Field Day | Sponge Pass
The 'fit
Ana managed not to get soaked again, not that it did much good. She was freezing cold, and the winds weren't helping. She had to finish winning this and then go inside and drink a lot of hot coffee. Soup sounded good too. Generally, she hated soup. Mainly because she thought it was disgusting that it couldn't decide whether it was a drink or food, but also because it was rather boring. Still, even boring soup sounded better than the cold. Pumpkin or squash soup sounded good. Ana liked pumpkins in general, and if she was going to eat soup, she vastly preferred something hearty with a bit of a personality to the pathetic and in her opinion, weak brothy soups. Why was it soup was a cold-weather food? How were there not superior cold-weather foods? Summer brought ice cream and watermelon, and to Ana, spring meant those lovely little finger sandwiches at garden parties. But cold weather failed everyone by bringing the disgusting soupy mess that was soup.
The game continued and it was far closer than she would have liked. If she was going to be soaked to the bone, freeze to death, and worst of all, waste her time thinking about soup, then she wasn't about to lose this. It hardly seemed right. Granted, a lot of things in her life didn't seem right, such as her mother being dead.

Field Day | Sponge Pass
── ❋ ──Mentioning Team𝓐madea held her breath as she watched her teammates pass the sponge along the line until finally reaching its destination. Not having control of the entire situation was starting to stress out the Hufflepuff especially since the other team was catching up. Despite her normally friendly and calm demeanor, Amadea was feeling quite competitive at the moment. She wanted to win...not only for the bragging rights but also for the prizes that Willow and Ami were offering.
They could do this though; even though they had lost some water from the last round the other team had lost some as well. As long as the team kept focused and got as much water in each sponge pass as they could, then they were well on their way to clinching the title. Amadea cheered and clapped her hands along as she waited for the next round to begin. Staying spirited and upbeat was just as important as performing well. If her team lost it's enthusiasm, it would make it a lot easier for the other team to win. Amadea pushed her hair behind her ear, wanting to be fully focused on the task at hand: passing the sponge. Team One could win this!Action: Normal pass

Open to interactions!River lifted the sponge back out of the water, noticing how she’d finally gotten some better amount of liquid than the previous time. Perhaps it was her excitement of finally managing something in this game or perhaps it was her stress over not ruining it that caused a bump in the road. Or maybe you could call it a whirlpool in the water. Either way, her eyes shut as she felt a splash of water hit the crown of her head and run down her face soaking her hair and most of her shirt. Her shoulder rose to her ears in surprise, and she quickly sent the sponge onward to the next person to free her hands. Reaching up, she wiped her eyes of the water and grabbed a bunch of her hair followed by twisting it to squeeze as much of the water out as she could.
And there she was, honestly thinking she could make it through the whole game without becoming the victim of H2O, but oh no, how could she have been so naive. Not only was she soaked, but it wasn’t exactly the warmest of temperatures outside. She felt a chill run up her spine and reach the base of her neck as she tried to get her focus back onto the objective. Beating the other team. Noticing they were catching up she couldn’t help but scold herself more for losing so much of their water that round. Perhaps it could have been their chance to win.
Oh well, it was only a game, about… sponges. Losing wouldn’t be the worst thing to have happened to any of them as far as she could imagine.Action: Normal Pass

Okay, so maybe this wouldn't end as horribly as Cecily had first suspected. Apparently, River was well-versed in the techniques of sponges, and managed to fill it as much as she possibly could. Cecily was ecstatic for a moment-- until, to her dismay, a torrent of water flooded down upon River's head. Although it killed their chance of a quick shot to victory, Cecily couldn't help but let out a laugh at the scene, although immediately cut the sound short, clearing her throat. She was just glad that such a downpour of cold water had yet to be unleashed upon her own head. She would like to stay dry and warm, thank you very much. The smile refused to fade from her face, though.
Grabbing the sponge, River's debacle fresh in her mind, she swung it over her head as quickly as possible, while still being careful to retain the water they had left. The last thing they needed right now was to lose more water, especially when it was either team's game right now. But Team 2 had really made a comeback, and Cecily was proud. If they could catch up to the other team this quickly, they could steal a win in no time.action: quick pass

Willow was just kind of confused at this point. She genuinely thought they would get better as the game went on but it only seemed to kind of get mildly worse. At this point the entire first team was soaked, with Anastasia being soaked twice. Only River had gotten wet on the second team but that didn't really mean much being that they consistently barely got anything in the sponge anyway. Willow suddenly felt bad about keeping the events a secret, maybe she should've warned them to wear water safe clothes. Rather most of them were now cold in wet in the fall of Scotland with nothing to change into unless they walked all the way back to their dorms.
She wandered over to the buckets to see how they were doing, and they were both relatively close. With the last sponge pass through the teams, Willow decided to call it so no one else got wet and upset. "Alright! Just to prevent anyone else having a risk of pneumonia I'll end the game here as Team 1 is basically there and Team 2 is... well. You guys did your best and that's all that matters!" She smiled sheepishly, handing out the rewards to the team. "Thank you guys for participating, it really means a lot to me. I hope that even though you got wet you had a good time." After speaking to any one who may approach her, she packed up the stuff and headed off to the main tug of war event.Outfit Ref ||
