Field Day | Bottle Flip (but cool)
@Amara Dragamior and @Ami Procoppio
A small smile appeared on his lips, not from his bottle landing once more but from the girl beside him. She introduced herself politely before looking back at the bottle to cast another flippendo "Percival Gray, good to meet you Amara" he replied, his gaze seemingly stuck on the newcomer. Her appearance was memorising, a feeling he hadn't felt about someone for a very long time. She had bright gold hair that could catch anyone's attention, and sapphire eyes that could ease the pain of any boy. When she turned back to him, she seemed to almost be studying him in a way when both of their eyes met once more. Percy could only stare back in silence, more in clarity compared to everything else.
Eventually, he managed to peel his stare away from the girl at the bottle "Flippendo" he said carelessly with a quick swish of his wand before looking back at Amara with a friendly smile this time "So, what's your story?" he asked curiously while shooting a stern look at Ami, who always seemed to have a sulk on her face when going past the pair "I've always lived in a place called St Ives down in Cornwall, where my family line has been living for the past hundred years" he said, almost certain he wasn't talking to a muggle or half blood at this point. Percy had gained a knack to sperate the muggles from the purebloods, just from listening to their voice and what they wore. Most of the time he was correct, but some pests sometimes fell through the net

Mentioning @Scarlett Aden and @Ami Procoppio
A large grin spread across Nell's face when she saw the @Scarlett Aden's bottle fall over. Yes, it was kind of mean but, she really wanted to win. Even though there was a big chance she wouldn't win, seeing as she was the only one without a bottle flipped. Nell looked over her shoulder to see a grin on @Ami Procoppio's face as well. Nell wanted to take a small break from sabotaging, so she decided to attempt to flip her bottle this time. Again. And this time, she really hoped it wasn't a complete failure. She really, really, really hoped because if it did, she could embarrass herself a second time. Not really the path that she wanted to take.
The second year grasped her wand tightly and took a deep breath. She pointed the tip of her wand towards the tedious plastic bottle and with the confidence she had only felt on other time, she shouted - the quietist shout - the incantation. "Flipendo!" she said. She moved her wand in that same familiar motion and casted the spell. And then she turned around. She couldn't bear to look at everyone if she failed again. She probably would look at someone but... Never mind that.

Field Day | Bottle Flip (but cool)
@Lizzie Callaghan has been skipped this round.
So, things seemed to be going quite well, which was obviously ideal. At least no one was face-planting into the ground or trying to hex each other; but on the other hand, everyone was looking ridiculously bored, which was seriously stressing Ami out. What was the point in the event if no one enjoyed it? Racking her brain for some solution to spice things up, she came up with... well, nothing. It was pathetic, honestly; that she could come up with the entire concept of Field Day in about an hour, and yet over the course of 5 minutes, couldn't think of a way to make a bunch of second years' lives miserable. What kind of a fourth year was she?
As expected, @Amara Dragamior landed another water bottle successfully, and although she seemed utterly bored with the vent, her interest seemed to have been piqued by a conversation with @Percival Gray, which was fine by her. Percival also managed to land his water bottle successfully, with little to no effort, which infuriated Ami to no end. How could these little scrubs already be so proficient at magic? It was just so unfair!
Ever the bright little soul, @Piérre Marchonné landed his water bottle successfully on his crate, earning him another point and an enthusiastic grin from Ami. The gorgeous Gryffindors @Aurelia Roberts and @Scarlett Aden quickly followed suit, while sneaky @Nell Zoldak landed hers just moments after. All in all, everyone seemed to be doing really well, and it would most likely prove to be an incredibly close competition.
A sudden idea coming to her head, Ami clapped her hands together. "Bonus points for anyone who shows off their dances moves!" she cried, the expression on her face dead serious. "Bonus bonus points if you can do a headstand, but I doubt you can." ... yeah, the Hufflepuff had officially gone crazy. But if dancing helped the motley group of second years to loosen up a little bit, maybe it would be worth it.
| ====================================== | == | ================================= |
![]() |
== | "I'll go first," she decided, her eyes crossing as she seemed to be thinking deeply. What epic dance move would she pull out of her giant arsenal first? It hadn't been all that long ago that her Dance Off with Donald had transpired, and she had certainly picked up a few moves from the younger Hufflepuff. Clearing her throat, Ami proceeded to throw her hands up in the air and wiggle her knees enthusiastically, groovin' out to some imaginary beat in her mind. "If you think this is bad," she cried, dancing around the second years, "Just be glad that I'm not singing." So clearly, she was dead serious about her offer of bonus points. The only thing she could do now was to wait and see if anyone took her up on her offer of a relaxing, freeing dance break. She could only hope that they would, because she sure felt awkward as hell dancing alone like this. |

As this event has... well, pretty much 0 drama/things to write 200 words about, I'm giving you the option to have your character start dancing with Ami. Yes, this will be counted as a bonus action (meaning you can flip AND dance); yes, I will actually give you bonus points if you come up with something that makes me laugh; yes, I will be rolling to see if your character looks great or looks ridiculous. GIFs are not required but highly appreciated.
OOC Notes and Reminders
- You may choose between two different actions each round: Flip or Sabotage.
======
- If you choose to FLIP, you will cast Flipendo. I will roll for success in casting (wisdom [DC 9]) and landing it (accuracy [DC 10]).
- If you choose to SABOTAGE, you will attempt to knock over someone else's bottle (please specify who) by chucking a pebble. They must have a bottle already landed in order to target them. I will roll for accuracy (accuracy [DC 13]), and then roll for power (strength [DC 9]).
- As can be seen here, you may improvise some other action that is not listed if you want. However, that means you will be subject to my judgment, discretion, and "house-rules" (as I've heard it been called on Critical Role). Proceed with caution.
- Please post within five days of each mod post. Next mod post will be September 29.

Dance??? No way. Even though it's points??? Well... She thought it over. Nell absolutely despised doing anything in front of people, and that most definitely included dancing. But, for once, she'd dance. Nell was in last place so far, so a bonus wouldn't hurt, right? Nell waited until pretty much everyone had their back turned except, Ami, of course. Nell did a little dance and smiled. She then turned bright red. What the heck did I just do!!?? Her face looked like a cherry as she grasped her wand tightly. That was so embarrassing. Her palm was sweaty as she faced the water bottle in front of her. She would flip this time because, you know, she really needed to get above one for her flip count. Nell sighed and looked around. Nobody had done anything yet. She really needed to succeed in the spell so she could be in tied with someone for once. She sighed pointed the tip of her wand towards to plastic water bottle and moved her wand in the same motion. "Flipendo!" she incanted. And this time she watched. She didn't turn away like the other time. Nell really wanted to see what the heck was going to happen this time around.

As Percival introduces himself, Amara turns to flip her next bottle. Rolling her eyes at Ami, the redheaded, annoying, event planner Amara mutters, "Fillpendo" yet again. The blonde listens to Percival's story and nods at the mention of Cornwall, a place she has heard of in the past but never been too. "Originally from Moscow, but now I split my time between Whales and my grandparent's estate in Omsk, The Snow Court. My family runs one of the longest-standing muggle banks in Eastern Europe."
After the brief summary of her family's 'story', Amara hears Ami begin to speak. Dance, she expects the second years to dance for points. Not being able to prevent it, a snort escapes Amara's small nose. Amara looks over at Ami and in that posh tone she can carry response, fed up with the older girl's attitude. "We are not circus animals here to entertain you, go watch some of that mind-numbing television if you are so desperate for something to do since the existence of magic does not seem to be enough for you."
Amara looks back over that the dark-haired boy across from her, "I am debating just walking away from this... mess. Care to join me?"

Dancing?! Oh, Aurelia didn't need to be told twice. She stuck her wand behind her ear and hummed herself a tune. The extra points didn't even matter, she was just here to cheer up. Side, side, up, up, kick, back, cross... Her white sneakers glided across the grass, even though it was a bit more difficult than on concrete. She bit her lip, now totally focused on the footwork.
Once she had finished her little routine she smiled, did a little bow, and glanced up at Ami. Then she blushed and faced her bottle again. What if she had made a fool of herself? Maybe she should have done a more simple and funny dance like the one the dark-haired girl had done?
The dancing reminded her of when she used to dance in the empty classrooms during breaks. Gosh, she had really been lonely huh?
"Flipendo!", she said, this time with more enthusiasm, "Watch out Scar I'm coming for you" Her eyes wandered to her mate's bottles. Wait didn't Scarlett have more bottles? It seemed as though one had been knocked over. Aurelia hadn't thought about cheating, but for some reason, it didn't sit right with her. Scarlett surely deserved it.
A little dance escaped her as the bottle hopefully spun through the air and she waited for the comforting thud.

────── ☆ ───────SEPTEMBER 5TH
@Aurelia Roberts
Scarlett's curiosity was piqued after the fourth-year mentioned something about bonus points. Apparently, said the Hufflepuff seriously, if you could dance and maybe even do a headstand, then you could receive extra points in addition to flipping your bottle. She laughed slightly under her breath as the host began to jive and danced crazily around the second-years. According to her, they should be glad she wasn't singing. Scarlett snickered quietly. Thankfully, the fourth-year was making rather a fool of herself. That was unconscious payback sorted then.
Scarlett watched, amused, as her classmates began to follow the fourth-year in her dancing ventures. A brunette Ravenclaw began an awkward sort of jiggle, waving her hands and shaking her legs like a newborn dear. Aurelia joined in afterwards, performing a rather complicated series of footwork, crossing, stepping and kicking her legs. At the end, Aurelia did a sort of boogie and clapped her hands, shaking her arms to the non-existent beat. Scarlett couldn't stifle her laugh any longer, and she giggled way too loudly in front of everyone.
"Merlin's beard, Aurelia," laughed Scarlett, steadily approaching her friend next to the fourth-year. "Great dancing, but now I'll show you how to really shake a leg. Come on, join in!"
Most of her classmates were doing rather muted dances, but Scarlett decided to go all out this time. Go big or go home, right? And without further ado, she began her improvised routine.
First off, there was a completely chaotic whirling of the hands and hips as Scarlett squatted down, struck some poses at lightning-pace and flung her arms around as she swung herself around from her legs. Then she attempted to slide to the left and right whilst doing the typical hand movements - they were a bit sloppy and completely made up on the spot, but it worked well enough. Next, Scarlett, now completely exhausted, glanced at the fourth-year before trying to wrap up the dance stretching her hands up towards the sky and wiggling her hips, shaking them back and forth like an old woman. Finally came the grand finale as Scarlett made an effort to do a headstand...but epically failed.
She bowed to no one in particular.
Wiped out, Scarlett staggered back to her bottles and crate, next to Aurelia.
"Yeah, yeah, we all know who's going to win here," Scarlett joked, winking at Aurelia. "Flipendo!"────── ☆ ───────ReducioEach gif is a step in her routine! Thanks for the prompt Ami

@Ami ProcoppioOOOOOOOOOOoooooohhhhh! BONUS POINTS?!?! Game on!
Right off the bat, he was challenged to do a headstand. Oh, foolish mortal... YOU TRIGGERED MY TRAP CARD! Everyone was dancing, and Piérre stifled a laugh as he saw the director of the game dancing in their silly way. He would wait rather politely, all things considered, grinning like a maniac as he watched each performance. He couldn't help but clap after every dance, whooping and cheering everyone on in the way that they rightfully deserved. Good for them for breaking out of their shells and trying something new!
Finally, it was his turn. With a sigh, Piérre inhaled deeply, feeling the atmosphere around him. The air was electrifying, tingling from his head to the tips of his fingers and toes. With a grin, Piérre began to tap his feet back and forth before completely letting his instincts take over. It was a game that was his childhood. God, there wasn't a thing that he could do that didn't remind him of Nintendo and his muse... His absolutely carefree, goofy, and downright clutzy, muse
Back and forth he weaved, attempting to moonwalk while half humming a random melody that had elements of a circus theme in it... This was his circus, and he was the Ringleader, the lord of entertainment and Chaos combined. With a final pose with his arms extended, Piérre breathed heavily for a few seconds before grinning and then attempting to pull off his final maneuver. A headstand whilst casting a spell...
Drumroll please...
Muscle memory came back in full, and Piérre easily found himself on his head, swishing his yew wand as he attempted to focus on his flip. Blood was flowing to his head, but hopefully his determination would see him through...Rolled for Headstand Success... Utilizing Evasion as a Dexterity Substitute--

@Lizzie Callaghan and @Percival Gray have been skipped this round.
Ami was seriously glad that not many of the second years were taking themselves all that seriously. Seemingly without hesitation, albeit a bit hesitantly, @Nell Zoldak joined Ami with her own little dance, earning her a gentle smile and a thumbs up. "Bonus point for putting yourself out there!" she cheered, clapping her hands together as the Ravenclaw proceded to neatly land her bottle, as well. "Mad skills, man!" Quick to follow was @Aurelia Roberts, who totally got me with Mr. Astley. Performing an intricate box-step-kickline-thing, she most certainly earned Ami's admiration and respect. "Bonus point to you for your... insane coordination!" And like Nell, Aurelia proceeded to land her water bottle with ease. Maybe there was some sort of direct correlation between dancing and landing bottles?
@Amara Dragamior seemed to be acting like a lil stinker, not joining in the fun of dancing and even going as far as to suggest leaving. While there was no confirmation from Ami that she'd actually heard the Slytherin's words, her smile disappeared for a brief moment before she was back to her happy-go-lucky self. Regardless, she landed her bottle on her crate as well, earning her another point. @Scarlett Aden opted for a complicated but quite impressive routine that had Ami clapping wildly. "Beautiful job, easy bonus point right there!" she exclaimed, grinning widely as she landed her water bottle successfully, as well.
And of course, last but certainly not least... ever the little ray of sunshine, the second @Piérre Marchonné stepped out to start dancing, Ami already knew that she was going to be blown away. And sure enough, Piérre pulled off the coolest, nerdiest, and geekiest series of dance moves she'd ever seen in her entire life, although the headstand seriously impressed. "Easy peasy bonus point right there!" she exclaimed, flashing him a thumbs up as he managed to land his bottle as well.
"These're some seriously sweet moves, guys!" she exclaimed. "Y'all must really like balls, yeah?" Chuckling slightly to her self, she suddenly clapped her hands together as she called out, "2 more minutes! 2 more minutes!"

@Ami Procoppio and @Amara Dragamior
Percival listened closely to what the girl had to say about herself, not even bothering to focus on anything else but her. Moscow? that would probably explain the Russian accent she had in her voice. However, Percy did have some knowledge of the wizarding world in the frosty country. His grandfather and grandfather were private tutors, who frequently travelled to Russia in order to teach and provide lessons to the richer kind of families. During their younger years they both taught at different schools around the world, but never had the chance to teach at Hogwarts in their home turf. Percival shifted his gaze to the bottle and quickly flicked his wand at the direction of the bottle "Flipendo" grumbled the before turning back to his female counterpart.
"Interesting... what is the name if I may ask?" he said before being interrupted by the same annoyance as before. Ami had spoken up to lay down a new rule, something that made Percy put a hand to his face and shake it. Dancing?! was she serious? there was zero chance of him dancing for such a silly task, especially if it was only for a single bonus point "I agree with Amara, dancing for your entertainment is out of the question... especially if its for a pitiful point" he said with a shake of his head before looking back to the girl beside him "Gladly" Percy said as he slowly slid his wand back into his pocket "We better go, before it wastes even more of our time" he grunted while looking back at Ami with a displeased sigh. Gray motioned to the girl beside him to follow as he turned around, awaiting her to follow his lead.
