This awkward standoff between them seemed to last forever as the crowd were increasingly getting more rowdy from the lack of fighting. After a few minutes Percival looked back at his team mates who were doing the same thing, staring and awaiting a decision that didn't seem to be coming. He sighed and looked back to his opponent, disappointed that she wasn't smart enough to take the easy way out "So it's going to be like this?" he questioned, looking straight into her eyes with some annoyance etching across his facial expressions. Suddenly, the boy would begin to walk straight at her with intent "I'm giving you one last chance to think straight..." he grumbled before trying to grab her by the sleeve of her top as he walked and seemingly tug her to the ropes.
Successful or not, he was determined to get this match over with and get her out unharmed. If she dared choose to go against them once more, Percy had no choice but to let the slaughter happen. If she managed to get away from his grip or lead her to the ropes, Percy would make sure to somewhat remind her of the implications "Do you not see what your doing here Koko? are you not thinking straight? Because you are not only trying to damage yourself but our chances of getting an answer for you! What your doing now is being selfish, and it shows you are not clearly thinking about others." he said with a shake of his head as he stood before her with his guard down unafraid "Say you do get to the next round, what are you going to do against another team by yourself? talk them out of it? take them on by yourself? it wont bloody work!" Percy said with some conviction as he raised a finger to the outside of the ring "Now go, before even I cant help you"

Koko pouted slightly when Dealla mentioned how she didn't seem like much of a fighter. Yes, Koko wasn't necessarily strong, but she could hold out for a long time. Still, three rounds did seem like a lot. Maybe... Maybe she hadn't quite thought this through.
She sighed, refusing to answer Dealla's questions at first. The girl averted her gaze, focused eyes scanning the ring before they widened a small amount. Percival, if that was his name, began talking, and she crossed her arms over her chest, making a small hmph noise as she lifted her chin to stare at him. She'd wanted to attempt to stare him down in a somewhat intimidating manner, but even Koko would admit she wasn't intimidating. Honestly, who would run away from a girl, and a short one at that?
She snorted in a very unladylike manner when Percival called Victor a prick, and she could feel her slight anger beginning to fade. They were just kids, really. Kids, who, like her, had been drawn to this place because of curiosity. "Well," said Koko, "I-"
Her speech was abruptly cut off by icy fear, and she blinked owlishly, her mouth opening in the shape of a small O when Percival advanced towards her. Koko bit back a scream when he grabbed at her sleeve, and she attempted to wrench her arm out of his grasp. "You don't just try to grab someone!" she said indignantly, glaring at him. "Besides," she said, "Who's to tell me you'd make it, anyway? You don't seem like much more of a fighter than I am." She quirked an eyebrow, attempting to will her expression into a wall of stone (although she probably failed). "You're hardly more likely to beat Victor than I am, really." Although her words seemed sceptical, Koko tilted her head in consideration - after all, actions spoke far better than words. "I'd be careful if you make any promises."Interacting with @Percival Gray and mentioning @Dealla Prince

It was almost as if a month had passed for the other teams, some were fighting... this one was at a perennial stand-off. Neither willing to fight, Neither willing to stand down. Both in possession of the delusion that they could make it to the end without getting blood on their hands. They did not seem to care who they were even fighting as @Koko Riddle told @Percival Gray that he was no more likely to defeat Victor, the crispy boy, than she was. A stiff breeze was enough to knock the blood magician to the ground, he was in a crippled, debilitated state. Seemingly near death yet somehow able to stand. He looked far from pleased, his eyes a bright, unearthly green, the only source of fire in the boy.
"I am hardly the challenge," he announced from the sidelines. "But if I must," the edges of his lips twitched downward. A contorted expression of pain he struggled to control. Everything hurt, but the body was second to only the heart. "I could be a formidable opponent," he replied but his voice was dispassionate. words said, meant but there was no threat to them. "Fight or leave, " he continued "it is all the same to me," he lied. "It is the watchers that care." The roar of the crowd dulled, they were restless. A lacking spectacle. There was no show, just two people having a debate about standing down while neither was willing to stand up.
An impasse perhaps.

Dee had stood back quietly while the other two had had their stand-off. Her attempts of reason had gone ignored, so had her questions. She wasn't really sure what more she was supposed to do - barring leaping forward and punching the girl in the stomach, the way she'd done to her.
When her teammate grabbed the girl - Koko - Dealla snorted at her reaction. You don't just grab people, huh? "But punching is okay?" she asked, rolling her eyes and rubbing her hand over her stomach where Koko's fist had connected earlier. Although the gesture was more for theatrics than anything else, it still hurt. Then she dropped the hand, her eyes turning more serious.
"Please, just go?" she asked. While the rest of her teammates hadn't done anything in a while, they were still there: Adonis and Cash. She really didn't understand what hope Koko thought she had if she insisted on a fight. "What's the point in continuing this? Of course we don't know we'll make it, but our chances are a hell of a lot better than yours." Her voice was neutral with those words - it was a fact, not a taunt. She hesitated. "There's no point to us beating each other up, and I'm pretty sure that's a memory we can all live without having." She'd gotten plenty of nightmares over the past year, without adding beating up a fellow student to the mix.

Percy was a man of great patience when it came down to disobedience, but even this was beginning to test him. It was getting to the point where stupidity was the only thing being said, and he greatly doubted that she realised that. The slytherin slowly let go of her clothing and took a step back away from her after some brief resistance, his gaze stuck to her face coldly. If they didn't make it so what? they would have a far better chance of getting there compared to one stupid kid with a death wish. Even after that, she dared to question his fighting ability which she had yet to see yet.
Gray chuckled to himself slightly, not from humour but from the crap that was coming out of her mouth. He had already warned her two times, if the third try didn't work then he would have to do something that was last resort. One delusional girl wasn't going to stop him from getting answers for him and Hogwarts "I never make promises Koko, but I try my damn hardest to make them happen. And hell, even if i'm not as much as a fighter as you think my teammates will make sure to finish the job for me. Believe it or not, this is not about you. Its about protecting the whole of bloody Hogwarts and it's people, yet you fail to see that..." he said passionately to her face before being suddenly cut off by an ever familiar voice.
Victor had decided to pipe up again, but this time about what Koko said. Although he boasted about being a commendable opponent that clearly wasn't the case. He still looked as sickly as ever, with his pained expressions and flushed skin. It was almost like the poor lad was on his last legs as Percy examined with slight sympathy "You'd be better in a bed building up your strength Victor, but I guess whoever is pulling your strings has riddled your fragile body with unrest" he commented back up to Victor, guessing he wasn't the main man behind all this. Surely a mere boy couldn't plan all this, their had to be someone higher, a puppet master of sorts making all the moves.
While the crowd continued to roar from Victors comment, another voice came from behind him, this time from a teammate. She even questioned her reasoning in staying and strayed away from the violent route, something that Percy respected. At least someone else had the right mind to agree with him instead of straight up picking an all out brawl. He slowly turned around and faced her, a small frown forming across his lips "I've already given her two chances to get out but she doesn't want to take them" he said clearly so Koko could hear it too "And trust me, I rarely give out third chances" commented the boy as his right hand scrunched and unscrunched repeatedly into a fist "That's why i'm asking her to think about what she's going to say next, before I do something that is not in my nature...." He said coldly as he continued to stare directly at his teammate, his body language uneasy from the lack of intelligence shown from his opponent. Percy had given her ample chances to get out unhurt, now it was getting to the point where he had to do something drastic to get her out "So I ask you one more time, leave"

Percival was not wrong, Victor was better off in a hospital bed than in an arena by almost every measurable metric. However, he was standing there still, obstinate in the face of his own pain. Victor gave the teen no reply, he was not here for a quarrel. He listened with idle interest as @Percival Gray spoke with @Dealla Prince. "Just stand down," Victor recommended. "The both of you," he clarified. There was no sense wasting their blood on the arena floor, it was obvious they lacked the brutality necessary to complete the task before them.
They were not bad people, he did not want to see them get hurt.
"It is obvious their none of you intend to fight, words won't get you anywhere here," he warned. They did not fight, they would not climb, but they could stop wasting everyone else's time. An issue of consideration for others. An issue of politeness in a clandestine fighting pit. Odd boy, bizarre concerns. "Some of your housemates seem pretty excited about fighting, let them have their fun." Fun? Yes, fun. There were some Slytherins that could not wait to enter the ring. This team was not among them. Cede to those better suited for this role.

Victor... he couldn't help but speak up again could he. The sickly boy ordered them to stand down and exit the ring, mainly due to their lack luster performance they had put forwards so far. Percy could only grunt at the request and scrunch his fists even tighter to the point his nails were digging into his palms "No..." he said coldly, before snapping his head upwards towards Victor "I am not leaving this ring until I prevail in getting answers. Especially from you" he said with a small smirk before briefly looking at the rowdy crowd who were still on edge for their entertainment "Believe it or not "Victor" I am a more than capable fighter, probably more than you'll ever be. So please, can you understand the value of mercy?" said Gray with a brief frown as he looked at the floor.
Percy knew he had given Koko more than enough chances to leave at this point, yet she failed to read sense and save herself from a certain beating. If he didn't do something now, him and his teams chances were going to go down the drain along with the answers they were desperate for. His eyes looked over to Dealla, who had also been a peace keeper throughout this process and gave her a certain look of confirmation. A kind of look that confirmed he was about to do something they had gone against this entire fight "I'm sorry..." thought Percy before suddenly spinning around without warning, attempting to land a swift sucker punch to her head, before following up with a shovel hook to the liver and a uppercut to her chin.

Koko lifted her chin, narrowing her eyes at Percival as she smirked, although she wasn't sure if the smirk was aimed at him, Dealla, or Victor. "No," she said, "I will not." She felt powerful for a moment, and while she knew she was attempting to seem as if she had a semblance of control over what was happening, deep down, she knew things were spiralling out of her reach.
She shrugged, backing away slightly before realising that she wouldn't get anywhere if she ran. She'd be safe, yes, and while her instincts screamed at her to run, she knew her strong will to win would trump her instincts. A sudden sense of peace rose up within her, but it was short lived - she was about to take a deep breath when she noticed Percival's fist coming at her.
Finally, she let her instincts take over, allowing her body to go on autopilot. Her hands would come up to guard her face, and she would attempt to dodge out of his reach multiple times, praying she was quick enough to escape his attacks. While Koko had never been the best fighter, she knew how to run. She only hoped it worked this time.

Percival was going to get the answers he sought, even if they were written in that troublesome girl's blood. One of the two of them was at the very least willing to fight. He would make short work of the girl and then take his prize.
Victor watched on with what would appear to be an impassive face as he watched the mercy drain from Percival's. The boy was right, Victor was not much of a fighter. Not that he would not try if a cause worthy of his efforts arose. There was no such cause worthy of inconsequential brawn.
Damn, the girl was observant. While pretty, not do pretty that it would distract the youth as he found his footing.
The girl was darn durable. Either that or Percival lacked in the brawn department. It was going to take more than a single shot to take the girl down.

Koko saw that sucker punch coming from a mile away. He might have thought that she was not paying attention, but the girl was more clever than her name suggested. It felt like it had been going on forever, this odd stand-off they'd had. The boy's threats, the girl's thick-headed pointless refusal to go. And while Dealla technically agreed with the boy that their last remaining opponent should just stand down, just go, save them all the nightmare that would come with insisting on seeing this through, she didn't really agree with him either. Why did both of them refuse to see the logic here? It wasn't about the individual win.
But of course, she'd known from the start that it was next to impossible for the Slytherins to let go of their stupid misguided pride. Dee scowled at the boy's words, the first ones he'd bothered directing at her. They weren't really for her. They were still meant for Koko.
She wasn't really sure what tipped the scales. Maybe it was Victor's words: "None of you intend to fight." True. She might have made an exception for Vladimir, but she wouldn't be able to bring herself to attack this girl, or... well she wouldn't say none, but most of the others. Less out of unwillingness to bring harm, more out of selfish reasons. She didn't want the memory of her fist hitting flesh, her foot connecting with someone's body.
That was the first little pebble, at least. The second was Koko's repeated, idiotic refusal to go. She wasn't sure why the girl's pride demanded to let herself be beat up for the entertainment of a crowd of strangers. Dee's worked quite the opposite way. Either way, it was obvious that she was beyond reason or logic.
The third and last was her teammate coming apparently to the same conclusion - except for him, it meant it was time to make true on his threats. As his fist connected with Koko's body, Dealla turned away, her stomach contracting. This was what she'd hoped to avoid, but while at the beginning, she thought she would go to the lengths that her teammate was apparently willing to go, it was no clear that she wasn't. This was stupid - pointless. What were they even intending to achieve? Where was the guarantee that prize, the question the others all seemed to want so desperately, wasn't just a ruse?
Dee shook her head. The people in the first match had gotten it right: It was best to just walk away, or not show up in the first place. They should have done that from the beginning. The only small satisfaction she drew from this was that the audience must have been bored to death watching them argue back and forth without any results. But that was over now. It was time to make decisions.
And Dealla had. She straightened up, pushed her hair back. "You're both idiots," she announced to the two fighting, while everyone else was still standing around, doing nothing. "This is stupid, and I'm not going to stick around to watch this. Not sure why you can't see that. Have fun beating each other bloody."
She turned to Victor, her eyes more thoughtful. "I'm not sure what your part is in this, but I'm kind of wishing I had let you walk into the lake in April. I hope you're having fun watching this."
The boundary of the ring was close, she'd never quite stepped into the center of the ring, and had backed away after Koko's one, senseless attack earlier. It was where she was headed now, hopping down next to where Nico had broken down earlier, if no one stopped her.
She would crouch down next to the prefect and reach out a steady hand to lay on the girl's shoulder, trying to ignore the memories of Nico's screaming, her attacks on Opeila, and not sure how to be comforting. "Nico, let's go," she would say softly.
