- Delilah is hit by Knockback Jinx and receives 153 damage.
Dmitry & Ruby
ReducioDmitri cast Healing Spell with Spell Spread at himself and Ruby
Wisdom DC: 11 + 2 = 13 (Spell Spread)
Wisdom Check: [d20: 8] + 14 = 22 > 13 → Success
Healing: 10 + (11 –1 ARC) × 5 = 60 (Curse of the Bogies)
Effects:
- Dmitri and Ruby aren't healed due to maximum health.
- Dmitri is no longer affected by Green Sparks Charm.
- Dmitri's Curse of the Bogies debuff is reset.
- Dmitri's will faint in 9 rounds: 8 – 1 + 2 = 9 (Healing Spell)
The flame from Delilah's wand was weak (Wisdom Check on the edge) and also completely missing the intended target (Ruby). Dmitri, whose way the spell was sent, had to dodge to avoid it. Which he did, while keeping himself busy with healing — a strange activity, considering none of them was hurt. Ruby, on the contrary, spent her precious seconds with more benefit — bringing the opponent team closer to their defeat by hitting Delilah with a beautifully cast Knockback Jinx.

It spoke a lot about Dmitri's confidence when, instead of attacking Delilah Stewart with a spell (which, in villainous glee, he made it look and sound like he was going to), he cast a Reparifors over himself and his untouched teammate. The action drew out the game further and broadcasted the fact that he was a formidable spellcaster in one feinted move.
It was a predator playing with its food.
"The mere fact that it was you who brought it up, Delilah, means you are the one who still hasn't moved on quite yet." Dmitri enunciated, idly twirling his wand in his fingers as he did so. "Here's a tip from a Duelling Captain to an..." At this, the Ravenclaw girl will be subject to a brief glance from her head down to her toes. "...inferior."
As the boy's clogged nose slowly cleared up somewhat from his healing spell, the Viridian Vipers' captain stood up straighter, nose turned up higher. "In the duelling arena, it's you, your wand, and your mind against others'. You don't let your feelings color your composure lest you act irrationally."
"Leave your emotions out of the game before you walk in. That way, if—when—you lose..." His eyes would stray to Robert Toukmond's prone body as he positioned his legs into his duelling stance. "...you'll at least get to keep your dignity."
The boy would pull back his arm, ready to cast his next spell.
That's my one good deed a day, done. Impart valuable knowledge to some unfortunate soul. Dmitri would think to himself as he shot Ruby a readying nod.

As she cast her own spell, which went straight past the pair of slytherins, she watched them, expecting two spells to be sent her way, and instead only saw one, which then quickly knocked her backwards, groaning as it winded her a bit. The feeling of having a knockback jinx hit you straight in the chest is not one that Delilah would recommend feeling any time soon. She leaned forward to catch her breath and afterwards, returned to her original spot on the duelling platform.
Delilah clenched her jaw as he spoke, trying not to let her anger cloud her judgement, but she was known for having quite a temper, it angered her more than anything that he looked down on her. But she decided to simply ignore his words. His superiority complex would get the better of him someday, even if she couldn't put him in his place, somebody should eventually. That weird feeling of scalding hot all over your body as if you are on fire, due to pure rage, it frustrated her, she tightened her grip on her wand as she stared him down, getting ready to send off the next thing in her plan.

Mentioning: @Delilah StewartThe Ravenclaw's flame whizzed past them without hitting and Ruby breathed a sigh of relief. Careful, analytical eyes tracked the girl as the prefect paced slightly, never travelling too far. She cast another Knockback Jinx, which hit the Ravenclaw dead on. Pale, slender fingers idly drummed a rhythm on the handle of her wand, tapping out any lasting anxieties that she had. Determination hardened her resolve but there was still the niggling voice of doubt, wondering if she was good enough to help win this or even if the Ravenclaw could win after all. No, she told herself, stop that. Perhaps the future was uncertain, but she was on this team for a reason and she had to proceed with confidence. Briefly faltering or hesitating could be fatal in a duel, and she knew that.
She listened to what Dmitri was telling the Ravenclaw—clearly the two had some sort of history—and noted that he chose to use intimidation and manipulation to try to break the spirit of others. Was humiliation something he would try on any opponent, or just on the Ravenclaw due to knowing her? It didn't matter to her besides the dim awareness that it was a cruel technique, but it helped if she had a sense of what her teammate was like. He had a good point, too, that people should remain composed and act based on logic, although her anger sometimes got the better of her. She had also not missed him calling her Delilah, which was especially interesting since, as far as she knew, he generally addressed people by their last names. This year, she preferred the emotional distance that the use of last names provided. Was the use of the name Delilah a sign of disrespect or that things were getting personal? Her focus was switched back to the match and thoughts temporarily pushed aside when the Slytherin gave her a nod, which she returned immediately.Doing as strategised*.·:·.☽✧ ✦ ✧☾.·:·.*

- Delilah is hit by Critically Successful Knockback Jinx and is Knocked Down (needs a Get Up action to get back into the duel).
The duel seemed to be turning the direction first as Ruby went for another Flipendo, which backfired so smoothly that she knocked herself back right behind Dmitri. Delilah's next spell was shining brightly as the curse went all the way to Ruby. Knocking herself back seemed to have the saving effect because clearly, Delilah couldn't anticipate that when she was aiming.
It seemed that seeing Ruby on the floor with another curse coming at her, Dmitri accumulated all his magical power and send such a powerful Flipendo towards Delilah that she was thrown back a few metres to find herself knocked down on the floor. What a round!

Interacting with @Ruby Cazares and and mentioning @Delilah Stewart
Both the remaining Ravenclaw and Dmitri cast absolutely formidable spells during the round—one out of pure rage, and one out of sheer ruthlessness.
The Slytherin boy knew the outcome before it even happened: the only thing rage does is cloud one's judgment; ruthlessness only sharpens it. His opponent's spell went wide, arcing through the air in a violent, yet misguided manner. Dmitri's spell, however, hit true. Right in the center of the chest, Delilah would be hit by his crackling beam of Flipendo, tossed in the air like a ragdoll.
At this point, Dmitri just feels disappointed. He hoped for a better fight than... this.
Irking him, even more, was his teammate's atrocious attempt at a Flipendo. Turning to give Ruby the blandest, flattest look a captain can give his members, he hoped he was able to convey the unspoken message of get a hold of yourself. He would hold that stare for a few more moments, not planning to look away unless she does first.
Even if she didn't and it all boiled down to a weird staring contest with one disappointed over the actions of the other, Dmitri can cast from his periphery without running the risk of sheer, utter failure.
Unlike Cazares.

All Delilah could do was watch as her spell went right over their heads, the disappointment very present in her eyes as it did, this was not going well, whatsoever. Although she didn't get much time to watch her spell fade off before she was hit by yet another flipendo, but this one was stronger. As it hit her in the chest she felt her feet come off the ground, sending her flying backwards.
Coughing a bit, she slammed her fist down on the stage, her emotions were definitely getting the better of her, as they frequently did. However she was able to look up long enough to see the third years spell backfire in her face, which, she had to admit, did fill her with a little bit of hope, but she still felt like this was a hopeless match.

Mentioning: @Delilah StewartShame washed over her, changing her overall feelings of triumph and slight nerves to guilt and anger in an instant. Her spell failed in front of all the spectators. It was embarrassing, and she fought to avoid a hot blush creeping into her cheeks. She was a prefect, a former first string Chaser, a member of the Hogwarts Headliner, and a duellist for the Slytherin house, and yet she couldn't even cast a first year spell? This was ridiculous. She couldn't be a failure, couldn't afford to fail. Too many people were watching—surely people would be taking note of the fact that she hadn't even succeeded at this. She hadn't proven herself as a duellist yet, since this was her first official duel, and she certainly wasn't going to if she kept this up. Dmitri couldn't be the one carrying the team, she didn't want to be a burden. She wanted to be worthy.
Despite the despair that came with a failure, some good came of it as well. She was flung back, but it meant that the stream of fire that the Ravenclaw girl had aimed at her whizzed past without hitting its mark. Dmitri's spell was a huge success, knocking Delilah off of her feet, and the bitterness Ruby felt at this made her subconsciously grit her teeth and tighten her grip on her wand. It was made worse when Dmitri turned to face her, a disappointed, unamused stare cast her way. She stubbornly returned the gaze, a fire burning in the depths of her cold eyes, which were presently narrowed. If you've got something to say, say it, she silently dared him. At least then she could try to rebut it. And it wasn't like she was totally inferior, either. Outside of the duelling arena, she was a prefect and a staff member, which hardly put her below the captain of a sports team. Regardless of however she attempted to reassure herself or reduce the severity of it, she would not be forgetting this failure for a long time.Doing as strategised*.·:·.☽✧ ✦ ✧☾.·:·.*

Despite being knocked down to the floor, Delilah's body possessed some major agility skill, which allowed her to move as a snake. The Slytherin team avalanched the next spells at her, but they underestimated her abilities. In a swiftful roll she avoided Dmitri's spell and as she attempted to stand back on her feet, Ruby's spell hit her, but not hard enough. Delilah is back in the action!

With her teeth clenched together, she got back up, dodging out of the way of the spell that the elder slytherin had sent her way. Before making it back to her feet. Her wand still held tightly in her hand. She watched, ready for Ruby's attack and tried to get out of the way of that one as well. But wasn't as successful, this one hitting her left arm. She was going to be absolutely coated in bruises by the end of today. It was mildly worrisome.sorry meant to reply earlier but had some laptop issues
