History/Background Story: Septima was born to Dean Blackjack, a wizard, and Willow Reynards, a muggle on April 21, 2009 in London, England. At the time of birth, the couple were only boyfriend and girlfriend but got engaged when Septima was two. A few months later Dean ends the engagement after discovering Willow was cheating on him. The couple decides on joint custody. Septima spent one week at her father's then the next week at her mother's. Her parents lived only 20 minutes apart so Septima was able to attend the same school. It settled into a normal routine for Septima. Willow married and started a family which Septima was happy to be a part of, while Dean tried to hide the magical world from Septima. He believed she was not a witch and wanted her to live a carefree muggle life.
When Septima was eight, during a visit with her mother, she got into an argument with her step dad. He had taken a book Septima was reading, telling her she had to finish her chores before getting the book back. She obliged, went and finished her chores for the day but when she returned, her book was gone. She asked her step dad where it had gone, he said that his two year old son took it. Septima searched for her half sibling to find that her book had been destroyed, torn to pieces. Septima called for her step dad, crying over her deceased book. Her step dad defended his son, claiming that he was too young to understand and that Septima should have taken better care of it. Septima argued that her step dad took it from her and therefore should have taken care of it. They yelled back and forth. Willow heard the commotion and sided with her husband. Suddenly, the book flew out of Septima's hands and struck her step dad in the head, they accused her of throwing the book. Septima said she did no such thing, the book did it on it's own. The couple called her a liar, saying she's grounded for the rest of the week. Septima, now very angry and confused, screamed repeatedly for them to call her dad. Willow said no. Then the toys that were on the floor, slowly rose into the air and struck both Willow and her husband. The step dad grabbed the frightened Willow, his son and ran out of the room. He then closed and locked the door. The Ministry of Magic was there before anything else could occur. The family was obliviated and Septima reunited with her father. Septima's father moved them out of his muggle community and into a wizard community located in London. He told Septima about magic and the wizarding world and about muggles. She was fascinated and started to devour whatever information she found about the magical world.
Dean got involved in the local community and met a woman, her name was Eileen. The two began dating and by the time Septima was nine they were married and a year later they were pregnant. Septima and Eileen did not get along very well. Eileen was a pureblood wanting to raise a pureblooded family. She saw Septima as a great inconvenience, so the two simply ignored each other. They were mere acquaintances living under the same roof and nothing more. Dean noticed the tension and decided that the first month of every summer, him and Septima would travel together, just the two of them. Eileen agreed to this arrangement.
When Septima recieved her hogwarts letter, she was jumping off the walls with excitement. She spent the months leading up to her first day questioning her father about the school. The closer she got to the first day of school, the more she asked about the sorting hat ceremony. Dean was a gryffindor. He expressed his hopes of his daughter taking after him but was also happy to inform her of the other houses. Both Dean and Septima ended up agreeing that she fit the most into Ravenclaw. Septima quickly took pride in the house she hoped to be in and it annoyed Eileen. Eileen took it upon herself to tell Septima that Slytherin was the best but only purebloods could get into the house. Septima told Eileen that Slytherin is the worst house and that she wanted nothing to do with snakes. This only created more tensions between them. Dean continued to try and bridge the gap between the two but nothing seemed to work. The day that Septima left for Hogwarts, Eileen stayed home.
