It was 7:15 PM, and Hildegard was inside the Astronomy Tower she was visiting all the places of Hogwarts in order never to get lost and this time it was this place's turn.
But as she came here she was stunned by the view it had and unconsciously decided to stay there for a bit just enjoying the view the tower gave her.
Anyway even if she wanted to go back the her common room or to the great hall she would not be able to as her body was tired from all the stairs she had to go through, not to mention it was harder with her limping leg.
Slytherin's common room was beautiful even if it's placement gave it a reputation of being sinister, but this, this was another kind of beauty.
As she was contemplating Hildegard wondered how the common rooms of the other houses looked like.

-Maybe I should ask people from the other houses, I have heard that Ravenclaw have the best common room and dorms out of all the houses, the little witch thought.

Hildegard sat on the ground and enjoyed the view forgetting about the time and the people surrounding her, this place might become her favorite place topping even the outside grounds.

Lorelei dashed through the long halls of Hogwarts, searching each and every classroom for her book bag. She'd left it somewhere, but she was sure which class she'd left it in. It was late, she had homework to finish, and she was doing her best to avoid Professors and Prefects as she searched the school. She made her way up the staircase towards the Astronomy Tower, movinging up the tall, spiraling stairs as quickly as she could, hoping her bag would be in there. She made it to the top of the staircase, and tugged on the door. It didn't open, so she tried pushing on it. Nothing. It must have been locked. Lorelei started knocking, not too loudly, so that she didn't get any unwanted attention from patroling professors or prefects, but loud enough, she hoped, to get the attention of any professor or student who may have been in the tower.

"Hello? Professor Karr? I think I've left my bookbag in here, may I enter and grab it real quick? It has my Potions essay that's due tomorrow" She called out. "I won't be long, I promise" she continued knocking and tugging on the door hopefully, trying to get in.

Unknown to either of them, a student was tucked away in the corner of the classroom. She was barely visible from where Hildegarde was sitting, and she was working silently. Unless someone were to look carefully around the room, she would not have been noticed. Amanda was currently bent over a desk, surrounded with books and papers. She was deep in her work, writing an assignment for some class. She liked to work here best, because not many people took the effort to climb the extensive stairs. She had no clue if being here was against the rules or not, but in case, she kept the door propped open on a door stop, so it wouldn't close completely. She did this, because she did know that the door locked with magic. The Gryffindor common room was usually too loud to focus in. She could have gone to the library, but the stars above her were calming, and helped her to get her work done much quicker.

She was interrupted abruptly by banging on the door. She stood up, her heart beating fast from the startle. She only now noticed that another student was admiring the view from the tower, furrowing her brows. How did she not notice when that girl came in? She wondered, hoping she wouldn't startle her as she went to go open the door. She shrugged it off, getting out of her chair and going to the door. She also wondered why it wasn't opening.

Amanda tugged at the door, it not budging. "Hold on! I think the door is stuck!" She shouted to the girl on the other side. She saw the door stop she'd placed, it was stuck between the door and the wall. She bent down, wiggling it a bit to get it unstuck. She then swung the door open.

Lorelei stumbled into the classroom as a girl she'd not seen before swung the door open.
"Oh! Sorry. I just left my school stuff in here earlier, I think." she ducked inside awkwardly, "I've got some work to finish, I won't be long" she headed to where she'd worked during class earlier. Spotting her woven book bag, she grabbed it and spun around to leave, when she reconized the Slytherin girl sitting on tthe balcony.
"Hildegard?" she asked, suprised, to see her in the Astronomy Tower this late. Then again, Lorelei technically shouldn't be up here either. "From the train? Hi! Funny running into you up here" she laughed, excited to see someone she recognized. "Have you been enjoying school? How's Slytherin? Have you seen the others since the Sorting? Katie's Slytherin too, so you're in the same dorm right?" Lorelei paused and laughed awkwardly "Sorry, I'm rambling. Again. I should give you a chance to answer before I start the next question" she rubbed her arm sheepishly and started playing with the handle of her book bag.

As Hildegard was contemplating, noises disturbed her so she got up to go see what the hell was happening.
She came close to the classroom and noticed Lorelei the girl from the Hogwarts Express which she told to shut up.
The Ravenclaw was trying to enter the classroom of the Astronomy tower without success, seeing that Hildegard came closer by limping.
As she closed the gap a voice could be heard.

-I've have heard it somewhere Hildegard thought.

She finally saw who the voice belonged to, the girl from the train, as soon as they met eyes the girl started talking and talking and talking.
Hildegard could only hear half of it so she decided to reply with something generic.

-Hey ! Yea things have been going good ! How are you doing ? the Slytherin asked.

As she was limping toward the Ravenclaw, she thought it would be a nice occasion to ask about Ravenclaw's common room.

-How is the Ravenclaw's common room ? I heard their dorm and common room are the most beautiful of all common room and dorm of Hogwarts.

As she got close enough she noticed that Lorelei was trying to do something.

-Hum, what are you trying to do ? May I help you ? I still have two functional arms if needed, also got a multifunction staff that follow me everywhere She said, trying to joke about her leg even if it painted to have it.

Amanda suddenly felt out of place. The girl she had just let into the classroom started to ask the other girl question upon question. They started their own conversation, leaving her standing there awkwardly. The two girls already knew each other, what did that mean for her? She pondered if she should just introduce herself, but what if they resented her for interrupting her conversation? She wondered and wondered before deciding.

She'd always felt awkward around people that had previously known each other. She always felt like she was intruding on someone else's conversation and that they might not want her there. She sincerely hoped this was not the case, and hoped to possibly make some new friends. She could use them, as making friends had not been her first priority over the past few weeks. She had just realized this mistake, and had been upset over the fact that it might be too late.

"H-hi! I don't think I've met either of you before, actually." She gave a small smile, hoping to come off as approachable. "I'm Amanda, what are your names..?" She put her hands behind her back, fiddling with the ends of her sleeves nervously.

Lorelei grinned. She was correct in believing she recognized Hildegard and hadn't made herself seem completely stupid "I'm good. Doing well in class so far. The common room is beautiful! there's walls of bookshelves and our ceiling is an observatory!" she responded to Hildegard's questions "Huh?" She glanced down when Hildegard asked if she could help Lorelei "Oh! No, sorry, I'm just fidgeting. Thank's for offering though" The other girl in the room spoke up, introducing herself. Lorelei didn't recognize her, but she had let Lorelei into the tower to grab her bag. It would have been rude just to completely ignore her.

"Hi Amanda" she said "I'm Lorelei. First year, Ravenclaw." She noticed the Griffindor crest on Amanda's robes "Oh, a Griffindor huh? Cool" she continued playing with her bag straps as the girls talked. "Thanks for letting me in!" she said to Amanda "This has all my books and homework, so it's pretty important. Plus some of my stuff for my extra project is in here." Lorelei paused for a moment and dug through her bag, making sure nothing had fallen out of it. "Yep, all here" she whispered to herself. She smiled, focusing back in on the conversation.

Hildegard was keeping away from the inside of the classroom, she was scared that some teacher would reprimand her from being inside of it while not having class.

-Oh, you're really lucky Lorelei, I envy you, our common room is underground, the worst of them all i think even tho i did not visit the others.By the way no need to apologize i w...would have gladly helped ! The Slytherin replied.

She then turned to the Gryffindor one, Hildegard was quite scared of Gryffindor's member as it was said that Slytherin and Gryffindor were enemies. She looked fearfully at her, thinking about what Katie said about Gryffindor student being stupid and rule breaker. Hildegard thought that the school rules would not protect her from Amanda as she probably did not care about the rules.

-H...h...h...hi, I...I'm Hildegard Schneider, in Slytherin, a...and a pure blood wizard ! The Slytherin claimed trying to sound like someone no one should mess with in order to protect herself.

Even tho to be fair her fear and stuttering made it look like a ridiculous pure blood supremacist, and she kind of felt that too but now could not undo her mistake.
She thought she may had worsen her case.

She smiled at Lorelei, glad that she ended up being friendly to her. "Hi! It's great to meet you!" Her fears were gone as she realized that they were both quite friendly.

"O-oh, of course! I have everything in my back pack too, I don't know what I'd do without it, honestly." She laughed a little, lightening the mood. "I'm glad that everything you were looking for is still there! The only thing is, is that I don't know if we're technically allowed to be up here alone.. But I'm sure it's fine for right now." She smiled, shrugging it off before turning to Hildegard.

She noticed her strange demeanor, as if she had something to prove. Especially at the mention of her being a pure blood. Amanda wondered why that was relevant to her, the argument of Gryffindor and Slytherin being enemies never having even crossed her mind. She decided to put it aside, and be friendly nonetheless. She could use friends from all the houses. Amanda smiled, holding her hand out to Hildegard in a friendly manner.

"It's nice to meet you too!" She exclaimed, hoping the Slytherin would show her friendliness back.

Lorelei smiled "I'm sure it's not the worst common room" she told Hildegard "Green is a nice color, though I do perfer cooler colors, so it may just be me. The only real reason I wouldn't want to be in Griffindor is all the red in the dorms. Plus, your dorm is close to the potions room, which is closer to a class than Ravenclaw is." She laughed "Though I am probably the only one who cares about that" She turned back to Amanda

"It's nice to meet you too! I think you're right, we're probably not supposed to up here. We're probably okay for now though." Lorelei glanced back and forth between Hildegard and Amanda as Hildegard introduced herself, wondering if house rivalry would rear its ugly head. She hoped not, Ravenclaw was generally not involved and she didn't want to get dragged into a fight. She spoke up

"So, are you a first year too?" She asked, grabbing the first topic she could think of to change the subject and avoid a confrontation, hoping that finding something in common could defuse a potential conflict. Maybe if a peaceful conversation started they could all end up friends instead of enemies.
