Rosie felt a small gasp escape her lips as she approached the Great Lake. It was beautiful. Rosie walked across the grass, her light brown hair following behind her. She put her hands into her robe pockets and gazed out into the distance above the beautiful water, she sat down on the grass, at the edge of the water. She brushed some hair behind her ear and let out a sigh. The past days had been... Chaotic.

She reflected over the few days that she had spent in Hogwarts. So far, she had met amazing people, and experienced unreal situations in almost every room she entered. It was mindbogglingly how much Rosie had learned in just a few days. Rosie smiled at the memory of her and Clary running down the halls to the Hospital wings, or the encounter she had with her new group of friends in the Study room, or when she danced with Anatole in the ballroom. It had all been so much so quickly, but would the good moments last? It all seemed to good to be true. Hogwarts was a school, afterall. Is a school really that good all the time? It couldn't be. Rosie knew that. But regardless, she pushed the thoughts out. It'd be fine.

Max was in a foul mood when he marched down to the lake, going because some Gryffindors had mentioned how it had been 'beautiful and peaceful.' He probably needed some peace in his life after the whirlwind of the past of few days, but the truth was that he wasn't going to the lake for tranquility. He was going so he could sit alone and think - think! not sulk! - and possibly come up with some answers about how to make friends in the house he should've been sorted into.

So it wasn't exactly the ideal situation when some ridiculously happy girl was right around a solitary place that looked good to sit. A scowl crossed his face and he drew in a ragged breath, his vision zeroing in on her instead of the surrounding beauty. Some Hufflepuff, and based on what he'd seen, Hufflepuffs were annoyingly friendly to the point where it made him want to be sick. Didn't they understand that life wasn't all 'happy-go-lucky-bloody-gleeful'?

"Hey, you," Max snapped, resisting the urge to get out his wand and teach her the hard way not to look so happy. "You're in my spot." Not that he'd actually had time to claim a spot anywhere, but she didn't need to know that. "You move, or I move you for you."

Rosie do you still want me to be in this thread? If not I can delete my post.
Eri had been walking while reading and heard the boy snap at the girl. She smiled to herself. That girl seemed to happy for Eri's liking. She groaned a bit realizing they were both where she liked to read. She pulled out her wand. "Expelliarmus." She muttered firing a shot right between rosie and max as a warning shot. She smirked. Not wanting to ruin the moment she pointed her wand right at Max "Both of you. That was a warning shot next time I won't miss. Now that is  where I normally read my book so leave." Her voice was harsh and she glared at them. She didn't really want to fight so she put her wand back away and looked back down at her book and continued reading.

She had read this book before since it was her history of magic book. She was in no mood to talk to people. If they didn't leave she would fire another spell. She wasn't afraid to do it either. So she read while she waited for the two others to leave.

Rosie’s head snapped to the two, normally she probably should’ve been scared, but she grinned. Rosie wasn’t intimidated, she was entertained. She turned to the more angry fella and stood up. “I don’t see your name anywhere on the grass, man. So I think you can pretty much sit anywhere here. And I’ll continue to sit here! Thank you.” Rosie blew a kiss and sat back down. Secretly, she kinda regretted saying that, she’d probably get beat up eventually for even trying to back talk someone like that, but regardless, Rosie turned her back to them and stared at the water like she was previously doing, as if the two never approached her in the first place.

Besides, Rosie was right, their names weren’t anywhere, nothing to claim that the spot was their’s, they could easily just... sit next to her! Hey, maybe they could settle their differences and be friends! Rosie liked that idea a lot more.

However, the first boy did threaten to move Rosie. She wasn’t necessarily scared. They were both kids, how much could he actually move her? Rosie kinda scored away from where the other girl shot, scooting away. This was fine. Rosie went back to her regular scheduled gazing.

Max danced back from where the spell had hit the ground, eyes narrowing in frustration as the one girl spoke harshly and the other one didn't seem to give a crap about what he'd said. He ought to teach the both of them a lesson with one of those spells his parents had shown him. They wouldn't be so bloody cavalier about this whole thing then! But no... he'd only heard the spells and had never had time to practice them, let alone master them. The girl with the book likely had more mastery than him at this rate, as infuriating as it was.

"I'll leave you to read," Max conceded, shrugging like it was no big deal. "Once that girl is gone. She insulted me and I can't just let her do that without doing something about it." Best to play on Reading Girl's good side until he learned enough spells to defend himself. He had no such qualms about being on Smiling Girl's bad side, though. He marched up to Smiling Girl, feeling weary as he stared her down. He could shove her over or hit her, but that felt a little too much. Instead he leaned down so they were eye-to-eye, tilting his head to one side.

"I know three spells. One can make you dance around like a spider until I decide to crush you. One can have you screaming bloody murder for the next week in the school's infirmary. And the third one won't let you move until I think you should. I like the third one the best, so I hope you enjoy water; if you don't move in the next three seconds, I'll put you in the lake and keep you under the water until you learn some manners." Technically that was true; he know of the spells. Reaching out, he flicked her in the forehead with a single finger. "So bugger off. And stop smiling."

Rosie let out a squeal, holding her head and wincing. That hurt. Her eyes watered a bit. Now? Rosie was upset. How DARE he just march over to her and demand her to move. What was she, a dog that he thought she could order around? But at the same time, Rosie was hurt. She didn't deserve this, did she?

No. No she didn't.

"How about YOU listen!" She pointed her finger at the boy. "I don't know who you think you are, but I know you can't come over here and threaten me! Th-That's... Mean! You're mean! And people who are mean don't get any friends! S-So even if you push me into the water or whatever, you're just gonna have to answer to someone! An-And nobody's gonna defend you! Cause you're a meanie!" She yelled, her fists clenched.

Rosie had no tolerance for rude people. Was she hurt? Sure. Was she gonna be sad about this experience later? Of course. But she was not about to deal with threats. Not today. Not ever. She wasn't to be underestimated, she knew that. Rosie wasn't gonna build that reputation.

She might've been the bubbly, optimistic, and talkative girl to her peers, but that didn't make her weak. Especially to someone like this.

"S-So do something! I dare you!"

Eri put her book in her bag and walked over to the two bickering children. She looked flustered. She had come outside to get rid of her anger and they were only making it worse. "STOP IT!" She yelled at the two. "I only came out here to let some steam off and my reading gets interupted by you two! Plus mean kids actually do have friends." She was glaring at rosie. "I should know. Lots of mean kids at my home are very popular." She was very mad at rosie. Then she turned to max. "I know more than three spells so if you two won't stop bickering I might use one. You guys are ridiculous. Acting like muggle children who don't know shat magic is." She sighed and stepped back. She probably over did it with the muggle thing. If she knew correctly Zmax was a pure blood.

She sighed out of breath and smiled. She felt better getting all of that anger out. She just hoped Max didn't hate her for that. Well she didn't care what he thiught about her since she juat met him. She also thought rosie was way to happy. She beeded to grow up.

Rosie was startled by Eri suddenly yelling, but turned to her and glared. "And YOU!" She pointed. "You're no better than him! 'Mean kids have friends', BARELY any of us have friends right now, nonetheless a meanie like him, and I bet you're the same! You come over here acting like you're better than us, but you're the same as him!" She snapped, picking up her bag. "You know what? I'll happily leave! Because I don't deserve yours, or HIS, negative energy! Go waste it on someone who cares!" Rosie concluded with that, slinging her bag over her shoulder. "I'm already sick of people like you. You act like we're not all children." She glared at Eri.

Again, Rosie had no tolerance for rude people. Especially for people like Eri. Because people like Eri thought they were better than everyone else. In reality, they were all just 1st year starter wizards who barely have any friends to begin with! Much less someone like Max, who goes around threatening people. The only people who would want to be friends with someone like Max, are rude people! Like him! And that's what Rosie honestly though. And she was not afraid to express that again. Rosie, even at such a young age, had no patience for people who would just insult other people for existing.

Max wrinkled his nose at all the yelling, his ears heating up at all the insults hurled his way. He was acting like a muggle? And he'd never have any friends because he was mean? He wanted to yell back at both girls, maybe shove them both in the lake for upsetting him so much. But it would be childish, and Rosie was right about one thing; he'd likely get in trouble. Neither of those things would be something his parents would appreciate.

"You - " He leveled a finger at Rosie, voice shaking with the effort to keep his temper in check. " - you're the daftest person I've ever met. Mean people are the only kind of people who get friends! Life isn't sunshine and happiness all the time; only stupid people think like that. You'd better watch your back before someone curses it. People like you make me ill." He'd bet any money that she'd learn her lesson even before this year was out.

Rounding on Eri, Max had to take several deep breaths before he was calm enough to speak, his ears still redder than the Hogwarts Express. "And I don't care if you know ten thousand spells. If you ever say I'm acting like a muggle again, I'll hit you. Don't think I won't. I'm not some filthy Mudblood who'll take you dishonouring my family and I like that." He grimaced, crossing his arms tightly as he looked between both girls. Though he was upset with Eri's insult, at least she understood where muggles stood. That was what prompted him to step slightly closer to her, standing like he was with her against Rosie. "Even so, you're right about mean kids having friends." He glared at Rosie, scowling. "Her and I can agree on that, at least. Who's gonna agree with you about anything around here?"

Rosie glared at the finger, before looking back up at Max. The muggle-blood talk was making her angrier. How dare they even bring that into it? Muggle-bloods had a right to be a wizard just as anyone else did. She took a slow breath and clenched her fists, her eyes piercing. "I'm... ALLOWED to think how I please. YOU'RE the one trying to tell me who's wrong. So if anyone's the stupid one, maybe it's you?" She tilted her head at him.

Rosie saw him get closer to the other girl, knowing she was alone in the argument. She didn't care. "I don't need anyone to agree with me, I just know your side of the argument is stupid and judgemental. I despise people like you. Using people's blood as insults. Do you think you're better than them in any way? You think you're superior?" She took a few steps towards Max, glaring. "You say people like me make you ill." Rosie was basically talking through her teeth. "But people like you make me sick. You and that stuckup imbecile next to you. You both think you're better than someone else." Rosie shoved past them harshly and turned around, facing them once again. "If you're so disgusted with my prescence, how about you just do me the last favor, since I'll never be speaking to YOU ever again, and take your... Your meanie self, somewhere else." Rosie glared to Eri. "You too."
