The year was 1936. The world was in a war for power; it was a war that darkened the world. During this time, many were fearful of their wellbeing. Homes, places of worship, markets and recreational areas were being monitored. Those who were monitoring did not have compassion or empathy for those around them. The simple act of humanity was shattering to pieces.

During this time, Nazi

It was a darkened time where many were hiding in their homes, not coming out unless enforced. A small town on the outskirts of the Black Forest, Freiburg, had just been infested with Nazi enforcement. The Jewish small, but tight knit, Jewish community, were on watch. Little did they know that most would be taken from their homes and sent to Camp Gurs, located south of France. The year was 1936. No matter where someone was, the world was in a war for power; it was a war that darkened quickly.
