When you need to be alone
Date: September 17th
Time: Morning, during breakfast
The sun was high in the sky already shining on all in it's path that morning as most student's were in the great hall enjoying breakfast or catching up with friends, it was merely just a few day's since classes had started and already the halls were buzzing with gossip. A second year, taller than most but also shorter than others with blue eyes, lightly tan skin and brown hair that fell past his ears dressed in a slytherin uniform except unlike other student's uniforms this one looked like it was barley on, since the tie was loosey hanging around his neck, his shirt was untucked, his slytherin robe unbuckled, and that usual uniform belt was no where to be seen.
The second year also avoided the great hall filled with the sounds of chatter and laughter, instead he walked through the castle until he got to the grounds from there he trudged through the grass as dew drops falling around him from leaves of the brushes and trees around the grounds. The second year had a messager type bag on his shoulder as he walked at a fast pace toward a certain classroom which wasn't that difficult for him since hardly anyone else was on the grounds during that time.
The second year bypassed the black lake and the path leading to the quidditch pitch and also flying class area, he then avoided the paths he took to his other spots when he needed to be alone and eventually made it to the care of magical creatures classroom, a class for third years to elect to take. Henry sadly was a second year and while he couldn't take the class that year, that didn't stop the second year from going to the class and either sitting and thinking their by himself or finding a creature to study or interact with.
Henry entered the classroom and almost took a deep breath of relief as he closed his eyes real quick before reopening them. Henry scanned around the classroom and luckily, probably because it was so early there was no one else there which made the boy quite happy since he had a lot on his mind and planned to isolate himself with his thoughts which would make them and his anxiety worse even thought the twelve year old didn't know it at the time.
The boy only took a few steps inside the outdoor classroom when a owl came flying in, Henry recognized the owl as his older brother's female barn owl; Sandy and assumed that she had a letter from him but how mistaken he was. As the owl dropped a scarlet red envelope into the boy's hand before flying away, clearly not wanting to see the event play out. Henry turned the letter in his hand and saw the golden and black seal of his father, he saw others receive howlers but he never got one himself well not until now but at least he was lucky enough to be alone so he wouldn't feel embarrassed about it or was he actually alone?
A question that Henry couldn't answer since the scarlet red letter jumped from his hand and into the air as it magically became a alive and started to shout words in his father's voice, words that would make Henry lose it, that would just break him, that would prove he couldn't hide away his emotions anymore.
When the letter finished, it rapidly tore itself up and the pieces landed at Henry's feet. As his emotions, thoughts, worries, and anxiety was boiling inside the boy at every thought of each word that the howler just shouted at him. What did his father know, it wasn't like he understood him or knew what he was going through, Henry's blood was boiling and his head was throbbing as his heart was pounding in his chest and his mind wanted one thing, one thought came to him, to run away.Henry William Knight,
I expected better from you. Skipping class, detention, if this is your way on getting attention from me or others then I recommend you stop this nonsense before something else happens. I recieved a owl from the school saying you been skipping your classes and acting disrespectful, I also found you letters to your brother stating you earn detention twice so much, I expect better from you, Henry. I didn't raise you to rebel or act this way, your brother never did these things while he was at Hogwarts and since you two seem so close I thought his good example would rub off on you. I guess I was wrong.
If you don't change your behavior and ways by Christmas then you and I have a more serious discussion face to face during your holiday that will he accompany with serious punishment.
He let his messager type bag fall to the ground as he consider that thought, now more than ever he wanted to run. To escape, to get away from his life and his problems, to never look back and just run, to run to something better. The twelve year old couldn't help but like the idea of getting away of all his problems, of his life as he couldn't take the pressure or worries anymore, he would normally hide his emotions or keep them hidden from others but this day, this day he couldn't.
Henry fell to his knees as hot tears fell down his cheeks and even through he blink them back they still fell, Henry leaned forward on his knees so his chest and knees connected and his arms held the earth in front of him with hot tears still running down his face, what was happening to him?
