𝓐madea was back at the castle and she was ready for a new year. She had new hair, thanks to the help of Lizzie Verdine, and she was feeling much less chaotic and calmer today. She was absolutely ready to take the year head on and make it the best year at Hogwarts yet. This was her fourth year. Amadea almost couldn't believe it. She could still remember the day she first stepped foot into the castle and looked around at the giant ceiling of the Great Hall in awe. She remembered the terror she had felt as she watched all of her classmates become Sorted into their houses. It felt like just yesterday, and now Amadea was already beginning her fourth year. It was almost surreal to her still how absolutely insane it was that she was a witch. Sure, Amadea had been constantly surrounded by magic ever since she set foot in Hogwarts but it never failed to amaze her how she had not known about this for the first decade of her life. She almost felt bad for Pureblooded students; she felt as though the magic of the castle and the experience of Hogwarts wasn’t as bright and breathtaking as it was for those who had no idea of magic’s existence.

Lost in thought about magic and the memories of the past three years, Amadea was suddenly struck with an overwhelming feeling of gratitude that somehow, the universe had chosen her for this. She was a witch and she was going to appreciate every second that she had. Sure, there were horrible experiences tied in with the good times, like the time she ventured into the passageways and was attacked by a hoard of rats or the many instances where Hufflepuffs ended up being severely burned. Nevertheless, Amadea was equally as grateful for those experiences. Yes, being attacked by rats had been terrifying, but it was a good bonding experience with one of her closest friends, Ami Procoppio. And sure, being burned was one of the worst pains Amadea had ever felt in her whole life, but the nurses were able to easily cure her and Amadea had made new friends through that experience as well. All in all, she was quite grateful.

Amadea was so busy feeling grateful that she didn’t exactly know where she was headed. Walking through the corridors aimlessly, she almost didn’t notice the figure in front of her. Pulling herself back into reality and out of her thoughts, Amadea managed to stop walking in time not to crash into the other person. She really had to stop doing the walking and daydreaming thing; it was really starting to put people at risk. "Ah, so sorry!” Amadea apologized. "I need to watch where I’m going.”

For Falentra, a new year at Hogwarts was both satisfying and disappointing. The thought of having to mingle with her peers and new students were a pain in itself, let alone the classes she had to continue to attend, rules she had to follow and another Summer she had to drag her way through. It was painful to think of. On the bright hand side, it meant she was another year closer to leaving Hogwarts.
In all honesty, it wasn't as bad as she was making it out to be in her head. Last year she had managed to take a liking to Flash Holmwood and Howard White. She supposed when she thought of them, she didn't feel as alone in this place.

The Corridors were busy this morning. It was expected. Students were squealing in excitement, clutching to their books and jumping up and down like...well, idiots in the Slytherins point of view. They were all eagerly awaiting their first classes whilst Falentra was really just craving her bed at such a time. She wasn't much of a morning person unless it meant taking walks through nature with the silence surrounding her. That was definitely her place of peace.

Like Amadea, Falentra too was always in a world of her own, so much so that she didn't see the Hufflepuff approaching either. The pair seemed to have jolted at the closeness, causing Falentra to scrunch up her brows in annoyance. She had just jolted like a little girl, which in her eyes made her look stupid and weak. The cold and tough persona she would show to others was her shield and she broke that through daydream, yet again. '' Watch it will ya.'' She snapped in a slightly groggy, cold tone. Her brown hues scanned tiredly at the Hufflepuff. When she looked at her, she saw life, warmth and kindness... the total opposite of herself. Although her expressions wouldn't show the bit of sadness she felt, her gaze quickly wandered off to the side, her cold stare now focusing on the other students. It was at this point she knew she was probably to say something to the girl in front of her but no words were planning on coming out. An apology for her snapping was the last thing on her mind, but she didn't want to start the new year of fighting. She was too tired for that right now.

It was obvious the Hufflepuff wasn't a first year, but her features were still soft and obviously young looking. Not confident that she was a Third or Fourth year, Falentra thought this would be an opportunity to say something to break the awkwardness. '' You a Third Year or Fourth then?'' Her tone was less cold now, but very monotone, enough to keep the other knowing whether she was still annoyed, tired or bored. The gaze that had once focused on those around them had finally made its way back to Amadea, staring her straight in the eyes as she awaited a reply.

𝓘t was her fourth year and Amadea still hadn't seemed to be able to break the habit of crashing into people in the corridors. It was something she had first experienced during her first year at Hogwarts and here she was, three years later, still crashing into people. Given, the corridors were quite crowded with happy students buzzing about the first day of classes, though Amadea figured they were buzzing more because they were glad classes ended and not because of the actual classes themselves. Still, her habit of daydreaming while walking around was not helping her at all. From crashing into people in the corridors or out on the grounds while she was talking her daily walks, Amadea was turning into a crashing machine. If only she could turn off her train of thoughts when she needed to, perhaps just flip a switch and make it pause while she really needed to focus.

The girl she had bumped into snapped at her, which Amadea wasn't exactly not expecting. After all, she did just walk straight into another girl's way. Unfortunately, this brought back some other unfriendly memories. This girl was also a Slytherin and Amadea's memories were immediately triggered. In an instant she was back in the corridors, this time it was less crowded, facing off against the younger Slytherin as she apologized for bumping into the girl as she attempted to run to class. Before Amadea could have even reacted, she was being hexed and before she knew what was happening there were spells flying back and forth. Of course, Amadea had gotten her revenge in their second encounter but she was still shaken from the incident and she had to admit that the situation had made her more wary of Slytherins.

She opened her mouth to apologize again and reassure the girl that it would never happen again; Amadea was ready to even bribe her way out of it. Perhaps the girl would accept a few sickles to buy something at Hogsmeade as an acceptable payment for her wrongdoings. Much to Amadea's surprise, instead of completely exploding, the girl was already starting to calm down. It was wrong of Amadea to assume that she was going to just explode, but based on past experiences, that was what she had been expecting. She let out a sigh of relief as the girl's tone cooled down as she asked Amadea what year she was in. While she didn't exactly sound friendly, she didn't sound as angry as she initially was. That was a positive. "I'm a fourth year," Amadea responded. "So I probably should have learned not to daydream and walk in the corridors while they're crowded at this point...but I guess I'm still working on that one," she laughed awkwardly. "Sorry again about that." She paused. "What about you? You seem like you know your way around already."

The Slytherins eyes followed each and every emotions shown and action Amadea acted towards her. She seemed more sorry than she needed to be. Had she done this multiple of times, or had a bad experience in the past with someone over it? If so, that was sad. Before the girl was able to continue with her apologies. ''Chill. It's fine. I walked into you too I guess.'' It was true, but she didn't want continue any further on blaming herself. It was an accident that could pass by without escalating any more.

The tension would quickly die down as she spoke of herself. A fourth year too. She didn't really see many of them around nowadays. Not that she interacted with them. Falentra would nod slightly as she took in her words. ''Same here, although I wish it was my last at times.'' By now Falentra would have her arms folded and had taken a good look at the colours of her robe before looking off to the students that passed around them. The expression of annoyance would cross her face as more screams and giggles were to follow. She let out a small grunt and rolled her eyes before fixing them back once more on the Hufflepuff. ''Don't remember anyone of use being this loud, do you?'' She would speak in a slightly louder tone, making sure the girl opposite her was able to hear clear enough throughout the madness that surrounded them. She wanted to get out of her, or move to a quieter spot at least. There was no way she could hold a conversation like this. ''Follow me? Can't stand being around places like this when I'm trying to think.'' She had debated asking her to be honest. But over the past few months, Falentra had grown quite fond of the company of others. Too much was annoying, but she was getting the hang of socialising, especially in a more polite manner... kind of.
