She had done her first readings the night before so she didn't feel nervous anymore and that was good. Tarot readings were something best done in a carefree open environment where no one felt any outside pressure. It was a way to steady the mind, to narrow the thinking and really focus on a problem or issue at hand. It wasn't a time for stress and so Alina threw that out.

Today, her first meeting was with Opelia Winters, a fellow Second Year student but one she hadn't come into contact with before. The girl had requested the Success Spread and it was one that Alina was quite familiar with as she worked that one out on herself quite regularly.

Before the session started, she checked to make sure everything was set up the way she had it before, the hanging fabric to give the bohemian feel, the lighted candles to promote calmness. She then headed out to the hall to greet her client. "Opelia Winters?" she asked with a bright smile and motioned the girl into the classroom. Her green eyes seemed to pale in comparison with Opelia's but she didn't take it in jealousy, only fascination.

"Welcome to the First Annual Tarot Card Readings by Alina. I'm Alina, Alina Rosier. Please sign at the bottom," she said, exactly as she had done in her meetings the day prior.

And just as before she went and sat down on the middle of the floor. There were blankets and pillows and other items so that her client felt comfortable and at ease. She began to shuffle the deck of cards in her hands.

Serena Bowen, Serena Bowen....how could she be in her Second Year at Hogwarts just as Serena and a Hufflepuff just as Serena and still have never spoken to this girl? Sometimes Alina figured she needed to get out a little more and spend time getting to know more of her classmates than talking to portraits or visiting her portrait cats or exploring the castle.

This was now her second day of doing readings and with the first day having gone quiet well, she was confident that this second day would go as well, if not better. She refilled the lemon drops on the dessert table (...mostly low due to the quantity she enjoyed) and then popped her head out into the corridors of the Second Floor.

"Serena Bowen?" she announced, letting it be known that she was ready for this appointment. She smiled kindly to the blonde that was beyond the door. "Welcome to the First Annual Tarot Card Readings by Alina. I'm Alina, Alina Rosier. Please sign at the bottom," and she handed the girl her disclaimer.

She then gave her run down of the refreshments and snacks. "You're welcome to some tea or lemonade and some pastries or candy," she said of the small table laid out with all things delicious. "When you're ready, we will begin," and she started by taking a lemon drop from the top of the glass jar they were in and popped one into her mouth before going to sit on the middle of the floor.

Around her there were blankets and pillows and other items so that her client felt at ease, that mixed with the colorful fabrics and candles lit...at a safe distance from the prior mentioned.

Alina checked her list of appointments for that evening and smiled upon seeing the name that was up next. Henry Knight. He was someone she already considered a friend and they got along remarkably but they just hadn't enough time to really spend together to get to be close friends and for some reason, she felt they really could be.

She wanted it to be on better terms though. She should have sought him out at the very beginning of the new school year and not now when her grades were rather atrocious. Sure, he had agreed to be her tutor on an as friends basis but she didn't want him to think she only wanted him around to get something from him. She wasn't a selfish girl like that. She was a giver, not a taker.

Maybe this could be a time to help strengthen that bond, who knew. She popped her head out into the hall and glanced one way, then the other to see him. "Henry Knight?" she called, inviting him into the Abandoned Classroom on the Second Floor.

It wasn't empty, nor did it have any grooming supplies left over from the pet grooming errand. Now it was relatively empty, the wooden features creating a warm welcoming feeling, with the lowering sun providing sunlight from the windows along the far wall. She had hung various colors of fabric all around to create a calming sort of bohemian feel and there were candles lit.

"Welcome to the First Annual Tarot Card Readings by Alina. I'm Alina, Alina Rosier," she paused to laugh because this was the first close person to her that had agreed to this crazy idea of hers and she really didn't need to do her standard introductions to this. He knew her. "Please sign at the bottom," she said and handed him a paper.

The space was decorated with blankets and pillows and soft cushions so that her client was comfortable.

The initial meeting was always the worst part of the entire session and she didn't hate it, it just was very routine. She liked it when they got into a conversation or got into the cards and could really talk with one another. This next appointment was a name that she didn't recognize and most certainly couldn't place a face with it. Starlee Kennedy.

One thing she did know for certain was that it was a brilliant name. A name as old as Alina paled in comparison to Starlee but she wasn't jealous, only happy that someone's parents thought up an awesome name for the girl.

Alina opened the door to the Abandoned Classroom on the Second Floor. "Starlee Kennedy?" she said, noticing the blonde outside. She invited her into the room which she had decorated with fabric of various colors to give a bohemian feel and lit candles to add warmth and relaxation. She then began her standard spiel to sound professional and all. "Welcome to the First Annual Tarot Card Readings by Alina. I'm Alina, Alina Rosier. Please sign at the bottom," she said as she presented a piece of paper for the girl to read.

Not being her first appointment of the evening, Alina already had probably one too many lemon squares and if she kept it up her stomach would not be happy with her. For now, she took to the middle of the floor and sat down where there were pillows and blankets and cushions spread out for the comfort of her client. She began shuffling the cards in her Tarot deck.

Upon crossing off her last client and looking to the next on the list, she saw the name Katrina Walker. Katrina was one of those girls that she could put a face with the name but nothing more. She knew she was beautiful but she couldn't even place what House the girl was in at that moment.

But friend, foe, or stranger - it didn't matter. She wanted to provide the students with just something fun to do for the month of October and so she had gotten out some of the old decks of Tarot cards that her father had purchased for her through the years. Her favorite was laid out in the middle of the floor, ready for the session.

Alina made sure the blankets and pillows and cushions adorning the space were nicely placed and that the flowy colorful fabric draped around still seemed flowy. Then she checked her little refreshment and snack table, taking in one more lemon square before this next appointment.

"Katrina Walker?" she said as she popped her head out to the corridors. Now it was time for her normal spiel. "Welcome to the First Annual Tarot Card Readings by Alina. I'm Alina, Alina Rosier. Please sign at the bottom," and she gave the girl a piece of paper as she headed back into the Abandoned Classroom there on the Second Floor of the school.

"Please, make yourself comfortable. The cards work better that way," she smiled again. "You're welcome to some tea or lemonade; or some pastries or candy. When you're ready, we will begin." And she went and sat down on the floor next to the lit candles and spread out her deck of cards before gathering them back up, shuffling them, spreading them out, shuffling them again.

Katrina wasn't really sure why she had entered the line for Tarot Card Reading, but it seemed fun. Katrina didn't recognize the girl organizing it, but she seemed nice enough. Katrina was happy to partake in something that expressed personality and was a bit excited to see what the cards said.

As the line started to dwindle, Katrina thought back to the last time she had a tarot reading. Had there been any indication that three weeks after that, her parents would see her for their last time? Had there been any mention of the house fire? Any inkling about what was still coming? No, the only thing Katrina remembered was the man telling her that she was destined to be 'a mother' to many. Not something a 10 year old cared about or even wanted to think about for a long time. But now that she thought about it, she sort of was a mother to the students, or like a mother figure. She was always caring for them or looking out for them.

Her train of thought was cut short when the girl called her in. The room she entered was gorgeous, it seemed the girl-Alina -had put quite a bit of effort into the whole set up. Katrina accepted the paper and read it over. Yes, she understood nothing was guaranteed. With a flourish, Katrina signed the bottom, hesitating just a moment before handing it back to Alina. There were plenty of stories of people signing things and then someone 'Revilio'ing the page to reveal something nefarious below. But it seemed she just didn't want to get in trouble if someone was a bit extreme.

Alina grabbed a lemon square and returned to her spot on the floor, shuffling and reshuffling the cards. Katrina grabbed a pastry and bit into it, reveling a moment at the taste. She really needed to eat more desserts, they were just so good. The Third-Year tried to relax, letting a passive smile rest on her face. Katrina curiously watched and took a seat in front of Alina.
