Assaulted eyeball aside, watching what happened to Dmitri made Santario want to vomit as her stomach churned uneasily. In fact, she was sure that as soon as all of this was over, she would probably heave until absolutely nothing remained inside of her body, but that would have to wait until later.

Jack and Victor were right… The only one who could stop him, right now, without violence, probably was her. The girl swallowed hard and blinked, rapidly pushing the tears that wanted to fall back in. Now wasn’t the time to cry, now was the time to help save her friend. If felt like time slowed down as she tried to weight her options. Hitting him was a non-option and wasn’t going to happen, not even if he hit her. Trying to get into his face again while he was trying to hit Tyr was also not an option either.

Deep breath time as she circled around to Erik’s back, she could only be hopeful that he would be too focused on trying to end Tyr than notice her. As swiftly as she could, she tried to wrap her arms around Erik from behind, trying to pull him into a hug, the same kind of warm hug that she gave him in the owlery. Words whispered only for his ears to hear. “Please come back to me Erik, I need you. Please, I’m scared I need my friend.” Her eyes would be squeezed tightly shut as she braced for whatever might come her way.

Erik must have forgot that he was in the middle of a fight as he stood there like a stunned deer in full view of a pair of headlights. His opponent, the one still standing ( @Tyranni Whitethorn ) was just malingering where she stood, like the final moments of a retro Mortal Kombat round where she was wavering in wait of that final finishing blow. Just nothing happened. The round needed to end but Tyranni has not stood down, she also had not given up. Neither had @Santario Martin but Tyranni had stopped fighting some time ago and Santario had never fought. @Erik Tharaldson was the only one left standing that was willing.

There was a difference of opinion regarding the best course of action --

Santario would wrap her arms around Erik from behind.
Santario attempts to hug Erik.
Attack Roll: 2
Evasion Roll: 20
She would never even touch the nimble wolf as he broke away from her grip before she felt the touch of his skin. The adrenaline still flowing through him. That instinct to fight. He was like a taut string, ready to snap at any moment. Still he would hear a voice behind him:

“Please come back to me Erik, I need you. Please, I’m scared I need my friend.”

Would her words touch something deep inside him or would Erik push her protests down in the back of his head? Would he fight or would he stand down?

Almost as if nearly a month had passed without movement from anyone. Will assume both teams have forfeited if there is no post in a few days.

With everything he had he had left Dmitri, broken, bruised and battered behind him. As fast as his stride could take him he would try to kick Tyranni straight in the face, but alas another assault would completely miss her. Even though she was merely sitting there, wailing, crying out to end her suffering Erik could not grant it to her. Whether it was the wolf inside him that held him back as it was feeding on her missary and pain the werewolf couldn't say for sure. However, there was one thing he knew. He had to inflict more pain. He needed to feed it to the ever demanding wolf inside himself. It's hunger was endless and everlasting. The tall, blond boy would provide as best as he was able to, to at least sooth somewhat of its hunger.

Before he could attack any of the other opponents or teammates all of a sudden Santario had tried to grapple him from behind, but he nimbly escaped her embrace of love or death. Whether it was either to hug him or assault him he wasn't sure, nor did he care. The wolf inside him was screaming again. ATTACK! ATTACK THIS ASSAILANT! PAY HER BACK IN KIND FOR HER STUPIDITY!

With another assault he would try and knock Tyranni down. With that he let his fist slam into her body with all of his might. Hopefully knocking her down to the ground and hoping to god she would stop wailing.

As she was now dealt with the Slytherin heard Santario's pleeding, but it had fallen on deaf ears. The wolf inside him was too strong. It's grip on him never faltering causing him to wreak havoc on his fellow classmates and so he turned towards her and started the fight. Oh, how he would hate himself, if he would regain his composure.

Santario’s eyes scanned him frantically, and she knew she wasn’t getting through to him. What else could she do to wake him up? He was too quick to try and hug him, which was only a plan in trying to bring back his memories of their friendship, but the young wolf was just too damn quick. She was never going to be able to catch him…

So what was left? The wolf may win this battle, but it would not win the war. Perhaps… Could she really do that to him? The answer was simple. Yes, she could do this to Erik because if this memory reigned strong enough in his mind, maybe he could fight the wolf better next time. Maybe if Erik saw beautiful shades of crimson painted across her white canvas, he could be strong enough to not hurt the next person next time. While this decision was stupid and not for her own good, she hoped it would be for his because she was willing to fall on this sword and die on this hill.

“You can fight this, Erik. You are better than this.” She would repeat this as many times as she could while blatantly not dodging anything that came her way. If she got knocked down, she would try to stand back up and look at him and speak those words until she could no longer get up anymore.

@Erik Tharaldson was a madman. Tyranni was no longer moving. She was just standing there for what felt like weeks. Nothing was going to stop stop Erik, not even his highly distractible nature. A moment that should have been rife with emotional turmoil, but it was as if most of the combatants had given up.

Tyranni was barely standing. Erik was going to finish her off in a single blow.
Erik attempts to Uppercut @Tyranni Whitethorn
Attack: 10 (+7 accuracy)
Evasion: 15 (+ 5 accuracy)
However Tyranni ducked out of the way, she had a strong sense of self preservation despite the deer stuck in headlights (not posting) look on her face. Erik was not willing to step down, even if he was slow(er) than expected. Had he been more active, he likely would have already put the girl down. But he didn't. His recklessness was working against him.

Santario begged him to stop. To stand down. But his blood was already boiling. He was on a rampage and Tyranni's evasive nature only fueled that fire.
Erik attempts to Axe Kick @Santario Martin
Attack 9 +4 (+7 accuracy)
Evasion 1 (+5 evasion)

Erik had turned on poor Santario. His leg raised higher than one would have thought, the boy just did not seem that nimble. His heel would come crashing down on the girl's shoulder. It was not enough to take the girl down. Erik was strong in his own right but he perhaps overestimated his own strength. Santario was not even trying to get out of the way, denying her natural drive to survive and avoid pain she would continue to beg him.

Erik would not listen. Santario would rise back up, Erik would even look as if he was looking to help her. As if he was truly standing down. As if he regretted his actions. He didn't.
Erik attempts to Suckerpunch @Santario Martin
Attack (Wisdom) 6 (+6 Wisdom)
Evasion (Wisdom) 15 (+8 Wisdom)
Damage: 25 * 8.8 - 220, 77 health remaining

Santario saw it coming, she knew that it was not a hand to help her up. That Erik was not willing to stop. She chose to not evade. His fist hit her in the jaw hard, causing her head to turn violently to the side. A flash of white hot pain, her vision left her for a second. She was rocked, but she was not going down.

Stop this Erik, please!
Group Seven & Eight Abandoned
Every breath Santario took felt like an eternity, and as @Erik Tharaldson finally turned and started towards her, every step he took felt like an eternity more as her survival instincts tried their damnedest to get her to move.

Run you stupid, stupid girl!
No.
He’s going to kill you…
He won’t.
You’re not built for taking pain. You’re too weak for this.
I know… and I’m not.
It’s not to late he is still an arms reach away just move!
It is too late.

Santario’s fists clenched as she braced for his fury, refusing to look away from his eyes. If this was going to happen, he was going to look her in the face while he did it. His leg lifted, and another eternity passed before it came crashing down into her shoulder. The pain elicited a scream from her lips as she went crashing down with the follow through of his blow. “You don’t have to do this…” She gritted through the pain as she tried to stand back up; his hand came into view as if he were trying to help her.

Santario knew better if Erik were really back, really there he wouldn’t have just offered her a hand; he would have shouldered her weight to help her back up. No the hand offered was a trick. Her sapphire eyes found his venomous green ones because, again, if he was going to hit her, she would make sure he watched as he did it. That was when his fist collided with her face snapping it violently to the side. She tasted copper, was her jaw broken? It didn’t matter anymore as she momentarily couldn’t even see through the pain. She had been so stunned she hadn’t even cried out this time.

Again Santario tried to steady herself, and as she looked back at him, Erik would see a trail of crimson rivers strikingly painted across her porcelain fair complexion while she tried to find his eyes. The edges around her vision dimmed as if the darkness was coming for her ever so slowly, relishing the time between now and then like a sweet dessert; it just wasn't ready to finish quite yet. She breathed hard more ruby liquid escaping from her lips running down her chin as if it didn’t know it was allowed to stay. She knew she couldn’t stand another hit; it was now or never though Santario suspected that the abyss fogging her peripherals would overtake her before she was ever useful enough to stop this. “Stop this Erik, please!”

...and Erik is still not posting/fighting. The stalemate still existing due to the fact that the outcome would be important to the development of those there, particularly Santario Martin.

The Jeopardy music playing in the background. Perhaps someday this thread will end. The adventure, including the answers some so valently sought would end up being empty promises. Battles incomplete. One soon to be dead [Victor]. Perhaps knowing the future, this moment became a waste of time. A waste of resources.

Santario Martin was too stubborn to stand down but soon enough the ring would need to be cleared of participants. They would need to move on, regret or celebrate their choices. There was no relief or release without reason.

Outside of the ring, Victor simply stood there and watched the outcome. He shook his head. It was a waste. It was selfish. The girl refused to stand down, there was no reason to stand up. she had no interest in the reward. She was the last one standing, Erik wanted to win. Why withhold from him his reward besides to punish him? Why stand there in the arena and let him beat her down unless she wanted to be hurt. Wanted to suffer. Or wishes to force him to later regret his choices, to make sure he felt pain.

Cruel if that was the case but he would not intervene. That was between them.
