Richard loves quidditch and wants to be in the gryffindor team, but since he is in first year he isn't allowed to play so in his leisure time or when he has a free period he often visits the trophy room, today while he was visiting he finds himself alone, he starts his usual routine by reading about the past quidditch players, houses trophies and watching portraits while reading their details, as he was just walking around the room and keeping his focus on the portraits and their details, his attention was caught by the thing on which he was about to step, it was a book, or more accurately a notebook he opens it up and reads its title "Quidditch, From Start To End", he wonders "Hm.. who wrote this notebook" he looks for the name of the author but was unable to find it, he just saw an initial at the center of the first page "-R", he finds a place to sit there and starts reading he was amazed that this notebook really covers from very basic moves and their details with the detailed examples of actual facts which were used in game to the most advanced level, as Richard was about to finish the basic section, the creaking voice of the door caught his attention, he saw a hufflepuff girl enters the trophy room, Richard watched her for a minute or two and the returns his attention back to the notebook.

She would be honest, Rosie wanted a spot in the Trophy Room someday.
Well, not specifically her, but her house. Hufflepuffs were great at Quidditch, apparently. Clown on them all you want, but they had a good winning streak, and Rosie held pride in that. Even if she was benched for most of it. Her cheers helped, definitely! Positive motivation did wonders! But anyway, she entered the Trophy Room, and saw a young boy looking through the books. It's not like she had anything better to do for the moment!
Rosie made her way over to the Gryffindor. She wore a cardigan over her uniform button up, and yellow plaid skirt. She moved some curly brown hair out of her eyes before looking down at the boy who had been reading since she had stepped foot in the room. "Whatcha readin'? I didn't know people came here to do that. Missing out on a real party." She joked with a small grin, crouching down next him and resting her arms on her knees. "Quidditch... Start to End. I didn't know you could learn Quidditch by reading." She was quite the chatterbox, but it was normal. That habit of hers never seemed to leave.

Richard removes his attention from the notebook and looks up to find a girl with curly brown hair wearing a cardigan over her uniform and a yellow plaid skirt, kneeling and looking at the note book which he found there and have been reading for a while now, he answers her question with a smile "nah its not some curriculum note book, I found it here and I don't know who it's owner is, this note book is about Quidditch and is really well written."
Richard then moves to the side slightly and offers her to sit "come sit, let's have a look at this," as well as introduces himself with a warm smile and tells her why this notebook fascinates him "I am Richard, and yeah I know one cannot learn Quidditch by just reading, yet this notebook is really helpful for students like me who love this game and want to join a Quidditch team."
he flips back pages to show her the index page and traces his finger from start to the end "see these all are the skills from basic to most advanced, and this notebook points out every detail about them as well as provide instructions to perform them successfully."

She tilted her head when the younger boy mentioned that he didn't know who the book's owner was. Maybe it was something someone lost while they were here last? Did they have a place to drop off lost things? She didn't know! But the boy did offer for her to sit down, so she did! She lowered to the ground next to him, crossing her legs and setting her bag into her lap as she peered at the words. She wasn't the best at keeping herself focused while reading, especially with Quidditch. Which is why she preferred being out in the action to learn faster. Though half the time, she was benched anyway.
"This is incredibly detailed.." She echoed, following when he would point to different words. "I wonder if Quidditch athletes use these types of notes to help their technique." That'd be incredibly interesting, but probably unlikely. You can't learn how to avoid a hit from a Beater by reading, that's something you gotta experience. "This is a cool book you found, though. Hopefully you find the owner at some point, they're probably looking for this." She said with a nod, moving some hair out of her eyes before smiling at the boy. "What's your name? I'm Rosie, a Hufflepuff."

Richard smiles and replies to Rosie "I don't know if athletes use these notebooks or not but it seems like it is written for the person who wants to teach Quidditch." He shows concern about the owner as well "Yeah I also think they will be looking for it, and I wanna return it to them as well but its been almost two hours now I have been sitting here with notebook, even before you arrived. good thing I have a great memory and enough love for the game that I have memorized everything in this book." he paused for minute and exclaims with slightly evil grin "how about I hold on to this till I copy its whole content in my notebook."
As Rosie introduced herself Richard introduces himself as well "I am Richard, 1st Year Gryffindor." Richard looked at her like he was trying to memorize her face, "wait I remember you now, you are a Quidditch player, I saw you from the stands practicing with your teammates."
He feels delighted to meet a Quidditch player so he tried to persuade Rosie about training him for the game then winks and chuckles "You may be helping the next Quidditch prodigy, if you agree."

Oh, that would make more sense. After all, a teacher needs a reference when coaching. What better than an overly detailed book about Quidditch? It solved most things. If Rosie was a coach, she couldn't possibly reach for it all by memory. She was impressed by the boy's eagerness to learn, Richard had insisted that he could copy it from memory. Rosie shrugged. "If you can, that'd be great for you and for whoever's missing that! Man, I wish I had a memory like that'd. I'd have Os in every class." It was mostly because Rosie struggled with focusing. She was quite the chatterbox in class and was usually making her friends laugh when she was supposed to be doing work.
He... Recognized her? Rosie's eyes might as well have had stars. She didn't think anyone saw her on the field since her time was so limited. "Really?? That's so nice! I'm glad someone saw me, I don't usually end up in the sky for too long. But I cherish the time while I have it, I like watching my friends play too. The Hufflepuffs are super good at Quidditch. Our old seeker, Serena, was AMAZING." She gushed, shaking her head. "I don't mean to brag, sorry, I think I'm just proud of my team." She beamed proudly.
The next Quidditch prodigy, huh? Rosie blinked before smiling. "I hope to see you out there, then! I bet you're gonna be great. Just remember, you can read a bunch, but it's important to actually experience the game to really learn, alright?"

Richard noticed Rosie praising his memory, he blushed a little because usually he is an introvert normally and don't tell others about his gifted memory he just blurted it out as he feels comfortable around her talking about Quidditch, He exclaims "isn't Quidditch a beautiful game, it brings people closer and talking about it makes you feel comfortable ?" Richard tells a trick to Rosie about how she can remember things better "you can remember anything well if you read it and focus on it as it is written in song lyrics, at first it may feel weird or awkward but if you keep that aside you will see that you can remember anything and yeah it will take some time to get used to it it took me two whole years till it gets second to my nature."
Richard laughs at her apology "No, its alright as a Hufflepuff you feel pride in your team, same goes with me I am proud of my house team. and what ever happens on the pitch it stays at pitch, in Hogwarts we all are friends."
Richards laughs and winks "Yup you can bet on that for sure" he smiles back at Rosie's suggestion and replies "yup I will keep it in mind, I want to be in the team and I can't wait to play that's why I asked you to train me until we are allowed on the pitch"

If you focus on it with song lyrics, huh? It sounded kind of silly, but Rosie never really thought the way she dealt with various things was anything less than silly. So this wasn't too far off her brand anyway. Though she'd probably seem a little crazy, humming things she was trying to remember. Regardless, maybe it would help her in the future with trying to focus. Plus, it seemed to help this kid, who seemed to be a few years younger than her. "You know what? That sounds kinda fun, maybe I'll try doing that for some of my other assignments. I don't do well with focusing for too long, so maybe it'll cement some ideas in my brain." She smiled awkwardly, sticking up a thumb at him in encouragement.
In Hogwarts, we are all friends. It was a very stereotypical Hufflepuff thing to say, which is probably why it made Rosie smile so much. In the end, he was right. Rosie grew competitive over the game, but it never made her end relationships with people. Some people took it too far, but that couldn't be helped. In the end, it was just a game. "You're right. Some people might take it a little too far, but it feels like that takes too much energy out of you. I like just seeing it as a game." She beamed.
This kid wanted Rosie to train him? Her? The one who was, for the majority of the matches, on the bench? She laughed awkwardly, even though pride was swelling in her. He must've thought she was a great player. Alas, Rosie wasn't the best, she needed more time in the air. "I'm honored, really. I could show you a few things but I'm usually on the bench." She rubbed her head lightly.

Richard smiles and gave back a thumbs up at Rosie's encouragement, he was just happy to be helpful to some one he tells her that "I feel happy when I get to help others."
Richard's smile brightens up when Rosie agrees to his comment about the game he seconds Rosie's thoughts and added "Yeah I don't get it why people take it too far, It's just a game which starts and ends on the pitch, if a person can't show sportsmanship he/she should stop playing then."
Richard laughs at Rosie's confession and pats her back without thinking about it "Ha ha it will work for me since I have no experience, because I know that even a benched player is good in basics, it's the most important of all because if one cannot master the basics he can't perform at advance level, just take an example of words and sentences, you cant form a sentence or even words if you don't remember alphabets well enough"
As Richard finishes talking he saw Rosie's expression and realizes that he was patting her and immediately apologizes "Uh.. Oh.. I shouldn't have done that.. I am really really sorry about that.. just got carried away there for a while."

He had a point.
If you couldn't play Quidditch without dealing with losing, then you shouldn't be playing at all. Because the losses would come. Since she was on the Hufflepuff Quidditch team, she didn't have to deal with losing that much. But if they did, Rosie would probably be kind of upset about it for maybe a few seconds. But it would be because she didn't do more herself. "Yeah, definitely. If you can't deal with losing there's no point in playing." She smiled awkwardly, leaning back on her hands for a second and letting out a yawn.
She blinked when he patted her back, forcing her to sit back up again as she turned to look at him. Again, her chest swelled with pride. This kid trusted her even though she was on the bench. She couldn't really say no to that, could she? She knew the basics. She smiled a bit and nodded. "Alright, if you say so. I can show you the basics, definitely, I'm on the Quidditch field pretty often, so if you find me on there I can definitely show you just how to fly. But it'd probably be good to ask a professor about that, too. The flying one, mainly." She grinned.
"Oh, don't worry about it! Back pats are nice, don't stress on it. I didn't really think about it." She stuck up a thumb.
