Smiling, she slowly stood up, and looked around. Everyone was lively and happy here, and that made Lindsey felt glad as well. She assumed that they would have a hard time throwing the two fur balls into water, however, it must be great fun.

Starlee and Rose volunteered for help. Quite kind girls they were…yeah. Actually most girls her met before was pleasant to stay with. But boys were clearly not. Maybe, even if she tried to see good things in everyone. Though mostly everyone’s quite acceptable.

“Woo thanks you guys! You are awesome!” Merrily she said when Starlee and Rose brought over some water. She glanced around again. There were pretty many people, though most of them seemed busy with their own business — cleaning their, or their friend’s pets. A grin slowly came up, when the other two girls were back and Rose asked how they should start.

Honestly speaking, Lindsey didn’t really have a plan already. Although she was definitely the kind of people who always got a B plan, not this time. She was busy playing with those adorable little creatures. Though, still good at thinking strategies, her brain started working.

That was when Amara talked about her plans. Wow, it’s great! Lindsey couldn’t help nodding. She herself maybe needed more time to think of this, and the girl was quite surprised that Amara had gotten it so fast. “Yeah, definitely it works!” Lively she spoke, walking over to pick up Napoleon.

Nodding to Starlee and Rose, she started. “Well, it’s gonna be hard…” It wasn’t surprising when the cat started struggling, but slowly it went into the water. She made a gesture to the other two, showing that it was time to face the big problem.

Starlee smiled back at Rose as she joined her in moving and preparing the water buckets for the two kitties. Starlee was now reconsidering her outfit decisions, as a bit of water splashed onto her white top. 'Well, so much for staying dry... It wasn't like the cats weren't going to try to get them wet anyway...' she thought.

She set the water bucket down on the tables close to where Rose had set one, but with enough space for the group to catch any escaping cats. It was then Amara described her plan, two of them could take Kaz, and the other three can work on Napoleon. "Sounds like a plan to me!" Starlee nodded, putting her hands on her hips determinately. She was not going to let these little ones get the best of her! Lindsey was very appreciative and Starlee thought the girl was extremely sweet. Well, in all honesty, all of them seemed sweet! She felt very lucky to run into such a nice group so quickly and she felt her first-year fears begin to drift away, at least for the time she was here helping them out. Later would be another story.

She positioned herself next to Lindsey as she lowered Napoleon into the water. 'Oh no, he did not like getting wet one bit.' she thought as she watched the cat begin to struggle. Lindsey gestured at her and Rose as a sign to get all hands ready to go. Starlee hesitated as she considered what the best move was. Grab the rag to wipe him down... or try to hold him down with Lindsey? Considering her minimal interactions with animals, she decided the rag might be the safer bet. She didn't intend to get scratched today! So she picked the rag up, doused it in the water, and began wiping him down as gently as she could. He was squiggling everywhere in Lindsey's grasp. She only hoped the cat wouldn't spring directly onto her in anger.

Rose had kinda wanted to work with Eyre, but she didn't argue with Amara when she suggested a plan of action. Plus, Eyre deserved less chaos in his life. Sleepy Kaz would probably be easier to wash than the lively Bengal cat named Napoleon.

She moved over to Lindsey as the Hufflepuff put her struggling little tiger in the shallow water. Rose picked up a rag after Starlee did. Rose let Lindsey hold her cat while she started rubbing the dirty kitty down with a washcloth around his shoulders and his neck. The dirt came off of him with the washcloth, slowly becoming visible in the water that was growing less clear as Rose and Starlee gently wiped the dirt out of his fur. His fur was shorter than Kaz's, which would probably be easier to wash him and dry him, but the kitty kept struggling, trying to writhe himself out of Lindsey's grip.

Napoleon splashed Rose with a particularly energetic twist, attempting to slip out of Lindsey's hands, though she caught him at the last second. Water flew up toward Rose, making big splotches of the front of her denim romper wet, and greatly lessening the amount of water in the tub. Rose laughed at the hyper little cat, wondering out loud, "Lindsey, what made you decide on Napoleon for a name?" She furrowed her brow, trying to think who Napoleon was- the human, of course, and said, "Wasn't that a famous military person or something?" It was so very clear that Rose was not too well-versed in the military, as she referred to him as "military person" and not "general or "lieutenant." She continued to wet the cat named Napoleon, gently washing him with the rag. She had almost cleaned his front half by now, his shoulders and the top part of his legs, and his neck.

How to wash his face, though? Rose held the washcloth out to Lindsey, saying, "Do you want to wash his face and ears and I'll hold him?"

She looked over to Eyre and Amara, seeing they weren't having quite as much trouble as they were having with Napoleon. "How are you guys doing over there?"

The 'Fit

Eyre and Amara had managed to get the sleepy boy in the tub without much of a hassle. He was thankful that Kaz didn't fight as much as Napoleon did; in fact, he seemed almost too tired to. To keep the cat occupied while he was in the bath, Eyre held out a few more treats for the cat to nibble on while Amara worked the water through his luxurious white mane. Needless to say, the kitten seemed pretty content.

"We're doing alright." Eyre told Rose with a smile, taking his eyes off of the silver siberian. "Kaz seems to be taking it pretty well." Once the sleepy kitty had munched down the treats, Eyre took some time to roll up the sleeves of his baggy cardigan. Unfortunatley, it seemed as though the treats had given Kaz a second wind and he decided that he was done with his bath. The Siberian leapt down, wet paws and fur plapping against the floor as he started to make a bee-line out of there.

"Oh, god!" Eyre yelped, his body instinctually moving in the direction of Kaz. "I'll get him!" He told Amara as he came towards the sopping wet creature who was trying to desperately get away from the group. The previously soft and serene Kaz had been reduced down to a soggy, flat-furred mess of an animal, his blue eyes wide as he licked at his drenched fur in an agitated frenzy. Turns out that he wasn't too happy about being wet after all.

Eyre was quick to grab ahold of the cat before he was able to get water all over the room, the cat hissing at him and digging his claws into his shoulder. He managed to keep a good grip on him however and was quick to push through the crowd of people to grab a towel for him before he managed to get away from him again.

He came back to the group with Kaz bundled up within a fluffy yellow towel, looking less irritated than he was before. "...Guess he didn't like that." Eyre laughed awkwardly, handing the towel-covered cat back to his human. "Can't say that I'm surprised. Bijou hates baths, too." He commented, running a hand through his disheveled curls and stopping to rub at the inevitable cat scratches that were forming on his shoulder. He wouldn't be surprised if he was bleeding a little bit.

Suddenly, Eyre remembered something important that he needed to do. "...I gotta go." He groaned. "My Astrology study group is in an hour." He really, really disliked Astrology. But, he knew that he needed to work hard at it this year unless he wanted to get an A on his report card.

Eyre turned to Amara and smiled at her. "Thanks for letting me help out. Your cat is absolutely adorable." He told her, giving a friendly wave to Lindsey and Starlee before sliding past them, wrapping his arms around Rose from behind. "See ya, Rosie." He hugged her softly before he went, walking out of the room with some pep in his step. Being clawed wasn't the most pleasant thing in the world, but he did feel like he got the serotonin that he very much needed.
