AURA Meeting #1
@Flash Holmwood
Lorelei had been seeing the flyers for this AURA group for a while now. She'd been considering the idea of going for a few weeks, and finally made up her mind to go. She wove her way through the corridors, making her way to the classroom it was said to be in. Finally, she spotted the door with a piece of paper declaring it to be the location of the AURA meeting this quarter.
Lorelei tugged her robe closer around her as she stepped into the room. She placed her wand in the box by the door at the request of the Slytherin boy at the door, who waved her in. She kept her head down and slid into a seat, looking around to see who was there. She didn't see anyone she recognized, and it took all her will power not to pull her pocket book of fairy tales out and start reading
"You're here for a reason" she reminded herself "You're actually going to speak to people talk to someone. Coming here isn't going to do anything if you don't speak." She tried to sit up straighter, taking deep breaths and waiting for someone to notice she was here. A few times, she attempted to get someone's attention, but since she didn't know them, she didn't try to hard. She waited for someone to actually speak to her, figuring that would make it easier.

AURA Meeting #1
While he was hardly inside the room, Flash’s lingering at the door frame wasn’t without listening. He was quite invested in everything going well, after all, and if something went wrong, the other might need him. Because of that, he did a double take when he heard Aurelia begin the discussion. She was being troubled by… her betrothed. His eyes now squarely looking in the room, he wondered if she would continue to open up, or if she needed to be coaxed into it.
Another boy came and dropped off his wand, but before settling in much, he backed out. That was perfectly fine, of course, it was the ability to come and go as they liked that was supposed to make the gathered feel safe. Perhaps it could serve as an example to everyone else that they were allowed to leave at any time, also without judgement.
A young girl came by without saying much, also agreeing to the terms at the door and filtering in. They were getting quite a crowd, though as it was it was still manageable. Still, Henry, May, and the new arrival did not seem at all encouraged to keep the conversation going. Flash couldn’t blame them, Aurelia was a very intimidating figure that might have unintentionally sucked much of the air out of the room. Flash felt some social lubricant was needed, tucking into the room a bit more to speak.
”Your betrothed?” Flash said, his eyebrows raised. ”A bit young for a betrothal, is that the issue you’re having, or something else?”
To the girl who hadn’t spoken at all, Flash looked next.
”And excuse me, I didn’t catch your name. Would you mind introducing yourself?”
Flash would continue listening, but he had to keep an eye on the hallway as well, not committing to being on either side. He had promised he would allow seven people in, though if no more showed, he would also be happy to work with a smaller group. Hopefully, they would be able top flow from one person's concerns to the next, helping each other along the way, but Aurelia's reputation and presence made for something of an early challenge. Nothing Flash couldn't handle.
