"Vraiment." Truly/Really. She smiled back at the Headmaster, resisting the urge to let out a small laugh. Thank goodness he had some joy and life in him- unlike other teachers she had heard about before. Grace, beauty, and joy- certainly sounded like Beauxbatons with its soft wintery jingle.

On the other hand, Kit didn't see herself as most of those. Joy was the exception, but she didn't see how she could really be a teacher to anyone- especially since the girl was part of the Quidditch team, not Broom Racing. Her "teaching" could be sorted out later.

"C'est une école du magique, non? Remarquable est un besoin." It's a school of magic, no? Remarkable is a requirement. Blue-green eyes would glance around to find the person who had commented, a grin on her face. Her attention would turn to another person, though, the grin returning to a happy smile. There would be a moment as she considered the words, before adding a response.

"Oui, je comprendre. Mais vous n'avez pas entrer le château encore! Peut-être Hogwarts est une école magnifique, aussi." Yes, I understand. But you haven't entered the castle yet! Perhaps Hogwarts is a magnificent school as well. A small laugh would follow, one eyebrow raised as she gave the girl a grin. Kit's loyalty was still rather on the fence, but she did appreciate her school very much.

"Ou peut-être je n'existe pas. Juste votre imagination." Or perhaps I don't exist. Just your imagination. A shrug would follow, eyes bright. She would take his outstretched, responding with a quick, "Kit Felix." The redhead had yet to figure out how to say her name in a French accent, instead others might recognize her accent as from Western United States.

"Sébastien Batteux... Il y a des rumeurs. Est-ce que vous faites le course de balai?" There are rumors. Do you do broom racing? In her mind, the broom racing and the rumors had no correlation despite having been said one after the other. After all, that was what Beauxbatons was here to teach and a valid question towards anyone here. Instead, her head would tilt to watch the boy, curious as to how he would react.

A somewhat tall woman in a black and green robes approached the old man. Donning his signature smile, he stood as tall as his 5'8 height could make him. "Madame Jensen" He bowed as he took her hand and placed a gentle kiss on it. "A pleasure to be here, truly." Eugene nodded with a content demeanour. His eyes briefly glancing across the tall towers ahead. "In all my life, it is a privilege to finally be invited in a place such as this." His back gave up after a while and caused the man to gently sag a bit in his stance. Leaning on his cane, he was showing his age.

"Which house are you the head of then, if I may ask? Forgive my lack of knowledge regarding Hogwarts' lore. I know of your founders and their divided houses. Fascinating perspective, but that is where it ends for me. Unless..." He gave her an innocent look whilst gesturing they started to walk towards the castle. "...you would be happy to offer this poor old man a tale or two." The same smile appeared on his wrinkled face. Despite the chill winds shaking him to the bones, his cheerful character would not be shaken.

If she walked along with him, he would stay silent for a bit as his eyes explored the castle's exterior. The vast difference between Hogwarts and Beauxbatons seemed to be immense in terms of location. It was a fascinating scenery to the old man. "Are my children expected to be somewhere soon? Lodging or dinner? I would be happy to help out in your kitchens for tonight if necessary. I would hate for us to pressure your kitchen staff with our presence at your table." The Headmaster's eyebrow twitched ever so slightly as the thought occurred that the Scottish cuisine might prove to be... something different.

She widened her eyes and turned to look at her friend. A pretty girl? Who- Oh. Oh, right. She did look pretty. Cassanora's eyes lingered for a brief moment on the Hogwarts student pointed out by Maddie. Her friend had either not remembered what she had been told about staring or was clearly infatuated with the somewhat older looking girl. "Tsss, Mads, stop staring. It'll be awkward if she notices." Cass would hiss between her teeth, but with a playful smirk tugging on her lips.

The next person she saw caused her to stare instead. Her dark brown eyes would stay fixed on the slender figure of an adult woman dressed in black and green. Earrings and other jewellery all themed the same and her pristine looking hair beautifully plaited. The woman did look pretty today, Cass would admit in silence. Noticing a nod shot towards her, 'nora' slowly lifted her chin as she straightened her neck before finally returning the nod. She actually had to work hard not to think of Nora as cool or pretty. Instead, she had to really force herself to remember that the woman was at least partially to blame for her father spending more time here then back home.

A father that had yet to show his face. The look of worry would find its way back on her face. Tiptoeing to look over some students heads, she tried to look if maybe he was sitting somewhere in the back. Waiting for her to notice him, or some other silly game he'd play. Cass looked back to Nora. Had she seen him? Maybe she could give her a sign of where he was?

"Yes, good point!" Cassie Heather allowed to the red-haired girl [KATHERINE] who had spoken to her, before turning to speak to the tall girl who had stolen her attention.

Cassie looked up at the girl [DELPHINE] in front of her, trying to figure out if they knew each other. With one glance, she sized the girl up as to fulfill what Cassie had nicknamed the 'three Ps' - Pretty, Posh and Pureblood. These were the three things that Cassie Heather had quickly realised secured your rise in the Beauxbatons hierarchy, and (seeing as she lacked all of them) the muggleborn had had to rely on other things to make friends. Another look told Cassie that the two had met before - they were on the same broom racing team, though they had never really spoken.
"Cassie Heather," she told the girl, with a raised eyebrow pointed at her manicured fingernails. "But most people just call me Cassie."
Cassie watched the slowly-gathering crowd of Hogwarts students warily. Was there something she and her fellows were supposed to be doing? She would have to find out soon.

Then, her friend Berry Batteux [SÉBASTIEN] (as Cassie called him) emerged from the carriage. "Hey, Berry! I'd wondered where you were in the carriage," she replied happily, turning away from the pretty girl. She then stared at the hand for a moment, grinned at Berry, and slapped it in a high-five, rather than the shake that he was probably expecting.

After the greeting of her fellows was done, Cassie spun away from the blue-clad group at large, to try and find her headmaster [EUGENE]. But she was too late - he had taken the arm of a witch she didn't recognise [HJØRDIS] and begun walking away. "What are we supposed to do now?!" she muttered in English. English... Maybe one of the Hogwarts students would know?

She could only spy two students who seemed worth talking to - one black-haired [LANA], who seemed to be talking to someone from Cassie's own school, and one blonde [ERIN], who stood by her own as if talking to other people was above her own notice.

Not the best choice for help, but it would do.

Cassie Heather made a beeline towards her [ERIN], and smiled when she got there. "Hey, I'm Cassie," she said in English. If the girl had any sense at all of accents, she would spot that Cassie probably wasn't French-born. "Do you know what we should be doing, please? Our headmaster just left with one of your teachers, I think." She pointed towards the retreating backs.

She smiled softly, "If we had known you were waiting, we would have arranged it sooner," Her tone was polite, slightly jokingly. A part of her was partially serious though. At least, she could think of one person who would have loved to have them over before now. Well... that was until all of the disasters happened. In hindsight, it was better than Beauxbatons was not around last year but they likely would have organised the event sooner had they been aware that the French school's headmaster was equally keen.

Hjørdis could not help but internally sigh a little at the very cordial response she received from Cassanora. It was about as expected, in all honesty but that did not make her feel better.

"Slytherin. The house of the ambitious, cunning and most resourceful among us," Hjørdis replied as she turned her attention back to the old man, adding a little bit of information onto what the house represents, "Of course. Though, I would love to hear more about Beauxbatons' lore in exchange?" She asked. Admittedly, she would have told him about Hogwarts even if he did not wish to share anything about his own school but she could not pretend she was not curious. And what better opportunity to learn about the school than from the Headmaster himself?

She turned a little, taking a small step to follow alongside him. They were still very close to the students, walking rather slowly. It was actually a pace that Hjørdis was not used to. She normally rushed around places or walked with determination but today... today was more like a very casual stroll. However, for her companion, she adjusted her own walking speed to match his.

Catching the eye of the young Browne, she quickly glanced over to the castle to see if she could spot the man that Cassanora was looking for. If he was late, she would throw him into the tower! Today, of all days?! Of course, it was not necessarily his fault. Their arrival was not scheduled in the Courtyard and there was no clear estimation of a time. Caradoc could have been waiting by the entrance for them or thought they were going to arrive a little later. Unfortunately, she had no idea where he was or why he was not here. These were simply guesses. But she knew he would come rushing as soon as he heard. If he did not managed to get here in time, she knew where he would be - and it perfectly lined up with the conversation she was having with the headmaster.

Answering the Headmaster's questions loud enough for the students to hear, she would look back at the girl for a moment, "Yes, it is almost time for dinner, which will be served at the Great Hall. It's on the ground floor, not too far from the entrance, rather hard to miss. However, if they were unsure where it was, it's easily found by following the noise - and their nose - and the rather large groups of people entering it. After all, everyone will be there," She added, giving enough information that the students could make their way to the Great Hall if they wanted to whilst making a point that everyone will be present there.

"They have some time before then, however. Enough time for a pleasant stroll or to mingle here. I have no doubt that others will arrive to welcome you all once they realise you have arrived," She added, hoping Cassanora realised that her father likely did not know of their arrival yet but would arrive as soon as he did.

It was likely clear to any students around where they could find dinner by now. However, she paused nonetheless, just in case the Headmaster fancied addressing them directly. Hjørdis was simply following the old man's lead.

If someone could melt her heart in a matter of moments, it was old people. If they were relatively nice, she would likely consider them adorable. Especially at the mention of helping out in the kitchen or cooking. Probably because they reminded her of her grandparents - and she adored them. However, it was partially also because she enjoyed the company of people who had experienced far more than her and had wisdom to share. It was always interesting to learn their tales, especially when the companion had experienced quite a bit more life than she had. "Oh, that's very sweet of you. I'm sure that the preparations are likely be underway already, though. So we can just enjoy the view for now," She continued, as she gazed up at the castle looming over them. The courtyard was always a nice view, in her opinion. Then again, a lot of the castle was. This place was particularly one she enjoyed.

Students were running past him in the halls. He gave them a stern look from under his furrowed brow as he continued to walk at his own pace. It seemed something was happening somewhere. All day foreign students had been pouring in and started finding their little nooks and crannies to hang around in. As he reached a turn at the end of the hall, two boys passed him by. He clearly heard one tell the other that Beauxbatons girls were rumoured to be beautiful. Narrowing his eyes at the boy's comment and considering the pace of their feet, Caradoc knew it could mean only one thing: Cassanora had arrived.

Following the trail of students outside, he noticed he was being led towards the courtyard. Of course, Cass had written something about a flying carriage. He'd quirk an eyebrow as he saw the thing occupy the courtyard in its full glory. It was certainly something to look at. His eyes quickly recognised her amongst the students. She seemed... nervous. Doc would halt by the opening of the door, sticking to the wall as to not draw attention. He knew very well this visit had been important for her. He had explicitly forbidden her to attend Hogwarts. For enough reasons he had been right to do so. But for several others he knew he was making her life difficult.

Tugging the sleeves of his suit, he glanced over to Nora, who had seemingly made acquaintance with the headmaster. From what Doc knew, Beauxbatons had a history of being a staunch ally to Hogwarts. They could always use those in times like this. Though he wondered if they had made the recent events surrounding the school clear to the other institutions. There would be time for that over dinner, he figured.

Stepping out from under the shadow, Caradoc slowly made his way towards the two adult figures up front. Locking eyes with Cass as he approached her headmaster, he gave her a quick wink before turning his attention to the Frenchman. "Headmaster Monserrac, if I'm correct? You seem to have arrived in good health and quite stylish might I add." Doc extended a hand, shaking the other's firmly. He'd offer the older man a smile and shot a quick glance towards Nora. "Of course our own Head of Slytherin isn't lacking in style either as you can tell. Evenin' to you as well, Jensen." A silly smirk was plastered to his face as he pulled up his eyebrows trying to tease her a bit.

He turned his attention back towards the headmaster. "Caradoc Browne, at your service." He dipped his head slightly towards the old man. "Head of Hufflepuff, those students unafraid of toil. They are loyal, just and above all, true." A brief explanation for the headmaster. "I am also the father of that impatient student of yours." Doc would point a finger over Monserrac's shoulder. "I'm sure you understand my own impatience on the matter when I slip off to greet her." Caradoc almost grinned too wildly at the old man. Slipping right past him, the Irishman quickened his pace as he walked straight towards Cassanora. "Young lady! I believe you lost something?" The grin on his face could not grow any wider. His hand reached in one of his pockets and revealed a tiny wooden statue, holding it in the air for the girl to notice as she approached him. "Hey there little 'nora" He'd whisper in her ear once he held her.

Nora had noticed her glances. Seeing the woman react the way she did, it seemed she wasn't aware of where her father was at this moment either. Sighing under her breath, she left her shoulders to hang. Cass could hear the conversation between Nora and Monsieur Monserrac. It seemed they were about to eat in the great hall. She could at least look forward to that, she was starving. Hearing her Headmaster offer to help in the kitchen it became clear that the old man was throwing all manners of "formality" under the bus. Though it had always been one of his charms. A down to earth man that would offer kind advice if you found him on your path. Giggling a little as she continued to listen, she heard Nora's reply. Her mind clicked and she nodded to herself. Perhaps Nora was right, as far as Cass could tell, they had arrived unannounced.

Her dark brown eyes widened slowly as a man appeared from the castle doors. Dressed in a brown suit and still sporting their signature blond hair, she'd recognise him anywhere. The urge to immediately run off towards him was so so big. But she did not wish to embarrass herself or her headmaster with too overly public behaviour. For now, she tried to stay composed. Her father, Caradoc Browne, gave her a wink as he joined Nora and the headmaster in their introductions. Of course, he'd pass by her first... Though Cass quickly admitted that it was the most right way to do things. It would have looked weird if the Head of Hufflepuff ignored the Headmaster of Beauxbatons.

She heard her father speak, he was so close all of a sudden. Tiptoeing as she fought back her urges to walk over, she pursed her lips as a million thoughts streamed into her mind. "That's him, Maddie. That's my father." For just a second she forgot Maddie and herself usually conversed in French. But she was sure her friend would understand in this occasion. And then- Yes. He was coming. Her father walked past the duo and turned straight in her direction. His words found her ear as he revealed a tiny wooden statue to her from a distance. She knew exactly what it was. It was a tiny badger carved from a branch they found back home. She usually took it with her wherever she went. To remind herself that he was thinking of her. No longer fighting, Cass practically jumped her first two steps and sprinted towards her father.

"Papa!"
She said as she found herself landing in his arms. Being lifted from the ground, she buried her face deep in his neck. "Hey..." She whispered back with closed eyes, her arms not letting go for a few moments. "I'm glad you came to see me" Her voice would quiet and there'd be a good chance Caradoc would not have heard that last part at all. But the message would have been pretty clear to both of them.

The headmaster gave the head of Slytherin an impressed face. Ambition could be a dangerous thing, but with temperance its value was immense in the progression of a lifetime. "Ambition can bring you far in life." Eugene contemplated quietly to himself. "Dangerous sometimes. But valuable nonetheless." Another smile joined the wrinkles of his face. At the mention of her being interested in the lore of his own school, the old seemed to light up a little again. Straightening his back once more, he'd nod in glee. "It would be my utmost pleasure!"

Another adult joined in on their conversation. After a brief introduction of him being the Head of Hufflepuff, the man was quick to point out his child had made the trip along with Eugene. The old man would frown before following the direction in which Caradoc's finger was pointing and then connecting the dots. "Ah, of course. Browne! I see I see. Well of you go then." Eugene motioned for the Head of House to go and see his child. "Nothing better than to start with reuniting family." he pointed out to Miss Jensen.

Focusing back on the head of Slytherin, he was reminded to pass down her instructions to his students. "Attention Beauxbatons! We will be dining soon. You may leave your bags in the carriage for now, we'll sort out the lodging later. Let's first get those bellies filled! Just like the lovely Professor Jensen told me, simply follow the stream of students towards the great hall."

When he felt her stare at him, Louis instinctively turned his eyes downwards. He still couldn't fully grasp yet that he had a friend, and what a friend! From the moment they've met, just a few weeks before they both started to attend Beauxbatons (meeting in London and then becoming classmates in France- it must be fate!) Louis has been mesmerized by Jacqueline. She was not only beautiful like a muse, but her soul flame was shining brighter than anyone else's. Simply put, she was the best- out of all of Louis's aquaintances. Which, frankly, weren't many. But still, even if he had more friends, the boy knew that Jac would still be his princess. And, for some time, he hoped he'd make her his date for the ball, too- but, recently, it seemed like the young witch acted... strange around him. Did he do something wrong?

Fumbling with his sleeves, Louis cleared his throat. "Jac, are you excited about our forthcoming time we're going to spend at Ilvermorny?" He asked, trying to make small talk, just like his mother advised him to in the last letter she'd sent, when he asked for advice. Though, his words seemed to hold no meaning. The boy's mind was filled with other thoughts, replaying over and over in his head how he was going to bring up the subject of the ball that was going to take place there, at... "Hogwarts." He said out loud, widening his eyes a bit. "I'm sorry, did I accidentally say Ilvermorny before? I must be tired, from the trip," The blue-eyed child replied, his lips turning into a thin line. Straightening his back, he turned his head towards the carriage window.

Hogwarts School of Wizardry was truly empowering. Of course, compared to Beauxbatons, it didn't have the same royal charm as his school, but it was, nonetheless, beautiful. Despite the lack of emotion shown on his face, the brunet was excited for the upcoming weeks. He'd only started his adventure at Beauxbatons not too long ago- and he was already visiting another school! As the carriage they were sitting in came up to a halt, Louis got out of it, holding the door open for Jac. He prepared to take both of their luggage, too, when he heard their Headmaster- Monsieur Monserrac, direct them to leave their bags there, as they were going to dine now. Well, so much for his plan of impressing his friend. Returning to the blonde, the boy put his hands in his pockets. "I wonder what are they serving here," Louis said, looking down at his feet. "If they don't have any vegetarian meals here, I swear I'll go into that forest and eat some leaves."

Cracking a smile, the boy paid more attention to the large courtyard they were in. Hm, he concluded that he liked this place. Full of trees and vegetation, much better than other places he'd visited in England. Glancing around, he noticed many of his own school mates, but also some Hogwarts students. There were a lot of people- way too many for his comfort, though. Taking a deep breath, the boy encouraged himself. It was going to be okay. And, even if he somehow got into any social situation and didn't know what to do, he had Jac by his side to come to his aid.

Hopefully, if she still wanted to be his friend.

[font=Monotype Corsiva]Enzo sat atop of his trunk now observing his fellow French students who were continuously climbing off the carriages.
He unintentionally and surprisingly was gazing at some of the attractive looking girls but that didn't last for long as he all of a sudden was startled slightly by someone tapping his shoulder. He quickly looked away from them and looked behind him to see who was trying to get his attention. He turned to see Lana standing behind him, grinning. His eyes narrowed into a slit-like shape as he tried to refrain from making an impolite expression. He was almost puzzled at the fact that she had actually approached him. He hadn't really expected that from her assuming that she would ignore him or try to avoid him until the ball since they didn't particularly get along the last time they were together.

His first reaction would have been to ask her what she wanted but he decided that it would be way more amusing to play the same game that she was and chose to reply cordially but with an underlying tone of scorn that wasn't even meant to be concealed. He fully intended for her to hear every bit of resentment.
"Oh it was delightful. The view was just divine"
He said as he put on a small sweet smile that was quite obviously fake to match with his sarcastic response. He then averted his gaze towards his headmaster who was making an announcement, and was relieved to hear that they would be getting a meal soon since he was starting to get rather hungry. Right after that he glanced back at Lana and couldn't help but wonder if this interaction was going to be round two and turn out like the dinner had.
