Plans for The Dance
With the upcoming dance about the dance, the idea of trying to get a "date" from one of the girls or guys or...
Ugh. The whole thing made Remi's head hurt a little bit from thinking about all of the older kids smooching disgustingly loud, large sprinkling dress and suits.
And you know what sucks? With Remi's big mouth from writing to his parents about his recent Qudditch postion as Keeper, he brought up about the dance and now his parents were getting their boy a custom fit suit in the style of Ivorian parties and such.
The only mental image in his head was... scaring.
He wanted something simple but sleek. Maybe not have everyone look at him when he walked in the fall dance but something impressing.
Oh well, with him walking a little bit within the Courtyard in his free-time. Remi had a small note-book on what he needed for the speical potion he'll *ahem* offer to the children of the dance. It would be a simple prank but he wasn't planning on spending time in detention either.
Though, he would need the plants to make it happen. Then, something caught his eye or someone?
Getting up and walking forward with some hesistant on not walking up to someone he thought he knew, is it really him...?

Thankful for the break in the clouds, Sylvain basked in the warm sunlight of the courtyard. It wasn't often that he chose to come here to read, but it was a particularly pleasant fall afternoon and he was comforted by cool breezes and spooky stories.
Frowning as the sunlight disappeared behind another puffy cumulus cloud, Syl slipped a marker in his book to save his place. Leaning against the wall, Sylvain slipped down from on high, attempting to re-enter the afternoon traffic of the busy courtyard.
Pulling his satchel up over his side, the lad scanned the student Hub of Hogwarts for familiar faces. While the usual crowd of characters passed by, there were notably more that he recognized, each having left some lasting impression on him that set them apart from the others.
As Remi walked towards Sylvain, he looked almost as if he was unsure of what he saw, so Sylvain waved back in greeting. "Remius," Sylvain called over to him in kind greeting, "It's me Syl." He remembered sharing an ice cream before agreeing to catch up with him later.
He looked the boy up and down, giving him a scrutinizing look before smiling kindly in jest. "and you're a Gryffindor at that!" It was believable. Remi had seemed daring and determined before. "What have you been up to my friend?"

. . .
A popping noise, inside of Remi's mind realm, as the gears started to turn as for the brief moment as his face, at first, was confused before looking excited after seeing this cool dude from the summer months from the wizarding market place, Diagon Alley.Remi said, beaming with a bright smile on the boy's face. As Syl noticed what Remi was wearing, the typical Gryffindor black robes with red and gold trims on the odd spots of the said robes. As Remi looked down at what Syl was talking about, he nodded his head,
"Oh! Sylvain!"He squinted at Syl's blue,"Heck yea'. I thought I would be in Slytherin though, I'm used to it now."He let out a small laugh but he was serious; from diving into the lake to "save" someone on his very first day and to getting into the position of Qudditch. Speaking of which,"Oh, I didn't know you were a Ravenclaw. Hmm, maybe you told me when we talked in Diagon Alley but it was a while ago and a lot happened recently, heh."He smiled, the pride of himself as he didn't think they would accept the first year."Oh hey Syl, guess what. I'm Gryffindor's keeper, pretty sweet huh?"
He said, out of the blue. Raising an eyebrow and leaning slightly forward, interested on what Syl had to say."You going to the dance with Willow?"

"Oh," Sylvain said with a nervous chuckle, "No, she's going with Jack Warren." Sylvain looked forward to meeting him, but had little knowledge of him other than the two Huffles having bonded on the hufflepuff quidditch team. With all that had transpired since last summer, surely there was a need for the uplifting of everyone's spirits. If Willow, Flash and Remi were all going to the ball, then Sylvain decided he would too.
"Congrats on making Keeper. I'm not great at flying yet, but River is doing his best to encourage me." Sylvain's gentle warm smile crept across his cheeks. "Though Willow seems certain if I use her broom I'll have better luck." He chuckled and raised his hand to his mouth to suppress it. "If it means getting to hang out with you more, I'll get practice a bit more often."
It was good to hear that Remi was already fitting in with his housemates. It had nearly taken Sylvain until spring to do the same, so it was comforting to know his friend hadn't grown lonely in his absence. "What about you Remi, want to go with me as my friend?" The question more or less slipped from his mouth before he'd fully thought it through. He didn't even think to ask if his friend had a date or obligations. He knew some wizard families made a big deal out of tradition, but he himself just wanted to have fun.
"We could pull a harmless prank, could be fun."
