The time had finally come. The next person on her list for a Tarot reading was that of her very own boyfriend, Logan Zarcovich. Part of her felt a little bad because she didn't know if he was doing this because he wanted to or doing this out of obligation to support her since he was the boyfriend and all. Still, she supposed it didn't really matter the reason and was glad he was doing this, and just hoped he might get some insight or enjoyment out of it himself.
Not wanting to short change him at all and definitely hoping to impress him more than anyone else, she paused to take a look at the Classroom where she was holding her readings. Candles were still lit to give warmth and welcomeness to the room. The colorful fabrics draped still created a calming bohemian feel. Pillows, blankets, and cushions were still nicely placed on the room, ready for the meeting.
She then checked the table where she had placed some tea - still warm, some lemonade - still cold, some candies - lots of lemon drops, and some pastries - got them! Yes, she was ready.
She went to the door and opened it. Normally she called out the students' first name and last but this was Logan. Did she do the same? She smiled. Yes, she must! She couldn't make his experience any less.
"Logan Zarcovich?" she said and held the door to welcome him in as she handed him a piece of paper. "Welcome to the First Annual Tarot Card Readings by Alina. I'm Alina, Alina Rosier. Please sign at the bottom."
"Over at the table to your left there's some tea, lemonade, candies, and pastries. Help yourself," she said and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before heading over to the middle of the wooden floor with all the pillows and cushions and she sat down, taking a deck of cards into her hands. "We'll begin when you are ready."

After hearing Alina say she had started doing tarot card readings, Logan decided to go and put his name down on the list to get his own readings.
He did it because he never had a single fortune teller experience before and having one where the fortune teller was also his girlfriend just made it a whole lot better.
He put on a low poly shirt and a pair of black jeans. He put on his leather satchel and slowly began to walk down the hall for his appointment with Alina.
He sat in the hallway waiting for his name to be called. He was drumming his fingers on the satchel when the door opened and his name was called. "Logan Zarcovich?"Alina gave him a legal contract to sign. It seemed a bit much for him but then again, he didn't care, he just wanted to do this, so he just signed it in a quick but messy way."Uhh, that would be me"
He sat down cross-legged on the blanket with her when she kissed him on the cheek. This was getting better and better and the reading hadn't even started yet.
"We'll begin when you're ready" she said.
He grabbed a piece of candy and tossed it in his mouth before saying,It kinda sounded a bit like meaningless gibberish 'cause of the candy that was in his mouth."Best idea ever. I think I can start now"

She smiled and watched him as she placed the deck of cards into three stacks and then asked him to put them together in any order. She then shuffled them some more then handed them to him to shuffle for a bit. The problem with having a boyfriend in a different house was that she didn't get to talk to him everyday and so she was glad he signed up so they could share some time together and she could look at his adorable face.
Alina then gathered the cards back from him. "You'll pick out seven, a card for each day of the week," she spread them out in front of her so that each and every back of the entire deck could be available for his choosing. "Tarot is here to help us unstable crazy situations, foresee issues to come, or reassure you about something on your mind. Its also great for general guidance and that's what The Week Spread is mostly about."
Once he picked his seven cards, she arranged them before him in a pyramid like fashion, with one card on the top, two in the middle, and four on the bottom.
She then pointed to the top card. "Day 1, you've got The Sun card. When this card is reversed like this, it is especially important for you to make an effort to literally count, and stay focused on, your blessings. Like you're amazing girlfriend," she threw that part in but laughed. "No, but really. Stay mindful of the things you are thankful and grateful for and you will bring more blessings into your life."
She then pointed to the card in the middle. "Day 2 brings you the Two of Wands. The Two of Wands reminds us to stay mindful of the give-and-take required for all successful relationships. If things are feeling 'out of balance' for you in general now, know they are about to get substantially better. Keep your eyes on the prize that you're looking for, metaphorically, and remain or get positive." She knew he was very much interested in Quidditch but had recently made the Gryffindor House Racing Team. Maybe this had something to do with that?
"Day 3 is the...." she paused. "Umm," hopefully this was one of those off cards that really didn't mean what she was about to say. It could even be a friendship, it didn't HAVE to mean a relationship like couple. "Day 3 is the Eight of Cups. It's that if your gut is telling you that you need to get out of a relationship, trust yourself," she said and looked up to him, her green eyes watching his blue. She didn't want this to be the case at all, but this is what the cards were saying. Maybe it meant a friendship of his. Nothing to do with her. Maybe the cards were wrong. "Instead of this coming out of the blue, it usually means that you are the one to make the choice. Very often one door has to close behind you before the next door in front of you can fully open."
Alina stopped and drew in a slow sip of her warm tea that she had next to her. Well THAT was a bit unsettling. Next!
"Day 4 is the Eight of Wands. When this card appears, nothing seems to be moving ahead. Don't try and force things as they are likely to backfire on you. Sometimes all you can do is put your best out there and see where it lands. Put your best out there. Then wait."
"Day Five is the Ten of Coins. Reversed, in general it says you have a great deal to be happy about but need to beware a sense of boredom. This comes about when people are actually at peace. Don't shake things up for the sake of it. Count your blessings at all levels."
"Day 6 is the Five of Wands. The need to believe in yourself needs to be stronger than ever. Hold your head up high and have faith that you will end up in the right place that is right for you. You may be thinking of making a chance. Know that you can be successful if so."
"And that brings us to the last card," she said as she pointed to it, finding it a bit interesting that he drew that card, being a Gryffindor, when there was a lion on it. "Day 7, Strength. When Strength appears in reverse, it is an important indicator that you have a lot to be grateful for and that you should make a point to counter your blessings. Appreciating what you currently have in hand is key to opening ourselves up for more."
She sighed, knowing she just talked. A LOT. "Sounds like a lot of counting your blessings"...except for that Eight of Cups.

Alina was an amazing girlfriend. She helped him move on, she helped him break free from the things that were holding him in the past. It had been weeks since he envisioned his mom cheering him on when he was about to do something ridiculously hard.
His smile quickly faded when she got to the third day. "Why the heck would he leave her for anything?" he thought.
He waited until she was done before he said,He put his hand in hers and looked at her,"The contract says that I don't have to do anything I don't want to."The card said if he felt like leaving a relationship he should follow his gut."Love was just a word before I met you. Who cares what that card says, huh? It's obviously for my relationship with someone else."
1) He didn't feel like ditching anyone
2) He was forced to follow the advice
3) They're just cards. Not 100% reliable
He drank some lemonade in fast gulps because he was getting unusually serious and bad things happened when his emotions came in too strong.He shifted on the blanket and removed his hand from Alina's."Long story short, I'm not ditching any of my friends"

Alina still felt a little uneasy about it but she nodded. She would try her best to try and understand but it was difficult with her trust broken and that sadly had nothing to do with Logan Zarcovich.
It stemmed from her mother not being around, herself and the family for not realizing why, her father for having given up on their family, her grandmother for being the awful woman that she was, for her sister leaving Hogwarts and her and transferring schools, for her father not being around only to come back and leave once again, for hired help that she would grow attached to but they'd vanish the next day with no word, and for friends who just up and walked out of her life, never to return.
No, none of that was Logan's fault and she knew it so she was doing her best at trusting him. She had the same issue with her other close relationships, like her best friends Rose Moon, Lucia Fox, Alexa Mackenzie. Still, it wasn't easy when it seemed everyone let her down eventually.
"You're right, I'm just being silly," she sighed, not liking that she was being insecure. She always wanted to give off a confident vibe. "So...have you given much thought as to what you're wearing to the dance? My dress came in yesterday. It's....quite something," she laughed a little. It was a LOT fancier than she had figured it would be but that was okay. In her mind, she was going as the princess but Logan didn't have to be the Stable Boy for the dance. He could dress up all fancy and look nice or he could wear a crazy outfit, it didn't matter to her.
"And what were you thinking? I was thinking maybe we could spend some time at the dance and some at the other activities." A dance was fun at all but she also didn't want to miss out on full Halloween activities like pumpkin decorating and the sort.

The fall dance. It used to be all he ever thought about, but as usual, things would change. He now had a girlfriend, a best friend, a broom race and his future in the wizarding world to think about.He never cared about aesthetic value in anything. As long as it worked, he wouldn't be bother. But he also cared about not looking like a hobo in front of all his friends, so he settled for that little grey area."To be honest, I'm just going with the regular outfit for the dance. I was never really much for fashion, that was my sister's job."He had had tons of experience with girls who threw fits whenever things didn't go their way. They were the girls who screamed whenever something put the slightest speck in their gowns. Alina was different. She had this quirky sense of maturity he loved. She wasn't too stuffy or too crazy. She wasn't stuck up that she would hate him. She was just right. There was no one he'd rather go to the dance with."I don't wanna upstage you at the dance. But I'm sure whatever you wear will be totally amazing"

Alina thought about the dress she had purchased. It was very elegant and fitting for the most formal occasion anyone could even dream up. It was white and sparkly, frilly and lacy. It would be perfect for the masquerade ball and yet...something about getting all dressed up just made her think of her father's charity galas and how stuffy and formal they were. Or at least, all up until the last one.
"You know, let's go to the other part...pumpkin decorating and all. Maybe we could even somehow pull a prank on someone for you," she smiled. Yes, keeping it low key sounded like the best way to go about the upcoming October event.
"We could put fake spiders in the ice cubes of all the drinks." But maybe that wasn't quite the prank he was thinking of but still, she could see it be amusing. Especially to some of the girls there at the school with their hatred of bugs. Alina couldn't say she liked them, but she always helped one out during their time of need. If they were indoors, she would take it back outside and so on.
"Or randomly jump out at people as they pass by the drink table, seeing how many spill punch on themselves."
