The Fall Ball (Masquerade)
Hanako's Morifying Outfit:Reducio
[font=PT Sans]The little moon certainly had her own way of talking back. Where was she when Hanako was bored out of his mind in his 1st year? A junior? That’s a shame. With the way she was carrying herself, there’s certainly would never be a day where he’d be bored if she was there to entertain him - whether or not she wanted to in the first place. He loved the energetic ones the most~.
However, he tilted his head at her answer to his previous question. Forget? Clearly, poking her about it would only add up to the possibility of this ending in hysterical tears. He didn’t do well with crying children, especially those wearing ridiculous costumes. Not that he wanted to dive in deeper. Not anymore now that he thought of a wicked idea to continue this entertaining event without tears.
“ Forgot..そですね..“ he mused “Miscommunication is a relationship killer. Not that I care about your situation but… so then… “ he leaned closer to her, and whispered through her paper bag mask to where her ears maybe and asked: “ Why come here~? If you had a switch up then I can only assume she’s not originally dressed for the costume party? Are you perhaps …stalking~? getting even, maybe ~? “ he chuckled, feeling giddy just at the idea of participating in revenge. そですね = sodesune = is that so
“ Hmmm~. Don’t worry, I don’t judge haha~But... I do like carrying out revenge~. Fills me up with so much joy, honestly. I don’t even know who your little lying friend is but don’t you think she deserves it for this little prank she pulled? I may not be the most creative prankster but I do adore just raining on people’s day~“ He sighed dramatically. When had he felt this happy since 2nd year started? For reasons he was not entirely sure himself, he rejected a part of himself that he thought someone would never gonna ever take away from him? Despite the sticks and the stones, the bombs and the blows? It was then a certain pureblood blondie appeared in his mind that his smile faded slightly. “ .. People who deserve it, of course. “ His voice softened from his creepily enthusiastic tone as he leaned away from the Little Moon’s personal bubble, showing her a gentler smile “What do you say, little moon? Wanna fill this day with sweet memories of vengeance instead~? “
While he may have ulterior motives, he liked to believe he was still on the road to becoming a decent person, even if it’s just a foot in. It was also his lack of forgiveness that played a part in his proposal. It was good that he was willing to help someone else have a taste of sweet revenge on a freshly cleaned silver plate when normally he wouldn’t bother. Who suddenly ‘forgets’ to match costumes anyway?
Hanako watched with curious eyes as the Little Moon poked holes into Paper Bag Chan at where her eyes were and chose to sniffle laughter instead of commenting on it. It was only when she tried her best at a ‘ comeback ‘ that Hanako once again let out a melodious laugh. “ Ohhoho~ already memorizing my scent, are you~? You’re making me shy~” as if the silk fan had been waiting their whole lives for this moment, he fluttered them open and covered half of his face while he looked around with a dramatically shy pose. Like a shy young boy completely affected by the Little Moon’s confessions tinged with sweet words of warm affection for none other than himself. He was better at replies like this than truthful ones. There was no way he’d admit she was spot on about his lack of friends and date- but she didn’t need to know that~
“ So...What do you say to my proposal? You don’t have to be the only one feeling bad. It’s just...making everything ...balanced~” a glint of mischief could be seen in his eyes once more.

The Fall Ball (Masquerade)
It seemed that Hanako was going to continue being a total creep despite everything she'd said. She froze when the older boy came closer to her, pulling her arms up in front of her as an automatic defence. He was like slime, and she didn't like slime. If he dared come any nearer she wouldn't hesitate to give him a firm shove, but he didn't. Even with the paper bag having hidden away any last sections of skin that remained uncovered by her mortifying costume, she could feel him slide up to her ear to try and whisper to her, like the gross, cooties-infested boy he was. He then started speaking another language (damned bilinguals) which she knew she recognised, but wasn't sure where from.
Whatever. Now was not the time to be impressed by him. He was making fun of her and needed to swim on back to whatever sewage plant he came from, the filthy fish boy. She was about to deliver the promised push when he said something that made her stop altogether, her mouth dropping open underneath the bag.
"Why come here~? If you had a switch up then I can only assume she’s not originally dressed for the costume party? Are you perhaps... stalking~? Getting even, maybe~?"
Tina furrowed her brow. Was that what she wanted, deep down? Initially, she reckoned that she'd been unable to suppress her own curiosity, and had convinced herself that she was switching balls to merely get a brief insight into how Starlee's night was going, overall. She had planned to dip in, take a peek and dip out again, and that would be that. Nothing remotely conspicuous or incriminating, and certainly nothing that qualified her for this terrible interrogation. Hanako was still talking, but at this point the Hufflepuff had zoned out, questioning her reasons for coming here more thoroughly.
Had it been envy? No, that couldn't be it. Tina wasn't jealous, or spiteful, or anything like that... right? She was just mad that her supposed best friend had ditched their costume plan, and probably just to stroke her own ego with how pretty she would look at that! Yes, Starlee had looked absolutely beautiful in her dress, there was no questioning that, but that didn't mean Tina envied her. Starlee could go ahead and get all the boys for all she cared! If it wasn't for the paper bag, Hanako would have been able to see a very, very angry little girl, with a bright red face and intense expression. He was right that she wanted revenge, although she wouldn't dare to admit it.
"Ohhoho~ Already memorizing my scent, are you~? You’re making me shy~"
Tina snapped her head up, very glad for her self-made eyeholes as she could now glare angrily at the horrible boy in front of her. He had just offered to help her, she'd thought, and now he was making fun of her again? Who wanted to smell like fish anyway? He was a proper weirdo, if he thought that what she'd said could somehow be taken as a compliment, of all things. She couldn't help but be astounded at the sheer nerve of him, when he continued to push the idea that she should incite revenge on her... frenemy. Tina scowled, contemplating making a third hole for her mouth so that she could bite his face off, or something.
"I am not memorising your scent!" she insisted, stomping one very glittery boot on the floor and snatching the fan out of his hands. She was absolutely furious. "Stop being weird!" She deflated, feeling defeated by the way this was all panning out for her. This was not how she'd anticipated her night going, not at all. And yet...
Well, she was here now, wasn't she? If it would really please him that much to go and sniff out Starlee, and make sure she was having a dreadful time, for whatever reason that may be, then who was she to say no? It was a bit cruel, honestly, but she was cruel to wear that pretty dress when Tina looked like an idiot. Could it really be so awful? Just one, harmless prank...
"We can go, then," she said with some finality, folding her arms (an action which was quite difficult with her choice of outfit, which caved forwards on itself as she did so) and taking a deep breath.
Now, on the business of pranking.
Her nose scrunched up at the thought of being on a 'date' with someone like him, someone who was obnoxious and rude and creepy, but she was certain Starlee would be absolutely raw with jealousy at the thought that Tina had managed to get a boy to go to the ball with her whilst dressed as the moon. Of course, there were important rules that would need to be established. She needed to make sure that Hanako realised this didn't mean she liked him. Not in any way shape or form.
"You are now my date."
Tina said this with such firmness and disgust that it was simultaneously hilarious and quite intimidating.
"But! You aren't allowed to hold my hand at all or do that scary whisper thing, okay?" She gave him one last glare before adding, "My name is Martyna and I'm in Hufflepuff. Remember that. Now we gotta go find her."
With that, she took off into the crowds, expecting him to follow like a loyal dog.

When Rohan joined the hall, he was nervous. He didn't know too many people at Hogwarts just yet, but luckily he had a "date" with another first year, Heather. He'd met her a few days ago, in the common room. He hadn't planned to go to the ball, but he assumed it would be great to meet new people. He wasn't expecting a lot, but could always go to his bed when he had enough.Interactions: @Heather Blair Moretti
Action: Joining the Ballroom
He saw some people he had seen earlier, but none of whom he knew the names. He was quite indifferent while looking for Heather. If he wouldn't find her, if she had broken their appointment, then he would go and sleep. He was very sleepy. The chairs here suddenly looked very attractive to sit on and then maybe nap...? No, he wouldn't leave Heather just looking for him.
He looked around the hall once more, and saw her. She was wearing a mask, just like him, so Rohan didn't recognize Heather immediately. When he walked toward her, he felt a little nervous, mostly because he didn't know the blonde girl very well yet. And he was tired.
"Hey! I've found you, and you found me! What are you up to?" Rohan asked, a little nervously excited. He wanted to go and tell Heather about Quidditch facts, but he'd learned over the few weeks he was at Hogwarts that not everyone could appreciate that, so he kept his mouth shut. Well, not completely shut, as he yawned a little too loudly.

The Fall Ball (Masquerade)

His eyes returning to his date, it seemed she had been held up by a clothing accident. He didn’t envy all the girls who decided to wear big, long dresses, even if they looked stunning when twirled. Not to mention heels… It seemed like navigating an obstacle course with every step. Still, he didn’t have much of an opinion on it either, it was their choice and therefore their own responsibility to account for. He waved it off, his body still catching up to standing still. He was used to the cool down after exercise, but he rarely felt very talkative during it.
The space was filled by Anastasia complimenting the ball itself, seeming to be referring to everything about it. Flash couldn’t really disagree, everything came together well. It was strange, even though he knew the ball was going well, and that the decorations and music were excellent, he couldn’t bring himself to feel very proud of it. He followed Anastasia’s sweeping arm to look out over the gathering and simply felt empty. When he thought about it, most of his friends were likely at the other party. The fun one. He was here because this was where he belonged. What he knew. He couldn’t help but feel like he was back at home in his own ballroom, watching the endless parade of faceless people moving in time like a wind-up toy. The same movements, the same outfits, the same painted on smiles.
”Thanks.” Flash’s eyes unfocused, looking out into the people but seeing nothing.
Before Flash could recollect the mask underneath the mask in order to be more pleasant company, Anastasia was approached by another boy. Flash recognized him from the SWAG game earlier in the year, but he couldn’t say he remembered his name. He rarely did when not formally introduced, unless they were important. He took Anastasia off to the side without saying anything at all, starting to talk to her privately.
Flash was naturally concerned, perking up and watching them intently. The concern slowly drained from him however when he realized he had no place in their conversation. He didn’t really know either of them well enough to come in-between whatever conversation they were having. In fact, he had hoped to learn more about her, become closer to her, yet at the moment of greatest opportunity she was taken away by someone she already knew. Until they were finished, or she signalled that she wanted him, he was alone again.
Alone. It was the last thing he wanted. The dancing people, the orchestral music, the feelings of home… without having felt the pit rising from his stomach, his sweat had turned cold. What was he doing here? What did he think he would get from throwing the perfect ball? That everyone would see how organized and tasteful he was, pat him on the back, love him? Did it really say anything about him at all, or was it just a reflection of his childhood, a reflection of the abilities of his family? Was that all he was, all he would ever be? Another Holmwood, immaculate by all appearances yet rotting on the inside? His breath started to become more shallow as he looked out in the crowd for a face that wasn’t there. Someone… Dmitri. But no, of course he wouldn’t be there. He was smart, he didn’t do things he didn’t want to do out of propriety. Flash could have envied such an ability… to refuse.
No one was going to come save Flash from the panic that was growing inside him, because he went through every effort possible to make sure no one knew it was there. He was alone. So alone. Stuck amidst a sea of blurring speech, Flash started to feel unsure on his feet, and turned around to lean on the table with both hands, gently gripping the tablecloth to try and suppress his emotion. It was happening again. Even with so much noise around him, so many people to distract him, he was having a panic attack. He should leave. He couldn’t leave. He should have fun. He couldn’t have fun. A distraction… distraction… Flash couldn’t talk about it, he needed to run away from it. There was nothing in the world that would ease his troubled mind, the best he could do was keep it preoccupied. If only Dmitri were there…
But nothing would come. No one was there. Knowing he might inadvertently draw attention to himself, he shakily lowered himself into one of the chairs nearby. He had never intended to use them himself, but he was glad they were there. He tried to take longer, slower breaths, while still avoiding the trembling sound of his pained nerves as he breathed them. It would pass, it would only take a moment. Trapped, he looked out into the mass of flesh with cold disinterest. He coped by distancing himself completely, though it only became more difficult as he was encouraged to share his feelings and grow real connections with his peers.
He needed to detach, remember that he was nothing but a shell. A puppet. These feelings were fleeting, and pointless. His loneliness was a useless burden. These were things he had always said to himself, but they were failing to hit their mark. Strings of sentiment resisted the frantic cutting of dull scissors. Still, he didn’t know what else to do. So he sat quietly, doing nothing. At the very least, he didn’t want to make a scene.

The Fall Ball (Masquerade)

Interacting with @Quinn Healy, @Breana Oliveire, @Santario Martin, @Erin Ryan and @Jane Victoria
Things were suddenly moving fast. Breana seemed to forgive Nico's slip up. The dhampir's sleeping schedule still wasn't back on track. Her mind was sometimes abit foggy and her ability to know when to not say something was quite off. 'It really suits you well.'ha funny joke The redhead added once more with a soft yet sad smile. Subconciously she had reminded herself of what had gone down the last time they had a dance. The young Prefect had pretty much decided she didn't want to attend anything organised outside of the watchfull eyes of the Professors. She should've known better back then...
Soon, a familiar face, or voice rather, joined their group. In this castle filled with gingers, as Nico was one of them even if her hair was a hue more red than ginger, not alot of the students she had seen before had quite such a dark hair colour. If she remembered correctly, Nico must've ran into the girl a few times. The tour to the Slytherin Quarters last year and they even stayed in the same Dorm.
'Hiya Santario. You look beautiful aswell this evening.' The redhead couldn't help but blush a little when she received the compliment about her looks. Sure, Santario adressed the entire group, but the dhampir still felt a soft warmth inside her because of it.
Many faces had decided that their group of peers seemed inviting. A sight Nico hadn't seen in a long while, was Jane. 'Oh! Hiya Jane. Been a while since I've seen you. You doing well?' Their encounter at the moving stairs had intertwined their lives and got them to meet each other. She had no bad experiences with Jane, hence why a warm smile came out sincere. The dhampir blinked a few times, surprised by the guts of the greenhaired lass. Right there, with many eyes watching them, they just straight up asked Breana to dance. Bold but dangerous. Her pale fingers tried to hide a genuine, touched smile. There were still gentlemen and ladies in this school. There was still hope.
Breana was quite shocked. Not necesarrily in a bad way. She didn't see it coming. No one did, as far as the prefect could tell.
A warm touch on her shoulder made her straighten her back. She could just about hold back an alerted squeeck before she noticed it was no one else but Quinn. A red cloud of blush appeared on her face as she tried to stay cool. It was only then that she realised that the Ballroom was quite cold. Quinns big hand was more than welcome. But she wouldn't admit that. Atleast not infront of everyone else.
As it would seem, the gingergiant was in quite a good mood. He even found the courage to straight up flirt with another girl in front of her. At first, Nico wasn't sure if she should punch his hip, but he quickly reassured her that he was just being kind. Her eyes flickered to the side real quick, unsure if she should look at Santario to find some sort of response to his compliment...
The decision would be made for her as the mood of the group suddenly dropped immensely.
No one other than, what seemed to be Erin Ryan, with a chair. Attempting to run onto him to land a hit. Quinn would try to block her attack and even took a few steps back from their small group. To... protect them? 'Quinn!' A sense of panic fell over the dhampir as she no longer felt his comforting hand. The tired dhampir was slow to think of anything to stop and was slightly relieved to see San getting in action. What could Nico do though? Anxious, the redhead tried to compose herself and decided to yell at Erin. 'E-Erin! What are you doing?! Leave him alone!' Her words would probably not do much on their own. On every event, it happened that Nico was too afraid to take action. To make a move. She only ran and never attacked something straight on. Well.. she wasn't going to make the same mistake again. She didn't want to see Quinn get hurt. Erin had always been strange to her. Nico didn't hate her. But her instincts were taking over to protect what she cared about. Out of an invisible pocket in her dress (Look, it has pockets!) the young Prefect pulled out her wand and tried her best to aim it at the once purple haired girl. Making the correct wandmovement she yelled: 'Flipendo!' A red dot appearing in both
of her ice blue hues.

"The raven watched as a fair butterfly approached him, and wondered if she knew that souls such as hers had perished by his talons."

The raven looked up as he heard the distinct sound of french, followed by bland English. Upon seeing the butterfly-masked girl before him, he tilted his head.
Selim knew french, but wasn't very proficient in it, in fact, he was still having lessons in french with his linguistics tutor.
His eyes curled up in a hidden, charming smile, and he stored his chopsticks away in his breast pocket. He responded in what little french he knew; "Bonsoir, je m'appelle Selim Faust." (Good evening, my name is Selim Faust) His french accent was a little rough, it was already hard enough juggling his Japanese and English ones. Though, it was a sign that he didn't usually speak french, so it saved him from explaining that fact.
In response to her comment about his 'costume', he chuckled, "Thank you for the compliment, Mademoiselle, you look quite lovely as well." He said lightly, the air around him rather relaxing compared to his rather cold appearance. His eyes glinted lightly in the candlelight, making them warmer. "Comment vous appelez-vous?" (What is your name?)
He honestly would rather go back to scanning the crowd for his target, but he didn't want to look more suspicious than he already did, keeping up his mask was just as important as figuring out the puzzle that was Vladimir Athanatos.
He noted that the girl across from him was likely Beauxbatons, she had that air about her, of elegance. But there seemed to be a little excitement there as well, a hidden gem of childhood.
"How's your stay been?" He asked relaxed, "I do hope Hogwarts hasn't been too unbecoming." His tone lilted with amusement, voice, trickling out like a small stream across rocks, though echoed in the ivory mask like the whispers of the dead.
He was a haunting figure, that was for sure, death itself swaddled in a black suit, pale, thin face covered by the skull of The Raven. Almost as if he would speak out a dark poem that whispered eerily off the walls of the ballroom.
To Selim, the bodies moving about in the party were more like whispy spirits, not warm bundles of flesh and life. To him, every human he saw, was already dead, how else would one cope with ending a life? Perhaps ending more?
To survive the way he did, he had to see everyone as lifeless, so that when they truly die, it won't hurt as much.
The spirits danced about to the music, each wearing a mask even after death, each keeping their own secrets behind lace and porcelain. He spotted one other person with a mask of bone, not recognizing them without their purple hair.
'Dead'.
She was already labeled, they all were. He was the silent spectator who struck unexpectedly, chained to the souls, the black, tainted souls of his family.
On the inside, he was dead, on the outside, he wore an expression of life.
Truly a masterful mask.

The Fall Ball (Masquerade)
Amelia listened intently to what the other girl had to say, she could see that she was nervous and Amelia couldn't blame her, "I can kind of dance," she says, "although I'm not very good. It's not something I'm that interested in. I enjoy sports more, like football, it's a muggle sport and it's incredibly fun. I'm a Half-blood, so I get the best of both worlds," she laughs, "but that's besides the point, so to answer your question, yes I can kind of dance, but it also looks like someone cast tarantellegra on me."
Amelia glanced down at the older witches hand, she was holding some sort of fan, ”I hope this isn't rude, but what's that?" Amelia asks, curiosity getting the better of her. She pointed at the fan the girl was holding. The Hufflepuff thought of asking the girl what had happened at the last ball (she had heard rumors that absolute mayhem had broken out, but she didn't know if it was true), considering she was a third year which meant she most likely went to it or heard about it but she didn't want to bombard the girl with questions, so she kept it to herself. Maybe she could ask her later on in the evening if she got the chance.

Interacting with @Amelia FayeSHE LAUGHED A LITTLE AT AMELIA'S DANCING COMMENT. "I grew up in the muggle world, but I never had much taste for sports," she said, a tinge of sheepishness edging into her words. She was slowly getting a bit more comfortable with the conversation. She continued to tap the fan, however, if only to take care of her adhd. It definitely wasn't because she couldn't stop.
Upon being asked about the tessen, she momentarily stopped. Holding it up so she could see it, she thought about the answer. "Ehm... it's a type of weapon. A fan weapon, tessen. It's got like, steel plates or something." She opened it, revealing the aforementioned steel. "I've heard about what happened at the last balls, so I thought I'd come prepared.
" She gave a sort of sheepish smile.
She went back time to tapping her wrist. It was getting a bit sore, if she was being honest, but she wasn't going to stop. She didn't really know what to say. "I wish I knew what'll happen. It seems like these school balls are magnets for trouble. Of course, that probably doesn't reassure you about coming..." The girl trailed off.FOR MODERATION:

Paisley stuck out her tongue in disguist, her eyes still laughing as she was whisked onto the dance floor once again. She was glad Sarah liked the joke so much, it had surprised her. I guess someone else gets my sense of humor too! Is there anything really wrong with the world? at that moment, the young Gryffindor wasn’t sure there was.
“I don’t like anything that involves the word ‘tart’ although this school thinks otherwise. Has a meal ever gone by without some sort of tart or another?” she went on jokingly, and although her words sounded as if she were complaining, she was really just stating her mind. “it’s funny, I’ve actually had this conversation before with-“ She was surprised as someone approached the two girls, and it was in fact the person whom she was about to mention. “Hi!” she said, still dancing. The two people she trusted most where right next to each other, during what could possibly be the best night of her life. Lets just hope it doesn’t all go tumbling downhill. it was a true wish, she had been to enough muggle school gatherings to know that something was bound to happen at some point, and she didn’t want to be involved when it did. These things never went by without a turning point, she knew that much. As long as I don’t die...
Paisley was brought back to the present and she realized she hadn’t introduced the two to each other, and she had to fix it immediately. She wanted to diffuse any tension before it had a chance to emerge, so she spoke quickly. ”oh, Allie, this is my friend, Sarah. Sarah, this is Allie. I hope you two can become good friends.” she looked at Allie fondly, and then turned to Sarah with the same look in her eyes. She truly loved them both, and her look encompassed that. Goodness, we have the whole crew! We just need Dipper and Akari, and it’ll be the full Hogwarts experience. A housemate, a close friend, a rival and a second year. Gosh! Accept, maybe not Wren.

August nodded, interested in what Lydia had to say sincerely. He was going to respond, but the silence that followed the compliment made him hesitate. He felt he was fairly good at reading people, but this time he had no idea what was going on inside his dancing partner's head. Whatever she was thinking, her thoughts weren't pleasant, and he left it alone for the time being, so as not to be nosy. They were here simply do dance, that was all. But what if I upset her....
"Quite alright. I would love to meet your sister one day, if and when the time comes. In regards to my siblings, I'm afraid it's neither, I'm right in the middle of two sets of twins. It's hard getting a moment alone, although thankfully I have my painting corner to myself. Quite frankly I love to paint, it's my passion." he paused. "Do you have a passion? It would be awfully sad if you didn't, but I suppose it would just be another chance to find one. That's half the fun of liking something, don't you think? Getting to discover it." he started to dance a little faster, glad that he had the spooky music guiding his feet. At that moment he hadn't a care in the world, and he wanted to do his best to inflict that feeling upon Lydia. She was seemingly troubled, and that worried August more than anything else.
"I apologize, if what I said before bothered you." he said. An apology was hard to come by with him at times, but now he felt compelled to speak his sorry mind.

Coding inspired by Rafael D'SpacitoSsomething about Flash seemed somewhat off, but before Ana could put her finger on what it was or even say anything, someone grabbed her wrist. Due to the fact that punching people at a ball wasn't exactly socially acceptable, she gave whoever it was the courtesy of a look before telling them off. She sighed slightly when she saw it was Eyre. Was he honestly that annoyed by her tripping his raggedy clumsy date? "Sorry, just a moment," she told Flash as Eyre dragged her off. She struggled furiously, but the two had been too far too many events that had involved Eyre dragging Ana way from someone she had tripped, threatened, or insulted for it to do anything.
"I swear to God, let go of me this instant," Ana hissed in her most prim, mean girl voice. Despite the fact it had been almost a month since their blow up, speaking to him like he was any other person that was at most beneath her notice and at worst an irritation felt completely wrong. She continued to twist as violently as she could without causing a scene. If he didn't let go soon, she was going to seriously reconsider her commitment to not ruining everyone's night by punching someone in the face.
He finally loosened his grip slightly and she indignantly pulled her wrist from his grasp and rubbing it woundedly. She arched an unimpressed eyebrow at his words. "I haven't the faintest idea what you're talking about," she said, continuing to rub her wrist. The fact that Eyre was blocking her way back to the dance floor and her date and the only thing behind her was the wall made her feel trapped. Not a feeling she particularly enjoyed. With one final resentful rub of her wrist, she crossed her arms and met his gaze.
His words stung and she glared at him. There was absolutely no way in hell she was about to satisfy him by letting him see how much that stung. Glancing around the room, she desperately wished she could telepathically signal someone else to make a scene at the same time. Or anything out of the ordinary, just so she could cause some sort of reason to end whatever the hell this was.
As she had learned in the Owlery, it wasn't much of a question who would prevail in a physical conflict and she knew with absolute certainty that pulling out her wand and hexing him would end badly. Her only options were to utilize the dagger under her skirt, use her brilliant (and unfortunately non-existent) mind communication powers to signal for someone to cause a massive distraction or deal with this conversation. Stabbing him was clearly a non-option, after all, she just wanted his girlfriend dead, not him. Rafa, Ruby, and Amara all seemed occupied with their respective dates, and additionally, her mental powers weren't actually something that existed, so that ruled out her second option. For the moment, she had no other choice than to deal with this uncomfortable confrontation.
"Are you mad?" she scoffed when he was done. "What, do you think my entire fucking life revolves around you? To the extent where I would risk ruining my own night as well as my date's for what? For a practical joke?" Never mind the fact that she had done almost exactly that, she was highly offended that Eyre thought she would. "What the hell do you want from me? I've left you alone, I apologized to your spectacularly clumsy carrot top because I was trying not to be an ass, and you accost me?"
She was leaving some crucial bits out, but she wasn't exactly lying. That seemed to be her specialty - twisting details to suit her without technically lying. She was rather disgusted with herself, especially since Eyre had a point. Being disgusted with herself was a very un-Ana sentiment, and it was one that seemed a constant lately. God, why was she like this? Why couldn't she just be peaceful and avoid people that didn't like her? Why did she constantly have to ruin everything for everyone?
Long story short, I survived
