An Unexpected Meeting
Honestly, the way to get to the owlery was just too familiar that Melissa could probably get there blindfolded. Every two days, she would reply to her father's owls. He just sent way too many. Sometimes, she would be so happy that the Ravenclaw dorm was close to the owlery because she didn't have to climb a lot of stairs. When the ginger reached the owlery, she looked around the room, looking for her father's owl since she didn't have her own. Then, a small snowy owl swooped down and landed at Mel's feet and pecked. "Oh there you are little guy!" she exclaimed.
She fed the little owl some seeds and sent it off with the letter she was holding. Satisfied, she turned around to leave the owlery. She quickly walked down the stairs while thinking about spending the rest of the day in her bed, reading since it was a Sunday. Halfway down the stairs, Mel accidentally ran into someone face first. A small, "Oof," came out her mouth as she slowly backed away. Honestly! What is up with me and running into people? she thought. Looking more closely at the person she ran into, she noticed that he was about her age. Oh wow great. I'm just embarrassing myself now- Melissa thought. To be honest, this was not the first time it happened. "Oh my goodness I'm so sorry!" she quickly said to the boy. It was the only thing she could manage to say at the moment.@Aemadall Zarcovich

An Unexpected Meeting
@Melissa Carson
Logan had never really grasped the concept of owls. He had never sent an owl outside school grounds. The only one he had ever received outside Hogwarts was his acceptance letter. And even then, he freaked out because of the talking paper. It seemed everything was sentient here.
Today, he decided to try and send on to his family. His sister isn't even in Europe so no. His dad was probably surrounded by muggles now, nope. His brother was the only option because he was in his dorm by now. Malcolm it is.
He ran up the stairs to the owlery so he could get started. Thoughts raced through his mind on what he was gonna do. He need paper, owl, some ink and - OW!
He seemed to have hit something, maybe a wall. He looked back up and found it was not a wall. It was a girl. A first year girl. She quickly apologized before he regained his balance so he would fall down the stairs.He first met Alina when he bumped into her in the corridors. Now they were dating. He met Damion in the small hall. Now he was his best friend."Don't worry. I've been bumped into lots of times.""Thanks for not getting upset. I'm usually clumsy nowadays."

An Unexpected Meeting
"O-oh wow I'm actually the same," Melissa said. She really was extremely clumsy now for some reason. Maybe it was just because she was overwhelmed by Hogwarts or something but it just always happened. Looking more closely at the boy, she noticed that he didn't have anything with him. Why would anyone just go up to the owlery without a letter? she wondered. It was strange. Then, a thought came to Mel. Oh wait maybe he never sent an owl... she realized. Of course! He didn't have anything with him because he probably doesn't know what to use and all.
"Hey s-so um...I just noticed that you didn't have anything with you..." she awkwardly said. "I can help you if you want...you can say no of course-" Oh my goodness what an I even doing? the ginger wondered. Usually, she would just walk away as fast as she could in embarrassment but no, for some reason, she decided to help out instead. Maybe it was because she just wanted to help out a fellow first-year but she just didn't quite feel like herself. It was...really strange to be honest. Waiting for the boy's reply, Melissa looked outside the window, enjoying the beautiful landscape.@Aemadall Zarcovich

An Unexpected Meeting
@Melissa Carson
The girl seemed to be behaving awkwardly but Logan, of course, had experience with that so he was determined to make her feel comfortable.He said, smiling at her as he went up into the owlery."Sure, you can help me"Growing up in a muggle world, he used on technology and had never even sent mail by post office. He never thought he'd get sucked right into a fantasy world so he was much less prepared for this."I've never sent owls before, only received them, so this should be a good learning experience for me"
He saw an owl perched on a stick and he began to pet it. Over the past few weeks, he had grown accustomed to seeing magical creatures, and since some weren't exactly magical, he started to like them.He looked back at Melissa and said,"I'm guessing you need an owl to send letters here. I've never quite understood that."He reached out for a handshake and said,"Never quite got the name there. I think before we get this impromptu lesson started we're going to have to get our introductions in.He hesitated 'cuz he didn't really use his scandinavian name because it was hard to pronounce by a lot of people he met here. Truth be told, he wasn't doing this for the sake of writing letters, he actually wanted to make friends with pretty much everyone and right now, that was her."Hi, I'm.... Logan, and you are?"
