Capture the Base
This was becoming more exercise than the boy of the mind had done in awhile. Of course he used to participate in a myriad of sports when he was younger but ever since coming to Hogwarts he had dropped all of them. Last round he almost had to sit out because he would've been captured if it weren't for Greta, thank goodness. He'd rather Dumbstrang get it than the Hogdorks. His eyes glanced up to the referee of Rafael, curious as to what he was thinking of Everett during this whole thing. He was the whole reason Rett was here after all, it better had not go to waste.
He was looking for something uncontested, something untouched. And easy grab. He saw people darting left and right and saw base #4 just kind of... chilling. He just wanted Ilvermorny to win, to swell with school pride that they had won despite not having nearly as many people as the other two teams. Not only that, but they were the outliers in coming all the way from America just to witness one Quidditch game. His steady feet continued to carry him across the field despite wanting to go back to his tent to write. Afterwards, he would surely reward himself.OOC: Unsure if Rett escaped or not since he's not listed as a prisoner. Wrote my post as if he escaped, but if he hasn't escaped that's also fine. He'll just be broody and resentful.Stats || Stamina 8 / Evasion 6 / Strength 6 / Wisdom 7 / ArcPower 4 / Accuracy 5

Capture the Base
Interacting as Iris Fields
The flag was an easy steal. Iris raced up, switched the flag and was off to get another base. She could defend the base if she wanted to, but there were only four Ilvermorney players and two she hadn't seen in a while so the usefulness of actually defending was close to none.
Iris jogged around the field, listening to the announcer's commentary. Another jailbreak. The constant jailbreaks were making it increasingly difficult to get anything done. At this rate, this game would never end. It was sounding like Durmstrang was in the lead? It was hard to keep track since the bases were always changing. Part of that was thanks to her, but it was still tough to know which bases to go for.
Iris shook off her musings and ran at a base. Seven if she was correct. There was a cute boy standing guard and Iris flashed him a sarcastic smile as she dove for the flag. She had already outsmarted guards three times this game. Surely she could do it again. As long as her luck hadn't run out yet. But it wasn't time to doubt, it was time to win this game.

Capture the Base
Vita was annoyed. She'd missed doing anything last round because she'd gone and fallen in a rabbit hole, of all things. And to think, all that martial arts training for nothing! Ah well, hopefully she'd make up for it this round...
She lifted her head from the rather uncomfortable position she'd fallen to with grass tickling her nostrils and wiped the sweat from her neck. She wondered if Merlin, that British fellow, had ever been this hot. It was ridiculous! She'd heard that Britain was a rainy place, maybe not as rainy as Slovakia, but still, somewhere where overcast skies were the norm. It seems she'd collected the wrong information.
черт!
Vita spotted a blue flag fluttering at the far end of the playing field with a distinctly evil flash of red hair flying towards it. Which was, in fact, a girl! Going for their base. Vita would not let the girl get it! This was her chance to prove herself again, and she would not let her school down. Durmstrang had done so well so far, especially considering they had fewer players, which, in Vita's opinion was totally unreasonable. But, then again, she'd consider anything against her school unreasonable. Which was *cough* very fair.
With no further ado, she raced to guard her base, and with a bit of luck, capture the girl who tried to take advantage of its' defencelessness.STATISTICS AND ABILITIES:

Capture the Base
Briefly interact with : @Miranda Everest | Mention : Everett Brooks (@Willow Anderson) - Phylicia Stanwood (@Bridget Collins)
Cash ran as fast as they could to free Miranda from her imprisonment but the guard that guarded the Base II had a quick reflex. With that the girl tapped the green eyes and Cash had the same faith as Miranda.
"Yeah"The purple hair agreed to what Miranda said. The blonde Raven scooted over to make room for the Slytherin to sat on where the prisoner being held at. Cash a bit irritated with themselves. But their failed attempt to steal Base II from Phylicia, would not be their benchmark for their failure.
When Rafa yelled out jailbreak, Cash got up to to their feet. Cash smile at Miranda before took of to their next target. The green eyes aiming at one of the base that not too far from where the Base II at. With how much they run around under the hot sun, they feel a bit lightheaded.
Not to mention the sweat that trickling down from their face to all over their body. Cash dashed to their next target base to steal, hoping they out run the boy that trying to claimed the same target as them.

The game was beginning to wrap up.
This ideal was, admittedly, a revelation that both relieved the young Captain as much as it put a damper on his countenance. Commentating, he supposed, had begun to grow menacing to the up-and-coming sports enthusiast– he supposed, in hindsight, his discomfort in the spotlight had somewhat stemmed off of his disdain for good sportsmanship and radiant love for all things Hogwarts. It almost felt as if he were damaging his own ego, in the many instances that he found himself congratulating the other teams for their successes… but he was to remain impartial, no? It was simply too much of a challenge, he noted sourly, one that contested his resolve and patience. Alas, perhaps commentating wasn’t for the young man. But that wasn’t to say that he wasn’t enjoying his time on the field. The game, while having gone on for quite the hot second, had and still was bringing to fruition plenty of surprises, twists and turns unlike any the young man had seen in a Quidditch game before. [It wouldn’t be long, however, until this memory was sourly trumped by that of the upcoming Durmstrang V Hufflepuff game.] It was a fact that relieved the young Captain as much as saddened him – only a few minutes, he thought to himself, before the whistle is blown. The teams were running out of time to impact the event. So, who would win, then?
It was too close to tell at the moment. Hogwarts, having been dormant for many rounds, was beginning to take back the lead they had sorely lost many rounds prior, fighting tooth and claw to make even with the soon-to-be notorious cheaters of Durmstrang. Ilvermorny, on the flip side, had regressed back into the third place position, with only one base to call their own. Oh, how the mighty have fallen. However, Rafael knew better than to gloat – in reverence of the Slytherin Versus Gryffindor game earlier in the 2019-2020 Quidditch Season, he deduced that the tides could just as easily be turned by the four-man army. “With Hogwarts and Durmstrang tied,” he announced into his megaphone, “which school will claim the Capture the Flag title this season? The English? The Russians? The Americans?” Perhaps it was his way of stoking the fire, or perhaps his words were simply pent up excitement bursting out of his lips in attempt to find purchase. It didn’t matter now. What mattered, was that it was only a matter of time before there was a clear winner.
He’d be damned if the English were defeated at home.

──────Greta──────Another round, and Greta was resigned to the dull, actionless area that was the First Base.
What was with this anyways? What was going through Greta’s mind at this point? Perhaps she felt proud that her defense of the first base had gone on flawlessly. Perhaps she reasoned that she was simply too fearsome an opponent to approach. Or, perhaps she found disappointment in her lack of excitement – after all, one doesn’t simply win from doing nothing. Whatever the case, she would find her base untouched for the remainder of the round at hand.Greta, uncontested, succeeds guarding the first base.
Base II
──────Miranda──────After what felt like forever, Miranda was finally able to move from the prison base.
Even though Cash’s attempt at stealing the base for Hogwarts had resulted in them being captured, the Jailbreak allowed both a second chance. Quick on her feet, the Ravenclaw girl would stand and, wasting no time, run to capture the second base, which had been previously left unguarded. With a swift clipping of the golden material in place, the Hogwarts flag now stood proudly on the pole, swaying in the light wind and blew across the field.
“Hogwarts claims base II!” the Gryffindor commentator announced in the megaphone, a glimpse of hope in his voice. Could Hogwarts get back on its feet and win?Miranda, uncontested, succeeds in capturing the second base.
Base III
──────Barren──────The previously-instated Hogwarts Base, of little surprise of the Gryffindor Captain, saw no action – no one graced its prisons, and no one strove to claim it. No one defended it. The tent, in fact, looked strangely lonely in this instance, a bit dead, even. It would seem as if Hogwarts had gotten lucky – this time. This was, of course, no solace to those commentating– the Captain would instead release a breath of irritation, disappointed in the lack of action on the field. Was it that the players were growing tired once more? “Hogwarts retains possession of the third base!” he commented dryly, glancing at Tyr, as if pondering her thoughts. It was all he could do to repress the irritation he felt towards his own team. The third base remains untouched.
Base IV
──────Everett──────Was action finally reaching out towards the seemingly forgotten fourth base? After escaping from a possible capture, Rett had decided to put as much distance as possible between himself and the Durmstrang base, choosing to instead focus on an easier target. What was the saying? Play smarter, not harder? Whatever the case, it would surely assist him today, as he would easily succeeded in putting another notch upon the belt of the proud American team. Another base had been snatched from the Russians, and another opportunity for Hogwarts to get the upper hand had disappeared.
“Ilvermorny steals another base!”Iris, uncontested, succeeds in capturing the fourth base.
Base V
──────Lizzie──────Lizzie remained a spectacular guardian – no one attempted to capture the fifth base.
Lucky, she should count it, that no one chose to make an attempt on her beloved territory. Nonetheless, the game would continue on about her, students stealing bases and strengthening their respective teams. Loss of action, of course, was a small price to pay for victory!Lizzie, uncontested, succeeds in defending the fifth base.
Base VI
──────Slava──────Slava had grown tired of the lack of action, so the moment that the jailbreak occured, he decided to run towards one of the bases and try to capture it. If before fate had not favoured the young man that much, this time he succeeded in his intent: without anyone there to stop him, he easily claimed the sixth base for his school, carrying Durmstrang closer and closer to imminent victory.Slava, uncontested, succeeds in capturing the sixth base.
Base VII
──────Lydia V Iris V Alexei──────Finally. Some action.
Alexei’s cause was certainly noble, but perhaps in this case he had bitten off more than he could chew. For two powerful women had soon approached from across the field - from one end of the spectrum approached the nimble Lydia Cooper, and from the other Iris Fields, the witty Ilvermorny representative hellbent on winning the match for her team. Who would win, then? There was only one way to find out. Lydia would swoop in, in an attempt to make the first move, only to be narrowly apprehended by the Russians' resident trash-mouth. However, in his distraction, the boy would be unable to see to the Ilvermorny player, who darted forward in awareness of the sudden opportunity – “Ilvermorny steals the seventh base!” Rafael cried with a huff. It was bad enough that the other team had got away with the steal, but Alexei had escaped as well – that was certainly bad news. How was it that every time she claimed a base and sought to hold onto her prize, it seemed everyone looked the other way. In some regards, perhaps that was a good thing. Maybe they recognized her for the quick little cat that she made herself to be. It could be that they may have seen her as just a little too quick or nimble to want to deal with when there were other players against whom they could more easily match. Of course, given her size, that seemed unlikely that she'd be able to frighten off any so easily. Maybe she was just invisible. Too small to make all that much of an impression and so was overlooked in the crowd when any of the players looked for a challenging match-up. Maybe they didn't want to waste their time.
Whatever the reason, Greta was—once again—left to her lonesome to guard a completely uncontested base. So be it. At least she could say at the end of the game that she hadn't been one to let a claimed base be taken over so long as she stood guard. Then again, neither was she really making all that much of an impact. After all, there really wasn't much of a point to guarding if there were none who tried to take it from you.
As children of the various schools ran this way and that, Greta watched on with increasing restlessness. She wanted in on the action. She wanted to make a difference. And more than anything, she didn't want Durmstrang to lose. Even still, she couldn't quite bring herself to forsake her base. Not when doing so could mean losing it the moment she went out of reach to an opportunistic Hogwartian. But, the moment that they lost the seventh base, she made up her mind. In a last ditch effort, she ran to the nearest base with the hopes to make up for the loss.

Capture the Base
Writing as Alexei Petrov

Alexei's outfitShouting at people for not attacking him was evidently not a great strategy. More than one very pretty girl took it as a challenge. Now, generally, having multiple girls come running at him was hardly something he would want to avoid, but at that moment, it was less than ideal. He knew he would most likely only be able to capture one at a time, leaving the base open for the other to steal.
Not that knowing his endeavor was futile had ever stopped him before. He somehow managed to stop the lovely girl that he had figured out was from Hogwarts. He shot her a wink as he apprehended her before turning his attention back to his base. Despite his excellent capture of the Hogwarts girl, his hard fought base had slipped through his fingers. He made a split-second decision to abandon the sinking ship and live to fight another day. The game was close and he didn't want to waste time on a lost cause. Hogwarts was the bigger threat at the moment, and if Alexei could snag one of their bases, he could win this for Durmstrang.
Determined to snatch the victory from the English school that he already resented for having girls that were so much more attractive than his own, he pivoted and took off across the field, a target chosen. His muscles burned as his feet hit the ground, but he didn't care. He had to win this. It was a matter of pride.

Capture the Base
- Interacting with Alexei Petrovi ( @Anastasia Beckett ) -Well, it seemed like luck was not on her side anymore.
As she ran towards base 7, her eyes focused on the boy that was standing there and on the flag next to him, Lydia did not realise that someone else had set their eyes on the very same base; once she did, she cursed in her head and really hoped that the boy would go after the other girl, cause if that would have happened, she knew that she was fast enough to secure the base for Hogwarts.
But, of course, that did not happen.
The Durmstrang student decided to go for Lydia, and with a quick movement he managed to catch her and- did he just wink at her? For a second Lydia looked at him with a shocked expression, before she realised that meant she had to sit yet again on the bench a s a prisoner. But maybe she could have turned this around, maybe she could have done like with the other Durmstrang boy (Arjan), but right in that moment the other girl that ha d set her eyes on that base had claimed it for the American school.
Letting out a sigh, the red headed girl walked to the bench and sat down, rolling her eyes as she observed the field in front of her. She really hoped that Hogwarts could win.

Capture the Base
There was yet another "victory" on Lizzie's part. No one had come to get her and the base was still hers. It was quite possibly the best thing that had ever happened. She didn't have to worry about anyone running towards her and she could just relax while watching the other schools scramble over the top of each other to get last minute bases. "Just one more round. We can go on for one more round." She panted out quietly.
Everything was happening in a blur. It felt like the game had already started. However, Lizzie has been through so much stuff. Obviously, it was nothing that would traumatize her but she never knew she had such a big competitive side to her personality. Normally, it was her brothers who would be growling and groaning when something didn't go their way and they would cheer when it did go their way. They were defiantly stereotypical football boys except with Quidditch instead.
Hopefully, no one would come over to Lizzie right at the end and take the base without any question. Who knows whether she could handle another wrestle over a flag. She was defiantly already out of breath from all the other running she had been doing for the whole game.
