A Ballroom Dance? PV. Adonis Thorn Locked

Monday 21st September. 8:05 PM.
It had been a few days since the students of Hogwarts had received the cards that had hinted towards some sort of Autumn Ball or a party. Whichever it were, Falentra wasn't all to confident on the idea. Although her approach on others were still cold, they were managed far better that her first few years at Hogwarts. But handling that alone was hard enough, so the thought of having to maybe dance, or mingle in a group larger than well, two people was worrying.

There were several antique looking windows that filled the walls before the Slytherin. Columns almost as big as the walls itself stood symmetrically on either side, whilst what Falentra thought were Gargoyles hung above the centre of the pillars. Each held a candle, helping make the room dimly lit. It was defiantly eerie looking. The sound of silence was always peaceful to Falentra, but this room was just too quiet even for her. There were a few dusted clothed table stacked away in the corner of the room out the way, leaving enough room for a group of students to dance freely. A few chairs would accompany the tables, although there were no dust to be seen on them. It seemed a few students must have already had the same thought as her.

Thankfully tonight, it seemed to be just her. She had wander the room, taking note of its size and how it was soon to be jammed packed with students of all ages, dressed up to impress one another, show off their wealth through their expensive fabrics and so on. The thought made her groan to herself and fall down onto the chair once reaching it. How was she to get involved with such a thing? She hadn't really ventured out or made the effort during the Summer vacation so she knew this had to be the opportunity to at least try. So the practice was most defiantly needed if she was to make a good impression.

Before she made the effort to get up, she would throw off her black robe, laying it over the back of the chair she sat on. There weren't any music to help her get into the swing of things, so she stood awkwardly for a bit, almost practicing in her head the moves she was about to attempt. She was trying her best to move her hips though they were so stiff one would think she was doing the robot. It was laughable to watch, even she would if she saw one doing what she did. ''This is pointless...stupid!'' She mumbled to herself, feeling like an utter idiot for even attempting something she knew she would be bad at. A few moments would pass by before the Slytherins movement came to a sudden stop once a figure caught the corner of her eye. Was somebody watching her that whole time? She wasn't the type to pray but she was doing it more than ever right now.
''Who's there?!'' She shouted, her voice echoing throughout the room. She sounded almost startled, but it was more of a worry on her behalf of being caught dancing alone. ''You better come out you little shit!'' Her rudeness automatically began to show, although she found it hard to even take herself serious at this moment in time.

They were either on their third or fourth week now of school and a ball was already going to be happening soon. Not that Adonis didn't love balls or dances, there was just still the lingering image of fellow injured peers of his lying about during the Secret Blossom Ball. That was a disaster. They practically set themselves up for it. Adonis luckily was able to get between a mosp and a friend of his in time to stop it from possibly killing her. He most definitely would not want something like that to happen again. Aside from that, balls/dances would've come rather easy to him due to the things he was taught growing up in his pure-blood household. There was the basic education, of course, but also the arts. He was taught how to dance, sing, and play instruments. Although, he had forgotten how to play most instruments by now and was only left with the ballroom dancing and singing he had learned. Dancing was something that he sort of always liked being that it made him feel good when he got to show off in being able to lead his partner.

It was barely past 8 PM, which meant it was curfew now and everyone should've been in their dorms. Everyone except Adonis and the fellow Slytherin he would soon have the pleasure or displeasure of meeting. Unknowingly at the moment though, of course. Why was Adonis going to the ballroom this late at night? Well, he figured he could get some practice in before the Autumn Ball and touch up on a bit on some moves by himself. The last time he had came here was last school year in which he ended up singing a song with one of his friends. As for this time around though? He would actually be sure to make good use of it.

Upon entering, Adonis immediately took notice of the girl who was already in the room and dancing alone. The boy quickly shuffled to the side after entering to keep himself as far away as possible and hopefully out of her line of sight. Adonis could only stand there watching for so long with a straight face until it turned into that of a grin. A hand rose up to cover his mouth as he began chuckling lightly in amusement while watching the girl attempt to dance. He felt bad for doing so but he couldn’t help it. His hand quickly fell and so did the look on his face once she had spotted him though. “Oh crap.” Yikes. She sure didn’t sound too pleasant to approach at the moment. He didn’t take much offense to being called that either since he had been sort of lurking after all. Then again, that wasn’t going to stop Adonis though. He wasn’t just going to run away all scared.

A sigh came from Adonis, stepping away from the wall he leaned against near the entrance to present himself. “Me. Hello. I apologize for standing around watching instead of saying something.” Don gave the fellow Slytherin a wave of his hand. “I too came here to practice on my own. You know... with the Autumn Ball coming up soon and all.” He said all of this in a calm voice in hopes of calming her down, giving a slight shrug afterwards. Donnie could only hope and pray that she wouldn’t sucker punch him in the face now that he was most likely in range.

He was laughing at her! A grin or not, to her that was a laugh and it not only embarrassed her further but caused the anger to raise that bit more. Her arms folded in annoyance and her eyes focused, glared even at the boy who was now approaching her revealing that he wore the same house colours. Luckily for him, she had a bit more time for those of her house. A bit more respect if you wanted to call it that, but nonetheless, it wasn't changing the fact that she was annoyed still at the grin he wore when seeing her attempt at dancing.

He followed up with an apology, his voice more chilled than she was expecting after her snapping at the poor boy. '' Whatever.'' She mumbled under her breath and too would shrug her shoulders back at him, not really accepting his apology so easily but rather just moving on passed it and listening in to what he had to say next. He would speak of the Autumn Ball. He had obviously thought of the same idea as she did. Hopefully, he was just as bad as her so she could laugh back at him. A petty, childish thought. One to which made her drop the idea immediately. “Shouldn't laugh at people you know. It's rude.” Her eyes had wandered towards the doors he came from, making sure there was nobody else watching them. They were officially out after hours by now meaning professors or prefects were sure to be lurking the corridors somewhere.

Moments passed before her attention was brought back to the boys. The dark brown hues stared deeply at him, glaring with what looked like hatred although it was just her normal stare which always had that hint of judgement to it. “Wouldn't of been laughin’ if I took you down now would you?” Her hands formed into a fist to which would show her anger, but her tone and choice of words would have given that away by now.

It seemed he was genuinely sorry for his actions, but Falentra couldn’t control her emotions once she went off on one. But it was late, and for a change she was more tired than usual meaning she couldn’t be bothered starting an argument or worse, a fight. She simply shook her head and turned her back to him and to her belongings that rested over the chair. “So... gettin’ some practice in before the Ball ?” The older Slytherin would have spoken in a tone much calmer than before, almost matching his own if it wasn’t for her laziness that began to show through her speech. “Reckon you ‘ave to show us how it’s done now that you’ve mocked me. Eh? What you think?” The girl turned and sat herself on the chair beside her belonging, her legs tucked up to her chest and her eyes yet again fixated onto the boy, awaiting for his response.
