Akari had been lazily chilling on the couch in the Gryffindor common room when she had suddenly remembered that she still needed work on an assignment for school. She groaned out loud while standing up and walking back to her dorm room to get a quill, some books and a couple of parchment papers. She then sulked back down through the common room and went out into the corridors. She really wasn't in the mood for doing the homework today... or as a matter of fact ever. The thing about Akari was that she didn't really mind studying so much in actual class but she detested any and all homework for the reason in her over exaggerating mind being that it would 'bore her to death'.

She continued moping as she walked into the library while hugging the supplies close to her chest and didn't pay attention to who was around, then found a spot at a table and then dropped down into a chair with a huff of annoyance. She opened her books and began to attempt to start the project but also had ended up just staring at the page blankly while starting to daydream. She fidgeted with her quill, twirling it around in her fingertips and gave in to her random thoughts that were coming and going. She eventually even placed her arms on the table and rested her head on them. At this point, she had realized that her mind was elsewhere and she could not keep her focus but she wasn't sure what would help. This was a problem. The assignment was due soon and the furthest she had gotten was writing her name and the date on the paper.

Allie had been in the Hogwarts Library for the past two hours, and she was absolutely, completely exhausted. All she had been doing was studying and homework, and her brain felt like it was going to shut down any moment. Still, she had one last assignment to do, and there was no way she was going to abandon it for later. Allie wanted to get everything done so she could have time to hang out with friends.

Fiddling with her pen, the Ravenclaw sat there for a few moments, unsure what to write yet. This was how most of her assignments began, with her sitting quietly thinking, then eventually writing everything down on the paper. Right now though, Allie kind of felt like falling asleep then and there. Rubbing her eyes once then looking around the Library, the first year student decided to stand up and stretch her legs by taking a quick walk around the room and maybe grabbing a few extra books along the way.

After getting up from her seat and pushing in her chair, Allie began to wander between the shelves of books, noticing that the Library was practically empty. There was a Gryffindor girl sitting with her head in her books in one area, but after a quick look Allie was able to confirm that it wasn't anyone she knew. Walking past her, the Ravenclaw took a few books off the shelves that she thought might help and then began heading back to her table when she saw someone she did know. The cloud of exhaustion that had surrounded her cleared a bit, and Allie waved to the girl.

"Hi Paisley," she whisper-shouted.

Paisley started to approach Akari as she saw her, but then decided against it. They seemed to be annoyed and unfocused, and Paisley knew that in this mood, it was best to be left alone. She walked along a different shelf and wondered if she should leave or keep studying. Both had their good side and their bad side.

Before she could decide which to pick, she heard a whisper of her name from somewhere else in the library. She recognized the voice, and looked around for a few moments before making eye contact with the only person who knew her secret. The only person whom Paisley could call close. In fact, it was the person Paisley felt as if she always wanted to see.

"Allie? Oh, hi!" she waved back, and then ushered her over, glancing at Akari, who was still huffing and puffing about something in front of them. "That's my friend from Gryffindor over there. I was about to go say hello to her, but then I saw you! Should I introduce you? She's really nice. How are you?" her voice had been getting loud near the end of her fast but short compilation of questions, and she lowered it quickly, glancing around. A few students had shushed her, glaring.

She felt her face flush and she played worriedly with a strand of hair as she spoke again. "Oops! uh, I mean, oops. So embarrassing...I don't know how to be quiet..." Paisley muttered under her breath, so softly probably only Allie could hear her, if that. she had a problem with being loud, and she knew it all too well. She had a terrible experience at the library at her muggle school that she did not want to even think about. This was a different school, with different people. surely she didn't know any of them from the incident?

In the last few minutes, nothing changed and Akari continued to gaze blankly at the parchment paper placed in front of her and had even considered giving up completely and marching out of the library since what was the point of being there if she was just going to sit and sulk miserably?

But she was then was pulled out of her thoughts when she heard someone speak louder than the usual soft 'library voice' which caused her to turn around to see where it was coming from. It sure sounded as if whoever it had come from was having a much better time than she was. And who did it turn out to be? None other than the sweet girl that she had met in the common room, Paisley. Akari saw her conversing with another girl who looked their age and decided to go over to the two of them. She pushed herself out of the chair she was in and walked over to the two girls with a small smile, happy that she found an excuse to procrastinate her homework for a little longer.

"Hey Paisley" She whispered, making sure to say it in a quiet tone so she wouldn't get reprimanded by the other students. She only after realized that it could come across as a little rude for her to randomly butt into their conversation but oh well, it was too late now. She then turned to the other girl that was present and held out her hand then took the initiative and decided to introduce herself. "Hello, I don't believe we've met before. I'm Akari"

Paisley's eyes searched the library around her, finally falling on Allie. Her face seemed to light up, which made Allie's smile grow wider. The two had met quite recently - and really, only once - but somehow they had grown very close over that time. The other girl had told her that she was a werewolf the first time they met, something that didn't bother Allie as much as she thought it may. Of course, she had been a bit surprised, but she could tell that Paisley truly wouldn't hurt her, and that made things a lot better.

"Allie? Oh, hi!" Paisley said to her, motioning for her to come over and the Ravenclaw did so. The other first year then told her that she knew the other Gryffindor girl Allie had passed on her way over. "That's my friend from Gryffindor over there. I was about to go say hello to her, but then I saw you! Should I introduce you? She's really nice. How are you?" It was an overload of questions and statements, and Allie put out her hands in front of her as if to slow her down.

"That was a lot of information," she said with a giggle. "But. . . You know her? Oh, forgot, you just said you guys were in the same house, my bad. And I would love to meet her." Pausing, she grinned. "I'm fine. How are you?" Laughing again, she realized neither of them had been being very quiet, and other students around them looked a little upset. The girl bit her lip and exchanged a look with Paisley, who seemed to be having similar thoughts based on what she said next. "It's okay," she told the Gryffindor with a sheepish smile. "I wasn't being quiet either. I'm just so happy to see you again!"

"Hey Paisley" Came a soft new voice from behind Allie. The girl quickly turned around to see who had spoken. A girl was standing behind her, and she had reached out her hand to Allie as she introduced herself. "Hello, I don't believe we've met before. I'm Akari" she said. Allie smiled and nodded, then shook the Gryffindor's hand.

"I'm Allie," she replied, and then answered Akari's other question as well. "Well, I came to the Library to do my homework, but I still have one more thing to do." she realized it might seem like she wanted to finish that instead of talking with the two girls, so she quickly added, "I'm not in the mood to finish it right now though. . . what about you?"
