Professor Finley's announcement jerked Andrew's attention, spurring his excitement again. Yes! Movie time! His sugar rush was bound to knock him out in an hour or so. Best he find something soft to lie down in, when that happened.

"Oh! Movie's about to start. I'll -uh- take my rat back, now." After hastily wiping his hands on his pants to rid them of any excess crumbs, Andrew would gingerly butt into [Barret's] petting session and scoop Penelope into his arms, reclaiming his pet. "Nice meeting you." He'd excuse himself with a polite smile at [Barret], before joining Dan and heading over the movie area, where Andrew would plop himself in a bean bag cushion, snuggling with Penelope in a fleece blanket he covered his lap with. The rat had had her fill of treats for one night, though her head would frequently turn in Loki's direction, nose twitching at the wafting aroma of the salmon chews. Andrew was mindful to keep one hand secured to Penelope's pelt, fingers at the ready to restrain her, in case she darted unexpectedly.

"Haven't seen this one before," Andrew whispered to Dan, eyes flicking at the screen in anticipation for the film to start. "Nosferatu… Heard the name in a SpongeBob episode once - you know, the guy flicking the lights? - Oh! 'Hash-Slinging Slasher', that was the episode! Heh, should've dressed up as him, instead." He chuckled, imagining himself with a fake hunchback and spatula for a hand. How many kids at Hogwarts knew about SpongeBob? "There was the part at the end when the light switch was flicking on and off, and it was a black-and-white guy -like from those oldie films- doing it, and they all called him 'Nosferatu'," he recapped quickly, before focusing his thoughts on the movie that was about to play. "I wonder what it's about?"

After a long night of collecting candy, Paisley was ready to sit down and relax, along with getting her socks scared off in the process. She had rubbed her forehead so hard that surely the "Greedy" message was worn off. I wonder what movie we're going to watch. Hocus Pocus, maybe? It's strange how I don't get to see that with my parents this year. It's practically a tradition. she continued on through the halls, taking care not to touch the candles, although when she did she was glad to see they too had been cast with a spell so as not to burn the students. I do wonder what's going on here...all this talk of hags...fires...one would think it wasn't safe! Indeed it wasn't, but our young Gryffindor friend didn't know this. All she knew was that she was ready to sit down, because her boots were highly uncomfortable.

Walking in through the large ballroom doors, the movie that was being spoken about was not what she had expected, even though it was Halloween, and she very well should've. It was something terror-filled, that was for sure. Nosferatu. she shuddered, although she had no idea what it was about, or what the monster looked like, for that matter.

She heard annoucements of the movie starting, and she hurried into a seat, muttering to herself as she went. "A horror movie...oh gosh...I guess I should've known...I'm going to scream in front of the whole school" she silently prepared herself, her muscles already clenching. She'd never seen a horror film of any sort, and she didn't think she needed to. She was easily frightened as it was, and watching a movie of monsters and ghouls jumping out at her wouldn't help her dillema. I suppose I'm living the life of one anyways. What does it matter to me? It's not like its really real. It's just a stupid fantasy made by muggles who think they know what they're talking about. Unless it's a true story...

With this mindest she sat herself down on a large pile of pillows and took a piece of candy out of her pocket, crunching down on it. She hadn't limited herself with how many sweets she consumed, and she was feeling rather jittery. She peered around, realizing she was sitting in almost the exact spot she had confessed her curse. Wow, that seems like so long ago... she was lost in drifting thoughts of the ball, perhaps they were good, perhaps not. She looked around at the kids who were making quite a noise and shushed them.

Katrina had finally arrived in the Ballroom. She was dressed up as a dragon with realistic purple wings, and a matching dress and pendant. Her hair was even curled for the night, something that she rarely put any effort into. She had Boomerang at her side and a heavy bag of sweets and was inwardly hoping there would be more in the Ballroom, because it was Halloween, it’s all about the Treats. She had thankfully suffered no Tricks so she wandered through the decked out hallway in no rush.

Katrina had a respect for the Professors who had managed so set up this whole event with no one seeing. It was a feat not to be ignored. The walls were draped with cobwebs and spiders and flickering candles framed the pathway to the main room. The dim mutterings of a movie already started is was urged Katrina a bit faster.

The main room was just as decorated. Katrina took a moment to soak it all in before beelining to the candy table. Before she got there, however, she was faced with the option of a treat bag, Katrina chose the bat one and finished to stretch to the candy table. The Third-Year took a little more than was necessary and placed it in her bag before finding a spot in the pillows.

She constructed a little pillow fort like this but without the stockings, and curled up inside to watch the movie. Periodically, Katrina would munch on some candies, or shuffle around to make more room for Boomerang, but overall it was a comfortable and exciting night.

From teal quills and chocolate kisses to bubbling cauldrons to gummy candies and Jupiter Cake Pops it was a wonderful spook-tacular night. It had been a long while since Katrina had been able to completely relax and truly enjoy herself. She always spent so much time worrying about something going wrong or someone getting hurt that she never really got to just relax and be a kid. This was just what she needed. A simple repose from the chaos of life.

As Katrina settled in, she really started to enjoy the meaning of relax as the sugar high took it’s toll. She slowly drifted to sleep in her pillow fort, only to wake up at the end of the movie…. Whoops. But it didn’t look like anyone saw, so Katrina pretended it didn’t happen and saved the rest of her candy to enjoy later.

Henry was glad the two were getting along but he forgot that they didn't know each other but luckily they made a quick introduction. Henry smiled as he now noticed that he was sitting between the two girls that even though he didn't show it, he was a bit awkward as he listened to both Logan's and Miranda's experiences with movies. Henry probably had the weirdest since his family didn't own a TV and his father didn't allow them to go to the muggle movies, Henry and his siblings lived in the dark for much of their life until a few summer holidays ago Arthur took him and his twin to a local movie theater to watch black panther, Henry thought it was a superhero boy but it was still confusing to him.

Henry smiled as he remembered the thought before speaking " Disney? Uh aren't they a enterprise or something? I just remember when I was younger a muggle friend used to talk about Disneyland or something," Henry remembered when he wrote to Natasha about it and for some reason he really wasn't paying attention on where the girl was. Yes they were pen pals as kids but they had different view points on everything so it was kind of annoying now that he thought of it to keep his thoughts in his head.

Henry then spoke again " I'm foggy in the area to Miranda but I uh do know a bit from when I was younger a summer holiday Arthur took us to the uh movie theater I think to see uh black panther I think. It was interesting I guess," Henry smiled a bit as he looked down awkwardly before looking back at up and saying " so how was your Halloween been Logan so far?"

Well, that certainly wasn't the reaction she had been looking for. If a pitiful glance could even be considered an reaction. Xailah would watch her bird from across the room, with a quizzical stare. "What's his problem?" She would ask, to no one in particular. Both companion and mistress would exchange suspicious glances. Not that Schrödinger had any idea- or understood a thing of what was being said. In fact he wasn't even aware that Bright-Haired-Boy, had, or was having what his lady called a 'problem'. What he was aware of though, was the fact that Bright-Haired-Boy was not visiting and giving belly rubs. Maybe that was what concerned his mistress? Was that the problem? No belly rubs? Schrödinger thought it was. Made perfect sense to him.

Xailah would continue observing from a distance. She carefully noted the unusual mannerisms, and the body language the Ravenclaw was displaying. There was something about him that made him look as if he wanted to hide. Mayhaps it was the quickly adverted gaze from earlier. She wasn't certain. The gaze... Was the boy trying to avoid something? The Gryffindor looked around, for something that would have triggered such a response; but she would find nothing of interest. Maybe he was simply feeling ill? Eh. It was possible- but so was just about everything else she had thought of- which wasn't much. Having used up all her educated guesses for the night, she would turn her attention from the boy, with a dissatisfied buzz. This would not do. No sir.

The thought of the ink, being the culprit of his avoidance, had not crossed her mind. All the tricks were in good humor. Were they not? Slivers of yellow, would dart back to where the boy and the Librarian stood. Xailah would bring a free hand up, to rest on her hip; as she watched the boy depart from the amber-haired woman, and make his way towards the Gryffindor. He would not give her his usual greeting. He would instead claim that she had mocked him. Mocked him? Mocked him?! If anything she had been laughing with him, not at- okay so maybe she laughed at him, but further upsetting him was not her intention. It never had been. Never would be. The flaccid quill presented before her would be met with a look of mild surprise. Oh now thats just sad. She watched the way it flopped, and trembled miserably, in the bird's hand. She peered at the eaglet. It was awfully sweet of him to try and get one for her. A tender smile played on her lips, as she gingerly plucked the little gift from Pericles pale fingers. With the mulberry feather in hand, she leaned over and- aggressively (but oh so gently) bopped him on the nose with the quill. "Don't-" Bap. "Call-" Bap. "Me-" Bap. "Numpty." Bap. She was obviously playing, but to make sure he knew she meant no real harm; the feather would be brushed under his chin, to tickle him. "But I do sssuppose I deserved that." The Gryffindor would admit.

Pericles declaration that she shouldn't call him by his surname, caused a single brow to curve into a sharp arch. "Pericles." She deadpanned. "I have been addressing you as Dralt for the past six months. Why are you telling me this now?" Had that silly little trick, upset him that much? Or had he always felt that way, and was simply too polite to say anything about it? "That joke really bothered you didn't it?" Her mouth crooked to one side in a displeased manner. "Well, if you're the greedy one, then I must be part dragon." She frowned, before reaching a clawed hand into her satchel. She would produce three suckers, all of which had been taken from the Astronomy area. She would try to hand him one of the two Earths she had taken. "If its any compensation for your troubles, I think it was very thoughtful of you, to get a quill for me. You really didn't have to do that." Her frown would pull itself up a little- not into a smile, but something close to one. His gesture was a small one; but she appreciated it nonetheless. "Will you be ssstaying to see the moving picture? I think Schrödinger would like for you to keep him company, and help build a fort for him." She claimed, nodding to the boy. Xailah had seen a couple other students building small structures out of the pillows and blankets that were laying about; and had wanted to do the same. "He would build one himself, but I'm afraid he does not have the thumbs to do so."

Well, Piérre’s little adventure in the realms of Trick or Treating was finally concluded, and with a sigh, he finally took off the black silk mask that he had donned for nearly the entire trip around the whole school. He had been busy as a bee, and his adventure had paid off; a bucket full of candy helped in a Jack O Lantern gave testament to that. At this point, however, though he was usually quite energetic, on a night like this, it was only fitting that the clown took his rest, allowing others to take on the mantle of the jester. For now, Piérre was content to sit alone and relax for once, quietly nibbling on his candy.

Naturally, he would start with chocolate frogs, busting them open and collecting the cards within. He was aspiring to collect every card for his already rather extensive collection. He had even received double of cards already! Yet... there was a long way to go, and so it laid upon Piérre’s ambitious shoulders to collect and own every card that there was.

Of course, Piérre had brought Figaro here as well, and his silver Bengal was all entwined around his legs, purring and meowing insistingly at his brother and begging for the boy to drop a morsel of candy. ”Uh-no... You eat that candy and you will get very sick, Figaro, and I got to be responsible for you no matter what. I’m your brother, after all, right?” Piérre picked his cat up and rubbed noses with the Bengal, earning a surprised meow from his kitten. Well, Piérre couldn’t really call Figaro a kitten anymore... indeed, the cat was almost coming up in his first birthday, which would be taking place in December. Piérre vowed that he would have the best birthday party ever for his cat when the time came; even better than his own parties.

Glancing around the room, Piérre noticed the people interacting with others. A part of him wanted to walk up and say hi, but another part of him wanted to stay seated and focus solely on the movie. Regardless of if he had seen it before... he loved a good movie. He settled instead for picking at the collar of his costume, which was the one that he had also utilized for the Masquerade Ball weeks prior. May as well get as much use out of it before the newness of it wore away.

When the movie was over, Piérre would be found fast asleep, curled up in a ball with his candy pressed to his chest and Figaro guarding him by laying on his brother’s back...

Indeed, the boy seemed all sorts of off-kilter. He hadn't even acknowledged how handsome Schrödinger looked as a pumpkin, nor acknowledged the feline at all, and even called Xailah a word! It wasn't an especially awful word. In fact, numpty was on the sillier side as far as endearments go. Yet the moment it left his lips, he regretted it (besides "bird", guilt seemed to be his theme tonight), and Pericles would accept his bops with quiet capitulation. Since when was he terse towards her ribbing? Why bother batting away his surname now? Eyes were closed and expression rueful as it harmlessly flopped against his freckled nose, though when it wobbled under his chin, a feeble smile was summoned. "I'm sorry Xailah," Peri relented, that abnormal impatience gone as if it had never been there at all. He rubbed away the lingering tickles with the back of his hand. "I shouldn't mind and oughtn't have called you a name. I'm out of sorts."

"That joke really bothered you didn't it?"
Unease permeated the smile, dwindling it down to an unsettled line. The boy bobbed his head, shrugged his shoulders, and murmured meekly- a truly weird amount of submission for one so often steady and sure- "You know what it's like, I'm sure. There are... behavioral expectations, we are meant to meet?" The sentence was structured as a question. There had been ample distractions- hags, plots, investigations, schemes, secret duels. So many mysteries they had traversed together, and yet their home lives remained the greatest mystery of all. It was poor form to outright ask a pure-blood wix about their familial beliefs or home lives. There were only speculations between them thus far, educated assumptions. Xailah had a sister. Was she the heir then? Was she, too, intended to uphold some sort of legacy or other? He wouldn't ask those things, though they were woven into that not-so-subtle line. "It just troubled me to hear it from an adult. Well, a quill enchanted by an adult, but Miss Finley didn't really mean any harm. It was silly of me to be so bothered." She likened herself to a dragon when it came to taking things, but again, Pericles pretended not to notice with a wave of his hand and a mumbled "Nonsense". It was polite not to notice.

Granted, it was difficult to do so when she revealed the spoils of her draconic pillaging. Pericles considered the three suckers with a rounded gaze, very vividly recalling the ONE ONLY sign from the Astronomy orery. Then he laughed, a short huff of amusement, which opened the damn for a flow of light snickering. The boy shook his head and accepted an Earth, grin growing while he wagged it at the wily witch. "You are a poor influence, Xailah Alptraum," he declared. This didn't deter him from tucking it into a cheek for an unattractive bulging effect. She hadn't needed to share anything with him, either, though it seemed fitting for the spirit of All Hallow's Eve. Two mischievous children reaping ill-gotten rewards and indulging in the light of a horror movie projector. "Yes, I'd like to stay. I haven't seen a movie in ages. Do you recognize the title...?" Nosferatu. Pericles, still acting odd, sounded uncharacteristically cautious. Maybe he just didn't like scary movies, though it was an irregular amount of wariness for one who had charged the Forbidden Forest and joined an unauthorized duelist's club in his first year.

Still, she had given him additional incentive, aside from the joys of candy, company, and a movie. "I'd be more than happy to accommodate one of my favorite felines." With babying affection, the lad at last sought to mend his mistake, reaching to stroke Schrödinger atop the head and along his back. "Athena doesn't have the patience for these things- I nearly brought her along, but she lost interest in trick-or-treating halfway up the Astronomy tower." Pericles adored the Siamese, though she was fiercely independent, perhaps excessively at times. She did not care to be carried on the best of days. In contrast, Schrödinger was a relenting lump Peri was free to pamper as he pleased.

As the bickering started Ileen rolled her eyes, felling her impatience rising. This little childish back and forth between her best friend and the Slytherin had been annoying her for a while now and she couldn’t wait for the weird situation to be solved by either an escalation or a reasonable discussion. The only issue was that both involved parties seemed to take it on a different level – while Dee was normally mainly amused by it, Percival took it to heart and seemed to really hate the Ravenclaw. And Ileen? She was somewhere in between to act as a buffer, just like she had been on her way to Muggle Studies.
With a groan, she picked up a pack of M&Ms and tore them open with a devastating look directed at her two companions. “Hey. Could you please try to not instantly fight? Just for me?” She took out a blue M&M and aimed it at her best friend, who was in a really bad mood today and thus showed herself from her very insensitive side. “And rude. I’m a pure blood as well.
The blue candy hit Dee at the shoulder and fell to the ground with a clacking sound. She also threw a punishing glance at the sheet to make Percival understand that insolent remarks on his part would also be punished with candy bombardment before turning around and walking towards the stairs. “Come on,” she would call over her shoulder with a slight shake of her head.

Ileen couldn’t help but keep wondering what was wrong with Dee’s and Percival’s relationship – and one thing was clear for sure: Both were not happy tonight. Well, Ileen intended to change that. Dee had cheered her up countless times and Percival had joined her when she had been alone so tonight, she would try to make it up to them. Of course, the combination of them made it a whole lot harder but maybe it was meant to be for them to finally solve their problem. Walking upstairs to the next destination which would be the Ballroom, Ileen decided to stay a buffer until they would reach a safer area with less opportunities to fall down.
So, she slowed down to walk between them. “I can’t say I’m sorry your friends lost you. Good for us.” With a cheeky grin on her lips she looked back at Percival. “Whose bedsheet did you steal?” Her brown eyes sparkled with curiosity and malicious glee since the chances were quite good that it had belonged to someone she didn’t like.

Cade climbed the stairs up to the fourth floor. He could hear loud voices from the hall so he assumed the party was already underway. Picking up the pace with a little excitement he reached the entrance to see a fog-ridden tunnel. It looked incredibly spooky, but he knew there was no safer place than somewhere that was set up for his entertainment. Despite that though, he was thankful for the candles that lit the way. Trodding carefully as not to light his bedsheet ghost costume ablaze, he continued into the room.

He noticed immediately the number of people that had arrived. The varying costumes giving him delight, everyone was so creative with their costumes. His was a very last minute resort. He almost wished he'd planned more when it came to his costume. He promised himself he'd make more effort next year. Or whenever there was an event he'd have to dress for. But Cade didn't mind, he made his way immediately to the snack table to see what candies and treats they had to eat. He had built up quite the appetite going up all those stairs. Who was he kidding? Cade could eat at all times.

Cade noticed there were goodie bags at the table. A spider, ghost, bat, and mummy. Why not stick to the theme? Cade grabbed the ghost bag and a couple of other snacks before turning to admire the decor. Whoever decorated did a fantastic job of it. There were spiderwebs everywhere! For a moment Cade wondered if they had brought in acromantulas to decorate for them. He snickered at the crazy thought. No way, that was way too dangerous not to mention, where in the world would they get acromantulas? Cade very much doubted there were any on the grounds.

Before settling down to watch the film, Cade spotted the librarian working the projector. He made his way forward hoping she could tell him how to get rid of the quill's message. It wasn't hard for him to get her attention. Making sure to stand out of the way for the beam of light projecting the movie he tapped her arm.

"Excuse me, but could you help me with the--" He pointed at his forehead with clear embarrassment. He was glad she couldn't see his face under the sheet. He'd turned red. It was bad enough facing the punishment, but admitting mistakes and confronting the teacher was another level.

Serena enters thread from Astronomy Tower
With her candy in her hands, hidden underneath her cloak, Serena pushed open the doors to the ballroom with her shoulder. Her costume was literally just her in an invisibility cloak, with her head on display - so that it would look like a floating head. On her face, she had a bit of red lipstick dotted onto her cheeks to look like blood - albeit very fake blood.

The Hufflepuff looked around the decorated ballroom in surprise. It was pretty nice. A grinned formed on her lips as she noticed that the professors had also dressed up for the occasion. She took some treats from the table and found a seat as soon as the Librarian announced they were starting a movie. Serena quickly made herself comfortable on the ground, surrounded by a few pillows and cushions. She wrapped herself in a blanket too - so that she was both sitting on it but also it wrapped around her and burrito-ed her within its warmth. After all, the castle was - in general - a tad bit colder as the temperature outside dropped.

One hand reached out of the burrito blanket as she snuggled back into a pillow. It picked up some candy, which she started to nom on whilst the movie started. Serena had also gotten herself a glass of lemonade for later too.

Apparently they were going to be watching some sort of muggle movie. These were not very something that the girl grew up with, being raised in a pureblood household. She was rather excited to spend time learning more about them. They had come up in a muggles studies lesson once.

Serena blinked as she watched the movie. The whole screen was... black and white. It felt like she was just looking at a very long photo. Random people - was that even a person on the screen? - moving around. It was like watching a portrait or photo move for... how many hours had they been here?

She had no idea how long it had been but she had finished up her drink and most of her candy before the end. Not wanting to get out of her burrito blanket, Serena did not bother to refill her glass. Students around her were talking. She had no idea about what but she could hear hushed words being spoken around the room. There was a moment where she had to wonder if perhaps she needed to be more sociable. She realised that she knew very few people outside of her own house or friendship groups. But at the very least, there was no one around to distract her from the movie. She watched with interest - fascinated by muggle concepts more than some of her relatives were, that was for sure.

"Thank you for organising today, it was fun!" Serena spoke to the Librarian with a huge grin on her face, once the movie had finished. She made her way back to the common room shortly thereafter, accompanied by one of the members of staff that organised the event. She had no idea how she was going to sleep after eating so much candy but there was perhaps a little bit of time to relax before bedtime. Plus... there was also a bit more candy to polish off before bed, right?!
