Journey Home
Rose blushed. "No, I don't mind. Um, yeah, I met him during summer camp and I went to his house..." And I saved his life... And then he saved my life... Not really, though. "And he asked me out, like, if we could start dating. And said yes, so... yeah, I have a boyfriend now." She smiled just thinking about him. She started gushing, "He's really sweet and gentle, and he's super funny. And my romantic life before him is like, nonexistent."
She smirked teasingly, and said, "Anyone interesting in either of your lives?"
She nodded. "Yeah, my life is the definition of organized chaos," she laughed at the accuracy of that. She liked when things were organized, and she made the effort to do that, but so much of her life was painfully chaotic, with being the middle child of five, and the daughter of a single mom who worked all the time, as well as her anxiety slowly conquering her thoughts.
"That's really cool, I'm sorry about..." she shrugged, telling herself to just stop talking. "Whatever happened to make you guys ex-friends."
The train jerked forward and Rose clutched the seat to stop herself from crashing into Scarlett.
The train began to pick up speed, and Rose looked out the window for a moment.
Auri half-heartedly shared that she lived in Godric's Hollow as well. She wiped away a tear- maybe she was tired? Or maybe... maybe Godric's Hollow wasn't the place with the happiest memories for Auri. "Lucky," Rose murmured. Little did Rose know, that by this time next year, she, too, would be moving to Godric's Hollow, but not in the way she wanted to. Her face was forced into a happy expression, but her eyes... And Auri was way too quiet for Auri.
Rose hated that she could do that- see how someone was really feeling, by their eyes, or the slightest little quirk. Ignorance is bliss, and Rose wished she could be ignorant of that kind of stuff, never knowing about it. Like a normal person.
Rose thought she had remembered that Auri had two older brothers. No wonder she was so competitive and strong. Auri was barely girly at all. Scarlett definitely wasn't.
The compartment was very sad in that moment. Rose would be fine if the girls wanted to have a cry-fest, though it would surprise her if either or both of the girls would put down their pride and cry in front of anyone or each other. Rose probably wouldn't.
Her voice shattered the few seconds of silence, an awkward anomaly in the former state of the compartment. "What else..." Rose searched for more topics to talk about, so they didn't sit in awkwardness the entirety of the train ride- that would freak out Rose's anxiety. "What's your favorite... subject at Hogwarts?" Rose asked them. That was a good subject that probably wasn't too delicate and good to talk about. Plus, Hogwarts. Did any more need to be said? Hogwarts.

@Rose Moon @Aurelia Roberts
Scarlett glanced at Aurelia in a rather worried expression as the Gryffindor's eyes as her radiant smile faded away, her eyes growing distant as they looked outside of the train window, as if searching for something. As a tear - as tear! - slipped down the girl's cheek, Scarlett was about to open her mouth to intervene when Auri wiped the tear away quickly, saying that she - also lived in Godric's Hollow? Scarlett couldn't fully express her shock at this, with the fragile-looking state her friend was in, but she managed a simple, "Well that's...surprising! Where do you live, exactly? Near the town centre, or..."
The train was off and on its way to Hogwarts. Scarlett turned to a blushing Rose, and with a small smile and playfully raised eyebrows, she listened to Rose talk about her new boyfriend. "OoOoOh a meeting at his house," said Scarlett, playfully wiggling her eyebrows. "He sounds like a good guy. I'll have to properly meet and talk to him, because if he does any funny business-"
She left the threat hanging then burst out laughing.
Rose then asked about their favourite subjects in Hogwarts. Scarlett thought for a second, before jumping in with an answer. "Either Charms." She paused delicately. "Or Flying. I'm trying out for the Quidditch team this year! How about you guys?────── ☆ ───────
