Lumia has always been different than the other pure-blood kids she knew, they always took after their parents, the older pure-blood kids she knew had always been sorted into the same house as their parents had been, usually Slytherin, but a few families valued other house qualities. Her parents had both been proud Slytherins, and she figured that was where she would be sorted into, but her beliefs had always opposed her parents' mindset, and after hearing that Lumia had been sorted into Gryffindor, her parents' had dropped contact with her, and Lumia still hasn't heard from them. Lumia never had a good relationship with her parents, and she has no siblings, so she never had anyone to talk to but other pure-blood kids, and they usually didn't care much about her. Lumia was born in Dublin, Ireland, and has not moved houses, ever, the Miynx family is a long lineage of famous aurors that had always lived in the same house, a mansion in Dublin. Lumia was taught to read, write, and other necessary skills by her family's house-elves and paid servants. Lumia's first sign that she was magical occurred when she was five, her parents had torn her favorite stuffy, a small grey wolf that she had called Silver, to punish her for playing with the son of a muggle family, the wealthy muggle neighbors of the Miynx family, who had always been kind to Lumia despite her parents' clear hatred towards them. She had gone over to the neighbors' yard to play with their son, who was her age. She took the torn pieces that Silver had become in her hands after seeing her mother toss them in the garbage bin, and they came back together, the stuffy had been returned to its original state, no longer torn. Lumia was overjoyed, and her parents didn't take the toy away again, seeing it as a symbol of their daughter's talent, even though it had been an accidental use of magic.

Lumia is an introvert, who'd prefer to read or sketch rather than play quidditch or chase others around like the other pureblood children. She's awkward in tight situations and avoids social outings whenever she had the chance to.

Lumia has short fire-like red hair and blue eyes so light they're almost white. She's fairly short and has a pale complexion due to her lack of activity outdoors.
