now, setting it on the haybale while he did his pumpkin carving, careful not to spill any pumpkin guts on it and stain the fabric orange (though Scourgify could easily rectify that, if it happened).
He laughed when he saw the pair of skull socks that Dan's cracker had produced for him. As if that weren't a plain enough sign of what he had been trying to stress to Dan for the past two years! "Ha! Talk about a coincidence!" His tone was half teasing as he coaxed Dan, knowing better than to give his hopes up that the Barefooted Seeker would ever change his ways. "Well, I suppose we have to do baby steps first, so it's a good start. Go on, try 'em on!"
His attention would soon shift back to himself, forgetting all about Dan's socks as Andrew's hair rapidly grew out, startling him slightly, but remembering the warning of "Tricky Treats", had expected something out of ordinary to happen (after noticing a few students succumb to their "tricks" as well), and thus wasn't a cause for panic. He could feel the weight on his head grow heavier as his brown locks erupted and cascaded down to his waist.
His vision plunged into darkness, and Andrew blinked, eyelashes batting against the curtain of bangs that covered his mask.
"Ah!" Andrew yelped, his shock quickly ebbing away into chuckles, realizing what had happened to him. He could hear the laughter of other students rippling around him. "Dan! Dan, where are you?" He failed his arms, feeling for Dan's presence, pretending to fumble his way around dramatically. "Hey, who turned out all the lights?" He giggled, shortly parting the curtain of bangs with his hands, restoring his sight.
"Uh, does anyone have a hair tie around?" He'd ask anyone nearby. If none, then Andrew would have to make do with using a lock of his own hair to wrap the rest of his mane into a ponytail, keeping it out of the way. So far, so good.
"Well, that's one down," he commented. "One to go.. I think."
He was expecting another trick to happen anytime soon, but halfway into Andrew's pumpkin carving session, he had started to think that his other treat had been a dud.
The effect might have been slow-kicking, but the timing couldn't have been more convenient, halting Andrew's plans for an early getaway from the party. Just as Andrew was attempting to leave the room with Dan, he felt a change come over his face. A weird sensation as his skin hardened and turned color, though there was no pain involved.
With a snap!, the string holding his Batman mask broke free under the pressure of its wearer's face expanding and rounding like a balloon. Andrew's wide eyes and agape mouth morphed into the shocked look of a jack-o-lantern, bearing uncanny resemblance to the crudely chiseled features of Pumpernickel himself.
"What the-?" Dropping his feathered tricorn, Andrew's normal human hands reached up to frantically touch his face, only to feel…no, this wasn't his face! This wasn't skin! His fingers brushed over the smooth, ribbed texture of the pumpkin shell that had now replaced his head. But rather than piece together and rely upon his own assumption of what had happened to him, Andrew sought verbal confirmation from those around him. Specifically his best friend.
"Dan, what do you see?" He lowered a warning tone in suspense, bracing himself for what Dan might say regarding his new appearance. . . If Dan could even speak at all.

PSA: If anyone has a hair tie to lend to Andrew, or possibly tie up his hair for him, that would be much appreciated. Doesn't have to lead to a conversation - just a brief mention will do. Also, Andrew's feathered tricorn is now dropped on the ground beside him, as well as his Batman mask (string is broken, mask is slightly cracked but intact), free for grabs if anyone wants to take a swipe at it.

Right. The Fizzing Whizbee Jack had managed to pop into her mouth. It took a while to kick in, of course, but by the time Jo had finished her sip of pumpkin juice, her feet were a few inches off of the ground."Here~ Maybe this'll take the edge off!"
Oh god, Pericles probably thought she was such an idiot. Rightly so, too. Jo wouldn't judge the boy if he did. It was less of a "think" thing and more of a "know" thing anyway."There's a half chance it's mundane...?"
Anticipating the horrific things that could possibly befall her, Jo held her breath for a few moments, watching another student's hair shoot down his back. Luckily, it seemed that her own rash act had no consequences for now. No immediate consequences that she could tell, anyway. Relieved, Jo took another sip of her pumpkin juice. As if that could save her dignity.
"Argh, yeah, I don't think the floating thing is from the juice," she explained to the Ravenclaw.
Peri, obviously busy, excused himself and went off as Jo pouted. "What's the point of a party if you can't even eat the food?" If she wouldn't be able to gorge herself on delicious treats without fearing the effects of every bite, she might as well as go back to her dorm right now.
Jo slapped her foot towards the ground as she propelled herself towards Jack, bobbing up and down ungracefully like a chicken wing in a deep fryer. Oh god, she was going to rip Jack a new one if she ever got to him. Her only consolation about the whole matter was that Persephone had yet to join in the fun. Better not jinx that, though. Things were awful now, but they could always be worse.
The levitating second-year's bitter thoughts were interrupted by a sentence that brought a smile to her face.
“I really love your dress!”
Looking down, she was met with a blonde girl she had never seen before. The girl was certainly no
Housemate of hers - her cheerful demeanor and playful pirate costume suggested that she came from the house of the Badger.
Despite its obvious costume-like nature, her stylish coat and hat suggested that she had a taste for elegance in fashion. Jo could respect that.
"Thank you ! And I love your outfit - you look amazing! I don't think we've met before. I'm Jo Morgan. May I ask your name?" she asked, her voice slightly louder than normal.
Suddenly, she noticed Jack talking to a little badger that she recognized. Grimacing, she broke away from her current conversation in order to minimize the damage Jack would likely eventually go on to inflict on the poor boy.
"Oh, leave him alone." Jo complained as she paddled over with her foot, recalling the little boy's presence at the Blossom Ball. He had run and gotten the help of some professors after she had been stung - Jo owed him one for that. "Isn't one victim enough for the night?"
A voice spoke loudly from her general direction. Jo looked over at the direction where the voice came from and saw the floating head she had noticed earlier speaking to the suit of armour, which was still sporting a fabulous beard. Interesting...so the mysterious suit of armour did not contain a student. But which professor? Almost subconsciously, Jo shot a glance at the girl all clothed in black, who must be trying to look inconspicuous. Of course, dressing like a spy only made her look more suspicious. Jo would have to keep an eye on the both of them. Especially the girl - anyone dressed like that was up to no good."Good to see you again too, Professor-"
"Uh, does anyone have a hair tie around?" asked a boy with a pumpkin for a head, his long hair flowing behind it. Jo was quick to spring into action, tearing off her silver-colored barrette.
"I do! Here, let me tie it for you. I'm not sure you can see very well." If the boy would allow her to, Jo would gingerly clip the boy's hair into a ponytail. If not, she would simply hand him the pin.
HAIR BARRETTE IMAGE:

Jo picked up a feathered tricorn hat lying nearby, although in her haste she neglected to see the boy's Batman mask, which remained on the ground.
"Is this hat yours? Er...you can keep the hair pin, by the way."
ACTIONS: Floating thanks to @Jack Burnett , talking to people, attempting to defend @Jake Morris, and getting the heebie-jeebies from @Evelynn Decipio, attempting to help @Andrew Vance pin up his gorgeous hair.

"Oh." Andrew turned his head to the sound, noticing a girl [Jo Morgan] in a black dress sort of "flutter" or "moon hop" on the ground towards him. Being in a predicament of his own, too occupied with brushing his hair out of his face, and since everyone had their own curious ways of dressing up for the Costume party, he didn't bother questioning [Jo'] "floating" oddity.
"Gee, thanks." Andrew's smile expressed his gratitude and relief, pleasantly surprised that anyone would be willing to part with one of their hair clips for him, much less sacrifice an item that looked so valuable, studded with a few crystals even.
Hey, beggars couldn't be choosers.
Having no experience in handling barrettes, Andrew would allow [Jo] to pin his hair for him. Finally, he could breathe again.
Still coming to grips with his new reality as Rapunzel Pumpkinhead (until the effects wore off), Andrew would nearly forget about his old Batman identity, as well as the tricorn he had dropped, before [Jo] swooped in and presented the hat to him.
"Oh?" Andrew turned his head again, recognizing the item [Jo] held in her hands. "Oh yes, that's mine." He'd reach his hands for the hat, claiming his hard-earned prize back into his possession (not like he would miss it if it were lost…okay, maybe). "Heh, thanks." He chuckled sheepishly. "But I couldn't possibly -uh- What's your name?" He asked [Jo], not having formally met her before. "I can give it back to you when the party's over, owl tomorrow. Or when the effect wears off, if I find you again. Either way, uh, thanks. Pretty as an Elf, I'll be tonight," he'd joke, referring to the beautiful barrette that adorned his lush, flowing locks. "Uh, Tolkien's Elves, not house-elves," he'd quickly try to explain, in case [Jo] wasn't familiar with the Muggle reference.

The Fall Ball (Costume Party)
"Quinn, like quill." The comparison was chirped on the note of an A-ha!, the tactic of linking a likeness cementing this name into memory. "That's Irish, isn't it? Or is it short for something?"
It's nice to see and in turn, be seen: so nice in fact, you'd have to forgive them for their coltish, Bambi-on-ice gaffe, this sudden surge of head-over-heels giddiness. Their eyes dart like gazelles for a moment, excitement welling with every glance that falls from them.
'-Yes-,' springs from them. Pride has the colour high in Quinn's cheeks--like sunlight through shards of Cathedral glass or the roseate of turning leaves; our fawn is a giddy and happy thing beneath their glitter and awry cowlicks. Earnest sun-motes in their honey eyes stand-in for stars. 'Or, actually, you know what, I'm not entirely sure,' they confess, almost humorously. 'But I definitely think you're right about it being Irish. At the time I just thought it sounded like a good, neutral name. I love how close it is to Quill, too...'
On the subject of their headmaster, their lids lower in a great but fleeting pause and they clue themselves in with an auspicious. 'You're right, Peri--oh, but he doesn't look at all well. I think...'
Their wayward Headmaster seemed to Quinn like the fabled tin-man, the one from Oz, puttering about in search of something, anything, to keep him from slipping right off the raggedy edge. Frayed wires start fires. They wondered idly if he'd had a tipple from the barmaid's apron. Not that the poor dinosaurs needed a bowling-alley strike to their relevance, another (albeit brief) extinction, but the sight of Solomon Lear does just that. (Old gentle things need preservation too)
'I think maybe we should help him...'
Through their prattling, they'd promised they'd send those dinosaur books over--there's a great illustration of his favourite dinosaur that has to be seen to be believed! And, of course, what sets the spinosaurus apart is the iconic sail--but they're both wonderfully and irrevocably linked. Pericles Dralt leaves and for a moment the world seems a little dimmer. What he leaves in his wake are pleasant, drifting thoughts: wonderings about pumpkin juice, the smiling, all-knowing Baryonyx and a deeply rooted thistle of concern for the Headmaster. The very same one now breaking open wizard crackers by the box.
Between the jingle-bell titters and "What were you saying about dinosaurs again, Quinn?" the fawn is lured back from the off-beaten track of their thoughts. 'Oh, yes! I was just saying...' Between the age-old 'do-I, don't-I' reticle, their doleful, doe-eyes return to both Callista and the Laughing Banana, hoping to appeal to their good nature. Their lashes flutter a few times, perplexed and the needle-point clicks true, a decision made. 'I think I... I'm just going to see if the headmaster is okay, but I'll be back I promise. You guys can come too if you want.'
--
Though sure enough--just from the periphery of Lear's side, there's a small, cautious squeak of a greeting. 'Hi sir!'
The speaker squirms for a moment, like a baby beansprout in loam, wringing hands, swaying nervously in place. Every bit a student out of their depth for conversing with someone so austere and respected. They wet the parchment of their throat and try again. 'Do you need a hand with those?'

The Fall Ball (Costume Party)
Dan was having a great time. The food was good, the Butterbeer was a delight, and Andy was there. Then there was the Irish pastime of Pumpkin Carving happening.
But he was both surprised, and then somewhat annoyed that his wizard cracker had given him socks. One of the two things Dan was NEVER going to need nor want, the other being shoes.
He couldn't help but be jealous of Andy, who got an an awesome tricorn hat.
This was some primo bullshit.
But, Dan decided that MAYBE he could wear them back to the common room after a shower. He wouldn't have to brush his feet off before he went to bed that way. He decided he would think about it.
Dan finished his Jack O' Lantern, showing off his pumpkin carving skill, and showed Morrigan to Andy.
Dan was VERY happy with his Jack O' Lantern. But then, suddenly, Andy pulled him up and tried to make him leave. And Dan saw why.
Jack Warren had shown up. Someone who had hurt HIS Andrew Vance.
But then Dan smirked as he remembered that Andy gave the little bastard a lovely facial scar. That didn't stop Dan from wanting to break his stupid face even further, though.
In fact-
Before Dan could give Jack a proper hexing, all of a sudden he started belting out laughter. And couldn't stop. He fell over, laughing uproariously. He was thankful of course, that it wasn't tickling him, but this was only slightly better. He tried to beg someone to make it stop, but for some reason it came out as
"Peebs!! Maple Dick Stobbs!!"
What the hell?
Then he saw what was happening to Andy and, to be fair, he would have laughed without the aid of the potion. He was now Pumpkin Boy, Prince of Gorgeous Locks.
When he asked what had happened, Dan replied.
"Punkcorn Hahahahahahat!!!"
He had meant to say Pumpkin Head.... And the constant laughter was making it even harder to understand.
Dan still wished to tell Jack exactly what he thought of him though. So he did.
"Jock!! Tickle Burst Dan!!"
NONONONONONO! He had meant to call him a little bastard!
Dan prayed that everyone realized that he was under the influence of something... How the hell long was this going to last?!
But he was both surprised, and then somewhat annoyed that his wizard cracker had given him socks. One of the two things Dan was NEVER going to need nor want, the other being shoes.
He couldn't help but be jealous of Andy, who got an an awesome tricorn hat.

Riley had been in the rehearsal room once or twice before, but it seemed bigger this time around. She looked around, taking in all of the bats, pumpkins, and all the other decorations. Riley had realized that her and Jo hadn't talked a lot recently, and she felt bad for that. She enjoyed hanging out with Jo, it was just hard with all of the schoolwork recently. She looked around, at all of the other fancy outfits. She looked at her own, the rainbow sweater and jeans and chucks. Her and Jo had decided not to wear dresses and all that, but just simple, comfy clothes. "It is, I love it" She smiled. She was so happy to be here with Jo, but the butterflies in her stomach were insane. Riley had only felt them a couple times in her muggle school, but it wasn't nearly this bad. Her face was flushed red with happiness. "So, what are we doing first?" Riley looked around. There were plenty of things to do, who knew what they should do first. Maybe snacks? Or... well, she'd let Jo suggest something. Honestly, Riley didn't care what they did, as long as they did it together.

The rose seemed to have its intended effect on this girl, though Nick didn't quite know what that effect was supposed to be. At least she liked the rose, which made his venture over here at least a bit fruitful. The girl definitely seemed to be smaller than the girls in his year, so this was probably her First Year, meaning this was probably her first dance.Interacting with: @Medea Darkwaters
Nick smiled, now knowing the redheaded cat lady's name. "Pleasure tae meet ye Medea, 'm Caelan, but ye can call me Nick." Nick said, before seeing that her face was starting to turn red, "F-forgive me, I-I didn' mean tae embarrass ye, ye just seemed tae be alone n'..." The colour of Nick's face started to change too, but not to red.
Medea luckily broke up the silence after Nick didn't know what to say. Calming down a bit, Nick responded, "Well, ye, I did come alone, but ye know what they say, 'A lonely bird will always find-" He cut himself off as he looked back to Medea, bringing his eyes up to see her hair rising. It wasn't just raising, though, as none of the hairs fell down her head, every single one of them just seeming to be pulled up by gravity instead of down.
Not wanting to touch the hair of a person who was still practically a stranger, he started to open and close his mouth trying to get some words out. By the time it was completely standing up, Nick finally said, "Uh... Medea? I-I think somethin's up with yer hair." Nick said, pointing at the tip of her hair to show how high it's gotten. Little did he know a growing problem had started to arise for him too.
The effects of Nick's potion were a lot more slow-acting than Medea's. It started off small, with Nick's skin tone turning a bright shade of orange over time. Then that's when he started to notice a weird feeling in his face, it felt puffy but hard at the same time. He started rubbing his face in confusion, but his face was growing around him, surprisingly none of this hurt.
The growing had come to a point where his mask snapped and floated down to the ground. "Damn it!" Nick said as he tried to turn his head down to see where it landed. The only problem was, his head had gotten too big for him to rotate it. Well, it wouldn't exactly be what you'd call a head anymore, his eyes and mouth being replaced with dark Jack-o-Lantern sockets.
Nick finally touched his face again after the transformation had been complete, but his face wasn't there, his skin was hard and rigged. He had turned into a pumpkin head. Not knowing what had happened, Nick started to panic. He looked to Medea, the shocked pumpkin face being constant as he desperately said, "Wh-what's happen' tae me?" He was sure Medea was busy with her hair trouble, but Nick felt his face trouble was more dire.Action - Panic

The Fall Ball (Costume Party)
𓆙 ✭ 𓆙Interecting with Slava Preobrazhensky (@Ruby Cazares) and mentioning @Pericles DraltThe snake-woman stared delightedly at the folds of her floaty dress in the reflective glass. A pair of cunning eyes and a devasting green smile stared back. According to her poisonous perspective, the outfit looked simply slithering. Her only fear was that her date, a certain Russian boy who was probably busy wreaking havoc in the castle above, had also chosen to wear green. Because anyone knew that to the snake-lady, it was fangs forbid they had even remotely similar outfits.
Hissing in fright, the slithery sorceress froze as she felt her cat's fur brush against her ankle. Not because she was afraid that the devious demon's hairs would stick to her tights, but because it was her personal Halloween, night of all things spooky. And wouldn't it be a shame not to allow the castle to instil at least a shiver of fear in her spine? She tugged on her boots and grinned a venomous smile. Halloween, as it happened, was also a prankster's playground.
So when the loveable lethal lady met the life-loving lord in the entrance hall, she shot him a smile that promised pranking. Their night was sure to be filled with mischievous plans to jazz up the other attendees' evenings, but, funnily enough, their first prank was to be inflicted upon themselves. Slava - she almost forgot her propriety in her eagerness to commence - had taken it upon his lordly self to bring along the chain they'd discussed. He wasted no time in binding their wrists together. The sly devil.
The lady's eyes laughed as she opened her mouth to speak. "May I just say that your outfit is-"
Margo let out a startled oof as she tumbled back from her position on the first step of the staircase and fell into a green heap on the floor. Slava, ehem, the lord, had, for some reason unknown to mankind, tried to make his way towards the dungeons. The Lady unsuccessfully tried to turn her giggle into a snort of disappointment. It mostly sounded like she spent her spare time trying to impersonate a pig. No matter. It wasn't as if she’d really had a very dignified reputation in the first place.
After that little fiasco, the lady, as fond as she was of her lover, decided that she would be the one making the directions. Which was why, many minutes and a few collapsed armour stands later, the diabolical duo entered the costume party relatively unscathed.
But they had not misplaced their enthusiasm. The Lady politely stuck her tongue out at their light-haired host as they entered and sang out a ”Hooray!” at the sheer joy of their arrival. She then, keeping in mind the several, armoured casualties on their way up the stairs, slowly approached the food table.
”Together?” She whispered to Slava, quirking a brow towards the Tricky Treats. She took a moment to appreciate the fact that her wig reached slightly higher than his curls and reached forward to take a glass. Savouring the familiar aroma of butterbeer (she really hoped that it existed in Russia because otherwise Slava would cry when he knew what he was missing out on), Margo took a hearty sip.
