It was so loud!
So many people talking about magic, Blaise didn't think this would all be so overwhelming. He never had a problem with people in Shamley Green!
'This sucks. Can't anyone talk about something... SOMETHING ELSE? Anything!'
The boy scratched his head in frustration as he walked a grassy path. Some sparse trees decorated the scenery, not far from the great lake.
His robe's sleeves were hugging his neck, as even wearing the thing felt weird.
He tried to practice the wand lighting charm in his spare time after a Hufflepuff prefect shared the incantation and hand movement. So far, he has only been able to produce a faint shimmer that could barely illuminate the palm of his hand.
'Man, I've got to make things work out somehow. Can't be walking alone all the time like some kind of-...'
Blaise stopped himself.
He was about to say 'Freak.' The same word that had been thrown at him and his family by Gordy and the rest of the muggle boys he considered to be friends.
Now Blaise didn't even have fake friends. He had nothing. Not even his sister was by his side. For the first time in a long while, he missed her.
“You know that doesn’t make you a bad person, right? That muggle boy deserved it.”
His sister's words echoed through his head.
'Why am I even agreeing with you? Not one of those stupid mooks you call friends. You probably won't even be able to admit we're related now that I broke the Slytherin tradition.'
Blaise picked up a pebble that was unfortunate enough to cross his path.
He aimed towards the distance and threw it.
The rock sank immediately in the lake's water.
The boy sighed wistfully, looking toward the distance.
Well, he never did learn how to skip stones. Maybe they've got some spell for that here too.

Skipping Stones
Henry was mostly found by the great lake or in the library on day's off, as he got their early in the morning just to get to his favorite spot under the large oak tree before anyone else did. Henry placed his messager type bag at the trunk and his violin case next to it as he popped the case opened and took the instrument out, Henry held stood up and looked at it as he may have started playing from not so happy times. Now he loved the violin and would play whenever be had a problem, wearing no fragment that said what house he was in Henry stood at in front of the black lake and placed his violin under his chin as he begun to play.
Each note that he played filled him up and released a bit of worry or stress making his anxiety leave him for a moment. For a few moments he was at peace as he played with eyes closed and precise moments Henry felt at peace and like himself. Like the world and everything around him was brighter and his troubles disappeared as he played not thinking about others approaching or watching Henry let the sun shine on him as he played the music that he loved.

Blaise furrowed his brows in reaction to the fine, gentle sound of... A violin? Not an instrument Blaise's ears were used to hear, but the player's skill shined through even to him. He recognized the melody from the muggle world, alluring him away from the lake and closer to a scattered treeline."What the-?"
Following the tune, Blaise walked slowly in the direction he deemed to be the source.
He let himself soak the notes. The verses relaxing him, the melody inspiring him.
There was a certain sadness, perhaps a melancholy to the song.
Blaise couldn't remember the words, and neither could he explain why he found it sad since he knew absolutely nothing about how music works. He never touched an instrument. The thought actually never crossed his mind.
'Picking up a guitar would probably be cool.' The boy thought to himself just as he notices the outline of a figure in the distance. The features of a rather tall figure leaned against an oak tree and facing the lake coming closer into view. The music growing louder as he walked closer.
'Maybe I'll give the triangle a try first. Better safe than sorry.'
The song drew closer to its imminent ending, but even though Blaise already stood a few meters away from the violin player, he resisted the urge to say something and disrupt the artist.
The tall boy didn't even notice Blaise. He was so focused on playing that violin; he probably didn't even hear him stomping through the grass.
The song ended, followed by an awkward silence that lingered just long enough to let the last notes sink in.
Blaise sputtered bluntly. Pointing to the instrument and closing in a few steps closer to the violinist."That was good. You play really good!"
He put both his hands in his pocket and gave the teen a modest yet somewhat endearing side-mouthed smile.

Eyes closed, music filling his ears, anxiety resting, worries and stress seemed a thousand miles away, as a gentle breeze blew against the boy playing the violin. Like he done it a thousand times before, not a single note was missed or out of place,
his stance was straight up and standing toward the lake as he was lost in the music, was engulfed in the music that he didn't even noticed the boy fast approaching him from behind.
Henry felt his worries and stress melt away as he no longer felt his anxiety look over his head, everything was perfect as he played. He wished that he could have played forever, that the good times could last forever, that his anxiety would leave but all good things come to a end and soon Henry played the last note, holding onto it for as long possible until the note died and the song ended, the peace end and everything came rushing back to him all at once.
Henry looked down as his volin with a small smile upon his face before looking back at the black lake, ripples against the water's surface probably from the giant squid that resides in it. Henry ready to escape the world for a few more minutes held is volin back up to his chin but before he could play something stopped him.
Henry turned around at the sound of the voice and saw a reasonable tall boy, but Henry was a bit taller then, with coffee brown hair and tan like skin much like Henry's, along with brown type of eyes approach him. Henry assumed he was a first year given he didn't recognized the boy but needless the twelve year old spoke " thank you, do you play?"
Henry suspected the answer to be no, probably because not many kid's played the violin it was almost rare to find one that did. Henry smiled at the boy as he spoke again " I'm Henry by the way," he left his last name out not on purpose just he didn't see it as important as he placed his violin back in the case and shut it before getting from the ground and looking at the boy.
" Your a first year right? I'm a second year, uh Henry Knight," noticing he said his name twice Henry spoke quickly " sorry just my anxiety coming through to me," with that he went back to controlling and hiding his emotions before speaking again " so you saw why I was here, could I ask why your here mate?"

@Henry KnightBlaise chuckled.
"Nah, never even saw a real violin before."
The boy reached his hand, confidently for a shake.
"Name's Blaise," He remarked cheerfully.
"And yeah, I just got here yesterday on these crumbling old boats." The boy gestured mockingly.
Blaise paused when Henry repeated his introduction and then let out a hearty cackle when he apologised.
"It's all good!" He exclaimed.
When the second-year asked him about what he was doing there, he knew Henry meant why Blaise was around the great lake. However, he still answered in more detail, venting about what was going in his head.
"I have no idea what I'm doing here," He shrugged—an honest puzzled expression on his face.
"I don't even think I'm supposed to be a Hogwarts student, to be completely honest."
Blaise was swaying in his place, gently kicking his feet in the grass.
The feeling of how weird it all returned to haunt his mind. He suddenly became very aware of how little he felt in comparison to all the people around him who seemed to know so much about everything that was going on than he did. He even felt smaller than Marina.
"It's just... Everything is so different around here. I never really did anything magical before, you see."

Henry heard his response and almost suspected it as he nodded before listening to his introduction and finding out that the boy is Blaise and that he was indeed a first year. Henry then smiled a bit as he spoke " well it's nice to meet you Blaise," Henry then nodded again with a smile when he didn't mind his awkward second introduction or anxiety creeping up on him actually it was more like it was looming over his head and waiting, never leaving just waring ever so patiently to strike at the perfect time well horrible time to be more accurate.
Henry listened to his thoughts and for some reason he understood as Henry then spoke with a smile " well your here so you had to do something right," Henry laughed a bit but then continued a bit more seriously, " But I know how you feel, to like you don't belong here or anywhere to be exact. Sometimes I feel like my twin should be here instead of me but yet here I am, somehow," Henry smiled at him and noticed something for the first time. That was the first time he actually admitted or at least said that him and Annabeth should have switch places or been in each other's place.
@Blaise Linwood Mallory sorry for the wait and from now on expect speedy responses

@Henry Knight It's all good, I'm not in a hurry ^_^The boy listened quietly.
"It doesn't feel like I did something right... More like I'm here for all the WRONG reasons."
Blaise looked into the other boy's eyes with the classic intense Linwood glare.
"Where's your twin now?" he questioned.
Would make sense that Blaise isn't the only one with sibling problems around here. It's probably even worse for people who grew up in the wizarding world, or at least Blaise could imagine how it might be so.
Blaise didn't know what the other boy's story is, but he was quite interested to hear what Henry had to say. Maybe he can find friends here after all, and at least get used to this bizarre world that had been trusted upon him.
Maybe, in the end, things won't be so bad. He can learn to live with magic, he can learn to live with the fact he is magical himself. It doesn't have to hurt so much. It doesn't have to be like it was with Gordy back at Shamley Green.
'I won't have any slip-ups. I'm not going to let Marina get the satisfaction of watching me fail.' Blaise thought to himself. An intense, determined look on his face.

@Blaise Linwood Mallory sorry for the wait, I got busy with school but expect speedy responses from now on
Henry heard his reply and looked at the boy, a part of him felt bad for him while another part wanted to help him. But he felt something else... what was it? Guilt? Regret? Sympathy? Or maybe he knew how he felt or knew someone who felt that way. His twin sister, Henry and Annabeth never been close but it was odd there was something in this boy that felt familiar, recognizable.... like he seen it in his sister a long time ago but now was gone.
" Wrong reasons? I know we don't know each other well Blaise but I'm assuming you don't have many friends since you just started yesterday and if you want to talk than you can, Henry spoke with a smile before continuing " I'm always willing to help my friends so what's someone who can be become one." Henry noticed his question and looked down a bit before looking up with a small smile " my twin; Annabeth is a squib, although growing up she always expressed more of a longing and likening about magic than me. For a while I thought she should be here but my older brother helped see that I could belong here to I guess," Henry paused before asking, " why do you ask? Do you have a twin to?"

Blaise sighed and kicked some grass around with his foot while speaking.
"A year ago I had a fight with this kid, Gordy..." Blaise paused while his mind wandered about, searching for the right words.
"It was pretty bad. He said some things that really got to me about my mom and my sis, and I couldn't control it. Next thing I know his neck got all swollen and red and he's on the ground, choking."
Blaise looked irritated and frustrated.
"I didn't do it on purpose, it just happened you know?"
The boy kept kicking grass around, not looking Henry in the eye while he talked.
"My mom said it's dangerous to repress magic. That's why it happened. It was all my fault you see?"
At this point Blaise started stammering a bit, telling only pieces of the story, forgetting Henry doesn't really know the whole thing. He was so deep inside his memories that he got carried away for a bit.
"It was my fault, and now I'm here." He finished, and slowly looked up to Henry.
"Thanks, you know... I don't know..." Blaise stumbled, feeling somewhat flusteredeven though he did trust the friendly Slytherin.
"Yeah, Marina. A real piece of work that one."

Henry wasn't expecting him to just open up like that but he did and the more he talked, the more Henry wanted to help. He saw that the memory was uncomfortable for him and the reason why he felt this way so he listened only keeping a small smile on his face to let him know that he was listening and that he wanted to help.
When he finished, he finished by thanking Henry and also stumbling over his sentence that Henry couldn't hear what he was about to say, no matter through Henry smiled as he spoke " thanks for telling me Blaise and your mom's right about repress magic. If you didn't come here and learn chianti control it than a lot more damage could come from it so you made the right choice," Henry smiled at the boy as he placed his violin back in his case and snapped it shut before taking a few steps closer to Blasie and saying " and that didn't sound like your fault, as kids we all experienced acts that we call magic. We don't purposely do them or anything, they just come out when we feel strong emotions such as anger or sadness."
Henry smiled at Blasie as he continued " you said you like the violin right? Maybe I could teach you unless we share another hobby, what are your hobbies?" Henry than heard him mention his own twin; Marina so perhaps they did have more in common as Henry spoke "is she at Hogwarts? I'm assuming you two aren't close either, well that's something we have in common we both have twins."
