ReducioKrystal lived in Australia until the age of nine. She quite liked it. Her parents owned a small house, close to her school. She had plenty of friends and her fathers family lived there. When she was nine, her grandfather died, on her mothers side. He was rich, but he left her mother nothing but a large house in Richmond, England.
Krystal and her parents moved to this house. It was huge. Five bedrooms, five bathrooms. A study, a kitchen, a living room. And... a library. Krystal's favourite room in the house. Even her own room wasn't her favourite, even though it was decorated in shades of purple, with a four poster bed and ensuite.
All the walls of the library were lined with book, except for the north wall, which was all glass. In the middle of the room was a glass staircase that led to a glass platform. Under the platform was a massive terrarium that housed all sorts of plants. On the platform itself, was a black leather couch, two armchairs of the same kind and a fireplace. This was Krystal's favourite place to curl up and read, especially at night, with the fire roaring and her favourite woolen blanket that her grandmother had made her. Conveniently, Krystal's room was right next to the library, so she would often sneak in late at night. On multiple occasions, her parents had found her asleep on the couch, after reading late into the night.
Her first instance of magic was in Australia. She doesn't remember it all that well, but she has been told she was playing on the roof of her house, with her best friend. She was around five. Her parents were watching them from the window. Her friend took a quick peek over the edge and told Krystal that it was scary and high. So, Krystal looked. She leaned over slightly to far and fell. Two stories, onto concrete and not even a scratch. All Krystal does remember, was that it felt like she had fallen on an air mattress.
