Date for Ball PV Fin

Haley had a bad day. All the homework was hard on her, everyone around her was talking about the ball without a break and she had slept badly that night. In the morning she had already turned around in her bed about three times and didn't want to get up but before she could turn around for the fourth time she was thrown out of bed by her friends in the dormitory. Grumbling she went into the bathroom and got ready.

Totally sleepy and in a bad mood she went to the big hall to get something to eat. Haley seldom had a bad mood or let anybody notice about it but today was such a day. She sat down at the Gryffindor table and listened to the conversations of her friends but did not participate in them. After a few minutes she was so engrossed in her thoughts that she no longer perceived the world around her and absent-mindedly poked around in her food without taking a bite.

Suddenly she was brought back to reality by a jubilation. When she flinched and processed the shock, she noticed that the boy next to her had spilled his juice in her direction and was already apologizing. Haley hardly took in his words until she finally realized the situation and her mood began to deteriorate.

"Damn it!" it came out badly out of Haley and she looked around annoyed. Does this need to happen now? She cursed in her thoughts. "Yes, yes, all right." she broke annoyed towards the boy on her left when she suddenly heard his friend making a stupid remark about the ball. She blinked at him angrily and rolled her eyes. He probably thought she didn't hear him, but he had spoken incredibly loud.

Before she could get any more upset, the boy apologized again, but Haley was just too upset "You already apologized, it's okay!" she said again and at the same moment she was sorry for being so bitchy. She felt bad, she didn't want to take out her bad mood on others.

Haley took a few deep breaths and tried to calm down, then she turned to the boy again and hoped he didn't take it too badly "Listen, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hit on you like that! I guess I'm just having a bad day but you can't help it." She smiled slightly at him and hoped he would accept her apology "I'm Haley and I'm sorry again."

Richard scratched the back of his head embarrassed, while she was cursing and letting her steam out on him, he saw her plate which was half eaten, after a while she got his attention back when she started apologizing and introduced herself, Richard replies "Look Haley, you don't need to apologize, I can understand and I didn't took it hard, I get it you had a bad day and what happened will set you off, by the way if we think about it positively, at least your mood is getting back to normal since you apologized for being harsh, and I hope we can chat about your bad day so that I can make it up to you." Richard asks his friend to serve her fresh plate "I suppose its cold since the food was served about an hour ago and you still haven't eaten half of it, Let him get you a fresh plate". Richard gives Haley some space so that she can sit at the table, He goes around the table and takes a seat so that he sits in front of her while passing through his friend Richard punches him on the back, "don't dare to giggle. If you intend to stay here."

Haley was glad that Richard did not take it badly. She felt relief in her and relaxed a bit. After she had had so many negative encounters lately, she was glad that this situation had defused itself and did not end with a new enemy.

"Ah, um, thank you." she smiled slightly at him as he reheated her food. Haley was not hungry and would not eat any more, but did not want to appear ungrateful. So she took the fork in her hand and hoped he wouldn't notice that she still didn't eat.

"That's sweet, but I really don't want to talk about it." Haley didn't want to talk to anyone today, not about her bad day and not about anything else. And certainly not with someone she just met, but she kept trying to be friendly and smiled again.

She was not in the mood, but she didn't want to leave a bad impression so she tried to motivate herself to talk. "So and you two," she now looked at his friend and smiled briefly at him "like to play Wizard Chess together?" She had never played it before, but she wasn't sure if she would like to do either.

Richard replies with a smile as Haley thanks him "No problem ! its the least I could do. And its alright if you don't want to talk about it, I cant force you." Richard looks at his friend as she mentioned him "Yeah, me and this idiot like to play chess, Do you play wizard's chess too ?" Richard barrages Haley with questions before she can reply "what is your favorite class ?, do you like Quidditch or flying ?, do you love magical creatures ?, have you discovered a secret room here ? What you want to become after graduating ?."
His barrage of questions got interrupted by the laughing of his friend, at first he was unaware that why he was laughing like a maniac but when Richard turns to Haley, he realized that he was questioning her non stop and didn't even noticed about the Her expressions. He turns red with embarrassment and excuses with a weak smile "Um.. I.. I think I just remember I have to be somewhere right now... I.. Uh.. lost track of time.. I H-Hope to see you again." and runs toward the great hall's door and glances back at her as he exits.

Haley was overwhelmed with questions from Richard and before she could start answering one of his questions, he asked the next one. She was slightly annoyed, but didn't let it him know. On any other day she would have laughed about it but today she just felt like a rest.

Haley could barely get behind him to listen to the questions and process them in her head when the next question came. Whenever she opened her mouth to answer, the next question came. In the meantime she had already forgotten what the first two questions were and two questions later the other questions before.

She thought she finally had a chance to say something when Richard smiled at her, but before she could, he jumped up and left the big hall almost running. "Um, yeah, okay." It came confusedly and quietly from Haley. She quickly turned around and looked after him and shouted another short "bye" out loud.

She was at most confused by this situation and turned back to her table and muttered "strange" to herself. She looked up briefly and noticed a smile from his friend. Now Haley had to laugh as well because he had probably overheard her quiet remark.

Since she wouldn't eat anything more anyway, she took her things and went to the common room. She would get some books and then she would go to class. On the way to the common room she looked back at the events and wondered if she would see Richard again. Even though they were both from Gryffindor, she was not sure if they would run into each other again in the next few days. She felt that every day she saw new students from Gryffindor that she had never seen since the beginning of the school year, and she was always amazed how this was possible.
