A letter home

Aella just finished writing her letter to her parents back home she wrote telling them that she got into Slytherin -hopefully they’d be proud or at least happy about that- and she told them she’d see them at Christmas. She was alone in the Owlery no other students where in there and she found it quite peaceful, quiet and she enjoyed looking out at all the flying owls.
Aella stood up and gave her family owl the letter, it is a black and white feathered Eagle Owl that is getting quite old but he can still fly very well so therefore he can still deliver letters and parcels. Aella stroked the head of the owl and sent him off, she knew that she wouldn’t see him again until Christmas unless something happens at home her parents wouldn’t bother to send her a letter.
She watched the owl fly away and part of her was upset most other students had started to revive letters and parcels from home and she knew she never would, her parents have too many important things to do they wouldn’t even think to owl her.
Aella shook her head and pushed down her sad feelings putting back up her wall and hiding behind it. As she walked out of the Owlery she banged into another Slytherin girl who wasn’t looking where she was going.
