OOC: I was actually thinking that as well, but it seems. . . well, right, I guess. Thank you too, I can't wait to do other roleplays with you!

Paisley seemed to relax a bit, which made Allie's spirits lift as well. She hated seeing anyone feeling upset or scared, or even just sad, really, and she was glad to have helped another student out. "I-I'm sorry for dumping this all on you. It must seem so sudden. But to me, it's like-like. . . The grounds today. Last night there was a storm outside, but today it's just the nice feeling after a rainstorm. And you, you're like that rainbow, over there. The reason this day is so wonderful," Paisley told her. Allie gave her a smile.

"It's quite alright, I don't mind." There was a pause, and Allie looked around the courtyard. Surprisingly, there were only about six other students out and about, and most of them looked like they hadn't been paying any attention to the drama that had been happening over here a few moments earlier. The Ravenclaw turned back to Paisley just as she thanked her. Allie watched as the other girl wiped away some tears and smiled back. "No, thank you," she told her friend. "All of this has woken me completely up!" she gave Paisley a sly grin and then laughed a little. It seemed to help break some of the tension still hanging around in the air, to Allie's relief.

When Paisley asked about gobstones and her mother, the first year nodded before explaining. Both my parents are wizards, but we're not purebloods, since there have been multiple Muggles in our family. For jobs, my father works for the Ministry of Magic as an Auror, and my mother stays at home. She used to be my teacher as well, and would homeschool me before I came here to learn instead." she motioned around herself at the castle and grounds that were Hogwarts. Slightly tilting her head to one side, she looked curiously back at Paisley. "What about you?" She wanted to learn a little more about the other girl as much as Paisley had wanted to learn about her family and it's history.

"My families not nearly as interesting as your's. My mom's a witch, and my dad's a muggle. He knows about magic, of course, but he doesn't use it. I don't actually think he can. He doesn't have a wand or anything. My cousin and aunt both went to Hogwarts, too, but other than that, I'm not sure. I don't really know anymore of my family. They all live around the world." said Paisley. She realized just how long she and Allie had been talking when she saw the sun was almost directly above them. It was nearly the afternoon! Good gosh how time flies when you're having fun!

"Oh my gosh, it's getting really late. I can't believe how long we've been talking!" said Paisley, to no one in particular. She gazed out contentedly for a few long moments. She had nothing to say, but then something sparked inside her mind. She remembered a game she had used often to get to know someone better, and wondered if the Ravenclaw knew it, too.

"Hey, you know what? Have you ever done two truths and a lie? It's a really fun game that I played with my cousin all the time. It's pretty straight-forward, the name says it all. You just say two things that really happened to you, and then make one up. It's really fun." said Paisley, wondering if Allie still wanted to talk to her at this moment.

Usually Paisley would want to leave a conversation by now, but today was different. She was actually having fun, and in this instance didn't ever want to stop talking. Still, she didn't want the Ravenclaw across from her doing anything she didn't want to. That would make her feel a million times worse.

OOC: It's fine, and sorry this is a little short!

Allie gave Paisley a warm smile. "No, it's fine, your family is quite interesting. How did your parents meet? Did your mother go to Hogwarts as well?" she hesitated. "Sorry for all these questions, I love learning new things about, well, everything really." she added with a sheepish grin. When the other girl looked up at the sky, Allie followed her gaze and noticed how bright it had gotten. It must be later than I realized, she thought, at the same time that Paisley said,

"Oh my gosh, it's getting really late. I can't believe how long we've been talking!" The Ravenclaw nodded in agreement.

"Yes, it's almost lunch, I think." Hopefully Paisley wanted to keep talking, but if she didn't Allie would be fine with it. The other girl might have something else she had to do today, since on the weekends was usually the time when students hung out with their friends. Allie hadn't made any close friends yet, so she didn't really have anyone else to talk to, but the girl beside her might. Luckily, Paisley started a new conversation, which signaled that she was going to stay and keep talking.

Allie tilted her head slightly at Paisley's question. "Two truths and a lie. . ." she shrugged, trying to remember. "No, I don't believe I have. Is it a Muggle thing? Or. . ." Allie made sure to listened carefully as the other girl explained the rules. "That sounds fun. . . would you like to start?" While waiting for a reply, she thought of an answer herself, just in case Paisley told her to start. She thought the game would be interesting, if she could come up with tricky truths and lies.

Hmm. . . two truths and a lie. . . well. . . After a few moments, the Ravenclaw grinned, having thought of all threealready.

"Ok, Hmmm...Let's see here..." Paisley thought for a moment, tapping her chin as if deep in thought. She took her games very seriously. "I've never eaten applesauce, I've held a live bird, and I hate cats." Paisley giggled. She thought her's were pretty funny, although the cat one was obvious. Of course she disliked cats, they were creepy, slimy little creatures that made their owners obey their every move. Dogs were much better. They were loyal, strong and tough.

"Just remember to put them in a different order. If you say it in the order of truth, truth, lie then I'll know which is which." Paisley paused, and then let out a short laugh. "You probably already knew that, thought." She twiddled her thumbs for a moment, thinking briefly of what had just happened. It settled in just then. Allie knew her secret, and hadn't run away. She didn't despise her. She had not even stared at her in horror. She had been accepting, understanding and kind.

Delicious smells began to waft from the Hogwarts castle, and Paisley was looking forwards to a good meal. All of this confession and crying business made her stomach growl in hunger! "I wonder what we'll be having today? I bet all my money it's something with the word tart in it. Everything has that word here." Paisley said with a smile. It was true, what she had said, and she thought it to be rather funny.

She looked again into the distance. She was well aware she had done this before, but the horizon was so peaceful and beautiful it was hard to ignore. Paisley loved the sunset, but more so she loved the peace it brought. That was all she wanted. To live life happily, without caring what others think of you.

Of course, with her curse, it was hard to find peace anywhere. The reason Paisley was so elated was because she felt as if she had just found it.

Paisley started the game, listing three things that could either be true or false. "Hmm. . ." Allie murmured. Well, she got one right off the bat - the cat one was probably true, since she was almost positive dogs and cats didn't get along most of the time, and with Paisley being a werewolf and all. . . "The one about you hating cats is true," she began, "And. . . okay, let me think a little more." she gave Paisley a smile, then turned her concentration back to the game.

Applesauce. . . live bird. . . which one was true and which was a lie? The Ravenclaw bit her lip as she tried to figure it out. After a few seconds of silence, she sighed. "I really have no idea, I'm just guessing." she said to the Gryffindor with a small shrug. "Okay, so, the applesauce one is true and the bird one is not?" she finally asked. Paisley's statements were all pretty interesting, and she was curious to see if she was right or not.

"I did figure that out already. . . although you could do it just to trick the other person," she said after a pause. "Okay, my turn." Allie ticked off the sentences on her fingers, saying one, tapping a finger, and then saying the next. "My first magic was making a book float down from a shelf I couldn't reach, my favorite color is purple, and I don't have any cousins." They were completely random, she knew, but hopefully they were hard enough. . .

Laughing a bit at what Paisley had said about every food having the word tart in it, Allie nodded. "That is true. . . I like tarts though, so I'm fine with it." she grinned. The few people around them had just started getting up and walking towards the castle building, most likely going to get lunch.

"Wow! You're right!" Paisley said to Allie's response. It was surprising she had guessed correctly, especially because they had just met. A sniffle escaped her as it does after you have been crying, even though she didn't feel remotely upset anymore.

She felt her face flush embarrassingly. She sounded like a small child after they throw a temper tantrum! "-Sorry." she muttered. She did not like it when she stood out at all; and sniffling like a blubbering whale was not helping her keep a low-profile. The courtyard was always full of students. Heads turned in her direction and she glared back at them, her face turning an even deeper shade of scarlet. At least there aren't as many people here today. Maybe none of them will even know I was the one crying. There are plenty of other brunettes around, aren't there? the other side of Paisley's mind responded with, You're wearing a bright yellow and black sweater, who wouldn't notice you is the question. You should just hide in the dorm room and never come out.

When Allie made her two truths and a lie, she thought for a moment before guessing. The game of two truths and a lie was hard work, and she didn't like it when she got things wrong. "Is the lie you don't have any cousins?" she asked hesitantly. "Wait no, the book is the lie! actually, I'm not sure at all..." she laughed. "I think the cousins is the lie." she decided at last.

A brisk wind swept through the trees, bringing with it the chill of the coming autumn. The scent of rain and clouds filled the air, and Paisley shivered, pulling her sweater over her tighter. "It's getting cold, we should head in soon." she suggested. It looked as if the rain would come back.

Paisley gaped at Allie as she said she liked tart things. "Really? Wow. Tart does not go well with me at all. I had a bad experience with a lemon. I prefer sweet to sour, thank you very much." she said firmly, and then nose-laughed.

The Gryffindor told her that she was correct and Allie raised her eyebrows. "Really?" she said, genuinely surprised. "Like I said, I was guessing. . . but yay!" she laughed happily. She barely heard the other girl's sniffle, and didn't make any comment on it until Paisley mentioned it herself. "It's okay," she reassured her friend. Seeing the Gryffindor's face flush red, she repeated herself, her tone a little forceful as she tried to sound completely certain about it.

Paisley thought a little before guessing about Allie's two truths and a lie. Allie smiled as she waited for the other girl to settle on an answer. It took a few moments, but eventually she guessed one. The Ravenclaw didn't reply right away, drawing the moment out to make it more suspenseful. After a long beat, the girl finally gave her friend an answer.

"My first magic was not floating a book down from the shelves. . . I unlocked a door." she said, a little sheepishly. "I know, not very exciting. I would have liked it to have been the book though." she added with a grin. "So I really do have no cousins." Allie finished. She was tempted to say the word 'sorry' as well, because she was pretty sure getting it wrong wasn't something anyone liked, but stopped herself at the last moment. She had been told she apologized too much before.

"It's getting cold, we should head in soon." Paisley told her as the wind grew a little stronger around them. Allie nodded, a little reluctantly. She was having a lot of fun, and didn't want it to end, but Paisley was right. The clouds looked heavy and dark, telling the girls it was going to rain soon.

"Yes, we should. . ." she didn't stand up quite yet. When Paisley replied to her comment about liking tart things, she laughed a little at the tone the other girl was using. She sounded so serious about it - well, up until she laughed as well. A few seconds passed, and Allie finally stood up from the bench, almost forgetting about her bag but quickly picking it up once she remembered. "So. . . see you soon?" she asked, hesitantly before she left.
