Truth be told Lucille would miss the many oddities the muggle world had to offer.

Many of those odd wonders being trick or treating, getting a costume last minute with her mother, and even just feasting on her favorite candies the day after All Hallows Eve.

To be fair however, the wizarding world had more then it's fair share of oddities in day-to-day life.

One perfect example was the use of helpful little owl messengers instead of simply 'calling' or 'texting'.

On the day before Halloween, Lucille would have probably had her yearly movie marathon with her father, though that's if she was at home. And this year, she was at a new home called Hogwarts.

Other then it being the day right before Halloween, it was simply breakfast time, which meant students getting a pile full of letters, sweets, and many different things.

Thanks to her wizard Uncle James, Lucille would be getting a small treat basket.

"Oh please be chocolate frogs.."
She would hope silently as a large brown owl flew near her small bowl of grits on the Ravenclaw table.

This little messenger seemed to be quite interested in the little bowl of grits, and Lucille, who simply wanted the envelope attached reluctantly handed the bird a small handful of her breakfast.

"Thank you bird!"
The Ravenclaw would call out as it exited out of the Great Hall.

Still very eager about the envelope, Lucille moved her bowl aside and hunched over to see it much closer.

"Happy Halloween guys.."
The girl would mutter as a small signal to her family in far away London. Last she checked they were with dad's parents, waiting to see her when the year was over, if she had to be honest her grandparents had never exactly liked Lucille's mother. And in turn Lucille would take it that they never liked her either.

With a small sigh Lucille tried to make her mind wander to better things, like what kind of candy would be in the envelope.
Twix? Reeses? Maybe even...a Hershey's chocolate bar?

That is the question..
The question that will now be answered!

As Lucille finally ripped open her envelope, she saw inside was a small zip-lock bag of many muggle delectables.

The most notable being a large king size LEFT Twix bar, the eagle would shake her head slightly laughing at the big 'LEFT' on the bar. It was a joke she and her uncle would always laugh about.

Still in her small flash-back sequence, Lucille wouldn't notice another student coming up to sit near her small breakfast placement.
Who knows what's going to happen now..

@Lucille Williams
Halloween held a special place in Pericles' memories, but not in the common sense.
His childhood had not been spent donning costumes and going from door to door, stocking up on sweets. Rather, the Dralts spent it as a family, honoring the harvest time with a grandiose feast. Some years they made a party of it, other years only involved dear friends and family. He may have missed out on trick-or-treating, though there was one thing which his celebrations had in common with most other children's: candy.

Pericles' freckled features were among those eagerly upturned scouring the flock of morning mail owls for one with familiar feathers. They brightened as soon as he spied a large Great Horned Owl in their midst, her trajectory fixed upon him. One hand raised to catch the parcel in her clutches, the other bent as an offered perch, unafraid of her talons. She visible took care to flutter just overhead before carefully alighting his arm. "Hullo Falathiel," Peri crooned quietly, beaming at the bird. Her sides heaved as she recaptured her breath, but just as quickly as she had landed, she regathered her strength and launched off again. The boy beamed after his father's owl for a moment more before unwrapping his gift. Within was an assortment of eye-catching sweets: a fresh pumpkin pasty tied in cloth, a small sack of Bolandi's Crystallized Pineapple, a bag of Mr. Spindle's Lick "O" Rish Spiders, and of course, two chocolate frog boxes stacked one atop the other. He glowed with gratitude, admiring the variety, but before he could settle on which to start with a voice caught his ear.

"Oh please be chocolate frogs...."
Pericles peered up. Across the way and down the row, a Ravenclaw witch seemed to sit on her lonesome. He witnessed her feed and thank her bird, unwittingly staring, smiling to himself til she murmured and sighed. The girl looked rather wistful, and he was keen on recognizing signs of homesickness. After all: he'd come to know the sensation well in recent weeks. After a moment's deliberation, he scooped his stash back into its wrapping and moved down so as to sit across from her. "S'cuse me...?" Pericles smiled in a lopsided way, mouth curling at one corner, watching with bright inquisitive eyes. The sweets were set down and a familiar blue box produced. "Would you like to trade? I'll gladly give you a chocolate frog for one of your..." he trailed, peering down into the bag, "...Left Bars? I've never seen one of those before."

[font=Century Gothic]Lucille would be lying if not to say she wasn't quite surprised when hearing a voice come from the other side of the Ravenclaw table.

'S'cuse me..?'
The voice said quietly, still giving the eagle an odd instintal jump at the sound.

Lucille scooted over when seeing who the voice came from exactly, a pale, well dressed, freckled boy... offering a candy trade?

Intrigued, Lucille spoke up suddenly, and even let a small giggle escape herself when hearing the boy refer to her Twix as a 'left bar'.

'Its called a Twix, silly. Y'know, the chocolate carmel one?'
Lucille thought for a moment on the subject.
'Its from the muggle-world, if you wanted we could share!'
The eagle finished excitedly.

A little early to offer her own candy to this stranger boy, but still, this was the oddly optimistic Lucille, so to say to was out of the ordinary would be a lie also.

"Oh right! Uh- My name is Lucille, what's yours?"
She said quickly after with a small smile on her face, putting out her right hand for a shake.

It was odd that Lucille had never seen nor remembered this boy yet, her 'inquisitive' nature made knowing people in advance much less hard, especially if this was speaking about her own housemate.

No matter, they were meeting now, right?
Another person met means another chance at a new friend, which Lucille seemed to be in desperate need of at this time.

Peering at the fellow Ravenclaw's candy haul this time, she noticed many unfamiliar sweets, including crystal pineapple, candy spiders, and the only kind she did remember, classic chocolate frogs.

Her favorite card being a jazzy wizarding singer Celestina Warbeck, reminding her of how cheesy yet how fun those kinds of songs could be.
