Lorelei paused, confused, as she saw Hildegard coming back from by the classroom and said something about getting back to the common room before curfew.Copied and continued from the Astronomy Tower
"Um, it's already pretty close to curfew" she pointed out "Hence, I wanted to get my bag quickly and figure out what option would avoid getting us in trouble. I figure staying put, so long as we aren't too loud, would be the best, but if you want to go back to your common rooms, I can help you get back without getting caught. I am pretty good at slipping around unseen" She wasn't reay trying to brag, it just came naturally to her, and she wanted to help make sure the others didn't get in trouble "I just got to go back up and grab my bag real quick, one sec" she ducked past Hildegard and back into the classroom, grabbing her woven bag and came back out. "Who's dorm is closer? she asked "We can head there first, then to the other person's. I'll head back to Ravenclaw by myself, so I can help make sure no one gets caught." she rocked on the balls of her feet, on the edge on the top stair, looking down at the other two girls. "So?" she asked

-My common room is closer, lied Hildegard.
Actually the Slytherin had no idea which common room was actually closer, they were kind of at the same distance but she nevertheless chosen to say that hers were the closer.
As it would allow her to be accompanied with them both up to her common room, considering that the more they were the less scary it would be.
And that even if she did not really like the idea of being with Amanda, still suspecting that Gryffindor student were trouble.
Hildegard turned around to face the stairs leading to the corridor, the handicapped one sighed already feeling how annoying it would be to get down.
-You got up once Hildegard ! You can do it again ! She thought to herself.
L...let's go ! Or we will get i...into trouble ! She said worriedly.
Hildegard was descending the stairs not without some difficulties due to her limping leg, she was trembling at the same time having the feeling that they would not make it in time and would eventually get caught and severely punished.
As descending she accidentally slipped due to her leg and her lack of care as this time she did not use the walls as support, Hildegard felt a few stairs.
-Ouch!!! She said loudly as her fall was over.
That really hurted her, making her feel yet again bad for not being able to walk properly.
She got down from that feeling but she knew she did not have time to lament herself, she looked up in wait of the two other students, hoping they did not see that, and getting ready to continue to walk.

"Okay, Slytherin first it is! We shouldn't get into any trouble as long as we don't enter each other's common rooms and all get back before curfew." she started down the stairs, plotting their route to the dungeons in her mind, expecting the others to be walking behind her, when suddenly she heard a loud noise and Hildegard exclaim something. She whirled around to see that Hildegard had fallen. She qucikly went back up the few steps between them, bending down to try an help her up
"Hey, are you okay? Do you need help?" she asked "Geez, I should have thought about..." she trailed off, not wanting to be rude by bringing up Hildegard's leg, since she wasn't 100 percent sure how sensitive it would be. She tried to change the subject. "Anyway, Slytherin dorms, in the dungeons, right? And,["/color] She turned to Amanda from her spot helping Hildegard,"Gryffindor, Tower, floor five, not too far from me in Ravenclaw, right?" she asked to make sure she remembered each house's location correctly, though she was fairly certain already. Amanda followed Lorelei out into the hallway, not having made eye contact with Hildegard at all. At the comment of Lorelei walking back by herself, she became worried.
"Are you sure you want to be the one to go alone, Lorelei..? I can always walk back with you, the fat lady won't tattle on me, I hope.." She referred to the lady in the painting, at the entrance of the Gryffindor common room. The fat lady tended to be rather loud, and it worried and stressed Amanda out.
She then turned to Hildegard, when she said her common room was the closest. Having no idea where any of the common rooms were except Gryffindor, Amanda blindly believed her. She gave a small smile.
"Okay, we'll go to Slytherin first. Sounds like a plan."
Amanda noticed Hildegard's side comment, biting her lip. She seemed terrified of getting in trouble. Was this because of Amanda? Maybe she was scared that she would be the one to get the three in trouble, because of the house feud...
As they started to descend the spirals stairs, Amanda saw Hildegard struggling. She didn't know of her leg problem, her brow furrowing. She kept her eyes on Hildegard's feet, now worried for her. She saw her foot beginning to slip, her eyes widening. She reached out with her hand, but it was too late. She had tumbled down the stairs, quite painfully. Amanda winced, keeping silent. She desperately wanted to offer a hand to Hildegard's aid, but figured she would be turned away again. It wasn't even worth trying, Hildegard didn't like her anyway.
"Y-yep, the dungeons first... as long as you're sure that you'll be okay on your own.." She said, concern in her tone.

I'm okay ! I don't need your help ! She retorted out of pride.
Hildegard paused when Lorelei was about to mention "that" thing, looking at her right in the eyes.
-I...I don't need your pity you Mudblood ! You don't need to refrain from mentioning my walking issues either ! That's just like pity ! The Slytherin violently throwed.
Hildegard breathed heavily for a few time, already regretting what she had just said, since she said it in the heat of the moment.
-L...listen, Lorelei I'm sorry... I should not have said that...
She stutter.
Hildegard felt out of place, that was not the first time that she'd being mean to Lorelei for almost no reason, just because of her tendency to be scared of anything, to think about the worst case scenario out of the most ordinary scenes.
-R...really I am sorry for having called you Mudblood, and sorry for that time in the train too... She continued.
The coward one looked at Amanda, feeling ashamed that the Gryffindor witnessed her fall and her sudden crisis, she wanted to tell her something she even moved her lips but could not think of anything to say. Hildegard sighed, getting finally in the corridor.
-We will take a shortcut ? You guys are sure we w...won't get lost or something ? She asked
The Slytherin paused then added :
-I...I'm so sorry...

Lorelei winced, stepping back as Hildegard snapped at her. Wrong move, apparently. "I...I" she started, right as Hildegard called her a Mudblood. That pushed her over.
"I am NOT A... er, one of those. she finished awkwardly, before continuing her rant, "My Dad is a muggle, but my Mum's family line is a pure as yours. And besides, why's there anything wrong with being Muggleborn, or related to Muggles. They're clever, that had to figure out how to do everything on their own, without magic to assisst them. Everyone acts like wizards are so much better because Muggles took longer to get to or out of a certain point in history, or because they don't have magic, but newsflash, they have no control over that." she stopped her self before she continued any further.
"It's, well, it isn't okay, but I accept your apology. But, please don't use that word again, with anyone, ok. And with the train, we already determined that was just a misunderstanding, you don't have to worry about that." she shook her head slightly "C'mon, lets just get going. Erm, this way," she pointed, standing up. She paused to make sure the other two girls were with her, and started towards the dungons.

Hildegard looked around in order to find something to talk about to change subject, seeing that the corridor was separating in two, she tried to imagine the original way to the dungeons and thought that maybe the way left was a shortcut.
-D...do you guys think that if we go left we will arrive faster ? I...I am not that sure to be honest. The Slytherin suggested.
She intuitively turned to Lorelei for a reply but remembered how she had just treated her and how scared she was of her doing "payback" from it.
So she turned herself again, this time to Amanda, best choice at the moment.

And w...we will encounter less scary stuff in our way right ? Like magical armors or i don't know. The coward one added.
She stood still comparing the two way trying to guess which one was less scary, which one was actually shorter, wondering if she should even have brought this up.

Amanda couldn't believe the name Hildegard used to address Lorelei, staying silent out of fear. She was taught to never use that word, as it was disrespectful and made a lot of people feel ashamed of their muggle heritage. She was relieved that Hildegard apologized, hoping that Lorelei was okay.
Amanda was surprised when Hildegard turned to her to ask a question about which way they should go. She had no idea how to get to the dungeons, nor if going left would actually function as a shortcut. The halls of Hogwarts were in fact confusing, but she'd noted that sticking to the most walked path was usually the best bet. Especially for getting to your destination without running into anything unwanted. She noticed Hildegard's stutter, she must be scared. She was starting to think differently of the Slytherin girl. Maybe she was only rude to her because she was scared, scared of Amanda getting them in trouble. She knew that she wouldn't be the cause of any trouble, and just had to prove that to Hildegard.
Amanda gave a soft, reassuring smile. "I think we should stick to our original path, the shortcut might have more scary things. Though I doubt we'll run into anything frightening. If you get scared, you can hold my hand, okay..?" She tried to be reassuring, offering her hand as a gesture of kindness.

The way Amanda spoke, openly exposing the fact that Hildegard was scared, that really pissed the Slytherin. In just an instant she thought :
-How can that girl, talk like she's so much better than me ??? Who does she think she is ? Proposing to hold her hand like I am 5 year younger than her ?!
Hildegard's pride was hit again, even if she was indeed scared, the fact a Gryffindor of all people mentioned it so openly, treating her like a baby, Hildegard was certain that Amanda did it on purpose, to mock her.
The coward one angry, she slapped Amanda's hand using the back of her hand as a way to refuse any help, confronting the girl eyes on eyes.
I said I don't need help ! She claimed angrily.
Her claims were however accompanied with some body trembling, manifestation of her actual fear to find scary things on their way.
Hildegard as she was walking continued :
-What are you even taking me for Middleton ? Talking like y...you are better than me, just because you are supposed to be braver !? Or is it that you re taking pity on me because I can't walk properly ?! Tell me which one it is !

Lorelei jumped at the chaos behind her. Everything went down before she had a chance to say her idea about the shortcut.
"Woah, woah" she said, trying to calm the others down as she turned back to look at them "Let's chill out real quick. Um, okay. One, I think Amanda is right about this hall, but I do know a few other shortcuts, we'll take those once we get closer. Personally, we should only take one if we're one hundred percent certain they'll get us there faster. Not because of portraits or armor, but because we don't want to be wrong and end up out too late. Second, Hildegard, you mentioned being nervous about the armor first, so Amanda just responded to that. However, Amanda, I do understand why your response made Hildegard kinda defensive. At this point, I think we all need to be extremely careful about phrasing and tone and word choice, obviously it's easy for us to misunderstand each other and blow up." Lorelei paused to take a breath. "Now, Hildegard, I have no doubt you're as capable as any other witch or wizard, heck, you're probably even more capable than some. However, if you fall, like you just did a minute ago, I, and others, are likely to offer help. I at least, would offer that to anyone else who fell, and while I get it now not to offer help outside of such a situation, it is my habit and instinct to offer help if someone falls, and it is not meant to act as though you aren't capable of doing things on your own. Okay? Now, let's not waste time, we need to get moving" she took a deep breath, and turned to continue
