I would say that it's just an innocent child likes another innocent child as a good friend IC. It doesn't need to be seen as something romantic even if it's a joke.

That's a bit exaggerated but they say that nearly every time.
It's mostly because all of Lizzie's good friends are boys. Just like me irl *sob*. However, I have plans to make her become more friendly with girls this year. In a friends way. Not.. romantic way.. I mean come on she is only 13....
@Opeila Winters, Yes I have told them. I will ask them privatly if they do it again but for now I'm fine with it.
