Fall Games
Among the yells and screams of the rambunctious crowd and frustrated players, mixed flawlessly with the pounding drops of rain as they left no surface untouched, there was hardly any silence to fill with coherent thoughts. They came in bursts, single words and beats of great force and ambition backed by nothing but a battering heart and adrenaline rushing through her veins as an unstoppable river. It was one moment at a time, though the world spun fast and the water fell hard, and the quaffle moved so quickly between players that Persephone dizzied herself with flickering eyes. No matter, that was not her focus as Cassandra was returned to her broom, to fulfill whatever fate had in store and whatever will flickered behind Dan’s eyes.
Upon relieving herself of that burdening weight, she’d tighten her grip on the handle of the broom, desperate for that feeling of control to return to her fingertips. And when it did with an electric shock, she would soar through the soaking air, though perhaps without grace, and do what was called upon her. Trying was no longer an option with the score the way it was, it had already fallen to do or do not until they relentlessly climbed atop the hill of unconsciousness again. Persy watched for signs, signals, directions, opportunities, and would go, no matter what the outcome, knowing she played her part.

As the players from the Gryffindor team got actually situated and got their first 20 points, Remi's fist shot up in the air, on the bench, "Yea' Gryffindor!" Remi said as he sounded rather excited not to be playing and see his favorite team start to beast onto the Slytherin, everything seemed to go according to plan.
Unless they were going to take out The red Keeper, they stood a chance.

Having met Evelynn at the Secret Blossom Ball, Tyranni was acutely aware of how keen the young seeker was, noticing things that may have been missed by others. It was no surprise when she watched the girl perk up, her eyes catching a glimpse of a shiny gold ball flying through the air. Where is Dan? If only he could follow Eve around. Does he even realize the girl has seen the snitch? This was her second game as captain, having joined late last season and she did not want to continue on a losing streak. Those stats are not impressive. She sent up a silent prayer to Freyja, the mother of her people. Mother Freyja, please send your blessing upon us today. Help us to been keen on sight, sly as a fox, and as elusive as the snow leopard.
She knew who the targets on both teams would be. She only hoped that the Snakes could successfully land their plays and attacks and evade any incoming attacks from the Lions.

With the help of their blonde team mate (Cash got to know her name at some point), Cash finally back to their school issues broom. The heavy rain soaking their body and not to mention the chilly air that biting their bones. Once the beater back to their broom, the cheering from the spectators and their other team mates erupted.
The green eyes peered onto the scoring board and somehow Gryffindor tied their score. Seeing their team mates play their bestest, Cash needed to do the same thing. The second year definitely have some personal vendetta against the lion beaters.
But since one of them down, a courtesy from the other purple hair person which Cash vaguely remember saw them in fleeting. Cash swiped their wet face from the rain and try to focus with the game. They pushed back their purple wet hair and squinted through the rain.
Gripping the shaft of their broom, Cash shivering because how cold the air is but they pushed it through. The fly high and low to chase the bludger. Once the bludger come near them, Cash gripped their bat and swung it with all their might hoping the metallic ball at least hit one of the lion beaters.
But if the metallic ball hit the Keeper again and resulting the Keeper fall of from his broom, Cash will definitely helping their team mates to weaken the lions defense.

She'd get them next time. That what Alexx was telling herself, anyway. Not everyone could score back-to-back goals. It wasn't easy carrying a team on your back like that. So, she'd get them next time. There was still a while to go in the game, and plenty of opportunities. She wasn't going to let one small victory for Gryffindor bring her down, when ultimately, she knew who really deserved to be on top. Alexx was going to do her job, and do it well, because she was the first first-string chaser. She had a team that she couldn't disappoint now, even if she wanted to.
Gritting her teeth, she flew on, shaking off what she had just witnessed. "Next time," Alexx shouted to any nearby teammates, trying to boost morale. It wasn't easy watching another team have luck. She knew that, all of Slytherin knew that. But they couldn't quit now. They'd pull through in the end, they always did.
Alexx glared at the Gryffindor players, and although she knew deep down that she knew some of their players, they all became a blur. Names and faces no longer went together, they were all suddenly just the enemy. Just the opponent.

Oh, how quickly the tide could turn. The rain refused to let up, the wind whipping about harder than ever as the weather remained uncooperative. With Slytherin evidently losing what insignificant lead they had, Thora's spirits were on the decline, dropping along with the rain trickling off of her chin. Gryffindor's keeper was skilled, she had to admit, taking up the Quaffle twice consecutively with deft fingers. But while Koko had blocked all of his previous attempts easily, these next goals sank in despite the blonde's best efforts. Thora's fingers curled into white-knuckled fists around her broom handle as she glared up at the sky, riled up both by Gryffindor's newfound success and the sheets of rain, which was no doubt affecting the players' performance. After all, she knew all of the Slytherins to be superb.
The Gryffindor keeper's risk in leaving his hoops completely unguarded certainly had come at a cost, though; Alexx scored yet again, pulling the score back to a tied game. A ghost of a smile returned to Thora's face, though the adrenaline had long since left her, the little explosions of hope which had been present not long ago fizzling out. Things weren't really looking up anymore for Slytherin, but she forced herself to stay optimistic.
Pessimism never got anyone anywhere, after all.

Percival grit his teeth as he checked the scoreboard. In large clear numbers, it read the score, Slytherin had lost the small lead that they had acquired. They were all tied up now meaning the next score could either put them in the lead or put them behind. Percival couldn't help the tension that seemed to draw him into the game. It felt like he could not tear his eyes away for even a second. Lest he wants to miss something that could deem important. The rain seemed to capture the mood almost perfectly. Bleak yet strangely aggressive. Neither side wanted to yield, to bend to the pressure. Though there had to be a loser and a winner. Though the boy refused to give up any hope on his team. Percival knew that they could take the lead once more. The Slytherin Quidditch Team was a great team, and no doubt was put into that statement.

Edric still didn't mind the weather, even when the game went on and on and there was no sign of the rain letting up. As far as playing conditions went, it was horrible, though. The could only see half of what was happening on the pitch, and it had to be a lot worse for his teammates who were actually up in the air up there.
It certainly didn't help that they were behind. Somehow the Gryffindors were capitalizing on the weather - or they simply had more luck. It was hard to tell... and also didn't really matter in the end. He really hoped they could still turn this around.
"You can do it, guys!" he yelled at the others, not even sure if they would hear him.

Her eyes continued to gaze into the cloudy sky. The quaffle was passed left and right but who was that chaser? It surely wasn’t Alan and weren’t Rafa and Anastasia doing a penalty lap.
So who?...
then she saw the open goal, which didn’t remain empty for long. A whizz of green and a blur of red and another goal for Slytherin. Pierre was lucky that he scored so much, otherwise she would probably be pissed. "Good job", she murmured knowing he couldn’t hear her.
But her eyes were ripped the quaffle, as a faint glimmer of gold passed through the cloudy sky. The pair of tiny wings carrying the walnut sized ball so fast that she almost could’ve missed it. But she had trained with this before. It was the only way she could practice quidditch at home, since she wasn’t allowed to ride a broom.
She surely hoped Evelyn had seen it too. This could decide the match.

It seemed that as the game got more and more intense, less and less interest was given to the quaffles. Only one chaser from each team made any attempts at grabbing the ball- Nico Shymane and Alan Vanes. At first it seemed that Alan would have the upper hand, as the boy immediately zoomed towards the ball. Something caught his attention though- something about the other chaser. Whatever it was, the Gryffindor would be distracted enough to lose sight of the ball, allowing the young dhampir to fly in and grab onto it. Whether or not the results of the next two attempts at getting the quaffle were a product of this same unsettling aura was a matter of debate. What was certain however is that Nico managed to grab onto the quaffle three times in a row.

Slytherin was racking up points, and Evelynn knew that she needed to get the snitch as soon as possible. Luckily, she had already spotter it, but it was too far away to get to quickly. At least... it was too far away to get to alone. With the aid of Scarlett, the young seeker attempted a difficult maneuver- the alley-oop. Unfortunately one of the two had miscalculated Evelynn's trajectory, causing her to fly clear of the Snitch. Dan palmer was having even worse luck than Evelynn- he still couldn't find the snitch for the life of him. The little ball always seemed to be in whatever direction he wasn't looking.

Gryffindors persistence in their attempts at removing Erin from the game was impressive if futile. The girl must have expected it, as when Kyle sent a bludger at her she easily flew out of the way. In response to the aggression, Erin decided to aim for the enemies seeker- maybe she thought that that would get them off of her back. One very well-aimed strike later, and Evelynn would be hit with an extremely fast-moving bludger. It wasn't a powerful enough blow to remove her from the equation, but it almost was. Gryffindor's team captain, Rafa, attempted once again to knock Erin off of her broom with a blatch. Along with the announcement for his penalty lap, River Jemari pointed out the fact that he missed, attributing it to the fact that "Cheaters never prosper." Cassandra also attempted an attack, this time aiming at Pierre, who flew out of the way at the last moment. Finally, Alexx, possibly desiring to prove the announcer wrong, successfully blatched Evelynn off of her broom. The seeker didn't hit the ground though- Pierre caught her just as she was about to! On the bright side, or on the dark side if her goal really was to prove that pesky professor wrong, her blatch wasn't even noticed!
