A New Find PV Haley Rose Finished

Alina popped up quickly and smiled to the girl. She leaned down to place some of her things into her bag and once they were inside, she took out another lemon drop from her bag and then a rolled piece of parchment. "I've realized why they don't give First Years a map...or rather I have a theory." She took the ribbon off of the parchment and began to unravel it to reveal what was written upon it.

"Last year I started this map and yet...I can never seem to complete it. I think, and don't send me off to the hospital wing for mental impairment but hear me out, ...I think the castle somehow changes. I think sometimes rooms are different sizes, closets there one time and not the next, secret passages...and then there's the moving staircases which some take minutes and others take DAYS."

Still, despite not being able to complete it she still viewed it as one of her greatest accomplishments there at Hogwarts. It was accurate enough to be rather impressive and the fact that it was unfinished just gave her a task to do during times when she thought there was nothing else to do or she wanted to get her mind off other things.

"The place is simply amazing. I still think the Great Lake is my favorite place to be, but I also like the grove of trees over there on the grounds. I like the breeze of the Scottish Highlands and feeling the sunshine on my face so I like to be outdoors when I can. Otherwise the Library is beautiful." She could be found there sometimes but not so much to study but a chance to get to see her friends in various houses. She usually avoided the Courtyard. It was a favorite by many but that was the very problem - SO many!

"Where do you think you'd like to go?"

Haley got a short fright when Alina jumped up so suddenly. Then she formed a big smile with her lips. "No, it doesn't sound crazy to me at all, but exactly what Hogwarts is like" Haley laughed loudly, "That makes sense through and through."

Haley remembered all the stories her mother used to tell her as a child. She never knew if everything in her stories could be true, because so often it sounded too surreal. "My mother used to tell me a lot of things about Hogwarts when I was a kid. I never knew what was true and what wasn't. Have you ever heard of the Room of whishes? Or did you ever discover a secret passage?"

But to answer Alina's question, Haley pulled herself out of her thoughts again and quickly answered her "I'd love to see your favorite place, the library, and maybe you have some helpful tips on how not to get lost on the way to the classrooms all the time?" Haley looked at her hopefully.

After they started moving, Haley took in as many impressions as she could. The more she thought about the secret passages, the more she realized that this didn't sound as absurd as she had thought at first. She knew there was more here than it seemed to be. She felt the tingling in her limbs, how she felt like going on an adventure, how she felt like doing something forbidden.
