Field Day | Bottle Flip (but cool)
@Ami ProcoppioThe practicing over the summer and utilizing his brother as a tutor had worked out like a dream. Not only was the lad more confident in his ability to cast, but he was actually better and more accurate in both casting and hitting things the way that he wanted to. It was a peculiar sensation, the rush of accomplishment and adrenaline in successfully completing a goal. During his time in the Muggle life, Piérre had actually done some non-magical bottleflipping.
Evidently he wasn't all that rusty. Chewing on his lip as he watched the bottle flip through the air, Piérre let out a gasp as the bottle stuck to the crate almost magically. Bouncing like an infant, Piérre clapped his hands excitedly. What awesome beginner's luck! Stuff like that seemed to follow him around for some reason... but, like all good things relating to Lady Luck, Piérre knew that that kind of luck would not stick around for long, no matter how badly he wanted it to.
Though cheating and sabotaging others was a valid option in this event, Piérre didn't think it very sporting. This was a competition, yes, but it was also a game of skill. Besides, every person deserved a chance to shine and enjoy their moment of glory. That was the reason why Piérre quickly composed himself and flicked his wand again, breathlessly speaking the spell again:
"Flipendo!"

Hell yeah.
Scarlett gave a little pump of her arms in her undefeated victory, as the spell was cast without a hitch and landed right on the crate, the correct side up. She grinned like a Cheshireas she watched everyone else cast and flip their own bottles, most of them succeeding in their endeavours. Two of the seven participants caught her eye. One was a brown-haired girl, a second-year, obviously, who casted the spell successfully yet the bottle didn't quite land on the desired target, shakily wobbling and falling off the crate. Poor soul. And as for the other, Scarlett recognised him as the boy who she had very briefly met at the Welcoming Feast, the interesting one who wore different house colours in odd outfits for some reason. With a stroke of luck, the boy had managed to land his bottle in an incredibly sturdy position, seemingly impossible to sabotage in anyway.
Muttering a quick 'wow' under her breath, Scarlett turned to her bottle, deciding that there was no time to lose. The redhead quickly readied her wand again, and energised by her previous success, she shouted:
"Flipendo!"
The Gryffindor made sure to wave her wand in the correct movements and hoped another victory would come.
Then she saw the pebble streaking towards her first bottle, the one she had worked and prayed for. It was going to knock over, it could knock over. Scarlett dark-brown eyes narrowed and they conveyed a look of malice. Nature couldn't have chucked a pebble straight at her bottle, with an aim so accurate and a movement so grateful. She scanned the area to see if she could discover who this evil cheater was.ReducioAction Flipping bottle (additionally looking to see who the cheater was)

Though the bottle lands, Amara still rolls her eyes, mostly at others' excitement. Amara glances over at the fellow Slytherin who seems to have a similar viewpoint to this 'game' as she does. "Good thing I am all caught up on my work, if not this would be a bigger waste of time than it already is." That being said, Amara never misses an opportunity to win and prove that she is better than others. "Fillpendo" she mutters, waving her Mayhaw wood wand is the exact movements called for. As her bottle flys through the air, Amara smirks as she sees another girl chuck a pebble towards a bottle that has already landed. Foul-play, not Amara's favorite method of being victorious, but clearly it is for this other girl.
Everyone else but that girl who threw the pebble seemed to have landed their plastic bottles upright. Good. For. Them.
It is not even like Amara has issues with muggles, more so she just finds this whole event to be primitive compared to the abilities that second-year Hogwarts students should possess. The blonde looks back at her bottle and shakes her head, she could be reading, writing to her boyfriend or napping but here she is, flipping plastic water bottles with her wand.

Mentioning: Nell Zoldak again lol
Lizzie watched as her bottle flipped and landed correctly. A small cheer escaped her mouth; she hadn't expected it to actually land. Everyone but the girl beside her's bottles had also landed. It looked like the scores were going to be tight until the end. Not that it really mattered. It wasn't like the Gryffindor was competitive or anything...
Okay, now she needed to focus. She didn't want to even have a chance of the bottle not landing correctly. She knew that wasn't going to happen, but she could always hope. Maybe she was a little competitive. Just a little. Readying her wand, she prepared to recite the incantation, only to stop in shock as she noticed a small rock flying through the air seemingly en route to someone's bottle. She forced herself to look away before she could see if the rock hit its target or not. She needed to focus and flip her bottle.
"Flipendo," she enunciated, paying more attention to how she moved her wand than the pronunciation. She wasn't sure whether or not it would flip the bottle successfully. That wasn't good... She hoped at least if her spell didn't work, that someone else's didn't either. She didn't want to be the only one to fail that round.

Interacting with @Ami Procoppio and @Amara Dragamior
The bottle flipped in the air in front of him before landing safely upright on the crate, gaining Percy one point along with the rest of the students taking part. Although he had got off to a good start, his face still had the shallow uninterested look and it didn't seem like it was going to change anytime soon. Slowly, he began to lift up his wand and perform another flick of his wand, but that was soon going to be stopped by a voice behind him. A girls voice made sure to call him out on his attitude by stating he was a shrimp, a taunt that made the grumpy slytherin turn his face to the left as she walked next to him. And of course she couldn't help but threaten him by danglement, something of which made him chuckle to himself "You wouldn't dare embarrass yourself at your own event would you?" he muttered back with a shake of his head "Snowflake..." grumbled the boy as he turned back to the bottle.
Percy steadied himself once more to have another crack at flipping the bottle, but yet another voice came from beside him, this time in agreement "At least one person has a clear mind..." he said with a small grin over to the fellow pureblood before looking back at the bottle quickly "Flipendo" he mumbled before looking back at the girl, uninterested with the result of the flip "Your name?" he asked with interest as he let his wand hang loosely beside him

Field Day | Bottle Flip (but cool)
@Aurelia Roberts has been skipped this round.
Ami's eyes were locked on @Nell Zoldak as she watched the girl pick up a pebble, and with a killer arm, knock down @Scarlett Aden's bottle. The plastic-encased water tumbled off of the wooden crate to the ground, and Ami couldn't hold back the pleased grin that had sprung on to her face. She had wondered just how long it would take for the second years to turn to more shady strategies, and she was pleased to see that it hadn't taken long at all. Maybe this still had the potential to become the subject of a study!
... or maybe not. Everyone else seemed content with sticking to flipping their own bottles. @Lizzie Callaghan easily and effortlessly landed another bottle on her crate, along with @Piérre Marchonné. Both of their feats earned a cheer from Ami, who was clearly pleased with their willingness to participate. Scarlett was quick to replace her water bottle with a new one, and although she tried to scope out just who'd knocked her previous bottle down, Nell was simply too quick for her.
@Amara Dragamior and @Percival Gray were a prime example of birds of a feather flocking together, which Ami was frankly grateful for. At least they could keep their chatter between them, and she wouldn't have to resist the urge to throw one of the crates at their heads. No, because that would be wrong, and violent, and borderline psychopathic. But with lazy flicks of their wrists, they both managed to send their water bottles soaring through the air successfully, much to the Hufflepuff's dismay. She had half a mind to knock their bottles over herself, but she had to remain impartial as the referee.
... god, being the ref was boring.
"Alright, uh..." Once again referencing a non-existent watch, Ami called out, "Four more minutes, guys! Four more minutes! Get those bottles on your crate!"

OOC Notes and Reminders
- You may choose between two different actions each round: Flip or Sabotage.
======
- If you choose to FLIP, you will cast Flipendo. I will roll for success in casting (wisdom [DC 9]) and landing it (accuracy [DC 10]).
- If you choose to SABOTAGE, you will attempt to knock over someone else's bottle (please specify who) by chucking a pebble. They must have a bottle already landed in order to target them. I will roll for accuracy (accuracy [DC 13]), and then roll for power (strength [DC 9]).
- As can be seen here, you may improvise some other action that is not listed if you want. However, that means you will be subject to my judgment, discretion, and "house-rules" (as I've heard it been called on Critical Role). Proceed with caution.
- Please post within five days of each mod post. Next mod post will be September 23.
- Please add your stats and abilities with each post for modding ease.
- If you have any questions at all, don't hesitate to owl or DM me!

Field Day | Bottle Flip (but cool)
All it took was a simple flick of the wrist, yet all those children around her seem oh so very excited to have landed bottles on crates. Turning to her new male companion, Amara tucks a lock of hair behind her ear. "Amara, Amara Lada Sage Dragamior. Please to make your acquaintance. You are?"
As she waits for her reply, Amara flicks her wrist in the movement needed and mutters 'flipendo'. Her pale, slim, graceful fingers than extend out lazily for a handshake or maybe even some other form of greeting, like a kiss on her petite knuckles.
In the sunlight, the second year girl's hair would glow a brighter gold, sky blues getting pulled out of the sapphire coloring of her eyes, her smirk seeming more like a smile.
Light, clear blue, a facade of peace and simplicity. That is what most would see in her new companion's eyes. But Amara can see the silver threads of lighting that dance around in those irises, red-hot and ready to strike at anyone who tempts him. Eye of the storm, more like the storm of the eyes So different than anyone she has met before, dark but somehow... not. Whatever the case, Amara is glad to speak to him, more than the basic 'hellos' or 'good mornings' in the common room or dining table.

@Ami ProcoppioA cast, a spell complete, and another bottle on the wall for Piérre. Well, things were going smoothly so far, at this point Piérre was waiting for the big reveal, the fact that every single one of his bottles were secretly rigged in some way, shape or form. This was pretty great! He was having a good time, he was enjoying the friendly competition, and he was ready to continue flipping!
Four minutes left. Work fast, work hard. With a nod to acknowledge the referee, Piérre took a deep breath, allowing his positivity to emanate from him. Optimism was the thing that kept him safe and successful on more than one occasion. Now was no exception, and Piérre rolled his neck and put his shoulder back, focusing on the next bottle that he had set up for himself. At this point, he had tuned out the rest of the world. The only thing there was him and the bottle. That was all that mattered. The competition! Piérre loved competition. He thrived on competition. Of course, friendly competition, he had no resentment towards anyone who was participating in this event. That would be mean... Still, he wanted that cash... and the FROGS!

[font= Spectral]Aurelia had been daydreaming- again. As she watched her bottle soar through the air, she was distracted by an owl flying overhead. She wondered if it was a letter for her, maybe the one she was still waiting for from her parents.
The weather was pretty nice today... maybe she should go to the lake later. Ah- the lake. How well she remembers Scarlett falling into it. Aurelia should definitely ask her to come. She heard several thuds in the background, weird... what was she doing again?
Aurelia looked to her side where she saw Scarlett. Was she talking to her? No, there were other students as well. They were all focused on something. What were they saying? Flipendo?
Oh shit.
There she heard it again, the thuds. But now she knew that they belonged to the bottles that were currently being flipped. The bottles SHE was supposed to flip. Quickly Aurelia gathered her thoughts and hurriedly cast the Knockback Jinx. "Um. Flipendo!"
How much time had she lost?
Some of her classmates already had two bottles standing.
GAH. How was she supposed to win when her mind traveled so easily? Luckily her old bottle had landed. C'mon... get your head in the game.

SEPTEMBER 5TH

Cheating scum. The fun atmosphere of the game had turned darker - for Scarlett at least. First off, the evil student who had sabotaged her had gone unscathed, un-noticed, un-detected, un-punished and the redhead hadn't even found out who they were! Dark-brown eyes narrowed, a malevolent glare directed at where the pebble had come from. She had watched speechless as her plastic bottle crashed to the ground after toppling off the crate where it had seemed so sturdy (though not as sturdy as Piérre's). And to add fuel to the fire, Scarlett couldn't find out who had done it. And to top that off with a sour cherry on the cake, the redheaded host of the event, known school-wide as a lesbian, a newspaper writer and a drag queen, was smirking. Grinning. Smiling. Looking pleased.
It took all of the girl's willpower to not march up to this cocky fourth-year and scream and yell at her and throw a few hands. If the person responsible for this disastrous act wouldn't get caught, then the person looking amused by what was happening would deserve to pay. Barely restraining herself, Scarlett turned back to the bottle. She had decided that if the cheater wanted Scarlett out, then Scarlett wouldn't satisfy their petty goals.
She pointed her wand at the bottle, and yelled, "Flipendo!"
Her spell was cast rather forcefully compared to the others - who did cast their spells powerfully, yet they didn't have that dark tone in their voices that Scarlett had. This was not a game anymore.ReducioAction Flipping bottle
