Interschool Race
A few familiar faces were rushed by as Meenauh was passing through the crowd in the search of the white-haired boy. He should have been somewhere around watching Xailah racing, but she couldn't find him just yet. Why the Point-Me spell couldn't point at a person instead of just north... She needed to find a different spell that could guide her to a specific person. Owls do it somehow, so there should be a spell.
But instead, her eyes found a face she was not expecting to find. Yes, there were a lot of students from all the schools around the world, and she should have expected him as well, but she still didn't.
"Oh, you've got to be joking," she exclaimed in a whisper, piercing her stare through Plott. That would be a distraction.
The race had already started, so she was a bit nervous she couldn't keep her eyes on Xailah from the start. Meenauh studied the sport. Quidditch was a sandbox compared to that one. And who was interested in that? Of course, Xailah it was. She kept slicing through the crowd, frowning and concentrated on the search of Pericles. She was listing spells in her mind — something to help Xailah not die along the way. And then she saw Pericles and made her way to them in a jump.Thinking of @Xailah Alptraum
"Finally," she said in a sigh, elbowing some space for her to place herself near the boy, "How much did I miss?" she asked Pericles while keeping her eyes somewhere to fixate on Xailah but not successfully just yet.Interacting with @Pericles Dralt

Xailah had spotted him! Being able to offer her a shred of support was an excellent feeling, though Pericles could not shake free his sense of disappointment for arriving after she was already on the field. When she gestured to her goggles, he held up high the little brown box, waving it with a forlorn face. He had something for her, but he was simply too late to gift it in time for the race.@Xailah Alptraum / @Meenauh Silmataurea
The boy had just settled into his seat when he left someone jostling in alongside him. "Meena!" Brightening with a broad smile, Peri pushed himself to the edge of the seats, creating passable room for her to squeeze in alongside him. "You're right on time," came the abrupt reassurance. "They've just taken off, and no one has cast her way yet, nor she at them. Here-" a spindly hand gestured to the large tool hanging from his neck, "I've bought a pair of Omnioculars for the occasion." With that, Pericles held up the brass binoculars, deftly tweaking knobs and dials. He peered through the right scope with his left eye, and if Meenauh leaned in, she could peek through the opposite half to see them replay, in slow motion, the take-offs. The brilliant contraption had cost a pretty galleon (or four), but he wagered they were worth their weight in literal gold. These would come in handy over time.
Meenauh, however, was keeping a close eye on someone else. Her whisper prompted Peri to glance away from the race, considering Plott with owlish innocence. "What's the matter?" he whispered back, volume just high enough to reach her over the crowd's roar.

Interschool Race

Nearly 24 hours since she had arrived at Hogwarts, and Jayden had spent most of the time exploring as much of the Grounds as she could, mainly though guided tours with as many Hogwarts students as she could befriend. Now was the day of the race and she was eager to cheer her school on.
Arriving at the stands, Jayden would take a seat, after scouting for the best view that would allow her to see the greatest range of action happening out on the track. Which was practically impossible. The track was huge after all. But she tried. And would mainly keep to herself, waiting in anticipation for the race to begin and watching it all unfold.
Quidditch and broom racing had been tempting offers when she began school at Ilvermorny, but Duelling won out in the end. Frankly, Broom racing seemed to be the most dangerous of the three, not that it would've deterred her Fearless nature, if she really wanted it, but giving heed to sensibility, she wasn't that reckless in risking her life over something so trivial as flying.
"Go Logan Go!!!!"
She heard the cheer of a male student beside her. Though many had opted to sit and gather with those of their own House or school, Jayden didn't care who she sat with, so long as it granted a decent view of the race.
"Yeah, you go, Logan!" Jayden whooped, not knowing who "Logan" was, and her guilty face was proof of it, when she threw an innocent glance and playful chuckle at [Damion White], feigning awkwardness. "Who's Logan?" She'd ask, raising her voice to be heard over the crowd. Picking apart his accent, she assumed the boy must be from Hogwarts.

This was the second time Milo had visited Hogwarts but he was noticeably more nervous than the first time. The reasoning? He pulled out a small letter in pretty handwriting and a small picture that was enveloped behind fell out. The boy bent down swiftly and gently picked it up, a small smile gracing his lips. It was a rare sight to see on the boy's face. Silently he put it back in a pocket in his black pants before looking up and around the area he had walked to.
It was the viewing stands for broom racing. He of course, wasn't involved in the activity and instead did dueling but he was coming to watch it and cheer on a special someone. Milo scanned the crowd, looking over and spotting what he assumed to be the Beauxbaton team. A girl who was turned away from him looked familiar for some reason and he squinted a bit more before his face lit up. "Angel! Udachi- er good luck!" The older boy grinned like a mad man as he waved his hands in her direction, a small blush crossing his cheeks. He knew it was her right away, even just by looking at her back. The photo she had sent in the letters, he would never forget her.
The boy realized he was still standing at that point and quickly took a seat on the rather cold and uncomfortable stands. His blonde hair tussled by the wind as he finally took his eyes off the breathtaking girl and glanced around the rest of the area, observing the other teams, including his own where Romeo was getting ready. He whistled at Romeo before laughing and turned his head to see Greta a few lengths away in the stands where he waved to her, but refused to move from his spot. Milo had a good view.

Meenauh looked at the Omnioculars — a tool she never used because there was no opportunity. As she saw Pericles using his left eye to observe the race, she leaned in to use the other part of the device, she saw the take-offs replaying — the part she had missed.Interacting with @Pericles Dralt
"Whoa," she exclaimed not giving away the excitement too much, "That's handy, thank you," she thanked the boy just before noticing Plott.
As Pericles requested additional information about her worrisome stance, she turned to him to gladly provide it: "That is Lazarus Plott, the Headmaster of Ilvermorny, if you remember. That is the man that brings trouble. While we, and I mean Xail and me, don't have direct evidence against him, trouble always accompanies him," she glanced back at Plott, "We feel it. He's not just a headmaster, he's into something."
She thought of the insider. Someone just had to play on the other side. Was he connected to squibs? To the attacks, to hags, to everything? What if Plott was the bad guy? They thought of it million times already — still there was nothing one hundred percent evident about him. He was just... suspicious as hell.
"He's appearing too often in this place and this time we have to find out something," she said to Pericles quietly, "With the upcoming ball, I am afraid to think that something is coming," she continued.
She kept looking back to Plott from time to time while also trying to watch Xailah or at least find Xailah on the race field. It was huge and they were small. But Xailah was always outstanding. She could swear she saw her just a moment ago, but now she couldn't find it.
"Pericles. Where's Xailah?" she asked in a worried tone, "Quick, help me find her," she pleaded to him in a request to search for Xailah who was not resembling herself anymore.

Rosamund Swann felt extremely bored. Yawn. She fortunately managed to repress it, though, otherwise others would know that she did not really want to watch the Interschool Broom Race, and that would make her look like a freak.
Did everyone not like this race and make such a big deal about it? Rosa did not consider it interesting at all - in fact, she hated all sports save for cheer leading and horseback riding - but because everyone else thought broom racing was cool, the blue-eyed girl pretended that she found it wonderful as well. She could not stand when people thought she was an odd one out.
Well, that was the very first reason she came to the spectator stand of this broom race involving four magic schools - Beauxbatons, Durmstrang, Hogwarts, and Ilvermony.
The second reason was because Florian was participating in the competition. The boy was Rosamund's classmate and date for the upcoming Autumn Dance. She liked Florian because he was fashionable and came from a rich family - and behaved so: he certainly knew how an upper-class citizen ought to behave, unlike some other kids who were born to great families but mingle with the pathetic ones and think that their families' fortune did not matter.
Rosamund spotted Florian among the racers as they prepared to start the race and blew him a good-luck kiss, hoping that the dark-haired boy saw her doing it. She also hoped other people noticed it, because what could be better than everyone knowing that she had a date, especially a broom racer?
Lucky for her, Sylvie came with her to watch this competition, otherwise she would die of boredom. With Sylvie, at least she had someone to talk with so that she did not have to watch the race all the time. "What do you think about this race, Sylvie?" she asked off-handedly, not caring the fact that it had just begun.

Damion was cheering on his friend who was in the race. He wanted Logan to win this race. It would have been good for his friend. He was a little lost in his own world of cheering his friend and had not noticed that someone had come near him. He was lost- well not lost lost but lost in cheering on his friend. He looked at the girl there and smiled. "Oh! Logan is the boy in the Nimbus 1001. He's in Gryffindor" Damion said with a smile on his face. He looked at her and said "I'm Damion White. I'm a Ravenclaw Student." He introduced himself. He stretched his hand if she wanted to shake it. He was going to be polite to other people.

He looked at her and smiled gently. He was here to cheer his friend and was trying to not be rude to anyone else. He looked at her and said "I don't think I have seen you around. Do you go to Hogwarts?" he asked her. "I'm sorry I don't mean it to sound weird. I'm just.... sorry." He said getting a little flustered. He was a little nervous that maybe he had offended her. He didn't want to offend her.

Jayden's smile broadened when [Damion] reciprocated her greeting, conveying warmth and attentiveness through her chestnut brown eyes. Of course, she didn't intend to distract him (or herself) from watching the game. But at least he didn't seem too off-put or uncomfortable by a stranger's presence for her to continue small-talk with. After all, what else did they have to do to spend the time, aside from a brief glimpse at the racers as they zipped past?
She lifted her Omnioculars to her face, following her gaze in the direction [Damion] was pointing to, locking onto the pitch-black broom of the Nimbus 1001 that Logan was mounted upon. "Oh, I see - that one," Jayden chirped in confirmation. She studied Logan's features (as best as she could from a distance), in case she might identify him after the race. "Who is he? Your friend?" She asked [Damion]. Ninety percent likely it was, but maybe they were brothers?
She returned Damion's handshake, remembering not to grasp too firmly or cling too long. She wasn't used to many handshakes between her and her Ilvermorny classmates when it came to introductions, but Hogwarts students seemed to be fond of them. "Jayden Holt, nice to meet you. You can call me Jay, if you want."
Seeing Damion's composure faulter slightly in nervousness, Jayden gave a reassuring laugh in amusement, not at all offended by the guessing game of where she came from. She was simply glad for conversation to break the ice.
"No, it's okay. I'm from Ilvermorny. Third year Wampus, House of Warriors," she said with a tinge of pride. "I'm in the Duelling Club, at my school. I would've done Quidditch, but I…don't think it's worth it. Just didn't turn out right for me." She shrugged. "A hundred feet in the air, a hundred miles an hour, just to throw some balls through hoops?" She scoffed lightly. "Duelling's much safer, believe me. And it's much more practical for real-life situations. Never know what foes you'll encounter in the future."
She didn't mean to push her own opinions on Damion, however. Or put down Quidditch.
"And you?" She turned her focus back to Damion, shifting the subject. "Are you in any sport?"

Pericles, ever pleased to be helpful in some capacity, muttered with muted gusto: "No trouble at all. I hope you don't mind sharing- I've only seen a broom race once before; to imagine, now we can watch our friend take part in one!" They huddled with wholesome spirit, one eye open and the other closed. Yet Peri was pulled away easily as Meenauh began describing the most mysterious Lazarus Plott. Eyebrows arched while he considered the Headmaster, chancing a glance towards him with the Omnioculars, childish glee towards the race vaguely shadowed by cautious curiosity. Smile dwindled down into a lopsided line, he lowered the device into his lap and considered his companion. Meenauh and Xailah had a knack for noticing anything out-of-sorts. On a whim, he was willing to believe their suspicions, though this tidbit served to add a plethora of potentials to the present plot at Hogwarts. Pericles appeared to mull over the matter, stare set upon the rails instead of either the race or Headmaster. At the mention of the Fall Ball, his brow creased lightly, then the boy sent a sad sort of smile her way. All dance functions at Hogwarts seemed to end poorly. "I was asked to help orchestrate this one," came the quiet admittance. "If something does go wrong, would you try t'find me? I'll be hosting a party in the Rehearsal Room."@Xailah Alptraum | @Meenauh Silmataurea
It was then that a new, more immediate problem reared its head: in all their worrying, they'd lost sight of Xailah. "Oh-!" With a start, Peri lifted the Omnioculars once more, spurred by the twang of worry heard in Meenauh's voice. He spent several seconds scanning the racers, desperately trying to distinguish their friend from the lot before they could disappear into a tunnel. When at least it clicked, Pericles drew a short sharp breath, sitting up straight and swiftly twisting towards Meenauh. A smile sprang into place as he exclaimed- with the enthusiastic realization of a miniature Sherlock cracking a code*- "Xailah isn't herself!" Silvery eyes danced, the Metamorph's tactic realized. "That is to say, she literally isn't herself. There are two Aurelias in that flock, but I distinctly recall- from our last S.W.A.G. match- that Xailah flies a Moon Trimmer. Aurelia has a Silver Arrow. She's that one there, with the goggles!"*Self-rolled a wisdom check.

Damion was happy that he was making new friends. He had a handful of them here. He was not sure what his friend back home would say about this but well he wanted to make Dylan be proud of him. He wanted to show his parents that he was capable of having friends outside Dylan and outside his own comfort zone. He looked at Jayden and smiled. He was happy that he had come out here to cheer on his friend Logan. He wanted to show his support, he didn't care that Logan was not in the same house as Damii was in.

Damion smiled and looked at Jayden as he heard her talking to him. He nodded his head and said "Yep. That is Logan." He said. He nodded his head 'yes'. He smiled and said "Yes he is a friend." He said smiling sweetly to her. He was happy that he had come out here and had thought of encouraging his friend from the bleachers.
Damii shook her hand and smiled. He was in a happy mood lately. He really liked smiling and being cheerful. he looked at her as she introduced herself to him. "Nice to meet you Jay." He said looking at her. He liked making new friends.
Damion looked at her as he heard her laugh. He didn't know what to understand of that. He was not sure about it. He laughed nervously.
"I see." Damion said looking at her. "Oh wow! Duelling club. I'm also in the Duelling club here." He said smiling. He didn't know that they'd have something in common. "I think dueling is something that ensures your safety. I had heard that somewhere." He said quoting what he had heard Dylan say earlier. "I agree. Duelling makes you be aware of real life situations and prepares you for them." He said smiling.
"Um... no sports yet." He said. "I'm into embroidery and baking stuff." He said. He was not ashamed of what he did. "What other things do you like doing?" He asked her with a small smile. He quickly glanced at the race in front of him.
