I don't now if it's the same as Irish Law, but if a parent is reported to be abusing their child, they lose all rights to their money and so forth and all of it goes to the child or children.

Make your own future. Just because your parents are terrible people, does absolutely not mean that you can't make your own way in life."

Siobhán was hopeful. She just knew that this situation would turn out for the better. It might be a rough ride along the way and might take any amount of time to do so, but things had a way of sorting itself out. She just knew it did.

Thanks. I doubt I'll get any money, but that isn't too important to me. Katie meant it. It'd be nice to have money, but as long as she was safe, it was more than she could possibly dream of or wish for.
Who do you think I'll live with? I obviously can't live with them and I don't know any muggles. I don't have any other family that I know about that also aren't in Azkaban. Katie's older cousin, Lucinda Mirae Palsorette was in Azkaban because she was a low ranking death eater who'd killed a bunch of people and Hanna Via Palsorette, her other cousin, was in Azkaban for a brutal murder of a muggle born fifteen year old. Everyone else was dead or her parents. She really didn't mind who she stayed with though, as long as they were kind not cruel.
Do you think there'll be a restraining order so they can't come after me in retaliation? Katie asked softly. She thought that one might be, but she wasn't positive on that. I don't know how fast the Irish ministry works, but I hope it can be formalized before December, so I don't have to go top that stupid Yule pure-blood party my parents have been raving about. I've never liked parties as I'm very introverted, and it will be filled with the most stuck up and aloof pure-bloods of them all. Katie said with a deep sigh. It's getting late but I'm not too hungry. Usually I enjoy breakfast for dinner, but since I'm not hungry, I'm going to deliver these stupid letters to the Owlery. I don't want my parents top suspect something's off, especially if it isn't finalized before Yule. Katie said. The sun was sinking in the sky and the daylight was receding. It was probably close to around four thirty or five in the afternoon. Want to go to the Owlery with me? Katie asked Siobhán softly.

"I don't know what exactly will happen after I send the letter. Anything really. I suppose after my government send word to yours and it all gets sorted through, anything could happen. You could be assigned new guardians. I don't know. That's why I suggest reading the books on magical law so you can find some things out. I don't know everything," Siobhán laughs.

Siobhán started to put her hair back up into her bun. She did wonder what would happen. Katie's parents might not end up in Azkaban, but surely the British MoM would put Katie somewhere she would be safe. She's the safest she could be right now at Hogwarts. Sure, her parents can get into the school, but not if they have horrible intentions. Katie was safe here. She wouldn't have to worry about the summer holidays, surely. She knows that her Father will write back to her with all the news that will happen eventually after she sends her letter to him. Hopefully it will be filled with nothing but good news as well.

"I'll meet you there. We need to get to the great hall for dinner and then I'll go to my dorm to write the letter. There will be no staying up all night this time. We can't afford to be any more tired than we already are. Especially since we have lessons tomorrow."
