Courageous or cowardice? pv henry Closed

Henry creep from his bed early that morning to head out to the grounds, specifically his spot at the black lake and think for a while. Henry moved at a fast pace as he had his slytherin robes off and hanging over his right shoulder with only his right hand holding them their and his slytherin uniform shirt seemed to be neat along with his pants but there wasn't any belt in sight and his tie was hanging undone are his neck.

Henry was lucky enough to get out to the grounds and down to the black lake before anyone else, he took the short walk to his spot which was a giant oak tree near the edge of the black lake. Henry smiled at the sight before walking toward it and leaning his head on the trunk, he watched the black lake for a few moments and for once everything seemed peaceful and perfect. It reminded Henry of his time there with Logan not to long before and the thought just bought him to peace as he started on a walk around the great lake.

There wasn't many people there and Henry hardly came across anyone which pleased the second year but eventually he heard a voice call out, wolfie, Henry looked around and wondered who that was. When he did, he saw Aurélie and assumed it was her and she was referring to him as he waited where he stood and heard her speak again in which Henry spoke " hey Aurélie," Henry offered the girl a smile before continuing " I didn't expect to find you here this early, I'm glad I did through."

Henry looked at the lake before back at Aurélie and how her brown eyes seemed to glow gold, something that Henry always admired about the first year among other things, Henry then spoke " I feel we barley seen each other since the start of term, how are you Aurélie?"

As Henry walked over to the Gryffindor girl, she felt her heart racing faster and her palms start to sweat. Keep cool Auri, it’s just a question. Just a normal, daring and possible awkward question.. The girl wondered how to start the conversation and get to the subject she wanted to talk about but she was saved when Henry responded to her call. Aurélie smiled at him when he spoke; “I didn’t expect to find you here this early, I’m glad I did though. I feel we’ve barely seen each other since the start of term, how are you Aurélie?” The sound of his voice when he spoke her name made her heart jump a little. She ignored how her nerves began to grow and focussed on the present.

She answered; “I thought I could find you here so I thought I'd get up early and go for a stroll. Yeah, I feel the same although we saw each other at the first Pack meeting it still feels like we haven’t hung out in ages. I’m good, really. Homework is keeping me busy but I can’t complain. I’m a bit worried about Nanna though. She’s still ill and it doesn’t seem to get better for now..” The girl glanced to the Black Lake as she saw movement in the corner of her eye. A couple of birds flew over close to the water as if they were looking for fish to catch. In a big swoop they flew upwards again and flew to the next body of water they could find. Aurélie glanced back at the Slytherin and asked; “How have you been? How has it been with your family? Have you heard anything from your dad's family, if I may ask?”

While Aurélie listened to Henry respond, she munched on her berries. She held the box of berries up to Henry to hint if he would like some blueberries, raspberries or blackberries.

Henry listened to Aurélie speak as he just smiled and waited patiently when she finished, Henry wasn't sure how to or if he should respond. A few topic she spoke about he thought he should speak about like that pack meeting and not seeing each other much but then the topic on her Nanna was different since he could tell that was a sensitive topic for her but at the same time wanted to say something to show her that he cared so after some consideration Henry then spoke " yeah we should differently make some time to meet each other Aurélie and not just at club meetings because I did miss talking to you," Henry offered her a smile before continuing " and I'm sorry to hear about your Nanna but hopefully she gets better if she's as strong and brave as you then I know that she will."

Henry look over at the black lake as a few ripples of water sent the waves to drift just a few inches from where they stood. It was nice being out there so early in the morning with just one's thoughts or a good friend, speaking of when Aurélie started speaking again Henry turned to looked at her in her golden like eyes as he listened. Henry would have rather not have her asked her last question but he was a bit to kind to say anything so he just smiled and after some times thinking, he replied " I been fine not much has happen really, my family been fine to I guess. Arthur is seeing if he could skip to his third year of auror training since this is his second year and Anna be uh fine I guess. We haven't heard any information which is a good thing I guess," Henry really didn't know what else to say so he didn't say anything else.

He saw the young girl offer him some of her berries but not wanting to intrude he only took a single BlackBerry as he spoke " thanks so how has Hogwarts been? How has being gryffindor been and your classes?" Henry then popped the berry into his mouth as he listened to Aurélie speak.

Aurélie felt comforted by Henry’s word about Nanna. “Thank you Henry. I can really use your kind words.” He also mentioned he missed talked to her and wanted to meet up more. Which gave her a funny feeling in her stomach. She responded with: “I missed you too. Uh- I mean- I missed talking to you, ahem-“ Stupid stupid stupid… Get yourself together, just ask him!

Aurélie prepared her question in her mind while she listened to Henry talk about his family. He seemed to come over somewhat unsure of what to say to the girl. “Does Anna go to a Muggle school then? Is she studying anything specific?” Aurélie knew Anna was important to the Slytherin and she was curious to know him better so she frequently asked about his family.

When the girl offered him some berries, he picked a blackberry out of the tray and spoke; “Thanks, so how has Hogwarts been? How has Gryffindor been and your classes?” Aurélie thought about what to say for a second and answered; “It’s been alright, I’m still getting the hang of the castle. It has so many stairs and classrooms. Thankfully, we have prefects to guide us around or I would get lost on a daily basis.” She hesitated a moment but after taking a silent, deep breath she got to why she was there; “Actually, Henry…” She looked him in the eyes and smiled as she spoke nervously; “I came to find you here because I would like to ask you something…” Aurélie put the box of berries down and put her hands on her thighs, she rubbed her sweaty palms on her school robes and continued; “So, you’ve probably heard there is an event coming up for Halloween. Kind of a Ball I suppose.. And uh- I wondered, well I hoped maybe-“ She looked back at Henry and tucked a pluck of hair behind her ear then added; “Ahem, what I’m actually trying to ask is if you would perhaps want to join me at the Autumn Ball? As.. my date?” Aurélie’s nerves had grown stronger now that she had asked him. Preparing the question was one thing but waiting for an answer was another. She looked back at the Great Lake to avoid Henry’s eye contact. Those bright blue eyes usually made her feel calm and at peace but at this moment they felt like lasers burning into her face. She felt her cheeks glow redder by the second and furiously hoped he would answer quickly.

Henry smiled at Aurélie comment before awkwardly adding another part and Henry just smiled at her as he spoke " yeah no problem and don't worry because I missed talking to you as well Aurélie," he gave her a smile before looking at lake again and hearing her next question on his twin, Henry looked around and wasn't sure how to answer before speaking " Anna did attend muggle secondary school at Liverpool but after some accidents she stopped. I don't really know what the of accidents and either does Arthur but now she studies at home and mostly just the lessons we did when we were younger nothing special."

Henry gave her a smile but really didn't like talking about his twin since the two were never that close and now that he was at Hogwarts, Henry was drifting farther away from Annabeth which he thought was his fault. Henry listened to her comment on Hogwarts and gryffindor in which he then replied with a smile, " that's good and you can always ask me if you need any help Aurélie," he gave her a smile but then listened as Aurélie spoke that she needs to ask him something in which he nodded, " alright, what do you have to ask me Aurélie?"

Henry listened to Aurélie and was taken back for she asked him to the Autumn ball, the ball that he was going with Miranda his girlfriend to. Henry felt awkward as he held his arms together and looked down a bit before speaking and giving her a small smile, " Aurélie I'm really sorry b..but- but I'm already going with someone... my girlfriend; Miranda," Henry felt bad and didn't like hurting on of his friends so he then spoke quickly " but you can still join us as a friend and we can still hang out together at the ball? If you want Aurélie?"
